ITouch 4g camera is fuzzier and does worse with sources of light than other 4g's
Here are some photos taken with my iPod touch 4G. I was hanging out with some friends last night and they took photos and videos that weren't nearly as grainy and blurry. What's wrong? In situations that were just as dark or darker, the videos and photos turned out clearer and less blurry. They were still visibly low res, but they were at least presentable for showing friends or posting on social networks. I've even seen ipod touch 4g video reviews with better photos.
With less that optimum light, the still photos taken by the 4G iPod are poor, like the ones yuo posted. The 4G does not have good camera.
You can
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

My desktop IMac OSX 10.6.8 : IMovie '11: Trying to upload a home movie clip from my Panosonic camera model PV-DV203D. I've had this camera several years, and used it with Windows desktop. Now trying to work with my Mac. I have a USB cable, both ends fit, but iMovie '11 does not recognize it. Is there a driver fix for this?
What kind of Mac to you have? This camera is a tape based DV one that connects best with firewire and I cannot tell if your Mac has firewire. If your mac *does* have firewire, get a camcorder firewire cable and try again.
ETA: Oops, I am pretty sure that all the "desktop iMacs" have firewire, so you should be good to go. You will probably need a cord that goes from FW800 to your camcorder. -
The FaceTime camera is really bad on my New iPad (which I've had for a while) it's really fuzzy, poor & doesn't autofocus properly however the other camera is really good how do I fix this?!!!! X( x_x
I'm also on iPhone 4, iOS 6, and have exactly the same problem. I've tried resetting privacy settings, turning restrictions on and off, deleting and reinstalling apps. Nothing seems to work. The lists of apps in privacy settings are all empty, except for location services. When using Tweetbot the app is regularly asking for permission to access my twitter account, but even when I allow that, the app doesn't show in privacy settings. When I try to go into the camera roll from the Facebook app, the app tells me I have to allow access to the camera roll from the privacy settings - which I can't do since the app is not listed there.

So Flash Player today decided it doesn't want to work with my webcam. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out what the problem is. The camera works fine with other video camera software, such as Adobe Flash Live Encoder 3.1, for example, or the various Microsoft cam tools. But Flash Player just won't see it. When I visit a website that uses the camera through flash, all I get is a black box. I never get the privacy screen that asks me if I would like to allow the site temporary access to my camera.If i go into my settings, and go to the camera tab, it shows my camera device in the dropdown box. But you know how if you double-click the little box under the dropdown, it should activate your camera and display a little video inside that box? That doesn't work for me. All I get is this:
It doesn't matter if I use FF or IE. I've re-installed Flash Player, both the FF version and the Ax version. To no avail. I've logged into my computer as a different user, because hell maybe it's some weird dumb thing in the Flash Player cache or something. Nope.
Now here's the super, super, super annoying part: I just recently moved to this laptop and one of the things I was looking forward to was a computer where my webcam would FINALLY work with flash player again. Yes, that's right: my old computer had this exact same problem. And in both cases, at one point the camera worked with Flash player no problem, and then at some point, it just stopped working.
This makes me think, of course, that the problem is some nefarious piece of software I've installed, but I can't think of what that is. I know the camera was working with my new computer as early as last week. Recently I've installed a bunch of software, including Adobe Media Live Encoder 3.1, Flash Professional CS5, and the Adobe Connect add-in. I've uninstalled everything except CS5, because, hey, who wants to re-install that if they don't have to? I'll do that as a last result, but the guy sitting next to me has the entire CS5 suite installed and camera works fine for him with Flash Player (same exact hardware too), so I don't think it's that. Other than that, I dunno. I've got VS2008 and 2010 installed. GoToMeeting. Office. That's about it.
So. Any ideas? Any thoughts on how I could even start to debug the issue? Logging or something? Any help is much appreciated.Yes.

Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg
Set
AVHardwareDisable=1
to:
AVHardwareDisable=0
Restart your browser. Done. Camera works now.
I really want to shout this solution from the rooftops, because try Googling the solution sometime. I did. I failed. You will too. Hopefully if I use some more 18-point bold font, Google will index it faster, because that's the way it works right?
I actually had no idea that Flash Player has a folder in Windows\system32 at all, and I definitely had no idea that this file existed. I am guessing some stinking app I installed decided I needed AVHardwareDisable set to 1 for some reason (effers). I found out about the location by just lazily searching through the windows registry for "Flash Player" and eventually saw it pointing to that directory. A little more poking around and I found this file.
Those of you who actively support this forum: please keep this in the back of your mind, next time someone has audio/video input problems with Flash Player. I've found an awful lot of forum posts from people with cameras not working, and I bet a good portion of them need this fix. Reinstalling Flash Player will not fix it. Here's hoping the solution comes up in Google for the next unlucky soul. -

my ipod touch felt down and since show me the appel sign and does not want to go further but it's charging correctly. when I connect it to the computer it's ask for a passcode that i dont remember.Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Camera screen fuzzy and not taking pictures
My camera will not take pictures and will just show a fuzzy screen. Sometimes it flips to take a front photo and then locks up. Any ideas?
First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

I downloded the new OS X Lion, and everything is great with it,besides the fact that my cam wont work on sites like Dailybooth or stickam. And i cant watch Youtube videos becuase it tells me that i have to downlad adobe flash and i did but that still didnt work.
how do i fix this?I don't know about the Flash, but your camera, which appears to be USB and therefor requires drivers, probably does not have drivers compatible with Lion, or you have to download them.

