Issues with Blackberry Playbook not being recognised by Windows Explorer

Hello, I'm new to the forums but am having the same problems as many others are, that being my Playbook not regonised by Windows Explorer. I have tried all of the solutions I have read like unistalling Desktop Manager, uninstalling then re-installing drives in Windows Device Manager. But one I recently stumbled across was uninstalling Blackberry Device Manager, how do I do this?
Also the main problem appears to be that my Playbook will not sync anything with my computer. In Desktop Manager I can back-up my Playbook, but not sync anything. After re-installing a drive I now get the message of: 'Your Blackberry device is not compatible with this feature' whereas before I got the message of: 'You haven't configured any sync methods' but yet all of the sync options were greyed out. 
How do I get Windows Explorer to recognise my Playbook as a drive and how can I sync in Desktop Manager?

    Anyone have an issue withe airplay button not being available?

    Since the last pair of updates, my game camera won't pan around in any adventure level, leaving many sub levels off screen.  This is happening in all community adventure levels as well as my own on my moon.  Also can't seem to decorate my adventure levels without experiencing major glitches, especially with changing the materials.  The updates fixed a lot of stuff, but it seems like they trashed some things too.

    My new ipod is not being recognised on my pc.
    I have:
    Reintstalled the latest Ipod Sw 2005-26-6 (and the original version 2004 8-6)when the latest load didnt work. reinstalled iTunes and tried to restore my ipod.. when i do, i have a pop up that says that the ipod is locked!!. I have gone on the aple support website and it tells me to format my ipod for windows i need "iPod for Windows Software 1.0" but it states that this is not found on the Apple website! My original pacjkaging only had the one disc with itunes and ipd sw (no specfic Windows sw)... And even if this sw is on the disc.. it wont connect to my laptop as its formatted for a mac!! Im going on holiday in two days.... PLS HELP ME.

    I have the same problem! My iPod worked for about 2 hours and then, it froze and turned off and now all I get is a sad iPod icon. I have done everything and it will not reset/restor/go into disk mode or anything. I have downloaded all new software and my PC won't recognize anything.

  • Mar-2015 firmware for hp 8620 solves my issue with 6x4 paper not being picked up

    I had continual problems with my hp 8620 not picking up 6x4 photo paper.
    I tried a number of fixes as suggested elsewhere on forums. I had the most success with the "scan and copy 99 blank a4 pages" workaround, but half the time the printer would still fail to feed the 6x4 on the first go.
    Good news though, the latest firmware dated Mar 17 2015 has resolved this for me, and maybe it will improve it for others with the same problem.

    I just spent several hours troubleshooting this printer. My rollers were all clean. I then used a bright flashlight and monitored thru the front what it was doing when trying to load paper.. There is a grey wheel that is lowered to the paper and rotates pulling the sheet in. It simply just isn't getting lowered enough because its just spinning on top of the paper. I've tried a dozen different types of paper from heavy/thick to thin. I've tried fanning the paper and I've tried not fanning the paper. I've tried a full stack of paper down to a few sheets and everywhere in between. This is just a flawed printer and based on the hundreds of people I see having the exact same issues with this printer so soon afte purchase is an eye opener. {Content Removed: no legal discussion permitted} I'm simply this fed up with my last several HP printer purchases. Anyone else that is as fed up with me please {Personal Information Removed}. I'm going to start tracking down as many people as I can.   • Playbook not being seen in Windows 8.1

    I have installed Blackberry Desktop  and Blackberry Device Manager the Desktop software does not see the playbook when connected but the Divice Manager does!
    I go the following error message when I checked in Windows Device Manager
    "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
    An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry."
    What does it mean and how can I rectify the issue?

    This made me panic for a moment too, but the upgrade just made my phone forget my computer. When I unlocked my phone, it asked me whether or not I wanted to Trust the computer I was plugged into. After choosing Trust, then unplugging and plugging back in, it showed up again. Hopefully that's all that's happening for you too.

  • IPod is not being recognised by Windows

    After installing iTunes 7, It updated my 30GB iPod video to firmware 1.2, on my iPod apparently it seemed to be loading the firmware, but after it finished my iPod was not detected as an iPod anymore on the windows explore but as an unformatted driver.
    when I opened iTunes 7 it said it had to be restored.
    When the iPod is unplugged I can play my music, see my photos and view my videos in it.
    I do not want to restore it because I'll loose all my music and files I have in it, I tried using iPod data Recover to make a backup, but since it's shareware it wont allow to do any backups...
    Is there a solution to this?
    I've tried downgrading to an older firmware with no luck.
    I searched the forum for hours for a solution without luck.

  • IPhone 4 with ios 5 no longer recognised in windows explorer

    Just updated my iPhone 4 to ios5 last night. Since then I can't see my phone under windows explorer. It shows up fine in iTunes. So now I can't manage my pictures and videos.
    I've tried it on 2 different windows machines, both XP.
    Help please!

