IWeb 08 - Next the universe help needed

I have built a website with the original iWeb and I am currently rebuilding it again on iWeb 08.
http://web.mac.com/jamie_jones
So far everything is going well and will be uploaded soon.
But I now want to take things further and have my own domain name and host my own sight on my own hardware at my office.
How easy is this?
Now I know that I will need a faster connection than my broadband and I am looking into that.
But this is what I don't know and need advise on.
Can I use a Mac Mini, load my website on it and point my new domain name to my static isp?
I know that I will need to leave the mac mini on perminantly for my website to be live for people to view it. Or is it not as easy as that?
If that won't work what would I need to do and have to host my own websites from the mac range of equipment?
The reason I want to do this is because eventually I want different websites for different aspects of my business.
In the long run I will also want to run an image library and sell pictures on it once I have mastered some of the easier aspects.
I know that I will need to venture away from iWeb to achieve all that. But it is the hosting aspect I need help on. I know that it is not a full iWeb question, but I couldn't see a better place to post it. I am sure other people must have had the same thoughts.
All advice would be most helpful.

Did you see this?

And an older article (not mac specific)
May give you some direction.
Sounds like a challenge!

  • A very important question about the HostSample-Help needed!

    Hi,
    I'm trying to build a plugin for EM 12c ( 12.1.0.2 ) which suppose to monitor jmx mbeans .
    I encountered during the README file which was packed with the EDK .
    1. In the section where I try to use Flash builder ( ver 4.6 - that's the only release I found .. ) I folowed the instructions if how to run the example ( HostSample/HostSystem ) . When I run the example ( I installed the sdk's of Flash and everything that was written there - no problem )
    in the web browser i got the login page , and put the parameters ( username, password ) as it said in the README - the same username/password as i log in to the EM console .Than I got an error saying " ... RPC fault string ..... Logging to management server ... URL:https.. host ( my host name ) : port ( my port number ) /em..."
    Does anyone has a clue about this ? What am i doing wrong or miss something ?
    It is very important and urgent to me . please help .

    To add a bit more detail. Before you run the application from FlashBuilder, open the same browser you will use to run/debug the application in FlashBuilder and install certificate.
    Firefox:
    . when the "This Connection is Untrusted" warning appears
    . expand the "I Understand the Risks" item
    . click the "Add Exception..." button
    . on the "Add Security Exception" dialog, ensure "Permanently store this exception" is checked
    . click "Confirm Security Exception" button
    IE:
    . when the "Certificate Error: Navigation Blocked" page appears, click "Continue to this website (not recommended)"
    . click on the "Certificate Error" icon in the browser address bar
    . in the "Untrusted Certificates" popup, click "View Certificates"
    . click on the "Certification Path" tab of the "Certificate" dialog
    . select the root certificate (certificate at the root of the tree)
    . click "View Certificate..." button
    . click "Install Certificate..." on the "Certificate" dialog that appears
    . click "Next" on the "Certificate Import Wizard"
    . select "Place all certificates in the following store" button and click "Browse..."
    . select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" on the "Select Certificate Stores" dialog and click "OK"
    . click "Next" button, and then "Finish" button
    . click "Yes" on "Security Warning" dialog that appears
    The other alternative is to enable http access using "emctl secure unlock". This is not recommended for a production site.

  • 1 year experience in NetWeaver installations- Whats next ?? help needed..!

    Hi Gurus,
       Iam a BE graduate(electronics) and have been working in a small company  basically doing plain installation of Netweaver ,XI, ECC systems installations will little configurations.
    I feel there is no much future in this domain.
      I want to switch team or take other roles to help me reach my goal of becoming a <b>Funtional Consultant</b><u></u>..
    If I am given  a role of <b>funtional tester </b>will it be okay to take this role.. or a role in <b>support</b> will help me reach the goal.
    Please help me in this regard.!!
    PS: replies will be appreciated and rewarded...

