It possible to use bpm uwl or mdm uwl iview instead of standatd uwl?

it possible to use bpm uwl or mdm uwl iview instead of standatd uwl?

Hi thanks for reply.
issue not solve yet...
i just joined organization, it has standard UWL. And in last oragnization i seen advance UWL which showing details of item, add note, attachment while approve n reject.
I am developer. n some where i seen advance UWL and BPM n MDM iview showing advance falicity of approve n reject.
Also seen in portal content about MDM UWL iView, BPM UWL iView.....
might be that was customized standard UWL iView....
n i think there are some xml file in mdm n bpm so we can show item in UWL list or to do customize UWL with .xml.
so my thing is there are any cotmization in MDM BPM .xml or standard so we can use that iview or xml instead of UWL standard UWL or .xml

    Hi
It is possible to use BPM UWL iview instead of standard UWL iview?
    if yes then how?
    thanks in advance

    Hi Radhesh,
If you need to get some BPM skills then try the BPM space itself or better yet the Process Orchestration space has the most recent materials by checking out the materials in  http://scn.sap.com/community/process-orchestration
Apart from that the BPM forum can help you, but it's always best to post one question at a time.
Perhaps you could be clearer about what you are looking for?
Is it an approach to the process?
Is it how to call the backend system?
Is it how to work with the user interfaces?
Think about it carefully and then start a new discussion for each issue.

  • HT3728 Is it possible to use Time Capsule as external hard drive instead of back-up?

    I wonder if it's possible.

Possible, but if you place the only copy of the data that you have on the Time Capsule, you then have to figure out how to back up that data to another drive.
Things may be simpler...with faster performance....if you add a USB or FireWire to your Mac, and then use the Time Machine to back up both the Mac and the hard drive to the Time Capsule.

  • Multi-mapping with message bundling but without using BPM

    Hi all,
I have a requirement to bunch specific no. of records (say 50) from source message and create separate target messages for those bunches. For example, if the source message has 120 records, then there should be three separate target messages created containing 50, 50 and 20 records each.
I am wondering whether this multi-mapping is possible without using BPM, as the typical no. of records in the source message are in the range of 600 to 800, and rarely (twice or thrice a month) they shoot up to 2000. So my concern is whether BPM would affect the performance. We are using PI at SP12.
    Regards,
    - Shankar.

Sorry for late reply.. Well the sender is a file system, which sends a single XML file containing multiple records. (I mean I have a sender file adapter that polls periodically from a specific path and picks up the file when it is available)
The no. of records in the source file may be different in each run. The requirement on the receiver system is that it can handle a file which has maximum of 'n' records only (say 50 in my example)
Now the sender file can contain any no. of records. It may contain 10 on some day, or 200 the next day, or 120 on the third day. But on the receiver side, I want the files to be created such that each will contain AT MAX 50 records.
So, if source file has <=50 records, then there will be only 1 target file having the same no. of records.
If source file has between 51 to 100 records, then there will be two target files. One will have 50 records, and the second will have remaining records.
    And so on..
    Regards,
    - Shankar.

  • File-To-RFC without using BPM

    hey guys
is a File-To-RFC scenario possible without using BPM? i have gone through the blog by Arpit Seth ( /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit ) but it uses BPM.
i am new to XI and not very comfortable with BPM.
please let me know if BPM is the only way out or are there some other methods too.
Also under what circumstances one should use BPM?
    thanx in advance.
    aamir suhail

    Hi,
it's a standard non BPM scenario
(you can find many weblogs like this)
the only different thing is the RFC signature import
    (inside repository)
and the use of different channels (file and RFC)
you can find many examples in my XI FAQ
    (document section)

  • Is it possible to use jdbcappender with jboss's logger?

    Hi
Is it possible to use JDBCAppender with org.jboss.logging.Logger instead of org.apache.log4j.Logger? secondly can i also use jboss.logging.logger to send my logs to the database (not manually, using configuration file as with apache.log4j) ?
    TIA.

Back in my days, when you were new to Java, you wrote all sorts of stupid console programs and crapplets to get the hang of it.
Anyway, without seeing JBoss' logging framework, I'm gonna say "no, you can't" unless they've actually bothered to make it compatible with commons-logging (or was that log4j). However, you probably could write your own JDBCAppender for their framework or at least a small adapter that would forward the logging requests to log4j.

