ISU migration, field CITY_CODE

Hi all,
we are currently facing the following problem and your feedback is highly appreciated.
We have maintained the regional structure of Postal Codes/Cities/Streets in our system. Can we use in PARTNER object the field BUT020-CITY_CODE via KSM MigObject 1: ADRCITY and the system automatically finds the City name?
I've tried but I get the error that I should transfer the city name in field CITY1.
Thanks in advance and regards,
Bou.Lis

As correctly mentioned, field CITY1 should not be generated at all. KSM works in this case.
For STREET_CODE field, however does not seem to work respectively ......
Thank you both,
Bou.Lis

  • ISU migration, field STREET_CODE

    Hi all,
we are still facing the following problem.
We have maintained the regional structure of Postal Codes/Cities/Streets in our system. Can we use in CONNECTION OBJECT or PARTNER object the field STREET_CODE nad the system automatically finds the STREET NAME?
Reffering back to the thread with ID 1524109, STREET_CODE field has been populated, from the KSM respective object (ADRSTREET). Only STREET_CODE is transferred. However, the problem still persists. For example when migrating PARTNER with address, an error message (msg no. = R1304) results "Required field Street has no entry".
Might this still be an incorrect migration structure definition, or could this be a cic customizing mistake?
    Your feedback is highly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance,
    Bou.Lis

    Bou.Lis,
Please see my answer in ISU-Migration field STREETCODE in PARTNER.

    Hi A,
Business content it's still using 3.x data flow. That's why you see a 3.x infosource.
You won't have transformations for this. The update rules icon is like a transformation but with a small white square on the left.
So the dataflow you should have is:
    Cube
      Update Rules (0IC_C03 2LIS_03_BF)
3.x InfoSource (Material movements (as of 2.0B))
          Transfer Rules
            Datasource
You'll see a small square next to all the objects, except for the cube. This means 3.x object.
    Hope this helps.

  • SAP Master data migration tools

    Hi,
I would like to know if any SAP standard tools which are available for all master data migration,Kindly share the same which is required for us now.
We have to migrate the data from legacy systems to SAP and we have to use only SAP Standard master data migration tools.
    Kindly share the same.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raveendra

    Raveendra,
SAP migrates data from legacy system using standard tools like LSMW, BDC, BAPI. Under LSMW you will have Batch input, Batch recording, BAPI and IDOCs options. Depending upon requirement you can choose any one of them. BAPI is advisable instead of BDC method.
Also for utilities industry SAP has provided ISU Migration tool (EMIGALL).

  • Reconcilation and Validations of ISU

    Hi all,
The query i want to put up is regarding the reconcilation and validations of the migrated data during an IS-U cutover. The problem i am facing is that after consultation with the Business users of Finance department the reconcilation and validation strategy we have devised yet is based on the every months reconcilation reports such as Taxation, recovery and etc.  I am not sure as to base my reconcilation and validation strategy just on the every month report. Will this suffice?
Please do give me some pointers on other approches to reconcilation and validations.
    Cheers.
    F.Hashmi

As i stated earlier , that initial upload account is the backbone of cutover migration .
In the end when all the data is being uploaded in the system , the balance of upload account should be zero '0' when you run the B/S .
What you can also do is you can create one new migration account ( initial upload account throuhg Emigall ) and where in you can match your control totals in the B/s . Generally there is 1 initial upload account that is created but you can create as per your requirement . so create a new initial upload account just for ISU migration and have the control totals in place .
On the other hand , the process remains in place of closing the recon key FPG4 , transferring the same to FI - FPG1 and transferring the same to COPA - FPG3 .
I would also advise you to create a report base of TEMKSV to (DFKKOP , ZP , FKK_SEC etc. ) so that at an instance you can put the legacy key as input and get the final status in you SAP database .
Hope it helps , revert if still having queries .

