"itunes.msi is not a valid installation package for the product itunes" - What to do?

What does this actually mean?
What to do?

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

What kind of gobbledegook is that?  Are you or Microsoft crazy.  Us computer users need simpler instructions.  Or you need to write your programs so that they work.

  • The file 'C:\Users\netrgm\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update\iTunes64.msi' is not a valid installation package

I am currently at iTunes version 10.5.1.42. It is telling me there is an update. It downloads and trys to install version 10.5.2 but i keep getting this error message:
The file 'C:\Users\netrgm\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update\iTunes64.msi' is not a valid installation package for the product iTunes.
Try to find the installation package 'iTunes64.msi' in a folder from which you can install iTunes.
The file is in the directory that is looking in, but it doesnt seem to think it is valid. I have tried several times over the last week or 2.

    Try the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
    3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

OK...  what operating system?  You can download the full featured drivers for supported operating systems from HP here.  Select the appropriate operating system, then download the full featured driver.  Run the program after downloading it.  Do not connect the USB cable until instructed to by the installer program.

  • Is there Full Version MSI installer package for the last version of Adobe Reader?

Is there Full Version MSI installer package for the last version of Adobe Reader?
    Where can we find it?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The full MSI installer for the latest 9.5.0 release is available at:
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.5.0/en_US/AdbeRdr950_en_US.msi
However, there is no full MSI installer available for the latest 10.1.2 release, since it wasn't a single dot release. The Reader 10.1.2 installer is available as a MSP file which can be applied onto the Reader 10.1.0 or Reader 10.1.1 installation.
You could also create an AIP for the latest 10.1.2 release, which would give you a single MSI installer along with the extracted files. Please have a look at the below mentioned document for more details on the same:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/837/cpsid_83709/attachments/Acrobat_Enterprise_Administration.pdf
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

    Hi Voodi,
I strongly think this could be a authorzaiton issue.
Have you checked the error log? More references : http://goo.gl/9554m ; SAP Note 731973
    Methods
    1. Activate and adjust table /bi0/pbpartner
    2. Activate and adjust table /bi0/morgunit
    3.Run program RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE
4 Repair info object using program RSDG_IOBJ_REORG
    5. If none of the above help run the program RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL with repair mode checked for 0ORGUNIT.
    Possible cases:
    1. Goto RSRV - SID Values in X and Y Tables for 0BPARTNER. If not try activation using RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE
    2. Check changes : If you add new objects to 0BPARTNER then you should also collect that newly added object , collecting only 0BPARTNER is not enough.
    3. If 0BPARTNER is inactive in Q, pls collect it in a request and try to re transport and check.
    Best Regards, @{

  • HT4356 I checked everything out and had no problem printing from IPAD/MINI using the HP Photosmart 6520 printer, but the next day, using same application, my HP did not show, but was looking for the AirPrint Printer, what am I doing wrong?

Using IPAD2, IPAD MINi, HP photosmartE6520 set up on wireless network.  No problem printing from my devices, but the following day, it is looking for AirPrint printer, why?

    Hello lenc48,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having a few issues when it comes to printing from your mac as well as some two sided printing issues.
I do have a some suggestions that we can try in the attempt to troubleshoot this issue.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
Please remove the usb cable (if using wireless, disregard this step) from the printer and from the Mac and leave it disconnected until further notice.
Please click on the first link that will give you instructions on Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once the software has been removed, please disable any anti virus protection that you may have on the Mac.
The next step we are going to take is downloading the HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers - OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
The installation will prompt you when to connect the usb cable (You will see a prompt for a wireless connection as well if that is the connection type you would like to use) so please do not connect the cable until prompted to do so.
If you are still having issues, feel free to write me back or you can contact HP Total care direct.  If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
    Thanks for your time.
    Cheers,

I am trying to update ITunes from 10.4 to 10.5 I have tried from both the program, and from a download on Apple's website. Regardless, I get the following error messages: (1) Installation package for iTunes cannot be found. Try installing to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install iTunes.  I can't find this folder. I have tried to completely unistall iTunes through the Control Panel, but it wouldn't let me: I tried going directly to the files themselves, but cannot uninstall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. System OS: Win XP SP 3.

Set the permissions for Everyone in the folder in which CCPackager created, to "Read/Write" enabled. This is strange since there is only an administrator account on the Mac (and that account already has read/write), but it seems to resolve the issue.
