Issues with Single Frequency Analysis

Hi all,
I recently installed multisim 13 on a new computer. I went to do a simple single frequency analysis of an RC circuit and got some funny results. The magnitude of the voltages measured by the probes seem to be off, and I have never experienced this on any other computer I have used. I have tested it in multiple circuits and always get the same problem. I was wondering if there is some setting I am missing that will change this, but I have searched forums for two days now and haven't come across this particular issue. I have attached some images to show what I'm describing.
Thank you

It looks to me like it's working properly for the default source "AC analysis magnitude" (1Vp).  How did you get the source to say "VRMS"?  What version of Multisim are you using?

  • AP Tax Calculation issue with SINGLE TAX vs TAX GROUP

    Hi Gurus,
    i need your help on below, please advise!!
    i have to calculate ap VAT tax on AP invoice,
    (Rounding = nearest, precession=2, tax calcualtion= Include tax)
    if i calculate 5% is the tax rate, then the tax amount is 0.47cents,this is in case of single tax calculation.
    here my requirement was i need calculate 2 Taxes(TAX A AND TAX B (Rates are 5 AND 5%)
    EG:
    Invoce Base amount = 10 dollars
    in case of single tax = 5/105 * 10 = 0.4761 cents(this is 48cents in apps with rouning nearest and precession 2)
    tax mode = Include tax
    In case of tax group = Tax A and Tax B = 5 + 5 = 10%, when i calculate this in apps its showing 45cents and 45 cents as tax A and B
    why this tax caluclation is different with single tax and tax group.
    tax code actual amount tax amount remaining amount
    single tax 10 0.4761 10 - 0.48cents = 9.52 cents
    tax group 10 45+45=90 cents 9.10 cents
    Please Help !!!
    Thanks,

    Hi Vineeth,
    This is Kathy from BSI Support.  I wanted to make sure that you understood that the TF80 Like Reciprocal flag was made available in TF90 for testing purposes only.  This was meant as a tool for customers to be able to compare their TF90 results to their TF80 output, to insure a successful upgrade.  This funcitonality, however, was never intended to be utilized going forward.  There have been significant changes implemented in BSI TaxFactory 9.0 regarding multi-state withholding (also known as reciprocity).  There is information available on our website that explains these changes.  If you log onto our website, please look under the "Whats New" section for an explanation of reciprocal functionality in BSI TaxFactoryu2122 9.0

  • What are the network issues with single user versus mulit-user version?

    I am having trouble attempting to share Pages documents over a network. My documents are created and saved in Pages on Mac 1. The same documents are opened, edited and re-saved on Mac 2.
    Upon re-saving any document on Mac 2, (originally created on Mac 1), two error messages will appear. The first message says: "You do not have permissions to save changes in this document".
    Once I have fixed the permissions problem, another message appears. The second message is: "Type: Couldn't save image. Description: thumbs/pagethumb1.tiff".
    The only way to solve this second problem is to save the document with a different name on the station you are currently working on. It looks like the page previews may not be readable from station to station. Not to mention the network permissions not being transferrable from station to station.
    I am wondering if both these problems are related to the fact that I am using a single user version of Pages when I should be using a multi-user version because of the network.
    The Mac OS I am using is a Family version for up to 5 users. The Pages (iWork) version is strictly single user.
    I am currently using Pages version 2.02.
    Mac G4 Dual Mirror and Mac G4 AGP Graphics   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   both systems have lots of RAM; the G4 AGP has a smaller drive

    Forgive my ignorance of UNIX, but will what you are
    suggesting create multiple copies of the same file,
    leading to confusion?
    The way I have set up my system there are copies of all my important files on the other machine, but not multiple copies of each file. Rsync backs-up the changes to existing files or copies new files to the other computer. It can be set to mirror one machine on the other, copy only certain files, not copy certain files, etc.
    Currently I am opening the file over the network,
    making changes and saving them back to the original
    file. When I open up the same file on the sharing
    Mac and attempt to do the same, permissions and save
    problems occur. If I start out on the sharing Mac,
    then open the original file on the networked unit,
    the same permissions and save problems occur. No
    UNIX commands are used.
    I don't know what is causing the problem you are experiencing, but there is way to do what you want. Rsync is one way, there are several other ways to synchronise machines that do not involve you typing out unix commands. Do a search here for synching folders
    But at least I am only working with one file. And I
    have my wife and oldest daughter using the Macs.
    They are even less technically proficient than me.
    How can I use the method you suggest without having
    multiple copies everywhere? And how will I do this
    without scaring my Luddite family?
    the system I use (rsync, .sh file, cron) is automatic. The files are backed up automatically every hour from 8 am until 10 pm. If there are no changes, nothing is backed up.
    my macbook backs up specified files/folders from folder andrew and folder bev to the identical folders on my wife's mac mini.
    the mac mini backs up the same folders to the macbook.
    I use the mackbook 99% of the time, my wife uses the mini 99% of the time. this way all her files are availalble on the macbook and mine are available on the mini.
    Once setup to your liking this is a transparent and unobtrusive system, but there are alternatives.