    I agree with what you say about new technologies coming along but they will all need basis input to get them up and running.  Visual Composer isn't all it is cracked up to be (in my opinion) but that's a separate issue...
    Whilst I'm sure the E-SOA achitecture will enable functional people to implement some business logic I still believe there will be a large requirement for technical people - functional people will only be able to build fancy xApps based on underlying services which will still need to be built by a developer, on a system installed and configured by a basis person.  They won't be able to magic functionality up out of thin air!
    You're right that functional people have more exposure to business processes (development people do as well in my personal opinion - in 10 years I've worked as an ABAP developer, PP/MM functional consultant and more recently Web development (portals, Web dynpro, etc.) and all along I've gained wide business process experience with the benefit that I've worked in most of SAP's modules not just 1 or 2.)   I've kept up with most of SAPs new technologies but never had to unlearn anything - in fact most technologies serve as good foundations for newer solutions.  The trick is to keep learning!
    The key thing here for you is possibly your MBA desires - I'd say this leads more to you moving towards functional work as you will no doubt gain more relevant experience that will help your goals.
    My experiences have taught me a really good consultant has a good understanding of numerous areas of SAP and technical knowledge is always useful on a project regardless of the functionality being implemented.
    Hope this helps
    Gareth.

  • IPhoto broken - Empty window when I open the application - Help needed

    Hi Guys,
    Since my upgrade to Snow Leopard my iPhoto 09 has been completely broken. What I get when I start it up is an empty window. No pictures on the right pane and no menus on the left pane. I read many threads about iPhoto issues, and so I have tried to rebuild the library, reinstall iPhoto from the disk I got with my mac. Still the same problem: On startup, iPhoto opens with a completely blank window. All I have are the three buttons at the bottom left side of the window (+, info and enlarge). Only if I click "+" to add a new album the menus on the left pane (events, photos...) appear. A few clicks on these menus and iPhoto crashes. All this, done with a new, clean library. I moved the old one, and keep it for the day I'll get iPhoto to work again. Hope you guys can help. This is painfully frustrating.

    Thanks for help Terrence
    I am using Suitcase Fusion 2 and just activitating Helvetica Neue in Suitcase seemed to fix this problem I have had for several months.
    I highly recommend doing the activation in Suitcase instead of just droping it into the System Fonts folder. This will allow for Suitcase to activate or deactivate the font. If you put the font into one of your folders, Suitcase can not deactivate, which might be necessary if your job uses a different version of Helvetica Neue.

  • Apple IIgs(a blast from the past) help needed!!

         I know your suppose to let go of older tech, but it's kinda hard to when it brings back fond memories.  I bought my Apple IIgs back in the late to mid 1980's &amp; it's been one of the most durable computers I have had with the exception of my MacBook Pro Laptop that I have had about 4 years.  For over 20 years this Apple IIgs has run without a problem.  So, here is what I have &amp; my problem/question.
         I have a Woz Limited Edition Apple IIgs with a Internal 100MB hard drive.  As I have 200+ games &amp; other programs for this computer it brings me back to pleasant times.  Over the last 5 or so years I've used it less &amp; two days ago it would boot.  Is there anyone I can take it to close to Jackson, Tn to see if it's fixable?
         I took the cover off &amp; on the side of the 100MB internal hard drive there is a pop out tray with two fuses which are good. The hard drive was easily removed &amp; upon removal I noticed a small sound like a piece had come loose inside the hard drive housing.  Upon opening the top of the housing(top side where the fan is) sure enough a small piece had came unsaurtered.
         I have considered resaurdering(word spelled wrong) the small part to the board myself as it looks like it controls the fan or is fan related,  but am trying to find somewhere to take this to be looked at.
         It has been one good computer &amp; would rather not trash it.  Any help would be apprieated as am seeking somewhere that gives me the best chance to fix the problem.  I figured Apples dissucision group would be my best bet on a answer.

    Have no fear; your IIgs is imminently fixable.  Finding someone local may be a challenge, but you could start with looking for an Apple users group near you:
    http://appleusergroupresources.com/find-a-group/
    They will of course now be Mac-related, but many Mac people cut their teeth on Apple II computers.
    Another alternative is to engage in the thirving online community of Apple II users.  There are many and varied message boards and other fora that specialize in the Apple II.  Probably the one inhabited by the most numerous techncial experts is the usenet group comp.sys.apple2, which you can get to via Google Groups:
    http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.apple2/
    Knowing the make and model of the hard drive (was it a Vulcan?) would be helpful, as would clear pictures of the situation you describe.

