Issues playing and hearing

hi there,
using Windows 8 I've been having a **** time trying to get MP4 files to play anywhere
I have the most up to date version of quicktime, and today even bought the pro version hoping it would fix the issues I am having.
Here is what it is doing: either 1 of 2 things!
1) that it won't play at all, (i think this happens about 75% of the time) stalls, freezes and has to be closed via task manager
2) that if I open it, but then click on another open window, then the movie will play in the background - but if this occurs I get ZERO sound.
I have a feeling i may need to update my codecs? but am really worried about doing this from unsafe sites, so if this is your suggestion then a suggestion on safe download sites would also be appreciated.

Am not a Windows user, but with regard to issue number 2, the Mac QT versio has a "Preferences" panel that controls audio playback. The default setting is for audio in the "frontmost" player only. If the Windows version is similar, then you can reset audio playback so that all videos play sound whether or not they are in the background.
As to the "won't play at all" issues, you have to be more specific regarding compression formats, file types, and encoding settings. QT is not designed to play all types of movies, in all tyes of file containers, using all possible setting combinations. Without more information, it is impossible to know what your specifi problem may be or how to fix it.

Once again, without knowing what specific compression formats and file types were used to create the files, it would be difficult for your fellow Windows users to make any recommendations.

The songs on my Ipod Classic wont play at all although you can feel and hear the machinery working hard. The tracks are not playng at all but you can see the Ipod rewinding them all and returning to the album. And this happens to the second IPOD I have!

First off, I would STRONGLY suggest that a external hard drive would make you life much easier by at least being able to back up your songs on the external drive for when you need them. Even if you don't want them in the iTunes library, you can have them all ready on the external to be re-added as needed. You can get 100's of gigs for under $100 shipped.
Anyway, since you used Yamipod, are all the songs back on the computer? If so, I would go ahead and restore the iPod, let iTunes then resync everything back to the iPod, then switch it back to manual and see if the restore and resync clears up the issue.

The problem is, when I send it to my customers, they have difficulty hearing the audio. A few of them say they have Flash player on their PC and somehow they still can't hear, some say their Google Chrome browser tells them they've already got one flash player while they try to download one. For me, I had to download two versions of Flash player to be able to access to the audio. I don't know what the problem is, is it because it's the latest version of Adobe Acrobat XI pro that people with older version of Adobe reader or flash player can't open it properly? And how are the customers accessing the PDFs?
What devices are they using?
What program or apps with versions are they using?
I this age of other then PDF eBooks formats and reader program and apss for computers and mobile devices for these formats I would look at creating the books in one or more of the eBook formats.
Google Chrome and FireFox both have their own version of a PDF reader plug-in and they are well known to be less capable than Adobe Reader. It is possible to configure these products to use Adobe Reader.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...

Video Issues: Scrolling and Playing

Hello,
I rip dvd's to use on my iPhone. 90% of them are from religious dvd's our organization makes. I been doing this for awhile now, for my iPhone. I have 2400 individual video files currently on my iPhone 4. All my rips are setup as TV shows and not movies. That way everything can be sorted according to the dvd's.
These issues below have increased over the past few updates. With iOS 4 being the worst so far.
First issue I have right now. When scrolling through the tv shows the scrolling seems to be jumpy. Doesn't matter if I am in root area of shows or scrolling through the show seasons themselves.
Second issue, when I am watching a video it will sometimes freeze and stop playing and goes back to my list of shows.
These videos are mixes in two types. Some are .MP4 and .M4V. The issue seems to happen with both formats.
I appreciate any help or tips you have.

Did you check the volume setting in that Flash Player?
Try to clear the Flash local storage and settings.
*Windows Control Panel > Flash Player > Storage: Local Storage Settings
**Remove a specific domain: Local Storage Settings by site
**Remove all domains: Delete All and Delete Data

Why? Seems to be an intermittent issue at present.

Rendering & Playback issues + can't hear audio when editing videoclip

Hi,
I have two issues.
#1: While editing my video, is there a way I can see the video and hear the sound at the same time? I've been trying to edit a video with no sound... very difficult to place a background for example at a specific time when I can't hear my voice, I can only see the video.
#2: After rendering, when playback in Quicktime for exemple, I can hear the sound but no video is playing. Why is that?

Xperia Z Tablet Video play and record problem

Hello, I have a problem with xperis of the tablet . When shooting video is uploaded black screen and green bar at the top. Likewise, I do not play video . Video recorded from the Z1 Compact And sena to Z tablet, is not played on video app sony, or photo app from google, but I play him in BS Player. I try faktory restore. No change. Plese hele me. I recommend that you first try to repair the software in your tablet using a computer and PC Companion or Bridge for Mac: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiatabletz/software/ but please note that this will delete all data on your tablet.