  • Replication of Interaction Record from CRM to ISU

    Hi All,
We have a requirement to replicate the interaction record from CRM to ISU. Requirement is such that we have to keep the BP Contact number same as the object Id of the Interaction Record in CRM. Currently we are using CRM 5.2.
    Any suggestion.
    Regards,
    Manish

I mentioned EMIGALL because that's the ISU migration workbench... and if there is a need to create BP contacts with external number range, that's definitely when transferring data from the legacy system into a brand new SAP system. So: as I don't have an ISU system available right now, may you please kindly check if migration object BCONTACT allows external numbering? If yes: you get your function module. If no: I guess that's because this is not supported by SAP.
More information about EMIGALL can be found here:

  • Return code 8 on OPEN DATASET

    Hi All,
i try to migrate a file with ISU-Migration workbench.
in the Display option I can see the file. All looks fine.
When I press IMPORT I got the message "migration executed" but actually it did not read anysthing. So I debugged and came to the OPEN DATASET.
    There I get a sy-subrc of 8.
Do not remember what this means...probably the directory is protected or something...
    Who knows?
    Thanks in advance
    Thomas

    hi Thomas,
hi thomas u can  do authority check as stated below..
if sy-subrc is 8 it means too many parameters (fields, values). Maximum allowed is 10. I have also added the other sy-subrc condition so that u can benifit...
         AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT object
        ID name1  FIELD f1
        ID name2  FIELD f2
        ID name10 FIELD f10.
    object
Field which contains the name of the object for which the authorization is to be checked.
    name1 ...
Fields which contain the names of the
    name10
authorization fields defined in the object.
    f1 ...
Fields which contain the values for which the
    f10
    authorization is to be checked.
AUTHORITY-CHECK checks for one object whether the user has an authorization that contains all values of f (see SAP authorization concept).
You must specify all authorizations for an object and a also a value for each ID (or DUMMY).
The system checks the values for the IDs by AND-ing them together, i.e. all values must be part of an authorization assigned to the user.
If a user has several authorizations for an object, the values are OR-ed together. This means that if the CHECK finds all the specified values in one authorization, the user can proceed. Only if none of the authorizations for a user contains all the required values is the user rejected.
If the return code value in SY-SUBRC is 0, the user has the required authorization and may continue.
The return code value changes according to the different error scenarios. The return code values have the following meaning:
    4
User has no authorization in the SAP System for such an action. If necessary, change the user master record.
    8
Too many parameters (fields, values). Maximum allowed is 10.
    12
Specified object not maintained in the user master record.
    16
No profile entered in the user master record.
    24
The field names of the check call do not match those of an authorization. Either the authorization or the call is incorrect.
    28
Incorrect structure for user master record.
    32
Incorrect structure for user master record.
    36
Incorrect structure for user master record.
hope i had answered u.. rewward if u find it useful.

    Hi,
you need to use EEWB to add those fields to the screen and enable get and set methods for the fields in the context node class.
You need to refer to the IC Web CookBook for more details.

  • Access migration - handling really silly field and table names

    Hi All,
I'm working through migrating an ** interesting ** Access database that has been hacked together over the years by a number of ... talented amateurs.
I've noticed a difference in the way the migration wizard translates some of the really silly names it's got, between creating the table script and creating view scripts.
It seems to manage the silliness better when creating the tables, but it doesn't quite catch up when creating the views.
For example the main table in this application is called (believe it or not):
"T - This Appn Detail - MAIN TABLE"
Note that it's 33 characters long as well as including spaces and hyphens.
The table creation script creates a table called T___This Appn_Detail___MAIN_TA (which works)
But the translation of a query off this table to a view is looking for a table named T___This Appn_Detail___MAIN_TABL
Which is (a) different and (b) too long
It does a similar thing with our exciting field names. We have a field in the Access database called "Net Rate (twin share)"
The table script calls this "Net Rate _twin share_" but the view script sticks with "Net Rate (twin share)" - which causes "FROM keyword not found where expected"
Does anyone know if there's a way to nudge the view creation process in the right direction?
I guess the most sensible thing is to go into Access and correct the field names, but I don't want to spend a great deal of time updating the Access database so all the references to the fields get fixed, when I'm about to ditch it anyway.
    Thanks,
    Greg H