  • Difference between the queries - help needed.

    I have three tables Plan_Zip,Service_Zip,Plan_Info
    Plan_Zip is the parent table and referenced by Service_Zip
    and Service_Zip is referenced by Plan_Info.
    I have this query:
    select
         sz.ts_nbr,pz.packages_qty,pz.stops_qty
    from
         plan_zip pz, service_zip sz, plan_info pi
    where
         pi.plan_run_nbr = sz.plan_run_nbr and
         sz.service_run_nbr = pz.service_run_nbr and
         pi.day_plan_nbr = 43027 and
         pi.run_type_nbr = 0 and
         sz.ts_nbr = 1 or sz.ts_nbr = 2
    When I am running the query I am getting so many rows which are identical,
    but when I modified the above query as:
    select
         sz.ts_nbr,pz.packages_qty,pz.stops_qty
    from
         plan_zip pz, service_zip sz, plan_info pi
    where
         pi.plan_run_nbr = sz.plan_run_nbr and
         sz.service_run_nbr = pz.service_run_nbr and
         pi.day_plan_nbr = 43027 and
         pi.run_type_nbr = 0 and
         (sz.ts_nbr = 1 or sz.ts_nbr = 2)
    I am getting the correct results.
    Please explain me the difference between the above two queries.
    Regards
    Raghu

    Look at the below example
    SQL> create table t
      2  as
      3  select level no, level no1, 0 no2
      4    from dual
      5  connect by level <= 5
      6  /
    Table created.
    SQL> select * from t
      2  /
            NO        NO1        NO2
             1          1          0
             2          2          0
             3          3          0
             4          4          0
             5          5          0
    SQL> select *
      2    from t
      3   where no = 1
      4     and no1 = 1
      5      or no2 = 0
      6  /
            NO        NO1        NO2
             1          1          0
             2          2          0
             3          3          0
             4          4          0
             5          5          0Here what the where condition is telling is no should be 1, no1 should be 1 or no2 is 0. you can read it like this.
    if (no = 1 and no1 = 1) or (no2 = 0)
    then
         true ;
    else
         false;
    end if;so what i does is no2 = 0 is satisfied by all the rows and hence all the rows are returned.
    Next...
    SQL> select *
      2    from t
      3   where no = 1
      4     and (no1 = 1 or no2 = 0)
      5  /
            NO        NO1        NO2
             1          1          0This can be read like this.
    if (no = 1) and (no1 = 1 or no2 = 0)
    then
         true ;
    else
         false;
    end if;Here no = 1 is a must satisfy condition. Once that is satisfied then no1 can be 1 or no2 can be 0 which ever is
    satisfied consider that. So the first condition no=1 is satisfied by only one record and hence that alone is returned.
    Thanks,
    Karthick.

  • If SAP want to be masters of the Universe

    I have been interested in SAP ERP and mySAP add ons for some time now. Reading a number of books. I know basically all of the buzz three letter words and so on. I also have a great understanding of where SAP has come from as well as where it wants to go. I have gotten to grips with the stack, and what it contains. However where does a newbie with no practical experience get on board this fantastic ship of technology.
    I am based in LIverpool, England, which has just gained status as the European capital of culture. There is a lot of money being poured in to the city and masses of development, yet not many people even in businesses selling software have heard of SAP. We have one of the biggest University complexes on the earth, with young fresh people pouring out year after year, and there is nothing to offer them, regarding your wonderful technology.
    I think if SAP want to be masters of the universe, you need to be known in the quietest corners, and the furthest reaches of it. There should be programmes offering work experience, so that they can see SAP in action and get to grips with its wonderful capabilities.
    And as a final point anyone got any ideas on the best entry level into sap, I like developing and databases.

    SD certification is 25 day course for 5 days a week & 5 weeks. The first four weeks is training & last week is dummy project.
    It is recommended to do the course from Authorized SAP Training Partner. The course fees is high, but let me assure you that it is worth investing, as you will have a good career path.
    During the course, we require to work for extended hours & practise on the system. Earlier part Time was available, but not now, as SAP has maintained control of the training server, which is available only from Monday to Friday.

  • IWeb 09 and Go Daddy...Help Needed Please!

