Item having 0 price is going through credit check

Hi,
We are facing following issue-
Our sales order is having multiple line items including a line item which creates network.
When we enter the line items with price in sales order, the sales order goes into credit check. Then we review & release the sales order from credit check.
Then we enter the item which creates network. This item is having 0 price (Not relevant for pricing). However, when we enter this line item, sales order is going again in credit check.
Ideally since this item is not relevant for pricing, SAP should not again put credit block.
Have anybody faced similar issue?
Appreciate your help in advance,
Shashi

Hi Shashi,
Please check whether the "credit check" is active for the item category used for creating network. This setting is there in item category configuration. We faced the similar issue and when we removed the credit check from item category, the issue got resolved.
Thank you,
Shirish

  • Orders going on credit check hold in oracle

New sales order is getting hold even there are open credits (Unapplied Receipts & AR Account Credits with open balance)
    Example
However there are open credits (Unapplied Receipts & AR Credits with open balance) to the tune of $200
If we don’t consider the AR Credits, the Outstanding Invoice Balance is “$900” .
To this if I add the Outstanding orders in OM for this customer as per the “Orders on Credit Check Hold Report”- $250—That will put the total balance as $1150
This balance exceeds the credit limit of $1000
To prove this theory I have applied some Invoices to the $200 receipt there by bringing down the open Invoice Balance and then entered an order and that new order did not go on Hold.
Is this the solution to get rid of hold or its something else?
    Thanks

This could be one of the solutions.
Alternatively, you could review your Credit Hold setup to check that what all transactions are being considered when calculating the credit amount.
Also there is a concurrent program which needs to be executed so that the calculation is refreshed periodically.

  • Credit Check for "Not Relevant" sales order items

    Hello All,
I am having a situation where my client takes advance reservations almost an year in advance.
The sales order items have schedule line category to not consume inventory and so the overall status on each line item is "not relevant". The credit status on the order is "not performed". Since the overall status is "not relevant", the sales order amount is not added to the credit master receivables.
We have around 100K orders and I am trying to see if there is a good solution to do a credit check on all these orders.
I am in a desperate situation and would really appreciate a quick response.
Thanks very much for your help.
    AM

    Hi Shiva Ram,
Thanks very much for your reply.
When I change the schedule line category on the items, the overall status on the line item changes to "Open". The credit status of the order will be "not performed".
If I were to create an advance order with items consuming inventory, it goes through a credit check with the existing configuration.

  • Credit Check while creation of Sales Order for Item Category Purchase Req

    Hi Experts,
We are creating Sales Order using an Order Type ABCD for a material 1000. While creating Sales Order, we use Item categories (ZOVD, ZOVB,ZOST,ZOVP and ZOBO).
Credit Check settings are there at Order Type ABCD as well as all the Item Categories (ZOVD, ZOVB,ZOST,ZOVP and ZOBO). We are trying to test a scenario where a customer does not have enough credit limit while creating a sales order.
When we create a sales order for Item Categories (ZOVD, ZOVB,ZOST,ZOVP), credit check fails because our customer does not have enough credit limit, so that Sales Order gets created and Delivery does not get created (This is what we want), then we go into VKM1 manually and relase the sales order and then if we go to VA02 and check the status of the Sales Order, it says sales order status is complete. My Sales Team is saying here also Purchase Requisition is getting created.
When we create a sales order for Item category ZOBO, it is going into Purchase Requisition screen. Once we give another plant in the create purchase requisition screen and save it we are getting a message that cannot create Purchase Requisiton because of Credit Block.
The settings were same for all the Item categories.
    1) What made difference to complete Purchase Requisition for Item Categories (ZOVD, ZOVB,ZOST,ZOVP) and not for Item Category ZOBO when my customer is not having enough credit Limit.
    2) Why Purchase Requisition screen is not coming for us when we create an Sales Order for Item Categories (ZOVD, ZOVB,ZOST,ZOVP). We only get Create Purchase Requisiton Screen for Item Category ZOBO.
    Thanks

    Hi,
None of the Item Categories has Create PO Automatically.

