IWeb and Yahoo Small Business

So I reserved my domain name and paid for yahoo small business web hosting. I created my web pages using iWeb. I used file>publish and loaded the pages into a file on my desk top. That's where I'm stuck. I had been working on two separate sites. Both Site and Site1 were added as FOLDERS in my designated desktop folder. I then went to Yahoo Small business. It asked me to upload FILES. There are several files for each folder. Do I upload each one? Am I missing a step completely? Thanks.

It asks me for my server.
Yahoo provides you the info to put in the ftp forms: server, username, password, directory.
In terms of the previous reply in addition to the index file there are a number of other .html files and associated folders. Upload all of these??
You upload the folder that contains all of these, plus the index.html file which is outside that folder. The folder has the name you gave your site inside the iWeb app. So you really up load two items.

    1. Is it possible to access Yahoo Small Business's e-mail on my N97 using MfE (I am using it with normal Mailbox option in phone).
    2. If we can use what is the server name which I need to use for this application (It is not accepting pop.bizmail.yahoo.com).

  • Cannot access Yahoo Small Business email using Mail icon on main screen of IPad

Until recently I was able to access my Yahoo Small Business email using the main Email button on the home screen - along with my regular Yahoo email.  When i contacted Yahoo Small Business for help, the gentleman was unable to help.  He just gave me the link to setting up a Yahoo Account on Ipad.  My regular Yahoo mail works fine so this wasn't helpful.  He said that is all he can do.
I downloaded the Yahoo App and can access both email address from it, but it is less convenient.  This tells me it isn't a password issue.
    I have tried using:
    Incoming mail (POP3) server
    pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
    use SSl
    Port: 995
    Outgoing mial (SMTP) server
    smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
    use SSL
    Port 465 or 587
If anyone can send me the correct steps to set up my small business email so that I can access it via the main button (which I was able to do until recently!), I would appreciate it.    In addition, I access both via my Yahoo account on my laptop - no problem.  I am using an iPad 2 that was upgraded to Version 7.

    Hello there, Susangrillo.
It sounds like you've done a great job in troubleshooting and reaching out to your email service provider. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some steps to review to see if it helps with troubleshooting your mail issue:

  • Yahoo Small Business Email on MacBook Air

All of a sudden yesterday my Yahoo Small Business Email stopped working on Macbook Air.
Works fine on MacBook Pro, iPad 2 and iPhone 6.
Spent an hour with Yahoo Support. (My domain is hosted by Yahoo).
Does anyone have the same issue? It is (or was) a POP account. I deleted and added and deleted and added and deleted and added back.
    No luck. Running Yosemite 10.10.2.

FWIW....I did do searches for a couple of days to this problem. One suggested fix was use IMAP instead of POP. Didn't work.

  • I cannot configure yahoo small business after upgrading to Mavericks Help needed

    Hi Guys,
it is as simple as that:
I cannot configure yahoo small business after upgrading to Mavericks Help needed
    Thanks

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Yahoo Small Business

Will the iPhone work with a Yahoo Small Business email account. Will it push the email to the iPhone?
    Thanks
    Marc

    Actually it is this:
    Yahoo! Mail Personal Address?
Yahoo! Mail Personal Address lets you choose your own unique email address. Choose "[email protected]" if it's available, or get as creative as you want to be!
One inbox for all your mail
Email sent to your Personal Address is delivered right to your Yahoo! Mail inbox, or you can choose to filter it to a specific folder. (If you don't have a Yahoo! Mail account already, you can set one up in a snap.) When composing emails, you can choose which return address to use: your regular Yahoo! Mail address or your personal address
I wonder how this would work with the iPhone. I would love to get my persoanl domain email pushed to my phone.

  • Need version 3.5.2 as other versions of firefox do not work with yahoo small business website (as of last week).

I use yahoo site solution small business online web tools for 3 websites, they updated the tools and now I can't use their tools. They have told me that I need version 3.5.2 of Firefox and this will work with their site. I have tried to download off mac.oldapps.com but I can't get that version. I did try updating to the latest version of firefox and that doesn't fix the problem with yahoo site solution. Where can I get version 3.5.2?

If you are going to install an older version of Firefox 3.5.*, it would be best to try 3.5.13 which is the latest 3.5 version of Firefox and has the latest security fixes. This is available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Also see [[installing a previous version of Firefox]], which includes details of how to install any previous version of Firefox.

