ISU: PWB PDF letter is not clubbing in one PDF.

Hi Expert,
We have requirement like 'everyday batch job(FPCOPARA) will run for correspondence PDF letter and will produce consolidated PDF file per correspondence letter type.
For e.g: If there are 10 different Occpuant letters then after executing the batch job, one PDF will be create which will contain 10 pages.
Our functionality is working as expected but it is creating different PDFs under same Spool no. When we checked in SP01, it looks 1 PDF having multiple pages but system is creating one spool with 10 different (Documents) PDF files by considering above example.
For e.g: It is showing in SP01, spool no xxxx. having 10 pages but after opening the PDF it shows 1 of 10 documents and each documents show only one page. PDF should say Page 1 of 10.
I thought it is related to Printer so I had discussion with our Basis team but it seems the issue is related to FPCOPARA or PWB form (EFRM) setting. Somewhere we have say to batch job that, consider these all documents as single PDF. But still there is no success yet.
I can send detail analysis if required.
Quick help is appreciable.

I think this is Adobe PDF forms you use to create the spool with the PDF parts.
There is a solution if you print via SAPPDFPRNT(see SAP note #1444342). You must use the latest SAPPDFPRNT and the latest SAPGUI 7.20 patch(patch level 5). After installing the patches you must define a printer with port FILE on your desktop. If you print the spool request on that printer via frontend printing SAPPDFPRINT sticks the bunch of PDF together to a single PDF and stores it at a location of choice.

I was always able to download PDF files into Adobe Reader from the internet. I can't download them anymore...My MacBook keeps trying to load and reload the page, but never does it. I get an error message saying
"The page cannot be found"
infact when i hover the mouse over the link i am able to see the correct path and the correct correct values as follows
schema.procedure?V=04&C=001
but when i click on it, i get the error as above.
i am not sure whether it is any permissions issue in linux. or is the procedure not getting executed properly at all.
but iam able to read those pdfs and insert them into an oracle table.
but just not able to download them back again.
but exactly the same code and same tables etc work in windows.

How to print PDF few pages duplex but not all from one PDF Doc?

We have a desktop application that we use and it gives instructions to printer which document to duplex and which to not. For easy understanding, in a PDF if there are 10 pages, i want to take first two pages whenever they are printed they go on duplex rest of 8 pages should print without duplex. I have a PDF of these 10 pages document and want to send via email to one, so that if he has duplex printer, he just send that PDF doc to printer and it automatically send first two pages duplexed then rest of 8 pages per paper. So finally he get 9 printed hard copies. My question is, is there any capability in PDF document we can apply per page that when go on printer it instructs to printer to duplex me or not. Like we have PDF properties associated with doc. Can we setup such property for each page? I know this is not a good question, but our business requies to send PDF to customers and we do save this to do ourself, How customer know which page to duplex then?
If there is any automated solution we can give to customers? The PDF each page take decision by its own when going on printer it says i have to go on back of the paper and the other says i won't have to be duplexed?

MacBook isn't opening PDF files. Not even the ones I created. Help?

I can't open pdf files. I just get black lines and some clipart. They will open on my PC at work, but not on my mac. I can't even open the ones that i created ON my mac! When I try to open my own files, it says "Convert File From" - any suggestions?

PDF.js will not load pdfs (other browswers do fine) just upgraded to 29.0

No error message, no load. v29.0 upgraded this morning. OSX 10.6.8.

How do I add more than one pdf at a time to profile manager books? When I browse to my pdf folder I can only select one pdf at a time. I have 500+ pdf files I need to add. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

no, there is no way to do that, sorry. you need to control-click on every email address one at a time and select "add to address book". if an email is in the address book already that option will not be there.

