ITouch Screen Unresponsive

Hello, around 2 weeks ago my iTouch was accidently dropped into a bag of a drink (Whoops.) and I did the iTouch was completly unresponsive for that day and it wouldnt even turn on. I then procceded to put it in rice for a week. When I took it out of the rice I let in sit for a couple days. Then today, I full charged it, the bottoms now all worked except, the slide to unlock button on the screen would not move. I tried a full reset of my iPod which didnt help at all and theres kind of a diagonal whitish line going through the slide to unlock button (the line is very visible) What can I do to get the touch screen working again? Thanks!

It is more than likely affected negatively due to the moisture (drink) that must have seeped into the interior of the iPod and made the screen partially responsive.
I think a visit to the Apple Store for evaluation is the best bet.

  • Itouch is locked. screen unresponsive. Restore did not work (x4).  Any suggestions?

restored over 4 times.  nothing seems to work.  itouch screen locked up. voice over command is on. device is ready to configure, but i can not use screen.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

  • IPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???

iPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???
My son has nothing but problems with his iPad Mini.  It is less than a year old and it constantly freezes/crashes/glitches and parts of the screen are unresponsive.  This happens while playing games, watching movies, surfing the net etc etc
The iPad has been in a heavy duty Survivor case from day 1 and has been very well taken care of - so I don't think it's a damage issue
I have tried numerous resets (just holding the 2 buttons) and have disabled every feature on the iPad that might be causing memory/RAM issues (?)  all to no avail.
I haven't tried resetting to factory settings as I don't want to lose all the data on the iPad (mostly his game achievements and Minecraft maps that he has worked so hard on!!!)
    SO - any suggestions:
    1) Take it in to the Apple Store - I have never gone to Apple over an issue, is this possibly covered by warranty???
    2) Factory Reset - If I do this can I save all his game achievements/data???
    Cheers,
    Todd

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • TS1702 I purchased an app and got a 'waiting' message on my itouch screen.  What does this mean?

I purchased an app and got a 'waiting' messae on the itouch screen.  What does this mean?

You have a router that assigns IP addresses in sequential order.
Always turn your devices on in the exact same order and you will avoid the message.
It is not a serious problem.
If your router supports DHCP reservations based on MAC address of the devices that will resolve the problem.

My itouch screen froze showing "plug to itunes" after trying to update to iOS6. It still can be turned on and off. But the screen froze showing that message. I perhaps need to restore it. But is there any ways to export all the pictures from it before restoring?

Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

anyone else having this issue?   any solutions?
    iPhone 5, iOS 8, 64 GB

hi Franxis . . . below is what I had to do . . . I believe that my  crashing, perpetual rebooting and reset loops was due to some combination of my iPhone 5's hardware, iOS 8.1.1, and some applications.
I upgraded to iOS 8.1.1 upon release.   approx. 10 hours after this upgrade, the iPhone 5 displayed a bright white screen.  tried hard reset & phone would not turn on.  iPhone eventually turned on, to display lines & colors, but iPhone was inoperable - would not reset using sleep / home key combination or connection to  iTunes
I brought my iPhone to the Retail Store -  RS was able to reset phone, and then began the process of restoring from my last backup there & said it would continue throughout the day.  After the restore from backup completed, the crashing, perpetual rebooting and reset loops started again.
    1. I was eventually able to perform a DFU &  installed the phone as new (factory reset, I believe).
    2.  I did NOT perform a restore from backup.
    3. The phone seems to run fine now
The long story is that days 1-3, after the DFU / factory reset, the phone ran fine.  And, on day 4, I began installing Apps again.  When I installed the fourth App, and the phone crashed, changing colors, perpetually rebooting, and unable to start / get into a functional mode.   On day 4, I had to leave the phone alone for a while - was eventually able to perform another DFU - factory reset -  and again no restore from backup.  Today - day 5 - my iPhone is running fine again and I installed 11 Apps now (not the one that crashed my iPhone), accessed them all, and phone seems fine.
For me, it seems like an App, or some Apps that I was running caused the issues for me - it could be a combination of everything (certain Apps + iOS 8.1.1 + hardware not getting along).

  • Itouch screen

Is the Apple Itouch screen impervious to scratches? What is it made of. I am really worried of it scratching. I am thinking of getting the Invisible shield for it but I am wondering if the responsiveness of the touching the device will be still be the same?
Thanks and I look forward to your reply.
    ...B

No need to worry. The touche's screen is hard as steel. Here is a scratch test that shows the firmness of the Touche's screen:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzbxpSwDetk
However, I do advise you to get the Invisible Shield. Because:
    1. There are no fingerprints when using it (w/o it you WILL notice fingerprints)
    2. The ipod's back is very easily scratched.
    Have fun

  • Itouch screen problems in Iphone

My iphone fall down, and my itouch screeen doesn´t work any more. I can receive phone calls but the screen doesn´t respond. I already tried to reset it, but it dind´t work. the itouch screen it`s locked. Could you please help me?. THe warranty covers this kinds of problems?. Thanks.

I would suggest sending it to a third-party repair (Google iPhone screen repair) source that fixes iPhones. That will not be covered by warranty even if the phone is unlocked.