  • Automatic Credit Check- Credit active field in Item Category

    Hi All,
In the current system, simple credit check is active and now the customer would like to consider the open sales order and delivery documents as well. Hence we are activating automatic credit check.
The issue I am facing here is the credit active field is not activated in Item category level, since it has not been activated, the system is not performing the automatic credit check for the old as well as newly created sales order. If I activate the credit active field in Item category level its working fine for newly creating documents.
But the credit check is not happening for the sales order which has been created in the past.Whether the credit active field not activated earlier is the reason behind this issue.
Please let me know is there is any other way to perform credit check for the old sales orders as well.
    Regards,
    Mythily

But the credit check is not happening for the sales order which has been created in the past.Whether the credit active field not activated earlier is the reason behind this issue.
Credit check will not happen for the saved sales orders. It is not the reason because of credit active field was  not ticked for item category. you had performed Simple credit check for those orders,
I assume you might be knowing that Simple credit check does not update open order, open delivery and open invoices etc, it updates only receivables. Even though you had ticked the item category the field credit active, it would not have performed.
Now for old sales order anyway it will not perform the credit check, only thing you can do
Run the program RVKRED88  in SE38  so that it will update the all sales values into FD32. This. This is the best way i think this will work. Please test this from your side. I did not check in my system.
Why you want to perform the credit check on the sales documents which are already created and saved. as per me it does not make sense.
    thanks,
    Srinu.

  • Type of credit check

    HI,
Could anyone explain to me about type of credit check specially "Credit check on the basis of overdue open items" ?
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Saiful arif

    Hi,
There are 2 main types of credit check:
    1. Simple Credit check
    2. Automatic check
Simple credit check behaves in the same way for all the customers & hence is not used frequently.
Automatic credit check allows you to control different customers in different way with respect to their payment history (good payment master/bad payment master). The control is done for the combination of "credit control arearisk categorycredit group". You use transaction code OVA8 for the control. There are many types of automatic credit checks:
Before that I would like to explain some terms:
open sales orders: delivery not done for any item in the sales order
open deliveries: invoice not done even for a single item
open invoices: accounting document not yet generated
open line items: when the system generates an accounting document for an invoice, it generates a line item which is displayed in the transaction code FBL5N. Here you see against which invoice, how much is the A/R (accounts receivable) amount. Open line items means the payment has not been received for this line item.
    Types of credit checks:
    1. Static credit check = The customer's credit exposure may not exceed the established credit limit. The credit exposure is the total combined value of the following:
    *Open sales documents
    *Open delivery documents
    *Open billing documents
    *Open items (accounts receivable)
    2. Dynamic credit check: The customer's credit exposure is split into a static part - open items, open billing, and delivery values - and a dynamic part, the open order value. The open order value includes all not yet or only partially delivered orders. The value is calculated based on the shipping date and the credit horizon you specify in the adjacent field. For the purposes of evaluating credit, the system will ignore all open orders that are due for delivery after the horizon date. The sum of the static and dynamic parts of the check may not exceed the credit limit.
    3. Document Value: The sales order or delivery value may not exceed the maximum value that you specify in the adjacent field. The value is stored in the currency of the credit control area. This type of credit check makes sense, for example, if you process orders for new customers whose credit limits have not yet been defined. The check can be initiated by a risk category which is defined specifically for new customers.
    4. Critical fields: The indicator controls the critical field check. If the field is selected, the system checks whether critical fields have been changed. The critical fields are as below:
    *Payment terms
    *Additional value days
    *Fixed value date
Use this type of check for sales documents only.
    5. Next Review Date: The next credit review date is stored in the credit data in the customer master record. When you process a document, the next credit review date must not be beyond the current date.
6.Open Items: This type of credit check works in conjunction with two values that you specify in the adjacent fields:
*Maximum % of overdue items in open items
*Number of days which the open items are overdue
The proportion of overdue open items (that exceed the specified number of days) in the total of open items should not exceed the percentage specified.
7.Oldest open Item: system carries out a credit check based on the age of the oldest open item. The oldest open item must not be older than the number of days specified.
    8. Highest Dunning Level: With this type of credit check, you specify the highest dunning level you want to allow in the adjacent field. The dunning level is tracked and stored in the credit data in the customer master record. If this level is exceeded during order or delivery processing, the system carries out a credit check.
Dunning means the follow up with the customer for receiving the payment.
    9. User Specific: Used for user specific credit check if it is noe fulfilled through first 8 options.
Overdue Open Items: You enter a payment term in the customer master - sales area data - billing screen. The payment term is suppose "within 15 days" & the baseline date (date used by system to calculate due date) is say posting date.
If today, i.e on 21/08/2008, you create an invoice & accounting document also generated (which will generate a line item in FI-A/R statement), the system will determine the due date as 04/09/2008. If the payment is not received latest by 04/09/2008, the line item will automatically become overdue. In the first field the system asks for Maximum item percentage which is calculated as under:
"X" = (open items which are more than a certain number of days overdue / customer balance )
customer balance is according to me the adjacent field, i.e "Number of days for considering open items".
Say if "X" = 1 & after creating some time if the system calculates that the value has exceeded "1" then it will block the sales order for credit check.
Hope this gives you a clear idea.
    With best regards,
    Allabaqsh G. Patil.

