ITV TV Guide Spry or what??

Hi All
I want to achieve the roll over effect that ITV have in their
TV Guide.
http://www.itv.com/TVGuide/default.html
Is there a Dreamweaver or Spry tool for this? Or is their an
extension?
Not sure if this should be listed here or in General.
Moderators please move it if you deem fit.

    You need to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes, and that should recognise the phone and let you reset it back to factory defaults - you can then restore/resync your content to it.

  • Hi,can anyone guide me on what is client side database & grid database.....

    what is client side database & grid database..........and what is the difference between Dataguard and stand by database() these are interview questions.........i am dba learner pls explanin me.......
    thanks u all...

    I'm not trying to be funny or mean, but, in my experience, if you don't know what a product/tool/component is, then you should say so. If you give the impression that you do know about a technology in your interview and you are hired based upon that premise, you might find yourself struggling mightily when your employer asks you to 'implement DataGuard by the end of the week'...
    Just some advice. Good luck in your interview!

  • Here is my Spry Contact Form... Now what?

    http://www.charlespatrickjewelers.com/contact.html
    I've got this form created with Spry, but what do I need to do next to get it to start working? I can't find a tutorial on that anywhere.
    Please help....
    Thanks all,
    Aza

    If you are using a server with a server side language available, (e.g. php/asp) I would recommend downloading a form mail program for that language.
    If you are using a server provider without a server side language then check with them as most provide a cgi script.
    Otherwise do a search for cgimail (the more modern ones are now cgiform), try Matt's Script Archive.
    http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html
    The info on how to use them is reasonably easy to understand, but Matt's is probably one of the better and more often used.
    Hope this helps.

  • ITV Preview 1

    Hiya
    I have just had a new channel appear on my box called "ITV Preview 1" any idea what it is? Its blank and has no program guide data.. I also seem to have lost CNN (no major loss)
    JC

    CNN has left Freeview at least for the moment.
    ITV1 Preview........is up for grabs at the moment - possibly a placeholder for ITV+1 although I have it here in Scotland........where it is STV....

  • What I have working on a Sony VGN-TX750P

    Hi all.
    I've been using Arch for about 4 years now, but I've never posted to the community.
    My primary system is a Sony VGN-TX750P that I bought almost two years ago now. The initial install used random hacks to try and make most of the devices work, but I recently reinstalled linux from scratch (thanks to VirtualBox allowing me to remove my Windows partition).
    With the new install, I decided to try and find new ways of getting the hardware working.
    Here's what I have working so far:
    LCD @ 1366x768
    External VGA
    Fn keys for brightness and monitor switching.
    ieee1394
    Sound
    screen dims when AC removed, brightens when re-established
    external keyboard/mouse
    802.11
    What's not working/tested
    WAN (not tested)
    volume up/down buttons on front (not working)
    SD (not tested)
    microphone (not tested)
    I do finally have a SD card at home, so I may try and get that working too.
    For the most part. I followed other tutorials to make most of it work. Once I had the basics done, I wrote a few of my own scripts for the brightness, and I modified someone else's script for the external monitor (script was written for a thinkpad).
    I'm not very good at writing how-to's but I'll try my best. This will probably mostly just be a bunch of information that I've been gathering and using as I try and get things working.
    First, do a base install
    Second, use the Wiki to install X
    Make sure you grab xf86-video-intel