  • Issue with single table hash cluster

    I'm still learning lots about html db so please do bear with me...
    I have a table that is part of a single table hash cluster. The cluster and table are created like so:
    create cluster webmon.owm_system
      db_id number(3),
      env_id number(3)
    size 171
    hashkeys 1009
    single table
    pctfree 2
    pctused 96;
    create table webmon.owm_system
      tier_id number(3) not null,
      host_id number(3) not null,
      port number(4) not null,
      sid varchar2(8) not null,
      admin_user varchar2(32) not null,
      admin_auth varchar2(48) not null,
      primary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      primary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      version_id number(3) not null,
      log_mode_id number(3) not null,
      db_id number(3) not null,
      env_id number(3) not null,
      admin_conn varchar2(32) null,
      constraint owm_system_pk primary key (db_id, env_id)
    cluster webmon.owm_system
      db_id,
      env_id
    );I have created a form (and report) to view and edit the data in the table. When I click the "Apply Changes" button on the form after editing data, I get an error. The SQL that is sent to the database is incorrect.
    Here is the (reformatted) incorrect SQL that is sent (captured in a database trace file):
    update
      "WEBMON"."OWM_SYSTEM"
    set
      "SECONDARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0001,
      "DB_ID" = :DML_BV0002,
      "DB_ID" = :DML_BV0003,  /* This should not be here */
      "ENV_ID" = :DML_BV0004,
      "ENV_ID" = :DML_BV0005,  /* This should not be here */
      "HOST_ID" = :DML_BV0006,
      "PORT" = :DML_BV0007,
      "SID" = replace(:DML_BV0008,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_USER" = replace(:DML_BV0009,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_AUTH" = replace(:DML_BV0010,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_CONN" = replace(:DML_BV0011,'%null%',null),
      "VERSION_ID" = :DML_BV0012,
      "LOG_MODE_ID" = :DML_BV0013,
      "TIER_ID" = :DML_BV0014,
      "PRIMARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0015,
      "PRIMARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0016,
      "SECONDARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0017
    where
      "DB_ID" = :p_rowid
    and
      "ENV_ID" = :p_rowid2Why are the DB_ID and ENV_ID columns in the statement twice? That is the error.
    Now, if I create the table as just a basic, non-clustered table like this:
    create table webmon.owm_system
      tier_id number(3) not null,
      host_id number(3) not null,
      port number(4) not null,
      sid varchar2(8) not null,
      admin_user varchar2(32) not null,
      admin_auth varchar2(48) not null,
      primary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      primary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      version_id number(3) not null,
      log_mode_id number(3) not null,
      db_id number(3) not null,
      env_id number(3) not null,
      admin_conn varchar2(32) null,
      constraint owm_system_pk primary key (db_id, env_id)
    );Everything works as expected. The (correct) SQL sent in this case is:
    update
      "WEBMON"."OWM_SYSTEM"
    set
      "SECONDARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0001,
      "DB_ID" = :DML_BV0002,
      "ENV_ID" = :DML_BV0003,
      "HOST_ID" = :DML_BV0004,
      "PORT" = :DML_BV0005,
      "SID" = replace(:DML_BV0006,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_USER" = replace(:DML_BV0007,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_AUTH" = replace(:DML_BV0008,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_CONN" = replace(:DML_BV0009,'%null%',null),
      "VERSION_ID" = :DML_BV0010,
      "LOG_MODE_ID" = :DML_BV0011,
      "TIER_ID" = :DML_BV0012,
      "PRIMARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0013,
      "PRIMARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0014,
      "SECONDARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0015
    where
      "DB_ID" = :p_rowid
    and
      "ENV_ID" = :p_rowid2The "real" system in question has a fairly large number of single table hash clusters. I'm leary of continuing my explorations if there is a problem with using single table hash clusters. On the other hand, I'm quite open to the idea that I've done something wrong!
    Any pointers? Is there anyway to change the SQL that is being generated when using the single table hash cluster? More information needed?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,
    Can't help with the hash table problem but as a method of dealing with it you could just make a procedure to manage the table.
    Pass the value of :REQUEST (matches value of button) in and you'll be able to modify the tables.
    procedure manage_owm_system (p_request varchar2,db_id number ...)is
    begin
    case p_request
    when 'CREATE' then
    insert
    into ....
    when 'SAVE' then
    update .....
    else
    raise_application_error(-20001,'Unkown request');
    end case;
    end;
    put that in a plsql reqion after submit
    begin
    manage_owm_system(p_request=>:REQUEST,p_dbid=>:P1_DBID .......);
    end;
    You need to create something similar , with out parameters, to populate the items when the pags loads.