PDF file will not let me add an interactive object

Quick run down of my problem...
The company I work at just got a new logo, and has to update a LOT of pdf's logo from the old one, to the new one... A way I found how to do this with minimal time is to create a button in acrobat pro, place it over the old logo, and then switch the button to "show icon" only and insert the new logo as an icon. This worked great for about 5 forms... until now.
I just hit a document that for whatever reason, the "interactive objects" actions are all grayed out, including the "add a button" option, which is what I need to use. I have no idea why this particular form is different from the others, but I can't for the life of me figure out why the options are grayed out on this form. The only difference I can visibly see on this document is that there is a "print form" button at the bottom... but would that button not allow me to add anything else? Also, if that IS the case, I can't figure out how to delete that "print form" button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I need to switch these logos out asap. Thanks team.

Ah, yes. it has "make changes to the document" checked as "not allowed".
Is there any way to get around this? I imagine that whoever made this document up years ago clicked to make it non-editable, without any thought to the fact that it may need to be edited down the line (I can safely say that whoever created the original file most likely does not work here any longer so it will be near impossible to get a hold of it).
Is there a way I can save the file in a different format that would allow me to edit that file? Or something else I could do? It's a pretty intricate form and I really don't want to have to rewrite the entire thing just to change the logo at the top if theres another way around it.

In outlook 2013 emails,pdf attachments are not showing in pdf formats

We are using outlook 2013 as pop account for our official email communication.One of the laptop is having windows 7 professional operating systems and the email we are using as outlook 2013 in that laptop.
The issue is that when we try to attach the pdf documents in outlook 2013,it is attaching but it is not showing in pdf format and it is showing as notepad or word file.
when we try to open the notepad ,word file,it is opening in pdf format and also the client is receiving in pdf format.
If we attach the pdf document in email,it should show in pdf format.
Some settings are changed and i need your support to fix the issue.

Are the PDF files showing with the PDF icon or other icons in your local disk?
Please start Outlook in sate mode and test again. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
outlook /safe and press Enter.
In addition, you may also try to clean out the Temporary Outlook Files folder to check the result. See:

Acrobat Standard (9.4.6) - Issue: "Acrobat could not create a new PDF form"

I have Adobe Acrobat Standard (version 9.4.6). I am trying to create a form but when I start the form wizard, locate the document to convert and click next, I get an error message "Acrobat could not create a new PDF form." What's wrong? (I've used this feature before in Adobe Pro so I am familiar with the process but I am using Standard now). It's not letting me upload my document (an MS Word 2003 document). Please, someone, anyone, help! I think I got a bad batch of software here. Any suggestions? If it's hopeless, who do I call for a replacement if that's the case? Is this software under warranty?

Thank you for your email. The file I am trying to convert to PDF and create a form with is a MS Office Word 2003 file. It isn't any specific file; the issue happens every time. I type my text in the Word doc and then proceed to open Adobe Acrobat Standard and use the wizard to create a form from an existing file. I tried to repairing the software but it does not help. Any other suggestions? Is this version of software defective? I really need this feature. I look forward to your reply. Thanks.

Why are white lines appearing in images in PDF files but not the original InDesign files?

Hi folks!
Let me just start out by saying that I'm not a graphic designer and have basically no experience with graphic design programs, aside from the little futzing around I've tried to do with InDesign. My company (which publishes a monthly magazine) has decided that it would be a great idea to get the files to our magazine from the graphic design firm that actually handles the production end of things so that we may offer back articles, etc., and modify them as needed. Somehow I've gotten assigned the task of handling this. However, I've encountered some problems along the way. The graphic design firm uses Quark, we own InDesign (CS3) and use Markzware to convert the files. Most things seem to work okay in this arrangement but I'm having problems with the images in the file when I create PDFs. Although the images look fine in the InDesign files (and are of print quality), when I create PDFs of some files, thin white lines appear over the images in the PDF document. I asked our graphic designer about this but she has no idea, and she isn't very familiar with InDesign.
So, my question is, where are these lines coming from and how do I stop them from appearing? As a reminder, I'm not a graphic designer and am fdairly ignorant in design software terminology. If you're kind enough to try to help me with this problem, I'm going to require an explanation in plain English. Basically explain it to me like you would to a 10 year old.
If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I think Bob was typing too fast and meant to ask if you were distilling, not to tell you distill.
Distilled PDF (you get distilled by printing to PDF rather than exporting) always flattens transparency, which is what makes those white "stitching" lines.
You can make the stitching disappear on screen by turning off smoothing in the Acrobat prefs, and it shouldn't print on a press, but it sounds like you may be doing the output on a digital machine and it's likely to show on the lower resolution output.