  • How is validation done using BPM and MDM

    Hi everybody.
I have a business usecase. It is with BPM-MDM Integration. I need your comments on this.
Data is transferred/imported from ERP to MDM. This process is automized and data is imported through Import Server.
whenever the import happens, validation has to be happened like null check, format etc. Based on that the record has to be imported or it can ignore it.
Should these validation needs to be done at MDM end or at BPM?
If MDM End, should I need to use MDM Workflow as well or Is it be possible without using MDM workflow.
How can I check the non-imported data(ie. Records which failed during validation)
can I get this information from MDM level by any means, saying can we get the records which failed during validation
Is there anything which we can do from MDM side or should we do this check from BPM side?
Also Is it recommended to go with MDM Workflow and BPM as well in this usecase. (like BPM-MDMWorklfow-MDM).
    Any suggestions.
    Regards
    Bala

    Hi Bala,
As per your requirement, you can go ahead with MDM workflow. This MDM workflow will trigger on Record Import.
See, I assume that  you understand the different steps of MDM workflow, like Assign, Validate, Branch, Start, Stop etc.
As your workfow will trigger on Record Import with Start step (Checkout state) and record will check-in only if it validates that validation else will get rollback.
can I get this information from MDM level by any means, saying can we get the records which failed during validation
Before Roll back you can syndicate that records also for your reference.
Start(Checkout)>Branch step(checks validation like null case and other MDM fields population etc)>If fails( Send these records to)>syndicate step>Stop1 (Rollback) else if Pass -->Stop2(checkIn)
In this way only records which are valid records gets checkin ( gets created into MDM) and failed validation records would be syndicated out of MDM for your reference before Stop step (Roll back) means not get created into MDM.
I dont have MS-Visio to test this scenario but i hope it should work..

  • JMS to Synchronous Web Service Scenario (Need Advice to use BPM or Not)

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where we fetch data from JMS Sender and Send it to MDM Webservices.
We want to have the files processed in such a way that until we get a response from webservice back that it was sucessful ,then only we need to process the next file.
We would need advice as can we use BPM for this.
We are thinking of having BPM like this:
    RecieveStep(Asyn)-SynchronousSend Step(with wait)-Stop
The problem with this is when processing huge files the processing time of the Queue is taking very long and sometimes we are getting SYSFAIL.
Please would anyone advice as how can we approach this scenario either using BPM or without.
Also Can we use multiple queues or multpile instances concept for this scenario.
    Please Advice.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    J

    Hi Prateek,
Thank you very much for your quick reply.
The response from Webservice does not need to be sent anywhere.
We just want that after recieving the response back from webservice(SOAP) then only we need to process the next file.
Can we control something from Sender JMS adapter side as well as it is picking up all the files and all files wait at BPE until each one gets processed.
Is this possible without BPM or with BPM.
Please advice as what wud be possible steps inorder to achive it through BPM or Without BPM.
    Thanks and Regards,
    J

  • Send multiple records to rfc without using BPM

    Dear Experts,
Could you please help on the following scenario.
I need to send multiple customer master data records from a file  to rfc without using BPM.
The following is the mapping i am using
    source                                                 Target( RFC)
    ======                                          =============
    Tree             occurance   type           Tree occurance
    cust_mt        1..1
       customer     0..unbound -
    >          ztest_cust( rfc )  1..1
          cname     1..1             -
    >            cname   0..1
          cno          1..1            -
    >            cno       0..1
           bank           -
    >            bank    0..1
                                                                    item :  0..unbound
             code      -
    >                                   code   0..1
             name     -
    >                                    name  0..1
             location   -
    >                                      location 0..1
    1. Multiple banks possible for one customer
    2. Multiple customers possible in datafile from mdm
Problem 1:Only one customer record from file is being sent to RFC thouth many records are in the file, the second, third .. and so on records not being sent to rfc.
    Problem 2:
if add o.. unbound for the rfc occurance, <messages>,<message1> tags are getting added in message mapping, and no single customer record sent to rfc..
Your help is rewarded with good points.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks.
    sravya.

    Hi VJ,
Thank you for the immediate reply.
one more thing, when i tried to change the occurences of   ztest_cust( rfc) to 0..unbound,
I am not seeing the occurances updated in the imported rfc structure.
The following is the wsdl for rfc, could you please help me to add occurances 0..unbound.
    Thanks a lot.
    sraya.