    One thing to note... I use xrandr for switching the external monitor on and off. Because of this, I have a virtual window that is bigger than 2048. From what I've read the Intel video does not support dri greater than 2048, so I have dri disabled.
    If you don't plan on using a "both" type screen and only plan on mirroring to an external display, then you can uncomment all of the dri lines.
    Also, my xorg.conf is dirty, so, while it works for me (and technically could/should work for you) you may want to use it more as a guide. From what I've read, xrandr doesn't require two monitor/device/screen entries, but I haven't cleaned it up yet to try.
    I had fb working at 1366x768, but I forgot to grab my menu.lst file from the previous install, and I lost the link to the hints I used to make it work.
    I use wpa_supplicant to get the wireless working. I also use ifplugd so that the wireless and wired connections get configured when they get turned on.
    To do this, I edited /etc/modprobe.conf and added
    install ipw2200 modprobe -i ipw2200 associate=0; true
    I then edited wpa_supplicant.conf and added the various networks I connect to.
    This may not be the best way, but I then added the following to my /etc/rc.local file:
    /usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -B -Dwext -ieth0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
    Here's my pertinent rc.conf file information:
    MODULES=(ipw2200 e100 mii snd-mixer-oss snd-pcm-oss snd-hwdep snd-page-alloc snd-pcm snd-timer snd snd-hda-intel soundcore acpi_cpufreq sony_acpi vboxdrv)
    lo="127.0.0.1"
    eth0="dhcp"
    eth1="dhcp"
    INTERFACES=(lo eth0 eth1)
    gateway="default gw 192.168.0.1"
    ROUTES=(!gateway)
    DAEMONS=(syslog-ng ifplugd gdm @netfs @crond dbus hal @cpudyn @acpid @laptop-mode @alsa)
    the MODULES was mostly setup for us during the install with the exception of adding ipw2200 to the front after installing it.
    Sound was simply a matter of installing alsa-oss and configuring.
    To get the brightness working, I had to obtain the old sony_acpi drivers and compile and install them. The sony-laptop driver didn't create the /proc/acpi/sony/brightness file for me. And, unfortuantely, this meant that most of the stock gnome brightness tools don't work with it because they're looking for a different file.
    I ended up using laptop_mode to handle the AC on/off for the screen brightness.
    To make the Fn keys work for brightness I added two files into /etc/acpi/events :
    1) screen_brighter
    event=sony/hotkey SPIC 00000001 00000011
    action=/etc/acpi/actions/brightness 1
    2) screen_dimmer
    event=sony/hotkey SPIC 00000001 00000010
    action=/etc/acpi/actions/brightness 0
    These commands call a script /etc/acpi/actions/brightness:
    #!/bin/bash
    STATE=$(cat /proc/acpi/sony/brightness)
    NEXT=$1
    if [ $NEXT == "1" ]
    then
    val=$(($STATE+1))
    else
    val=$(($STATE-1))
    fi
    if [ $val -gt "8" ]
    then
    val=8
    fi
    if [ $val -lt "1" ]
    then
    val=1
    fi
    echo $val > /proc/acpi/sony/brightness
    Here's how I got the external monitor switching working:
    in /etc/acpi/events/monitor_switch :
    event=sony/hotkey SPIC 00000001 00000012
    action=/etc/acpi/actions/monitor_switcher toggle
    and in /etc/acpi/actions/monitor_switcher
    #!/bin/bash

    Please NOTE... the montor_switcher app is not mine. It was from a how-to for a Thinkpad, but I have since forgotten the link and can't seem to find it. I did make a few modifications to the script to remove the "external only" from the toggle mode as I never use just an external monitor.
    Also, with the external monitor turned on in the "mirror" state, gnome taskbar can look a little funny on the LVDS.
    I know this isn't a very good how-to, but I hope it at least has a little bit of information. Google worked pretty good for me on some of this. I'm at work and things are getting busier, but if you have questions, I can try and answer.
    if you want to see a particular .conf file that I left off, let me know and I'll post it.

  • What's wrong with KM4AM-V ?

    To making an upgrade of my old system, I bought  a motherboard KM4AM-V (KM400A), a Sempron XP 2400+ (socket A), 256 MB DDR 333 Mhz, and a new cabinet 350 dr-a235atx (Foxconn for P4 ... what does it mean? Is that for Intel?) that I discovered it is without Power-Led for JFP1.
    I assembled a minimal configuration, just to try the new material: mainboard, memories, processor and hard-disk (all in the new case).
    The results? If I insert the plug (without pushing power botton) I hear a whistle that stops only removing the plug. If I push the power nothing happens, even front leds remain turned off.
    All that I did:
    -   I connected power supply to the hard disk, and then the HDD wire to connector IDE1.
    -   I fixed Sempron, Cooler Master’ set and the relative plug in FANCPU1.
    -   I set up memories in DIMM1.
    -   I did not touch SW1/SW2 (so FSB remains 133 Mhz).
    -   In JUSB1, I connected the USB2 frontpanel cable.
    -   I connected the relative wires in connectors JPW1 and CONN1.
    -   In JFP1 I put : a) DOWN: HDD-LED (respecting colors: white on white, red on red), RESET-SWITCH (no indication about color disposition, so I oriented it like Hdd-led); b) UP: 2 pins POWER- LED and POWER-SWITCH  (respecting colors).
    -   In JFP2 I put: a) UP: SPEAKER (no indication about color disposition. I oriented it like others in JFP1); DOWN I did not put nothing because like I just said, the case doesn’t have the 3 pins POWER- LED, but in the same manual’s page (9) is write “JFP1 is compliant with Intel front Panel I/O Connectivity Design Guide”.
    So, what’s going on? Is the cabinet or what else?
    I cannot try these things in another pc because my old case is not compatibile with this new mobo, and my old mobo cannot support Sempron.
      Ehm, I am a complete amatour in this things like in English Language, so please, speak easy.