    I have read many of the posts on this question and still don't know the answer:
    Is it possible to use iWeb 09 and use the built-in FTP to upload directly to my Go Daddy site?
    I've tried and keep getting a "Testing failed. The directory/path couldn't be found."
    So, my question is, can someone who has successfully uploaded from iWeb 09 to Go Daddy please tell me what to enter in the FTP Server Settings of iWeb? I would like to know the following:
    SERVER ADDRESS (do you just use your site name, such as www.mysitehere.net or ??)
    DIRECTORY PATH (some folks say "http://" but this doesn't work for me)
    Also, do we just use PROTOCOL "FTP" or another?
    I am very appreciative of any help here! I basically bought iLife 09 so I could update my site directly from iWeb. In the past I used Fetch, which worked but is a bit of a rigamarole. So, if we can do it directly with iWeb 09 it would be great.
    Thanks for any help here! I'm very grateful!

    I just did this last night for the first time. Watch the FTP loading tutorial for iweb, it helped.
    Publish to FTP
    Put your site name in (what ever you want to put down)
    Server address is your domainname.com (no www)
    User name
    password
    no directory/path
    FTP
    Put your full website URL www.yourdomainname.com
    This will get it onto your go daddy site. It will put all of the files in a folder called whatever you called your site name above. Your website will look funny but that is iWeb FTP for you. It will look like www.yourdomainname.com/www.yourdomainname.com/home.html
    To fix that (I was told last night by go daddy) that I needed to log into godaddy and go to hosting on the left menue. then to manage account highlighted next to your domain name you want to manage. Then go into the folder with the site name you put in iweb and move everything in that folder to the root directory. Copy over anything in the root directory. When I did that the duplication of domain names went away and you are left with www.yourdomainname.com/home.html
    If you have problems call godaddy. They can walk you through it. Only do that after you tested successfully.

  • *Help Needed* Adding multiple emails/mailing list in the email subscription

    Help Needed
    Hi,
    Can someone help me in adding multiple email address/mailing list in the email subscription for interactive reports in Apex 4.
    pls mail me at [email protected]
    Regards,
    Sunny

    The doc does not mention a separator for the email addresses because we only support one email address per subscription. I have logged a task for our next release to look at expanding it and allowing multiple.

  • Latest revision of the FAQ in progress - help needed!

    Thought I would start a new thread...
    I need some help, guys I am looking for some helpers on the following topics, so feel free to chime in:
    -Text/PNG issues
    -Viewing iWeb sites on a PC
    -A generic list of "fixes" when iWeb is acting buggy - i.e. deleting plists, reinstalling the direct download etc
    I am working on adding:
    -.Mac vs Publish to folder
    -Whatever else comes to my mind...
    Here's the latest revision, let me know your thoughts. My hope is to slim it down to 10 questions/categories. I don't know if the Hosts will keep it as one post or possible separate, but I figure it is best to be broad rather than narrow...

    For basics on how to use iWeb in general, try here:

    For basic use of the “Inspector” (probably the most used tool in iWeb) try this link:

    If you don’t see your answer in either of those places or in this FAQ, be sure to check the Apple iWeb Support Page for updates and other information:
    http://www.apple.com/support/iweb/
    Still no luck? Post your question in the forum! We are all happy to help!
    Here are (or will be eventually) our Top 10 FAQs:
    1. My hard drive crashed, how do I restore a site from my iDisk/published folder? How do I backup my iWeb site(s)? How do I transfer my iWeb work to another computer? How do I transfer my old website made in Homepage/another html editor to iWeb?
    Your iWeb data is stored, not in your actual html files, but in a file called Domain.sites, which is stored in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. You should backup this file whenever you make big changes to your site, because if it gets lost or damaged, you will have to start all over. For more info, try these links:
    http://homepage.mac.com/thgewecke/iwebdata.html
    http://web.mac.com/will.englefield/iWeb/WillG4PB/Where.html
    http://web.mac.com/will.englefield/iWeb/WillG4PB/Backup.html
    Important: You CANNOT restore an iWeb site from the published html pages in your iDisk or a published folder. Publishing to a folder is NOT a backup. You CANNOT use iWeb to edit existing web sites/pages created in other applications.
    If you want to move your Domain.sites file to another computer, try putting it on a flash drive. Be sure to keep a current copy on the flash drive if you plan to move it back and forth between two or more computers. For more info, try these links:

