hello all
i have used tritonus_mp3.zip, tritonus_share.zip, mp3sp.1.5.jar, jl020.jar, javalayer.jar and Mp3Encoder.java and i have downloaded these from http://tritonus.org/plugins.html.
in my application i am capturing sound in wav format and i want to convert that into mp3.
the wav file format is: AudioFormat recordingFormat = new AudioFormat(
AudioFormat.Encoding.PCM_SIGNED, 44100.0F, 16, 2, 4, 44100.0F, true);
but when i am going to convert the wav into mp3 then the following exception occurs:
Error: Unsupported conversion: MPEG1L3 from PCM_SIGNED, 22050.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, little-endian, audio data
does anyone have any idea to do this - then pls help

hello all
now i can convert wav file into mp3 from my local pc. but i need to convert the wav files from applet. i mean user will record from applet and when the user will want to store that recorded file into server using applet then a conversion will occur. in this point i need the coversion. currently my applet doesn't convert the wav file into mp3 from applet. the problem is - when user is going to store or convert the file using applet an exception occurs. the exception is:

i download the "lame_enc.dll" from client pc's in "C" drive from server's lib directory.
i have tried with different audioFormat but it doesn't work. my server JDK 1.4.2
how can i solved it or am a lost or in totaly wrong way? i really stack on this problem.
i need some quick answer for this.

Installed itunes 11.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.6.8 - why no Size or Kind in View Options? Can't distinguish WAVs from mp3s!

How can I distinguish mulitple WAVs from mp3s in Itunes 11.0.2 when no "size" or "kind" options are available? Also, how can I recover lost playlists?

Itunes crashed today & automatically installed 11.0.2 when I reopened it Chris.
There are definitely no "size" or "kind" boxes under View>Options, see screengrab. I didn't delete any playlists, they disappeared!

Saving as *wav.*mp3

I have Win7 Ultimate 64 bit. To now, Aud3 has worked very well for me, for years, and I have no complaint. And it may still be working well, as I have great faith in my own ability to screw things up and not see the obvious.
Today, I found my usual process to save a wav file as an mp3 was precluded from what I've done for the last several years. Since '81, actually, although I cannot recall when I started using computers. But nearly two decades, I think.
I want to save a wav as a mp3PRO(FhG) which normally, I recall, is followed by (.mp3). Today, that reads (*.wav.*.mp3) and will only save as a wave. There is the raw option, but I'd rather follow precedent and know what's changed and why.
I'm somewhat dotty from no sleep, and willingly admit this may be very simple. If anyone knows, and would be willing to let me know at [email protected] (so I get it faster) I would be grateful. Very.

Hi Heeli.
To convert CD Audio to WAV/MP3 search 'cd audio ripper' in
Google. First one that came up when I searched now is
Audiograbber which I've used and is quite good.
You can also sear WAV to MP3 to convert. Since Director is
now part of Adobe, I'll mention Adobe Audition (Windows Only)
which can do this. It's a powerful audio editing program that
can work with WAVs and MP3s. It's much more than just a
converter.
If you have WAV files, you may try convert them to SWA in
Director. Xtras menu - Convert WAV to SWA (Windows only).

There are so many WAV to MP3 converter software on the market. I tried some of them and was not very happy with them. Will anybody kindly recommend a high end wav to MP3 converter software that they have had a good experience with. I need this software to convert WAV speech recording into MP3 in batch processing. Same thing for a movie file.. If you want to play back the movie via a DVD and a DVD player you must create a Movie DVD and not just burn files to a data DVD... as Data DVDs are just storage devices for files and therefore will only work with computers...
Movie DVDs are special formats that include things like menus and special file formats.. so they can playback via a DVD Player...
You will need a 3rd party DVD Burning app like Toast which is what i actually use.... or the more popular DVD Creator app...to create and then burn a Movie DVD that will playback on a DVD Player....

make sure you have the exact path written correctly. If you can, show what the filename is in itunes, and the filename when you are looking at the song files (i.e. through my comuter). Make sure these are the same, and that they are all usable itunes formats.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Converting from WAV to MP3 using Creative MediaSou

I am trying to convert from WAV to MP3 using Creative Media Source Version 3.30.35. The program says it is converting the file to MP3 but when it has finished and I examine the properties it still says the file format is WAV. Can anyone shed any light on this, thanks?

It doesn't change the original file - it creates a new file in the new format. Check where your file destination is set to in the Audio Converter screen.

ich habe immernoch ein Problem beim Erzeugen von Loops von
WAV nach MP3 mit Audacity.
Im AC-Forum habe ich dazu nicht gefunden, aber hier benutzen
ja auch einige AC.
Also ich öffne eine WAV, und exportiere diese via
Lame-Codec als MP3.
Vorher gab es da keine Lücke am Anfang. Jetzt öffne
ich die erzeugte MP3 und siehe da
jedesmal gibt es zu Beginn eine kleine Lücke (freier
Bereich).
Wenn ich die Lücke rausnehme und wieder als MP3
abspeicher habe ich dasselbe Ergebnis.
Jemand ne Idee, woran das liegen könnte?

Nein, Winamp arbeitet mit einem Windows oder Winamp
mitgelieferten Codec, welcher genau
kann ich nicht sagen. Ich blick langsam nicht mehr durch,

Die sagen ja im Prinzip (wird hier überhaupt mein
Problem diskutiert?):
Wenn man mit Lame kodiert, dann wird die Länge mit
reingeschrieben, allerdings kann nur
Winamp und dieses foobar2000 das dann richtig wiedergeben.
Das verstehe ich nicht, denn:
a) Ich kodiere mit dem aktuellen LAME Codec und
b) Flash spielt das ja lückenlos ab, wenn ichs mit einem
anderen MP3 Codec kodiere. (also
stimmt das doch nicht ganz).
Wenn man mal über die ganzen Ungereimtheiten hinwegsieht
denke ich dass es schlichtweg am
Codec liegt.
Ich hab jetzt aber auch nicht die Zeit mir das alles
reinzuziehen.