  • Frequency Analysis on Adobe Audition CS5.5 for bioacoustics research

    Hi everyone,
    In need of some help.
    I research whale/dolphin sounds, and have previously used Raven Pro for analysis. Ive found Adobe Audition produces a much better spectrogram (think it must be the FFT algorithm) and allows me to visualize a lot of whale calls that I may have missed previously by visual inspection on other software.
    I need to measure these calls. Basically I need the duration (seconds), minimum frequency (kHz), maximum frequency (kHz) etc.
    I have played around with the Frequency Analysis tool in Adobe Audition, and this cannot compute these figures for me at all. In Raven, it was extremely user friendly, and all you had to do was highlight the call by moving your cursor over and selecting the call, and in the left hand window, it would tell you the min F and max F and duration for that swatch that you had highlighted. Is there any way of doing this in Adobe? I know you can visually see on the right hand side the Frequency axis- but it doesn't give you the exact frequency i.e. I need it to be to 2 decimal places eg. 2.12 kHz minimum etc.
    I have inserted a screen grab of what I mean when you "highlight the call".
    Is there any way of doing this? I would be incredibly surprized if Adobe Audition does not have the ability to do so. But I have read through the manual and gone through a lot of threads and just can't find any information on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
    Thankyou so much in advance
    Bec.
    p.s. Whilst Im asking, is there anyway to change the time format in the "Selection/View" box? Ive seen you can display it many many ways, but I need it in seconds, and the most sensible time format is mm:ss.ddd. Is there anyway I can change it to just ss:ss? There are a bunch of options for frame times, but nothing else for actual time.

    When you highlight a section, in the bottom right corner of the screen you'll find the timing section, and in there the box marked 'duration' will show you exactly how much time you've highlighted. In Frequency Analysis, the way to note highest and lowest frequencies is, unfortunately, manual and involves finding them with the cursor and noting the cursor information (under the display). If you open the advanced window, you'll get more information, including the level of the frequency at the cursor position. Also there's a bug in the display (or more to the point, the way it's calculated) which means that if you highlight just one section in the spectral view, this isn't what the Frequency Analysis display shows - I'm reporting that one.
    p.s. Whilst Im asking, is there anyway to change the time format in the "Selection/View" box? No I'm afraid there isn't. I did try a cheat to see if I could at least get the timeline to do this, but that won't work either. Yes I think it should be there as an option too...

  • Frequency Analysis - batch automation Query

    Hi,
    I was wondering if its possible within adobe audition to automate a process of performing frequency analysis on a batch of audio files and saving the frequency analysis windows in individual bmp files?
    There is a file batch utility which I am aware of for processing groups of files. However with the frequency analysis window - the only way of saving this window is by Alt-PrintScreen and manually saving file to another bitmap package.
    Is anyone aware of a way/system/tools of achieving this ?
    Thanks for any suggestions

    ok, thanks for the tip.

    There's no way of doing this within Audition, but I think that there are external batch process programs that might let you do this using Audition - if you see what I mean. I don't personally do things like that, but maybe somebody who does could recommend one? Alternatively, and probably rather a better bet, re-ask the question on the AudioMasters forum. You are more likely to get a meaningful response, quite frankly.

  • Issues with Analysis Authorization on Infoset

    Hi all
    We are facing an issue with Analysis Authorization on Infoset, it doesnt seem to throw authorization error when we access a record that is outside the authorization. We tried to use the same authorization set up from the same user we try to access the a record that is outside the authorization it behaves correctly.
    Here is my setup
    0CRM_MKTELM__0CRMCAMPTYP = ZA11
    0TCAACTVT = *
    0TCAIPROV = *
    0TCAVALID = *
    When I tried to access ZA12 it should throw an authorization error but for infoset it doesnt seem to work. Is there anything that we should take note for Infoset?

    Hi Chee,
    I am getting similar issue.
    I believe navigational attribute was already a authorization relevant in your case.
    What and where did you set it as authorization relevant to make it work on infosets.