    Just to double check here, are there photos in the Camera Roll? The only time the iPhone will show up in Windows Explorer is if there is content in the Camera Roll. If there is no content there it will not show up since there is no other file management that you can do from there. If there is content, try and reset the phone, will not do anything to data, by holding down the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. See if that helps.

When I replaced these and turned the phone back on, it requested that I input my Blackberry ID details - according to the screen I have inserted a new SIM Card (which I have not). Despite these being correctly entered, the response was something along the lines of "the details entered do not match a valid BBID" However, I have signed in and out of my BBID account on my tablet with the exact same details without issue. I have reset my password to no avail. 
    I first contacted my service provider who directed me to contact Blackberry, however the phone number they provided me with was incorrect. 
    So now I am at a loss! Any suggestions?

    Hi @mdouglas! Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
    Since you changed the password of your BlackBerry ID, the account is now unrecognizabe by the device. You need to perform a secut\rity wipe to be able to login using your new BB ID credentials.
    *Note: Performing a security wipe will delete all of your data, having a backup is ideal. See this KB for instructions on how to perform  Security Wipe:  KB14058

  • Seem to be having an issue with similar emails not being picked-up by mail

    Hi,
    I'm running OS4 on a 3GS phone. Over the last couple of days I've noticed that when I get multiple emails in short time frames with either the same subject or from the same account (alert messages), they don't get synced to my iphone. We are using exchange with Active Sync and up until the OS upgrade, this was not an issue. I'm thinking it's related to the new threading capability (it's not showing one message with multiple threads if anyone's thinking that).
    Is Anyone else seeing this? I downloaded the patch and applied it, but didn't fix this issue. I also had a problem yesterday where the phone wouldn't leave the recent callers screen (had to reboot the phone). Anyone seen this issue either?

    When you look at your yahoo account, is the ebay mail being held in a bulk folder? There's a Yahoo mail option to release bulk mail which Yahoo mail thinks is spam.
    In preferences, do you have your mail id's set up as [email protected] (the complete email address) versus just name? Using just name will cause it to ask for the password each time.
    I haven't seen the mail application available as a stand-alone download.

    My Blackberry ID will not work on my smatphone (Blackberry 9320 Curve). It says that I need to enter the ID associated to this smartphone but I am. I'm entering all the correct information but it sill says the same hing. How do I get it to workagain?

    For whatever reason it thinks you're using a different BBID than what was used on the device to begin with.
    Do you still have access to the device? Can you look in in Options >BlackBerry ID and see what it shows in there for a BBID on the device?

  • I am having trouble with my ipad not being recognised in itunes when I connect

    Hi I need to connect to my itunes account with my ipad to manage content. I have an IMac and when iI connect via USB or WIFI itunes doesn't "find" my Ipad. I have had it for over a year and it has always worked before. I have read a lot of the posts on here and tried rebooting both, reinstalling, different leads and USB sockets (iphone picked up fine ) and nothing is working. Does anyone have any ideas as I'm stuck with a useless Ipad at the moment. I considered going to the apple store but from posts on here they seem to be useless as well. Thank you.

  • Problem with Apple TV not being recognised in iTunes

    Hi all,
    Trying to fix a situation for a family member. I've seen a lot of similar threads here but nothing that solves my problem.
    The setup is as follows:
    - ATV2 connecting using wifi running latest update
    - windows XP desktop running latest iTunes (10.4)
    - router is supplied by broadband provider (Rogers)
    Initially nothing worked at all. I found two key problems firstly the iTunes account was disabled and secondly we had a whole host of firewalls issues.
    These both appear to be resolved and the ATV can happily connect to the iTunes account and stream music video and photos.
    The problem is that the ATV won't appear in iTunes. When the ATV is connected there is no "Apple TV" tab in the preferences settings (which their should be) and the ATV won't appear under the devices section either.
    If I try to quit iTunes it warns me that an Apple TV is connected but even then it wont appear anywhere.
    This happens with the firewalls completely disabled and after many, many reboots of everything.
    Any ideas on how to resolve this?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    The Apple TV 2 doesn't appear either under devices or in the preferences, only the Apple TV 1 did that.
    The only place you'll see it in iTunes is under the list of Airplay devices.

  • Issue with HelveticaNeue text not being included when printing to Adobe PDF?

    I have a document (Word 2010 docx) with a section of HelveticaNeue text on the front page that when printing through Adobe PDF the text does not appear.
    Using Acrobat 9.4.6
    Tried the same document with:
    Win2Pdf - Displays correctly
    Converted to .doc - Displays correctly
    File\Save as PDF - Dispalys correctly
    Any ideas? I can post the document up here but I can't see an option to.

    You can try disabling the “Rely on system fonts only: do not use document fonts” option in printer properties.
    To do the same.In MS Word:
    Goto File -> Print
    Select Adobe PDF as printer.
    Click on "Printer Properties".
    Go to "Adobe PDF Settings" tab.
    Uncheck the “Rely on system fonts only: do not use document fonts”
    Click Ok and try printing the document
    Also update your Acrobat to latest version 9.5.0.