  • BPM workflows Vs MDM internal workflows.

need clarity on BPM workflows Vs MDM internal workflows.
    My understanding:
BPM are kind of workflows created on portal.
and MDM workflows are internal within MDM system.
    Questions:
    1. Are BPM workflow and MDM Workflows are connected in anyway.
      a. If YES,How? Pls give me an example.
      b. If NO, when exactly are MDM workflows used and when are BPM workflows used.
    2. How are validations done in BPM
    3. What is the role of web services in BPM, when exactly we are using
       web services.
.......... Pls explain with example if possible.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Veena.
As a definition SAP BPM is a component helps you to model, execute, and monitor your business processes based on a common process model. BPM is used to create composite applications and to streamline a process of execution. It can model the application with different areas using webservices etc.
SAP BPM provides modeling and implementation for a UI centric business process u2013 you can develop the business process based on BPM modeling tools.
    1.
    a. Are BPM workflow and MDM Workflows are connected in anyway.
As far as I know, it is Not.
    b. If NO, when exactly are MDM workflows used and when are BPM workflows used
    - MDM Workflow is extensively used in case of MDM Components for Cleansing, de-duplication, validation, approval etc. A MDM Workflow is tightly integrated with the MDM Clients to perform the operations.
    - BPM workflow is of UI centric business process to integrate various functional usecases.
    2.
Validations are created in BPM using the validation rules framework or BRM(Business Rules Mangement) based on the functionality. User can create their own validations from this layer.
    3. As a definition, Web services are typically application programming interfaces (API) or web APIs that can be accessed over a network. So if Im designing an application which creates a purchase order in the back end, an webservice should be exposed where I pass the required inputs and get the desired output. The validations are exposed as webservices which can be used in BPM.

  • Processing large volume of idocs using BPM Processing

    Hi,
I have a scenario in which SAP R/3 sends large volume say 30,000 DEBMAS Idocs to XI. XI then sends data to 3 legacy systems using jdbc adapter.
I created a BPM Process which waits for 4 hrs to collect all the idocs. This is what my BPM does:
    1. Wait for 4 hrs Collect the idocs
    2. For every idoc do a IDOC->JDBC Message transformation.
    3. Append to a Big List
    4. Loop at the Big list from step 4 and in the loop for
    5. Start counter from 0 and increment. Append to a Small List.
    6. if counter reaches 100 then send a Batch JDBC Message in send step.
    7. Reset counter after every send.
    8. Process remaining list i.e if there was an odd count of say 5300 idoc then the remaining 53 idocs will be sent in anther block.
After sending 5000 idocs to above BPM following problems are there:
    1. I cannot read the workflow log as system does not respond.
    2. In the For Each loop which loops through the big list of say 5000 idocs only first pass of 100 was processed after that the workflow item is not moving ahead. It remains in the status as "STARTED" but I do not see further processing.
Please tell me why certain Work Items are stuck is it becuase I have reached upper limit and is this the right approach? The Main BPM Process is also hanging from last 2 days.
I have concerns about using BPM for processing such high volume of idocs in production. Please advice and thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
Please read SAPs Checklist for proper usage of BPMs: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/d92e428819da2ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm
One point i'm wondering about is why do you send the IDocs out of R/3 one by one and don't use packaging there? From a performance stand point this is much better than a bpm.
The SAP Checklist states the following:
    <i>"No Replacement for Mass Interfaces
Check whether it would not be better to execute particular processing steps, for example, collecting messages, on the sender or receiver system.
If you only want to collect the messages from one business system to forward them together to a second business system, you should do so by using a mass interface and not an integration process.
If you want to split a message up into lots of individual messages, also use a mass interface instead of an integration process. A mass interface requires only a fraction of the back-end system and Integration-Server resources that an integration process would require to carry out the same task. "</i>
Also you might want to have a look at the IDoc packaging capabilities within XI (available since SP14 i believe): http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7a/00143f011f4b2ee10000000a114084/content.htm
And here is Sravyas good blog about this topic: /people/sravya.talanki2/blog/2005/12/09/xiidoc-message-packages
If for whatever reason you can't or don't want to use the IDoc packets from R/3 or XI there are other points on which you can focus for optimizing your process:
In the section "Using the Integration Server Efficiently" there is an overview on which steps are costly and which steps are not so costly in their resource consumption. Mappings are one of the steps that tend to consume a lot of resources and unless it is a multi mapping that can not be executed outside a BPM there is always the option to do the mapping in the interface determination either before or after the BPM. So i would sugges if your step 2 is not a multi mapping you should try to execute it before entering the BPM and just handle the JDBC Messages in the BPM.
Wait steps are also costly steps, so reducing the time in your wait step could potentially lead to better performance. Or if possible you could omitt the wait step and just create a process that waits for 100 messages and then processes them.
    Regards
    Christine