    I have just try with a minimal configuration, and every time I remove something more. At the end were remained only processor (Duron and Sempron, I tryed both), memories and wire CONN1 (no 4 pin ATX, no front panel wire, harddisk ... nothing!).
    I will try without memories ... Will it be possible without CPU?
    The surface was cabinet, but lay down ... I mean flat. The only way for don't have that whistle with PC plug inserted, and back cabinet switch ON, is don't insert Power Supply wire (CONN1).
    "look in your manual for the JFP1 header pin layout - you can use a small flat blade screwdriver to short (or "jumpstart" as i refer to it ) the pins for PWR-SW to start the board." I will try, thanks.
    Quote from: Stu Online on 25-March-05, 09:21:45
    lara, i think you need to establish exactly where this "whistle" is coming from.
    strip everything out of the case, and put the mobo on a flat surface, preferably on a large anti-static bag, then connect basic components to it: CPU, RAM and PSU. look in your manual for the JFP1 header pin layout - you can use a small flat blade screwdriver to short (or "jumpstart" as i refer to it ) the pins for PWR-SW to start the board. listen carefully to hear where the whistling is coming from (from onboard buzzer?) - but don't unplug or reconnect the JPWR1 4pin plug while board is powered on!
    for similar "board noise" probs, check out....

  • What video card should I purchase for old iMac?

    I have an old Mac 24 inch, and it seems that the video card is not working. How do I find which video card to purchase? I have a serial number.

    You could take a look into an appropriate repair guide to see what is shown for your model build identifier version of iMac (intel) with a 24-inch display; there were at least three models with that size display. Not a single one, was of PowerPC architecture.

  • Since Vista doesn't work correctly on XFI Pro Elite.. What other sound card solutions do wo

    I am not looking for a flame war - just to honestly get some advice from others on what other solid sound cards do you know that work properly when hooking up optical inputs and such and have a wide selection of inputs like the creative xfi elite pro's breakout box. M

    Ok an update. I am very persistant - was up to 4am trying to fix this and trying to go through every possible problem. That right there shows there is some serious problems with creative's software and drivers. It is suppose to be easy, not require someone who has a master's degree in computer science 2 hours to sort through the problems. It would help if there was just a clear install guide telling exactly what needs to be done - or better yet - gasp - an installer than actually did all the complicated things for you. (Creative - see Installshield and an expert consultant - they can help you. It will be worth outsourcing your efforts to get a clean view on things. I suspect the people putting these driver packages at creatives have been there a while and have lost perspecti've). It is possible to get the soundcard working to a degree on Vista. Things to realize (the following works if an only if you only have one creative product installed. Otherwise it could screw up your system):?
    Make am imagine of your Windows before and after this. Before because its easy to screw things up. After because once you get it working you will never want to do it again.<
    Order or find on torrent the Official Vista Install CD [do not install it yet]. Download it. Its large - or order it and pay $9 for shipping and handling. (I think they are paying a courier to hand deli'ver it and also bring me coffee since it is so expensi've). You can not get this from creative's online site. (Imagine that).<
    You must uninstall manually everything that creative installs at all before going to next step.<
    You must uninstall everything that is nati've audio to your system (e.g. built on the motherboard).<
    There must not be other audio drivers or audio software installed.<
    After you uninstall all this - make sure you also uninstall creative's drivers, any other drivers of an audio nature, and make sure you check the box that says "delete drivers" when you uninstall.<
    REBOOT<
    Remove any other audio products from the system if possible. If built on a motherboard - see next step.<
    Go into the BIOS. Disable anything that is audio related. Save your settings.<
    REBOOT (again).<
    Go delete every registry setting that is in your registry hi've using regedit that is creative xfi related. (This can take some time because there are many sub devices, and not everything says "creative" on it.)? Good luck.<
    Delete everything in your program files under creative (remember to make sure you do this as an administrator with adminstrator permissions - thanks UAC).<
    Delete everything in users/[every user name here that runs on your system]/appdata/local/creative<
    Delete everything in users/[every user name here that runs on your system]/roaming/creative<
    [another words - delete everything you can find creative related to the xfi] - again be careful if you have more than one creative product - you could screw your system.<
    Install the Official Vista CD. Install ALL the software with ALL options. Click yes to a thousands OK yes I agree to install. Make sure you install this with administrati've privliedges.<
    REBOOT (again).<
    Register (why not - you did everything else)<
    Update all the software that it says to update. This will take?a long time because all of the software that is on the CD is out of date. <
    Alchemy will not update because you will have just updated a new set of drivers. So...<
    REBOOT (again).<
    Update all of software again that it says to update. (Creatives update manager works decently).<
    Alchemy will finish installing.<
    REBOOT (again).<
    Do not use control/panel/sound to adjust things - its useless<
    Make sure you use the Creative XFI Volume Panel (It is not the same as the Windows Volume). Great job naming this guys... Set what you want... the sound should be working.<
    NOTE:? SPDIF seems to be not available in Games (Sorry folks who run PS3 Optical through this device - your SOL - thanks Creative). To do this you must use it in Entertainment mode - but wait... SPDIF is disable by default. You must go to the mixer and enable it.<
    Now with this being said - many things still won't be functional. E.g. there is no dolby through SPDIF, etc. Many of the features that were sold with this card - simply are not available in the Vista drivers. Also note that to use the latest Alchemy that is on the web site (not through the updates) you have to hunt down and find beta drivers and install those - which automatically expire later on in the year. Good jobs guys with this too... not very smart creative.<
    SO there you have it. I am sure I may have missed a step - so if someone trys this and has a question - I will try to help. This is ridiculous though that someone has to go through this. A Windows service pack for the OS is easier than this. Creative get a clue - - fire some of your developers and get some that can do a decent job programming the drivers after 2 years of alpha's and betas and release - and create a decent install product. I shudder to think of the poor souls who bought more than one creative product. Good luck sorting through the directory, shared files, registry hi'ves, etc. to get your software working. If I hadn't paid a large some of money for this piece of hardware I would have never spent so much time on it. I figure even at $30 an hour - its about $400 in effort just to figure the above out, search through all the registry, hunt through the multiple directories of Vista, download the software, find out which software you have to download, etc. I am posting it here so that the average person who spent a couple hundred bucks on this card doesn't spend hundreds of dollars of time trying to get it to work on Vista.
    My advice for newbies to computers - go to best buy - spend $50 for install and tell them to get it all working perfectly in your PC. Best Buy is overpriced on everything now adays anyway... they wanted $40 for a hdmi to dvi converter when you can order one online for $5. They seem to be the 7- of Electronics.
    Please creative - clean up your act.