    Hi Greg,
The Access SQL translator should be referencing the SQL Developer Migration Workbench repository to find the correct migrated name of your tables, columns. Thereby producing PL/SQL which references the correct table name. :(
I have logged this as a bug to be fixed in our next release.
6647344: ACCESS VIEW TRANSLATION REFERENCES OLD OR INCORRECT TABLE NAMES
I can try and replicate your issues as described, but would it be possible for you to send in your access databases so we can test it here?
You may delete the data if you wish, its the schema of the database I'm interested in.
Unfortunately this is not an offer to complete the migration :)
But it would better help us understand the exact issues you are experiencing and help us better our product.
    Thanks
    Dermot.

Depending on the version of the database you have, you could use transportable tablespaces.

  • Replication of Custom Fields from CRM to ISU and Vice versa

    Hi Experts,
We are working on adding Z fields on BP level. For this how does the replication of the values takes place from CRM to ISU or vice versa. What are the middleware enhancement we need to do in CRM side or in the ISU side. We would add the fields on web UI crm side by AET but at ISU side how we need to do that and how would the field values replicate in both the system.
A approach for adding BP custom fields in CRM and its interaction with ISU and vice versa would be appriciated.
    Thanks,
    Mayur

Excuse, you may enter more in detail?
I have created a custom field on BP using the AET would now like to replicate this custom field in BP also in ISU.
I can do all this using the EEWB, but I would avoid it, since, in ISU we already have custom fields on BP, I just can not link them with CRM.

  • Billing Legacy master & transactional data conversion/migration in SAP ISU

    Hi Experts,
Please let me know, in ISU implementation project, what is Billing related Legacy master & transactional data conversion/migration is done in SAP ISU system.
    Thanks in advance

    Pankaj,
There is no straight forward transaction to download the Configuration data and export it to a file.
However, you can use the BC set functionality to extract the IMG node with its contents.
Check the following  SAP help portal link for more info on BC sets
Business Configuration Sets (BC-CUS) - SAP Library
The archive data that you are talking about; Is it master data or transaction data?
Also, what this data is related to-Financial Documents, Billing related info?
There is one standard transaction SARA through which based on the migration object you can archive the data and export it into a file in a particular location..
    Hope it helps..
    Thanks,

  • User Defined Field migration with long predelined list in DTW

    Hi Expert,
The project is using 2007A PL30. Due to mapping to customer existing legacy system, there are UDF with a set of predefined value so that user can select from drop down list. The list is very long and description is more than 30 characters which we cannot make use of link table.
Any idea whether DTW can migrate this type of UDF rather than manually keying into UDF?
    Regards
    Tlhomas

    Hi Thomas
Let's clarify your question first.Do you try to import the content of the drop down list?
Or you want to import the content of the UDF while importing other objects(ex:BP,Invoices)?
As DTW can only import the content of UDF into the system. It is not possible
to create/modify UDF themselves via DTW.
However,It is possible to create UDF via DIAPI,maybe you can try to import UDF
into system by coding a little addon.
Here is a sample code about how to create UDF via SDK.
    Dim oUserFieldsMD As SAPbobsCOM.UserFieldsMD
    oUserFieldsMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.
    BoObjectTypes.oUserFields)
    oUserFieldsMD.TableName = "OCRD"
    oUserFieldsMD.Name = "BE_UserField1"
    oUserFieldsMD.Description = "A user field"
    oUserFieldsMD.Type = SAPbobsCOM.BoFieldTypes.db_Date
    oUserFieldsMD.SubType = SAPbobsCOM.BoFldSubTypes.st_Time
    oUserFieldsMD.Add()
    End Sub
