ITUNES FREE SOFTWARE UPGRADE 2 WRECKED MY IPHONE

I tried upgrading my iphone to the software 2 free offer on itunes. NOT only did it not work .... itunes erased my iphone's operating system. My iphone is totally useless. I can't use my iphone at all, not even the cellphone. What itunes now tells me is that my simcard is not supported and my iphone cannot be activated? It was already activated ...... screen is blank .... it worked fine before I tried to install this free software.
I have an unlocked iphone, bought several months ago. The model just before the G3 .... however this doesn't give anyone the right to erase my iphone's operating system under the guise of upgrading my iphone's software program.
Does anyone know what itunes/apple did to my iphone to rendered it useless and how I can correct it?

'WARNING' THAT if the iphone was UNLOCKED that itunes would erased the
iphones operating system. There was no such warning, at least I didn't
see it.
I'm sure if it was "visible" people would NOT attempt to use itunes's upgraded software 2.
SO YES, it is apple's/itunes fault for being manipulative and underhanded towards iphone owners that have unlocked iphones. In Europe a lot of
people have unlocked phones .... is apple also playing around with their
operating systems or are they discriminating against Canadians only?
And hey apple ... we also/have used (PLS NOTE COULD BE PAST TENSE) your other products, such as, computers, laptops and software programs (actually just bought 2 more apple computers & the updated software)... we've spent a lot of money on your products over many years ... so you are messing around with loyal clients that have supported and bought your company products for many years.
The price of the Iphone is peanuts compared to what we pay/have paid for apples other products. Just be aware apple .... there's lots of competition out

Will there be a software upgrade for old iPhones?

Hello. Does anyone know if there will be a significant upgrade in the software for the old iPhone? Or should I just buy the new 3G?

Version 2.0 for the old iPhones will be released in "early July". It will not give you 3G or GPS however.

You can only update your device to the latest iOS available for the device. For the iPhone 4 that is iOS 6.0.1, iOS 5 is no longer available. To update the device use iTunes on a Mac or PC

How do I download itunes 10.5 upgrade on my iphone?

When I plug my Iphone into my computer, my computer and itunes recongnize that I have plugged it in, but itunes says I need to download 10.5 on my iphone. I can not find a way to do it. It won't run on my iphone and there is no "check for updates" on my itunes app on my iphone.

I downloaded it for my computer, but when I plug in my iphone to my computer and open itunes it says:

I upgraded to ITunes 11 today; I was suprised not to have any of my music in ITunes when I started the program after the upgrade. What happen to all of my songs and APPS? and How do I get them pack?

I'm having the same issue. I'm using Windows 7 on a Dell PC. When I first upgraded iTunes to 10.4, the store would not load at all. I uninstalled every Apple product including Quicktime, and reinstalled them. iTunes seemed to be working normally for a while, but now it has difficulty closing, and when I open it again my library is gone. I have reconstructed my library and playlists several times, and this keeps happening! The store does seem to be working, but is slow to load initially. I have also excluded iTunes from my virus scan (I read that could help). Apple, this upgrade is full of quirks!

Free Software Upgrade??

I just bought a powerbook 15" widescreen Dec 8th 2005 from the Apple store. Is there anyway I can get a free upgrade to the new version of Ilife 06? Really want to get that iphoto 06 and photocast.

Historically Apple has only provided free iLife/OS X upgrades to those who buy a Mac on the day of the iLife/OS X announcement, or any day thereafter. (Since there are Macs already on store shelves without the new release in the box)
I wouldn't expect anything different this time, unfortunately.

Apps worked fine before software upgrade to 4.2.3, now my apps won't launch.

I made a few apps/games prior to the software upgrade, using Corona SDK and they worked fine, When I do a build now for any of them, they quit back to the iconscreen after 2 seconds.
They install nicely via iTunes and the icon appears as normal on the iphone, but upon launching, I see my logo, the orientation of the screen changes to landscape as it should and the status bar also shows as it should. Then after 1-2 seconds it just quits back to the iphone iconscreen.
I am not using the beta of Xcode and the Corona SDK version should be 100% compatible with the current Xcode version, all I can think of is the new software upgrade for my iphone.
I've also tried resetting it to factory settings, no use. What do I do to fix this?

Will not synch photos after software upgrade

Last night I put the new software upgrade on my iPhone and iPad. Not problems with iPhone. After installation i synched the iPad and it went through the entire process but with the photographs it said it could not find the file and therefore did not synch to photos. Looking on the iPad I only find a few phgotoigraphs synched, the rest are not there. This worked OK until I upgraded the new iPad software.

That problem occurs sometimes. The fix is to usually delete your iPod Photo Cache folder (yes it is labeled iPod even for a iPad). See the following for the locations:

Actually It doesn't. It says he's on a MacBook. I don't know all the different types of Macs. I was having a ton of problems with iChat. I opened DMZ to my computer, knocked down all firewalls etc and left everything exposed, still with bad results. A few weeks ago my power supply went out on my D-Link. I bought a linksys. Since I'd left all firewalls off I figured it couldn't be the router. I power cycled everything n the netork, still no luck. Today I bought a universal Power supply and started up my D-Link Router. Everything worked perfectly. My wifes computer - a laptop running Tiger worked fine with the Linksys and did my machine before the Leopard upgrade. Now that I've got the D-Link online everythings working.

Where are you and where did you get the phone. This sounds like a classic symptom of someone who bought an iPhone that originated in the U.S. which was then hacked so it would run on a carrier network other than AT&T... Then, when updating the phone, it becare re-locked to AT&T.
If that's what happened, you now own a paperweight. AT&T will NOT unlock them for any reason.
If this isn't the case, please clarify where you are, what carrier you have and where you got the phone so we can begin troubleshooting.
