ITunes summary page

I'm having a recurring problem with the summary page on iTunes; when I bring it up, only the top portion of the page is accessible - only the "sync contacts" pane and the top part of the "sync calendars" pane shows up and I don't seem to be able to access the panes or functions lower down. Any ideas?

10.7 Lion got rid of the slider (but it appears momentarily when scrolling and for a short bit thereafter)..
Use two fingers on your trackpad to scroll down/up in the window (and the slider will also appear).

Did you increase the minimum font size?
If you increased the minimum font size then try a lower setting (default is ''none'') as a too high value can cause issues like you described.
Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced > Minimum Font Size
Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced > "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

ITunes Summary Page - I Need Help

Need help! My summary iTunes summary page does not show ussage for videos, just music. Yes, I have videos on my iPod. Any suggestions on how to get the summary page to show usage foir videos?

I'm sorry, then, I guess I'm not understanding what it is you're looking for. What do you mean by "iTunes summary page" and what "usage" are you wanting to see?

ITunes summary page doesn't show my device.

Hi Everyone
I have a Macbook Pro running Lion with teh latest version of itunes and al updates etc.
The problem I have is when i use my account and connect a device i cant seem to see it on the summary tab within itunes.
Therefore i cant manage my device or restore from backup.
When i logon to the computer using a different account the summary and device appears... how can i fix this for my account.

ITunes Summary Page Freezes During AutoSync

When I connect my 5th generation iPod video and start to auto sync, itunes freezes up at the Summary Page after a few seconds. I have to power down in order to unfreeze. I have two users on my laptop. This problem doesn't occur for the other user. HELP

This happened to me as well and this is what I did:
My iPod had been recently restored and, by default, taken out of disc mode. So, I couldn't access iTunes through the account that it had been previously set up to. Everytime I plugged it in, iTunes would open and automatically go to the iPod sumary page. It'd then try to update, but freeze and turn white. iTunes was frozen. So I logged onto the other account and put the iPod in disc mode (because iTunes wasn't freezing on the second account) and it worked with the first account again. iTunes was on both accounts. I suggest you try this, though it may not be the answer. Hope this helps.

IPhone displays the wrong number in iTunes Summary page

had to change my phone number due to a hacker, now my summary page for my iPhone in iTunes still shows the old number. I've updated my details in every page I can think of but I seem to be missing the one that displays the correct number? any idea's?

sorted it myself after some proper research.
Change the number in Settings on your phone and when you next sync it resets the number in iTunes to match.

i have recently taken a new contract from 3 Network, its iphone 4s 16gig white
well earlier i was with o2 and was using iphone 4
so earlier when i had iphone 4, in itunes on the first page as in under "SUMMARY" There are few stuffs saying ...Nmae - CAPACITY - Soft version - serial number- Phone number
earlier with iphone 4 on the phone number - it used to show my number but recently i realised that withi the new phone iphone 4s the "Phone number" part says "N/A "
My itunes is the latest one and the ohone OS is the latest one as well and the computer OS is vista 32bit so i believe there is nothing nothing wrong with the windows or any idea what might be the prob?

My wife's phone does this as well. It's because she deleted her phone number from the settings so "it wouldn't show" in case the phone was stolen, I guess. I'm pretty sure if you put your number into the right place it will show up in iTunes. On the phone, go into the "Settings" app, scroll down to "Phone" and select it. The first thing you'll see is "My Number". Select that and enter your number as "1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx".

Automatically update option disabled in iTunes summary - no push happening!

Changes I am making in Calendar and contacts does not appear to be pushing to my iPhone which is on 2.0. In iTunes summary page, the option to Automatically update the iPhone is disabled and unchecked - I can't change it - is this why the facility is not working. Also, in the Settings > Fetch menu it just says that Push is happening for Mail, I never had the option to select Calendars and Contacts as detailed in the Apple MobileMe tutorial. Can someone help, also perhaps explain how this Push thing is working - is it happening over 3G as I don't get the best 3G coverage and am inclined ot switch it off - will I still be eligiible for Push?