  • Is it possible to use SOA Suite 11g with JDeveloper's integrated WebLogic?

Is it possible to use SOA Suite 11g with JDeveloper's integrated WebLogic? Or do you have to install an external WebLogic?
    Thanks for help.
    Edited by: user7722720 on 07-Dec-2011 02:04

    Hi
By default, NO it is NOT possible to deploy any SOA Applications on Integrated Weblogic Server that comes with JDeveloper. This integrated weblogic server is very light weight basic weblogic server with single domain (only 1 AdminServer) to deploy a standard J2EE, ADF Applications like EJBs, WebApps, WebServices, ADF Apps etc. BUT SOA (having BPEL, BPMs etc ) cannot be deployed.
There is an option to upgrade this integrated weblogic server and install SOA on top of this. Like download soa installer that matches with your JDeveloper version and install soa on top of this weblogic. BUT I strongly do not recommend this, because you will not be able to upgrade iin future to the latest versions.
Yes, its always better to install the standalone Weblogic Server that matches with your JDeveloper version. Then install SOA on top of this Weblogic Server. Then create RCU Schemas in any Oracle Database. Run config wizard and create a SOA Domain. Now integrate this in your JDeveloper to deploy any soa applications.
Make sure that JDeveloper, Weblogic Server, SOA Software, RCU all these versions should match and they should be same.
    Thanks

  • Multi-Mapping in IDOC without using BPM ?

    Hi ,
    Please check ..
Can below given blog can be used to achive Multi-mapping in IDOC without using BPM ?
    /people/jin.shin/blog/2006/02/07/multi-mapping-without-bpm--yes-it146s-possible
    Regards
    PS

Solved .. Thx every one .
    Approache Used :
    1. Created mapping  with Change signature on target Message type(idoc) with 1..N Occurence.
    2. Operation mapping with change Occurence on Target Operation(1..Unbounded) .
    3. Used same Operation mapping in Interface Determination with 0..unbounded(Multiplicity).

  • Dynamic text in PI Alerts without using BPM

    Hello everyone,
Is it possible to have dynamic text in alert mail subject or mail details without using BPM in PI?
If I want to configure generic single alert category for all interfaces in my project , and in the subject line of Alert mail, I need to have the Interface ID (unique identifier for that interface) or integration directory scenario name for which this alert has been raised, then is it possible to use some custom alert container for this purpose?  Or is there any other way to have these dynamic texts ?
We are using PI7.1 in project landscape.
    Thanks in advance,
    Minal

    Hi,
    >>I need to have the Interface ID (unique identifier for that interface) or integration directory scenario name for which this alert has been raised
those two are not available in the container:

  • PI 7.31 Dual Stack Using BPM/BRM and ccBPM

    Hello,
My client has decided to use SAP PI 7.31, because we have many ccBPM solutions, being used a long time, the idea is install the Dual Stack solution and keep using the ccBPM, at least for while.
But for the new integration solutions, we would like to use the AEX(Local AEX-Based) and connect to BPM and BRM, and maybe migrate the old solutions when possible.
Is it possible, use the both solutions( AEX/BPM/BRM and ccBPM) ? In this case, we will have all the benefits and great perfomance
when using the AEX/BPM/BRM(Local AEX-Based) solution, that we have in the single stack ?
    Best regards,
    Dylon.

    Hi, vishal jain.
Thank you! Checking your link, we will probably choose the third case:
If PI is installed as dual-stack, then PO, PI and BPM/BRM, will have to be installed with different SIDs.  PI on one SID and BPM/BRM on a different SID.
But the question remains... in this case is possible to use ccBPM and BPM/BRM, ok ?
And when using the BPM/BRPM, how is the performance and benefits ?
Are the same when using single stack solution ?
    Best regards!