  • How to avoid a second credit check on sales order

    Hi,
The sales order items had been entered. A credit check was carried out during sales order creation.
The sales order was blocked due to credit check.
The item in the sales order does not have sufficient stock available and so it was not confirmed at all in the order.
    No scheduled lines was confirmed.
In order to save time, User submit the credit release forms to Finance to release the sales order.
Finance promptly released the sales order.
Now, the stock had arrived after 1 day.
Transaction, VL01N cannot convert the sales order to delivery order as the item was not yet confirmed.
To confirm the sales order item, User accessed TCODE, VA02 and does an availability check to confirm the sales order item.
The item was confirmed and the order was saved.
Now, the same sales order was blocked again due to credit check.
User had to re-submit forms to finance dept to release the order again.
Is there a better way to handle this so that it need only to be released once?
    Please advise.
    Thanks in advance.

The sales order items had been entered. A credit check was carried out during sales order creation.
The sales order was blocked due to credit check.
The item in the sales order does not have sufficient stock available and so it was not confirmed at all in the order.
In standard once the sales order is blocked system usually remove the schedule lines to make it zero. And once the sales order is released( approved) system automatically confirm the schedule lines.
This you can observe when you create a sales order, you can see the confirmed qty in Schedule lines, and once it is blocked automatically schedule lines become zero qty.
This is standard behaviour of the system.
Where as if the above of your above statement is true, there is no stock actually hence system is not confirming stock, and it is not because of credit block then check if there is any Exit implemented as suggested by "Eduardo".
Now, the same sales order was blocked again due to credit check.
User had to re-submit forms to finance dept to release the order again.
This is usually happens when you maintain the field "number of days"  and i assume you might have maintained as 1 day  in this field under the tab Release documents are still unchecked in OVA8.
    thanks,
    Srinu.

  • Why Delivery doc. printed when we release credit check at VKM5.

    Hi
when user1 create delivery doc. delivery note gets printed with output type WMTA after that user2 releases delivery through credit check (VKM5) this time again delivery doc. printed.
why delivery doc gets printed when user2 releases the delvery doc from credit check.
    need your input
    thank you

check in output procedure against your output - WMTA any routine is assigned, take help of abap and ask him t check the routine. Next check output program where system is not checking the processing status from NASt table before printing.
May you need to write logic as above.

  • Credit value used in credit check

    Hi,
Could any one help me understand how credit value is calculated in credit check for sales orders.
I was assuming that credit value is undelivered value returned by fm -SD_CREDIT_VALUE_ORDER.
When i debug this fm gives me different value each time.Acoording to the config Total amount of order(incl tax) should be used for credit check.
    Thanks in advance.
    Priya.

Hope you have released the credit block and then when you are changing any parameter(other than qty and value) the order is going on credit check again? If yes, in OVA8 - under " Released orders are still unchecked" maintain number of days or percentage of change of value. Then the reeleased orders will not be checked again .
If you havent released the credit blocked order and when ever you do any changes to order and save it, you will get the credit blocked message all the times. If the amount is not consistent then may be you can execute few programs to reset the open credit value of the customers. Please refer to the below notes for incorrect credit values.