Conversion of Microsoft Word 2010 to PDF-Links not working in the PDF

I have a Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit Operating System and Microsoft Word 2010. There is a particular word document(Word 2010) that I need to convert to PDF.I did a "save as" and stored it as a PDF. But the issue in the PDF is that the links in the "Table of Contents" do NOT work. I am using Adobe Reader 10.1.2.Please let me know how could I do the conversion and how can the links work correctly

Adobe Reader 10.1.2 cannot convert DOC files to PDFs. You will need Adobe Acrobat to do this.
Save As > Adobe PDF feature is using Microsoft's PDF converter. You may need to follow up with them regarding the same.

Older PDF documents are not opening in .msg (outlook) format

I’m using adobe reader 11 and outlook 2010. I converted all emails that need to be transferred to PDF and then ‘delete’ the original emails from Outlook. It converts to pdf (so one pdf file can have 230 emails in them). we then open the pdf which contains all emails. Some emails have attachments. I can open the attachments which are word, excel, pdf BUT NOT emails (.msg). I just need to be able to open the ‘.msg’ from pdf attachments. It used to allow me to open before. Its showing “Can’t read” in outlook when I click the .msg attachment from PDF. Then I uninstalled the PDF reader 11 and installed 9.5 version. Now it’s showing “you don’t have appropriate permission to perform this operation” in outlook.
Please advise me to recover these files.

I assume you have two pdf files and they have different contents.
Let’s say 1.pdf and 2.pdf.
Please try to check it as following:
1.
Upload 1.pdf to SharePoint site
2.
Delete 1.pdf in local
3.
Change the name of 2.pdf to 1.pdf
4.
Upload 1.pdf to SharePoint site
5.
And then could you get the two version of this document with different contents?

Reader 11.0.10: the links pointing to other pdf-Documents do not function anymore.

I have updated Reader 11.0.09 to 11.0.10. But now the linked pdf-documents in the main-pdf-document do not open. Nothing happens until I disable the "Sandbox-protection" (potected mode enabled by start). Under 11.0.09 this was not neccessary! Is there a bug in 11.0.10?

PDFs have evolved from static pages to complex documents with features such as interactive forms, multimedia content, scripting, and other capabilities. These features leave PDFs vulnerable to malicious scripts or actions that can damage your computer or steal data. Enhanced security lets you protect your computer against these threats by blocking or selectively permitting actions for trusted locations and files.
When enhanced security is enabled and a PDF tries to complete a restricted action from an untrusted location or file, a security warning appears. The type of warning depends on the action and your version of Acrobat or Reader.
If yes then you need to add it to the trusted list. To bypass the enhanced security restriuctions, please refer: Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Enhanced security

PDF links do not open properly

I run safari 1.3.2 on OS 10.3.9. Initially a pdf link in safari would open properly by using the adobe plugin or whatever. Now a pdf link opens up using the Quicktime plugin. How can I manage plugins and get pdfs to open properly in safari?

fuzzy...go to the menu bar and find a parameter that
says "open with" You will see a drop down menu with
all the available options. Select PDF and then click
on open with this for all flike files (or something
similar).
My apologies for being vague - if I was at my Apple,
I would walk myself through it first.

Barry, that sounds like your talking about choosing a opening application in the finder, thats not my problem, I want safari to use the correct plugin for pdf file links, how do i do that?