Music on my iPhone 5 won't play and is grayed out. HELP!

I got my iPhone 5 about a year ago and I never had any problems with my music until now. About 2 hours ago, I wanted to download a new song. So after it downloaded, my 4 most recent songs I had downloaded from iTunes the day before became grayed out and wouldn't play! That problem eventually got fixed but now some songs that I have and haven't purchaced from iTunes aren't playing and are grayed out. This keeps showing up next to the songs that are grayed out and when I tap it nothing happens:
I do have iOS 7.0.4, which is the latest softare. I don't know what happened when I plugged my iPhone in this time. I really need help without re-downloading all my music because I have about 500 songs. PLEASE HELP! Feel free to ask questions for details on my issue. Thanks.

Google Play and entitlement

We have successfully built and tested an Android app that when the test user signs on, the entitled folios display correctly with "download". We also have single issues available through Google Play and this feature works as well.
The issue we are having is when we load the app directly to our device, the sign in and entitlement works fine, but when we load the app through the Beta tester on Google Play, when the test user signs in, the entitlement does not show up, only singe copy purchases.
All the other features are working correctly.
We are using an Enterprise version of DPS

It sounds like you are seeing some odd performance issues with Logic Pro X. I recommend these troubleshooting steps specifically from the following article to help troubleshoot what is happening:

Verify that your computer meets the system requirements for Logic Pro X

Test using the computer's built-in audio hardware
If you use external audio hardware, try setting Logic Pro X to use the built-in audio hardware on your computer. Choose Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio from the main menu and click the Devices tab. Choose the built in audio hardware from the Input Device and Output Device pop-up menus. If the issue is resolved using built-in audio, refer to the manufacturer of your audio interface.
Start Logic with a different project template
Sometimes project files can become damaged, causing unexpected behavior in Logic. If you use a template, damage to the template can cause unexpected results with any project subsequently created from it. To create a completely fresh project choose File > New from Template and select Empty Project in the template selector window. Test to see if the issue is resolved in the new project.
Sometimes, issues with the data in a project can be repaired. Open an affected project and open the Project Information window with the Project Information key command. Click Reorganize Memory to attempt to repair the project. When you reorganize memory, the current project is checked for any signs of damage, structural problems, and unused blocks. If any unused blocks are found, you will be able to remove these, and repair the project. Project memory is also reorganized automatically after saving or opening a project.
Delete the user preferences
You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not impact your media files. To reset your Logic Pro X user preference settings to their original state, do the following:
In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
Press the Go button.
Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro X, then you may also wish to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
If you have upgraded from an earlier version of Logic Pro, you should also remove~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro.
Restart the computer.

Reinstall Logic Pro X
Another approach you might consider is reinstalling Logic Pro X. To do this effectively, you need to remove the application, then reinstall Logic Pro X. You don't have to remove everything that was installed with Logic Pro X. Follow the steps below to completely reinstall a fresh copy of Logic Pro X.
In the Finder, choose Applications from the Go menu.
Locate the Logic Pro X application and drag it to the trash.
Open the Mac App Store
Click the Purchases button in the Mac App Store toolbar.
Sign in to the Mac App Store using the Apple ID you first used to purchase Logic Pro X.
Look for Logic Pro X in the list of purchased applications in the App Store. If you don't see Logic Pro X in the list, make sure it's not hidden. See Mac App Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases for more information.
Click Install to download and install Logic Pro X.

I updated my iPhone and now none of the music on it will play. When I sync, I can change teh music selections on it, but they all won't play and are greyed out. Only the Playlists, Artists, Albums are black font, but all songs are grey and won't play

I recently updated my iPhone 3G to 5.0 (9A334) and it was somehow interrupted during restoration, or at least that is what it tells me. But it keeps making a new restore and adding it to a list, but never gets through without getting interrupted. anyways, I kind of got through all that, but now all the music on the iPhone won't play and is greyed out. I had some APPs greyed out, but they are not as important. Music is a huge investment in my life and this part of it has gone silent. I SYNC with my iMac. Resyncing doesn't help. I can change the selections, but can never get them to play on the iPhone.
Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue, i restored my phone to Factory settings, even tried restoring it to my backup, half of my music bought from itunes won't play on my iphone and i'm super annoyed, this only happened once i updated to ios 7.2 so i assume its another glitch to go with my imessages not sending, getting sick of this.