  • Credit check for the first sales order

    Friends,
We are using dynamic crdit check.
we set credit limit for Rs 100000. Now when I am creating first sales order for Rs. 500000, system allow to do it.
Practically it should not allow to do it. How to handle this? please help.
    Thanks

    Dear Pratap,
Enusre that in OVAK, you have the check credit as D and the credit group as 01.
The credit check will be either static or dyanmic based on which indicator you are choosing in the transaction OVA8.
Open order:Orders which are not delivered and relevant for credit check.
Open delivery: Delivery which is not invoiced and relevant for credit check.
Open billing doc: Invoice to which accounting document is not genereated yet in the system.
Open Items: Accounting documents which are due from the customer, and cleared in the system yet.
These are all the basic definitions to explain the difference between static and dynamic check.
The difference between the static and dynamic check is as below.
In case of static check, all the open order, open delivery, open billing document, opn item will be considered during the credit check.
In case of dynamic check, you will be specifying the HORIZON period which will restrict the open orders to be considered for a certain period.
That is to say, if you keep the HORIZON as 2 M, then the orders which are due for delivery beyond 2 months will be ignored; remaining open orders, open delivery, open billing document, open itms will be taken into consideration as it is.
If you don't use the HORIZON period, I would suggest you to activate the indicator STATIC rather than dynamic. Hope this clarifies.
Please do revert if need any more clarification.
    thank you
    Venkatesh SP

  • In iTunes I'm having problems changing the "Media Kind" with a number of playlists in the OPTIONS menu from "music" to "audiobook". After going through the steps, the next time I check the items have reverted back to "music". What step am I missing?

In iTunes I'm having problems changing the "Media Kind" in the OPTIONS menu from "Music" to "Audiobook". After going through the steps, the next time I check, the items have reverted back to "Music". What must I do to save it as an "Audiobook"?

After more digging in the Support section here and some Google work, I turned off iTunes Match and lo and behold!  I can change the media kind to Audiobook!  So, it looks like iTunes Match locked the files up somehow and for some reason.
I went into iTunes Store > iTunes Match > "No, Thanks" to disable it on the local PC.

Each time that you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

  • Credit Check Problem - Incorrect status in VBUK after items are rejected

    Hi All,
I create a sales order initially and if it goes on to a credit block, the field VBUK-CMGST (overall status of credit checks) is set to B or C and an entry is made in the table VAKCR. However, when I reject all the items of that order, the entry in VAKCR is deleted but VBUK-CMGST is not reset. I assumed that if all the items are rejected then the crdit check should run again and reset VBUK-CMGST as not relevant. This is causing problems as lot of orders are showing up in V23 report as blocked for billing even though there is nothing to deliver or bill.
Can any one help with proper config to over come this or with any OSS Note that you may know. We are on ECC 5.0
    Thank You,
    sckr

I tried what you suggested and it seemed like the most reasonable thing to do. However, I was told that unrejecting a line item will not do the credit check again and any credit blocks should be removed using VKM3. I have also moved from my previous job so I no longer need to look into this. I am sorry for not replying earlier.
    Thanks for your suggestions

  • Is Credit Check Per Line Item in Sales Order  Possible?

    Dear All,
Hope you all are doing well !!!
Infact i am currently implementing OPM and SCM modules for a CSD (carbonated soft drinks) industry. They have a specific requirement on Credit Management. Please look at the Requirement Below.
Credit Management Per Line on SO
Client Charges Distributors for both Liquids (Finished Product) + [Return Glass Bottles and Shells) for the First Time.
Subsequently while returning RGB(Return Glass Bottles)'s and Shell's are being given Credit memos.
CBL gives credit only on Bottles & shells but not on Liquids.
For Liquids CBL takes the Prepayment & Its Compulsory.
So the Credit limit needs to be check on the bottles and shells only.
Oracle E-Business Suite Credit Management does not work per line item for a
Particular Sales Order. It works on total Sales Order. as this is not a standard Process in Oracle how we can achieve this without customization.
Please suggest me through any workaround we can achieve this and its a show stopper for us and business critical for my client. Please help me on this regard.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Aditya

I'd suggest writing your own might be easier. Oracle buckets the exposure as per the list below whereas you are probably only interested in seeing a total order exposure (by line item for bottles/shells) and total AR exposure summary.
Also the standard report will look at the unit sell * the ordered quantity in calculating transaction amounts on open orders which is your problem. If I've understood your requirement correctly, you only want to consider the shells and bottles in the credit check because you enforce prepayment for liquids so presumably your AR o/s balances are only for money owing on shells and bottles.
In that case, your only real issue is at the order entry stage (again because Oracle will be considering the total transaction value if you're using the standard automated credit check) which is why I suggested the manual workaround there.
