Dear Friends
I want to generate a Item Code with the following method :
catgory - 1 digit
costcenter - 3 digit
equipment - 4 digit
srno - 4 digit
for ex
bearing 14" xxx then could sould be 1-100-1001-0001 (110010010001)
rightnow i had given the following code but i am unable to get the last 4 digit based on (category+costcenter+equipment + max(srno) of the perticular category+costcenter+equipment

Assuming that last 4 digit are serial number and will get increase by one depend on three fields as you mentioned. Then try your code like this...
SELECT :catcode||:costcode||:equipcode||(LPAD(MAX(TO_NUMBER(SUBSTR(actual_field_name,9))+1),4,0))
INTO :form_field_name
FROM table_name
WHERE catcode=:catcode
AND costcode=:costcode
AND equipcode=:equipcode;Or if you don't want to generate code on basis of three field then remove the where clause and use only...

Refactor - Renaming Problem Auto Code Generation

After renaming the java source files (backing beans) to upper case letters (ex. from console.java to Console.java),
JSC is not able to instantiate this class anymore, because the managed-bean.xml is altered automatically.
The next problem is the jsp-file. JSC produces some useless code which points to the new (by JSC) created managed beans (old ones still exist)

I�m not able to delete this generated code, because after saving and reloading the jsp-file the inserted code is still there.
In the projects view my java source files are shown in small letters, even if the files are in upper case on the file system (explorer).
I�m using Studio Creator 2 Update 1 (Build 060915)
The project can only be deployed (exporting *.war in JSC) and executed when i change the file attributes to read-only after editing them with a standard text editor.
Any suggestions?

Item Code Auto Generation Based on User defined Tables

I need the Item code like
PRODUCT TYPE-ITEMGROUP-ITEMCODE-SUBITEM-BRAND-COLOR e.g .FG-01-01-00-001-00.
I created the following User define Tables and link to Item Master data
U_PRO             - FOR PRODUCT TYPE
U_GROUP        - FOR ITEM GROUP
U_ITEMCODE    - FOR ITEMCODE
U_SUBITEM       - FOR SUB ITEM
U_BRD              - FOR BRAND NAME

i need a formatted search in Item code to fetch the codes from the user defined table

How to generate item codes automatically

Hi,
My customer wants that the inventory item code be generated automatically based on its description. The code should have:
- 3 first characters of the description
- A sequential increased number, to make the code unique.
e.g. the item called "Petrol" should have the code "pet004".
To achieve this, I have created a database procedure. So the user that works in "Item Master" form, will fill out "description" field and the "Item" field should be automatically populated based on the return value of this procedure.
Is there any way how to achieve this through personalization?
Or, is there any standard way that Oracle offers for automatic generation of item codes?

I created the project extension via EEWB and completed the wizard setting with the package (dev. class) value as $temp as I wanted to test it locally.

Error during distribution for compiled code generation-Reply

Hi,
Looking at your error messages, it looks as though your build is failing during the code generation phase of an autocompilation. To determine why the code generator crashed, either look in the $FORTE_ROOT/log/forte_ex*.log files or don't use autocompilation and use fcompile.
There are many reasons why the code generator could crash. Some of the things I've come across are running out of memory and trying to find invalid classes.
If its the invalid class problem you'll find a message like:

Integrate the changes to the workspace, start the build again and this should have cured the problem.
However, its hard to know what the cause of your problem is without seeing the output in the log files.

script and am forcing compilation on 2 of my partitions.
This I have been doing from quite sometime successfully. Recently I
developed a new service and plugged it into my application for
deployment.

for compiled code. And I see only one of the .exe generated instead of

FPGA Code Generation fails with error codes 7 and -1

Hi all,
I have been having a weird issue with my LV FPGA compilation in the last couple of days, no matter what I try to compile LV fails to generate the FPGA code files and returns with errors 7 and -1 and complains that the file is not found. This happens no matter what I am trying to compile even a VI with just a while loop. I followed the discussion forum here without any luck, also followed the NI article here and that did not help either. The error codes always get generated at the start of the Generating Intermediate files step #7 (out of 7).
Attached to this post is a screenshot of the error I am getting (error -1 just says internal error and to contact NI support), bellow is basically the error I get for error code 7

I tried to do some digging to see what could possibly be happening, and I noticed that LV is looking for the vhdl files in the wrong folder (see the line highlighted in red above), when generating the vhdl files, LV will place them inside the "source_files" folder under the compilation project, but for some reason it is trying to find them under the root folder not inside the source_files folder!!!
Does anyone have any idea why LV would be looking for these files in the wrong subfolder?

Hi Aws_Khudhair,
What version of LabVIEW are you using? And what version of the FPGA module? From what I found, it seems as though this is primarily an issue with LabVIEW 8.6 and 8.6.1.

How I can know which row is parent item code or child item in matrix?

Hi,
In marketing document, when insert a item into contents page, if it is a BOM then all child item will be inserted into matrix automatically. My question is when i view the rows in matrix how i can know which row is normal master item and which row is a child item row? From the UI, i can only see the child item code looks readonly but how i can know it in my add-on code? I tried to get the edittext box object from item No. cell, but i can't find any difference.

Sorry, i found an issue when i try to retrieve the BOM Type column value. I am in adding mode, when i insert a BOM with components, the bom type will appears as "Component of a Sales BOM". But in the event, when I try to get the value from this cell (it is combobox), it gives another value which is not same with the one it appears in the matrix. Is anyone know how to solve my problem?

Inventory account not defined in item code

Iam trying to add A/p Credit memo from A/P invoice (Copy to method) and changing Unit price of one item (there 8 items) then it gives error of "Inventory account not defined item code" i check all accounts in Item group and Wh also.i also change item gr.of particular item and update it correct item gr.relogin but still problem occurs so pl suggest me solution.

If ur using purchasing acc.System method u have to define the accounts for purchase acc., purchase offset acc. then ly it will allow to add. Also check the new item group which u have changed now, check whether all acc.s r there r not in that group.

Multiple Item Codes in a MRP Generated PR

Dear Sir,
We have a requirement to have "Multiple Item Codes" in a single PR . The PR are generated thru MRP . The criterion to have multiple Items in a single PR is that a PR will contain multiple Items codes pertaining to the same Material-Group .
We have come to know that for this MD15 tcode can be used . But the problem with this is that there is manual effort required for clubbing of multiple Items in a single PR from the planned order .
We look forward for some automatic way for handling the above requirement .

UML & Code Generation (RAD)

Hey everyone,
I'm evaluating Java IDE's right now and I'm working with a group that uses a tool called Popkin to do their design in UML. I'm trying to find a Java IDE that can import (via XMI) those diagrams to do the code generation.
Rational and TogetherSoft have integrated environments that couple the code and design (As you code, the UML is updated and as you create UML, the code is updated, etc.)
I'm wondering though, if you use something like JBuilder, how can you import the UML from another tool? Has anyone messed with Popkin before or tried to integrate something like this?