  • Smart Guides, Constrain Proportions and Resizing an Object.

    When I have Smart Guides on and I'm trying to resize an object while holding shift (to constrain) Indesign seems to ignore the shift key. Usually when there's other objects in close proximity, or just closely aligned, vertically or horizontally. The image I posted is a good example. Trying to resize the bracket object while near all those other objects results in a lot of skipping around, and constrain not working. You can see in the image the outline is not constrained, even though I'm holding the shift key. It just wants to jump to those Smart Guides regardless of what I'm trying to tell it to do.
    This isn't much of an issue, but basically I'm wondering if this is a bug, or if the Smart Guides, just take priority. It's bit annoying turning smart guides on and off constantly to accomodate this odd behavior. Does anyone have any insight on this?

    Hi,
    I'm on a Mac Snow Leopard/CS5, and there actually is an update I haven't installed yet. I'm on 7.0.3, so I'll try that out.
    If it is a bug it's certainly not the end of the world, but I was curious if anyone else had been dealing with it as well. I love the Smart Guides, except for that.

  • Global Shelf Life Tags In ADMN What is this?

    There is a submenu called "Shelf Life Tags" in ADMN that is not visible in the left side or top Portal menus, but is visible from inside ADMN on the Action Menu ... Action Menu, Manage, Global, Shelf Life Tags. Nothing happens when this is selected an it is not mentioned in the Admin User Guide. So what is this and what does it do?

    This is a nav bug. the menu item should not be there as this is a system defined list. submit an SR to have the menu item removed.

  • Verizon On Line Guide

    When will the online guide and the TV media guide start listing what games are on the MLB Extra Innings channels. I want to DVR some games but the guides don't tell you what games are on. Also will they have the channel like Direct Tv has that shows the games that are on and you get updates etc......

    All outputs on the box work. You can get a SD RF output on the coax connection. Make sure the tuner on the VCR is on 3.

  • Please guide me to develop cube for HR Analysis

    Hi All,
    My Client wants to build a cube for their HR Analysis. They have data in Peoplesoft and Kronos systems.
    I have never worked on any cubes for HR. I needed some guidance regarding that.
    If somebody has done any such implementation,some document or presentation which can be used as a base,then please forward it to me [email protected]
    Please guide me about what kind of analysis we can perform using cubes and in general how it looks like.Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vikash
    Please direct me to the correct forum if i am at wrong place

    My guess is you would want to be in the Essbase or Planning forums. But It more sounds like you need to bring in a consultant that understands Essbase and HR reporting. The cube design will rely on the data and reporting and analysis needs

                              pl guide me that what is a schedule line in a P.R ?
    what is it's importance ?
    Regards & Thanx .

    hi
    U can set the schedule lines to be generated automatically during MRP via source list.
    1.First create info record & scheduling agreement for a material.
    2.Then create soucre list and assign tge scheduling agreement And assign the "source list usage MRP'' =2 (Record relevant to MRP. Sched. lines generated automatically) at ME01.
    3. Set Schedule lines indicator in the initial screen of the planning run
    Based on the demand system will create delivery schedules for a material.
    regards