    2. I am having trouble publishing to .Mac. What’s wrong?
    Keep trying! Publishing errors come and go over time. Don’t give up, and don’t do anything drastic! For more info, look here:

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303927
    3. How do I find my iWeb site on .Mac?
    Your site is published to the “Web” folder on your iDisk. The address for this site is
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername
    If you have more than one site, they will be located at
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername/iWeb/nameofsite1
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername/iWeb/nameofsite2
    etc etc etc…
    The index.html file for your “short URL” (http://web.mac.com/yourusername) will always forward to site1, which will be the top site in your site organizer (column on the left hand side in iWeb).

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iWeb/1.1/en/bld1082.html
    4. How can I keep more than one site but only work on/publish one at a time?
    Yes, but this requires some “domain splitting” – duplicating the Domain.sites file and slimming down each copy to contain only one site. More info and some instructions are available here:
    http://web.mac.com/mark8heaton/iWeb/DomainSeparation
    Also, here is a free application called iWebSites that will help automate switching from one domain to another:
    http://mistergregg.com/cocoadrillosoftware/iWebSites/iWebSites%20Home.html
    5. How do I add _ to my iWeb page? Where can I find additional help?
    You can add just about anything you could add to a regular website to an iWeb site, if you don’t mind doing some post-publish editing of your html files.
    You can open the html files generated by iWeb in any text or html editor. In TextEdit, to view the code in an HTML file, choose File > Open and select "Ignore rich text commands." Then locate the .html file and click Open.
    Here’s how to find your html files:
    If you publish to dot mac, mount your idisk using the "go" menu in Finder. This will place your idisk on the desktop.
    Then go to iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/Sitename/Pagename.html
    If you publish to a folder, try looking in your Sites folder of your home folder.
    If you don’t want to look at the html code yourself, try MassReplaceIt (http://www.hexmonkeysoftware.com), a free find/replace utility.

    Here are our Top 10 FAQs:

    3. How do I find my iWeb site on .Mac?
    Your site is published to the “Web” folder on your iDisk. The address for this site is
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername
    If you have more than one site, they will be located at
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername/iWeb/nameofsite1
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername/iWeb/nameofsite2
    etc etc etc…
    The index.html file for your “short URL” (http://web.mac.com/yourusername) will always forward to site1, which will be the top site in your site organizer (column on the left hand side in iWeb).

    5. Can I publish to my own web server? What are the differences between “Publish to .Mac” and “Publish to a folder”?
    When you publish to .Mac, your site(s) are uploaded via Web-DAV to your iDisk/.Mac account. When you publish to a folder, you select a folder on your hard drive to publish your site(s) to and then upload to your own webspace via FTP. When you publish to a folder, you lose some of the features of iWeb .Mac sites. Here is a list of the features that differ between the two:

  • Help! I reinstalled my Mac and erased my iWeb page in the program.Its published, is there any way to download the pages from Mobile Me?

    Help! I reinstalled my Mac and erased my iWeb page in the program.Its published, is there any way to download the pages from Mobile Me?

    To download your pages from MobileMe simply mount your iDisk.
    Then navigate to the Web > Sites folder where the pages are.
    You can't do anything with them however, since iWeb cannot import them. But it's nice to know that you can download them.
    You need the domain.sites2 files, iWeb uses to store its assets. Perhaps you have a backup?
    See this page for pictures and movies to learn how to use the domain file :

  • I changed my apple id on the apple help websites then I went to buy an app and the id didn't change and when I put my password wasn't accepted what do I do next so that I can buy an app?

    I changed my apple id on the apple help websites then I went to buy an app and the id didn't change and when I put my password wasn't accepted what do I do next so that I can buy an app?