one fix may resolve a couple of the issues as the issues seem
similar.
I used the "corporate template" built into the program. I
have resized and changed the graphics. I have been able to
customize virtually all aspects except:
I need to move the "quit" button from the templates original
location. I would like it at the bottom left and when I put it
there and then publish, the published result will have the button
back at the tope left.
The next similar issue regards the password box. The other
boxes (I am using first name, last name, emp id, and password.) I
need to move the “password box" from template to a different
location to have room to display all that I want. Currently all the
other field boxes and images move without issue but when the
password box is moved it does not stay and returns to its original
position.
Another issue I have is I need to remove the check answer
button. I have checked and unchecked this option in the wizard and
the button persists. I have resorted to trying to hide it being
graphics but would like it gone altogether.
My final dilemma is with showing the correct page numbers on
the quiz.
I am trying to get all of my modules in one section so that
the user is forced to go page by page to take our tutorial. Instead
I am finding that when I try to make the pages work in that manner
I am unable to proceed past the quiz at the end of each module. It
gets stuck at the end of the quiz and I would like to have a simple
continue afterwards to keep the flow going.
I really need to know if there are work arounds or if I am
merely trying to do the impossible.

PsychoCabbageI suspect the elements you are moving and that are moving
back are
placed based on variables. Look in the X and Y boxes on the
property
inspector for the elements that are moving. Do they have
variables in
there? Something like DisplayLeft + 5 etc etc. You would need
to make
changes in these areas to make the buttons move where they
should be, so
either change the expressions / variables or clear the
entries and
manually position the buttons.....but be careful as other
placements
could be related to these.....

when starting up Thunderbird, it's very slow. Running version 24.6.0 on Windows 8.1. Computer is a ASUS laptop. Have two email accounts. One account works fine but the other one is very slow at beginning. Clicking or deleting emails I get no response until after about 30 seconds. At times I also receive the following error message "chrome://messenger/content/mailWindow.js:179'. Clicking on stop script doesn't help. After about 4 minutes, get normal response times. This is after I have clicked or deleted emails aout five times.
About 5 minutes is how long it takes anti virus programs to scan the Thunderbird profile folder. Perhaps you need to exclude the profile folders from "on access" scanning and leave it to full scans to look at that part of the disk.

I'm trying to recover a file from my computer. I downloaded some important work files off of an email and then idiotically deleted the email. I had them up until recently, but then my son deleted them (he's five and likes to play around with things). I know that Firefox has a download history, but is it possible to use that information to actually download the files again?
Download history usually will have the link back to the original source location. Assuming that still exists, it's worth a try. When you right-click (Ctrl+click) an item, the small context menu should let you copy the URL of the original source, which you then can paste into the address bar to fetch it again. If the original download required you to be logged in to the source site, you should log in again first to increase your odds of getting the download.

Firstly I apologise for my dumness when it comes to computers.
We have a new imac and i have tried to set up our emails. One is setup up under POP (and is fine) and the other under IMAP, its the later that doesnt send or receive. What do I need to do to change the setup. I go into 'account' and where to from there??You can access, usually under the Apple (icon) menu in the main desktop
window, note item with name "About this Mac" & click on that, to see more
information about your computer, its OS X version, and other. The system
version and build model are there. Do not post a serial number.
If you are setting up Mail in a Mavericks OS X 10.9.x system, there often
is access to information in the Help viewer from the main menu bar, or
in an open mail application. If you have a Gmail or other account, that
info is often on their home page where setup and help are located.
The settings of each email account may vary according to their provider;
so you would have to change your computer to accept them. An older

While that may not answer your question, you could use the info in
your Mac OS X system Help viewer and use its search; or maybe
a Spotlight search to see an answer online.
You have to learn some basic things in order to actually use these...
and it helps to expand that so you won't have to pay for tech service
on things you can do yourself in a few minutes, beyond easy stuff.
Of course, you're hearing this from a guy with no ISP email, ever.
So mine are web-mail only; & I never save email to a computer.
PS: If you have a new Mac with an AppleCare plan, you may be able
contact Support for help. Ask someone (for 90 days, or up to 3 years
if the Plan was extended) there at AppleCare, for their guidance.

REALLY cool and weird thing with the room light and Apple IR receiver
I don't know if that has already been reported here or if it happens with other people. When running vista, I turn off the room's light and don't touch mac until the screen turns off. If I turn the light back on, vista automatically turns on mac's screen too... It's kinda creepy sometimes, but it's cool! I know it's related with the IR receiver, but shouldn't it recognize only Apple IR Remote's commands?

Java applet works in windows and does not work in linux

I'm working with site which is located in vpn network at work.
I use browsers firefox 3 and opera.
When I want to open java applet using firefox or opera at first everything is fine then on the last stage of loading(judging by progress bar) applet hangs(progress bar hangs) and when I reload page firefox shows in the bottom bar: applet <applet's name> bail.
In windows everything works both in ie6 and firefox 3.
On both environments I have the jre 6 installed.
please help!Ok, I installed ies4linux and jre 1.5.16. I can work with that but when I start applet screen goes black and window frames dissapear.
To solve this problem(feature?) I disabled DirectX-based acceleration for Java 2D but that works for javacpl.exe and does not work for my applet. -