  • Issues with Analysis Authorization checks in APO

    Hi Friends,
    I am facing an issue with Analysis authorization checks in APO.
    We have setup user access based on Management Entity (Analysis authorization - AGMMGTENT and 0TCAACTVT) and core APO authorizations (based on the work profile - e.g: Demand Planner).
    Scenario: Consider User A has access to India and Australia Management Entities with 0TCAACTVT - *
    This user also has display access to all management Entities (AGMMGTENT - * and 0TCAACTVT - 03). This scenario works very well in Quality where the RSECADMIN trace shows check on both Characteristics. However in Production the RSECADMIN trace shows up only against AGMMGTENT (*) and by default takes 0TCAACTVT as (*).
    In Quality the Characteristics that get checked are as below : and it works as expected. Display access for Management Entities that are supposed to be displayed only and change access to only the Management Entities that it should.
    However the Trace for Production shows the following : As a result it is allowing the user to change access to all management Entities. Which is not desirable..
    Resultant trace results are as below: This should not happen..
    I have compared all Analysis Authorizations and it is same across both Instances. The Demand planner access is consistent too..
    Will it be possible for you to advise on what could I be missing.

    Hi All,
    If it helps, in Quality: the Authorization checks are listed as: Subselection (Technical SUBNR) 1
    while in Production it checks Subselection (Technical SUBNR) 1 in one place, however where it fails - the check happens as Subselection (Technical SUBNR) 0.
    Is there a way we can change this to SUBNR 1. Is there any table entry that I can look at to check if the Authorization check is functioning incorrectly..
    Please advise.. Thanks..

    Prakash

  • Issues with multiple Files with multiple subdbs on a single environment.

    I'm having an issue with Berkeley DB 4.2 on 32-bit platforms, regarding multiple physical files with multiple subdatabases in a single database environment. Specifically, when I open a subdatabase for a physical file, Berkeley DB thinks that it is using the same subdatabase in a different physical file.
    I'm doing the following:
    1. Create and open a db enviornment.
    2. Move file1 to the common area.
    3. Open, get and close the subdatabases in file1.
    4. Move file2 to the common area.
    5. Open, get and close the subdatabases in file2.
    6. remove file2 from the common area
    7. Move file3 to the common area.
    8. Open a subdatabase from file3. About 1/2 the time, the fetches
    return data from file2, not from file3.
    It's possible that at some earlier time (i.e. before step 1 of this
    test case), file1, file2 and file3 were the same file. I noticed
    that there is something called env->fileid_reset, but that is not
    in 4.2.52.
    Any ideas?

    Looks like I've resolved the issue

  • Problems with Frequency analysis

    I use the frequency analysis a lot for comparing specific points on similar tracks.  Every once in a while, the freq anal will stop live-updating.  In fact, it will not register a changing in the cursor position on the edit or spectral freq view at all.  Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?
    Thanks,
    Senluga
    ps, I have tried lowering the FFT size to no effect.

    If you want to have the 'good frequencies', you must set your dt.
    if you use LV6 and waveform, the dt is the inverse of your sampling
    frequency.
    If you use older version, you can set your dt buy bundling dt value and the
    array of point. you also can set the multiplier value in the
    attribute/propertie node.
    dt is always the inverse of the sampling frequency.

  • Multiple Alerts for Single error in interface is a design not issue with XI

    Hi,
    This is constraint of alert mechanism in XI.
    You get multiple alerts for single error,the reason is that since XI will try multiple times to process a failed message so each time it fails in its tries it will send an e-mail.to stop this the "Suppress multiple alert" box is checked but what it does is that it stops all the alerts of that specific rule until the first one is confirmed.Personally i myself (and other experts too) suggest to leave the box unchecked coz its better to get tons of mails for a specific error rather than not getting any e-mail and thereby wasting time in tracking/solving the issue resulting in revenue loss to client.
    As per above comments is it possible to write an ABAP code so that we can stop multiple alerts to be sending to inbox. I am sure if we can delete message from some table then we can stop sending multiple messages to alert inbox and to the subsequent mail id also. I am not sure how alert being generated. I know where they get logged in this table sxmsalertlogger. If someone know how it works in background please let me know the table names.
    Regards
    Ria

    Hi Gaurav,
    You can personalize the way in which you receive alerts.
    Simply choose Personalization to make individual settings for your alert inbox. You can determine a substitute who will then receive the alerts. In addition, you can choose whether alerts are sent to you time-independently or time-dependently. The default setting is that alerts are sent time-independently to your alert inbox and via e-mail when they occur. You can additionally select the communication methods FAX and SMS for time-independent alert notification.
    If you want to receive alerts only on certain days for a certain time, simply select the option for time-dependent sending of alerts and choose Create to create a new table entry. You can then choose the corresponding factory calendar, the time interval, and communication channel. Alerts that arise during this time frame will be sent in any case to your alert inbox. If you have also selected other communication channels, the alerts are additionally sent to you using these other channels.
    This above text is from SAP help, do you think by changing anything in personnalisation i can stop multiple alerts. I have some issue with Personalisation link so was wondering would be worth to get tht personalisation issue resolved.