    Welcome to the Apple community Jalm14ts
    If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • Moved iWeb before MobileMe shut down but need new host, please help

    Hello all,
    I successfully moved my iWeb site to a new host before MobileMe shut down and I remember a discussion offering lots of hosting sites that were good and free and some for pay.  I cannot find that discussion or the sites, although I thought I bookmarked them, there was one I even called and they were great but I can't find that bookmark UGHHHH.
    So can you all please recommend me your faves and how good their customer service it.  I am using NYPWH.com and have been for years for a site I never changed and now that I have to do some stuff to the new iWeb site, I find they are a little impatient with me, especially as technically challenged as I am.
    Thanks so much for the help.
    Gina

    Each of the web hosting companies that were mentioned, are unique in their own ways. I just wanted to clear up a couple of things to hopefully give you a better idea of which host might suit you best.
    First, godaddy is a powerhouse in the domain registration and hosting department, but what I've noticed over the last little while is a large increase in price. I used to recommend GoDaddy to users who are price senstitive but now I advise against.
    The other thing that concerns me about some of the other hosts is that they often offer introductory rates to entice their buyers. Once a user signs up and uses their services for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, whatever it may be, the user will often have to pay a much higher rate when that introductory term is over. This is something I personally do not like, and as a consumer, I don't think it's a very fair way to get people to use a service. And the most important thing for an iWeb user, is that these big companies don't really know iWeb very well.
    MacMate is more of a MobileMe replacement, and a better option for iWeb users who will want to take advantage of customer support geared towards an iWeb user. I like that they saw a need for a MobileMe replacement and are delivering. Their price is a bit high though, but still in line with the second-term prices of some of the other companies.
    Rage software does offer all of the services of an ordinary host. So I think there was some mininformation there. The things I like about Rage is they've been a pretty big part of the iWeb community for many years, so their support team knows iWeb in and out. A quick look at their price shows that they are actually one of the cheaper hosts ($5/month on the 3 year term, no introductory rate or more expensive rate upon renewal). They also provide their well known iWeb SEO Tool software for free to their hosting customers, which is a pretty big bonus in my opnion. Also, take a look at all their videos showing tips and tricks for iWeb users http://youtube.com/ragesw
    So to summarize, I'm not really fond of those bigger companies that offer the introductory rates and then jack the prices when the user needs to renew. I like the idea of MacMate, and it seems like a good alternative solution to MobileMe to users who don't mind paying a bit extra to receive similar services to MobileMe. I like Rage because of price, iWeb support, and the free software, so they would be my recommendation. Use Rage software and dropbox if you're a user looking to replace iDisk. It's free, fast, syncs with all your computers, iPads, iPhones, etc.
    I hope this was helpful and gives users a better idea about the hosting companies that are out there.

  • What's going to happen to all the iWeb hacks when the next version comes?

    When I refer to iWeb hacks in the title, I'm thinking of non-Apple software like "iWebsites" and "iWebenhancer".
    From reading this forum, I've already learned how to have multiple websites on iWeb by duplicating and copying the domain file to different folders in my computer, where I work on different websites separately.
    Now, I am thinking of getting "iWebenhancer" because I want to paste in some things, like "google adsense" and "youtube"/"Revver" video clips into my sites. HOWEVER, I am worried that all my hard work on my iWeb sites is going to get thrown out-of-wack when the next version of iWeb comes out early next year with iLife 2007 (I am presuming it will be released).
    What do other forum users think? I know it can be only speculation now, but still I'm curious to know if anyone else is pondering this.

    All of what you are saying is certainly possible. The next version of iWeb could potentially make all the workarounds that we do to edit HTML obsolete. To be sure, this is a net positive. But for those of us with more complex and more "post-processing" heavy sites, it will probably mean that we need to make some changes.
    From a purely speculative viewpoint, I'm going to guess that the next version of iWeb will make adding external HTML snippets via post-publishing unnecessary. This would probably mean that we will be able to put whatever code we want to add right into the iWeb workspace....maybe somewhat akin to how iWebEnhancer works....but all built into iWeb. So as far as retooling our websites, this would simply require a one-time "put all your external code into iWeb and make sure it works" overhaul.
    And I'm going to further speculate that the next version of iWeb may present us with many more desireable features....some that may make us want to abandon the way we do things now and possibly also abandon the very things that we strive to add to our sites today.... I'm thinking about more dynamic content with more user-interactivity. My point here is only that we might not mind the chance to overhaul our sites too much once we see the new features available to us.
    Maybe I'm hoping for too much, though. I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine.