The Podcasts tab in iPod preferences only applies to podcasts you've downloaded via iTunes. Podcasts in your library are considered music even when the Genre is set to "Podcast".
To automatically transfer those files to you iPod, create a (smart) playlist with just the podcasts and choose "Automatically update selected playlists only" from the Music tab in iPod preferences.

ITunes Summary issue...

My iTunes summary page in version 7.2 is displaying 9.68GB of my capacity being assigned to "Other"... what could this be?
I took off all my video and photos to see if there was some error.. and nothing changed...
I appropriately have about 2000 songs, but what could this other 9 GB of used space be?
Any help is really appreciated... just bought a Mac Book and want this issue resolved before I move everything over to the new toy...

Other can be made up of notes, contacts, album artwork, any folders you added if the iPod is enabled for disk use , the operating etc. If you don't have 9GB worth of what could be considered Other try restoring your iPod. Just be aware that restoring will erase the hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings, so if you have songs on your iPod that aren't on iTunes you will lose them if you have no back up. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation: Restoring iPod to Factory Settings with iTunes 7

How do I know if my iphone has successfully been backed up to my iTunes? I plugged it in and it said it backed up and I did a sync, but when I am looking through the summary page and I am not sure that all of my data got backed up. Please help!!

I have never backed up my iphone to my itunes because I always used the cloud. However, a few months ago, my wifi disk in my phone burned out so the Apple Store told me to back up everything to my itunes. I am going today to get the iphone 6 so I connected my phone (iphone 4S) to my itunes and I backed up and synced. However, when I look throughout the summary page and click in different areas (Photos, Movies), I don't see any of my data -- it is still asking me to Sync from iPhoto or to sync from another location. By backing up & syncing my phone, did all of my data get saved? Or do I still need to do more steps?
Sorry for the long winded question, I am just so nervous to get a new phone and plug it in to be restored and not have any of my pictures, videos or contacts, etc. Any help would be so so appreciated!

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(
How can I sync using USB? Right now when i click on the info tab for my iPhone in my iTunes this is the answer that I get -- I am a little unclear as to what it means.

How do I find the summary page on ITunes. Have new Windows 8 and have to change to manually manage music

I have downloaded audiobooks from the library using Overdrive for years. I have a new computer with Windows 8 and now it's been difficult. I have a book ready to transfer to ITunes to download to my Ipod but in order to transfer it a message came up saying go to the summary page in ITunes and check Manually Mange Music. I can't find the summary page anywhere on itUNES

The Summary screen is what you see in the main part of the iTunes window, when you select the iPod in iTunes.
To select the iPod in iTunes when the iTunes sidebar is NOT visible, there is a "device button" near the upper right corner of the iTunes window. If your iPod is the only connected device, it should say "iPod." Click it to select your iPod in iTunes.
If the iTunes sidebar IS visible (along left side of window), the iPod appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES. Click it there to select it.
When the iPod is selected, there is a row of buttons that starts with Summary. Summary should be the initially displayed screen. That setting (a checkbox) is actually Manually manage music and videos for an iPod touch.

ITunes not showing Summary page

After a successful download of iTunes 8.2, I now have a relatively minor issue. Whenever I connect my Classic to sync, iTunes no longer shows the "Summary page." I'm sure there's a way to get to that "view," however, I don't seem to be able to find it. While my downloads have all been successful, I'm not able to make choices about manually syncing, etc while my iPod is connected. I have not noticed any other problems with the download, but it's still early days.

Hi - I started out with a worse problem, that my iPhone (original model 8GB) would not sync after I downloaded iTunes 8.2 to my 2-year-old MacBookPro running 10.4.11. I got excellent help from suggestions in the thread at:
"IPhone not found by Mac or iTunes"
After running the fix there, my iPhone synched, but DID NOT SHOW THE Summary Page. I went to the regular iTunes Help menu, opened the Help file, and it said to "click on the iPhone icon" in the left side tool bar. I did, and the Summary Page opened and have not had any more problems since. Don't know if this simple fix works for everyone, but sure worked for me!

Select the device from the device list, then file > devices > transfer.