  • Warning: Palm OS Treos and Windows Small Business Server 2008

If you use a Treo smartphone with the Palm operating system, beware:  it does not work with Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2008.
Palm acknowledges this failure and has no intention of fixing it.
There are at least two problems:
    (1) You must turn off all email security on the Exchange mail server to sync with Treos.
    (2) AutoSync locks up the Palm each time it occurs, and must be turned off.
Here's the transcript of my chat w/tech support. After this, I spent a few hours on the phone and got the same answers.
    [12:35 AM] Gary says: Hello.
[12:35 AM] Handoff connection active (1/5140).
[12:35 AM] x says: Hi. Please see the question sent earlier.
[12:36 AM] Gary says: Could you please be more specific about the issue?
[12:37 AM] x says: Our Palms will not talk to Exchange Server 2007 unless all its security
features are turned off. This is a problem with Palm/VersaMail. When will it be corrected?
[12:38 AM] Gary says: Yes, that is true. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.
[12:38 AM] Gary says: I am very sorry to inform you that currently we do not have any information on this.
[12:39 AM] x says: Apology accepted and appreciated. But when will this be fixed?
[12:40 AM] Gary says: Unfortunately we do not have any sort of update on this. I suggest you to post the
    feedback in the Palm Website.
[12:41 AM] x says: Okay, next question:  Every AutoSync locks up the Palm, so we have to turn
AutoSync off. Do you intend to rectify this problem?
[12:42 AM] Gary says: I understand your concern. Is it happening with all the Palm devices?
    [12:42 AM] x says: Yes.
[12:43 AM] Gary says: Do you receive any error message before locking up the Treo?
    [12:43 AM] x says: No.
[12:46 AM] Gary says: Okay, as this happening with all the devices to me it looks like the issue should be
diagnosed closely to find the root cause. Was this happening with the Exchange Sever 2003?
    [12:46 AM] x says: No
[12:46 AM] Gary says: So, the AutoSync feature is Locking the device from the day you upgraded to the
    Exchange Sever 2007.
[12:46 AM] Gary says: Am I correct?
    [12:47 AM] x says: yes.
[12:48 AM] Gary says: Okay, as this is the issue related to the sync with the Exchange Server 2007 and the
AutoSync to find out the root cause I will escalate this issue to our escalation channel which is our Voice
    Support Team.
    [12:48 AM] Gary says:
I will provide you all the information and guide you in the correct direction to address this issue.
    [12:48 AM] Gary says:
I suggest you to get in touch with the Voice Support and I am sure they will fix the issue.
    [12:49 AM] Gary says:
I will provide you a Service Request, when contacting the Voice Support, provide this Service Request Id and you will get a free Technical Support.
[12:51 AM] Gary says: Please provide me your Last name, First name, complete address, phone number,Email address, date and place of purchase of device and serial number of the device to create a Service Request Number.
[12:51 AM] x says: Of course I provided all this when I logged in, but here it is again:....
[12:54 AM] Gary says: Thank you for providing all the information.I need 5 minutes to register the device and create a Service Request.
[12:55 AM] x says: Thanks for your help, and confirmation of the incomprehensible failure to support Exchange Server 2007.  We're this close to dumping these things if this is the kind of tech support Palm intends to provide.
[1:00 AM] Gary says: Thanks for staying on hold: I am sorry for the delay. I can understand the inconvenience you are facing.
[1:01 AM] Gary says: Based on the information you provided, I created a service request for you in our database.  The Service Request number is : 1-51558238041
[1:01 AM] x says: Will I get an email?
[1:01 AM] Gary says: Using this service request number, you need to contact our Voice Support department.  Voice Support Department number is 877-426-3777. Voice support will be available from  5:00AM to 9:00PM (PST) on weekdays and from 8am - 5pm PST on weekends. Please note down the above given Service Request Number and Voice Support Number or else you will lose this information once the chat session is closed.
[1:02 AM] Gary says: Yes, I will email this chat session to you.
[1:02 AM] Gary says: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Sprint)

The problem is the default security profile isn't compatible. You can go into the Power shell command line and remove the default activesync mailbox policy.

  • LMS 3.2 and Cisco Small Business Switches

    Hi there,
I'm currently using LMS 3.2 to monitor my network. We've recently purchsed a few of the Cisco Small Business Switches, the SF 300-24 model to be exact. They're considered 'managed switches' (tho thier CLI is terrible) and I would like to monitor them in CWLMS. My problem is that once I add it to CS, it doesn't resolve to anything, just sits there as a blue box with a question mark. I'm assuming this means that these devices are not (currently) supported by LMS 3.2 - do you know if that will change, or how I can go about managing this device with LMS 3.2?
    Thanks

Unfortunately that series of products is not supported in any version of LMS (or even Cisco Network Assistant - CNA).
Cisco provides the FindIt utility to manage them:

    Hope this helps.

  • Yahoo small business and Sitebuilder

Cannot get into Sitebuilder or website to update my website.
What has happened to these as it has coincided with migration to BT Mail
How can I get back into the yahoo and sitebuilder as all that happens is that links go round in circles to BT Mail email log in page for both yahoo and BT.
    Need assistance and resolution

Sorry Keith I just notice that you are a retail customer like myself and what I am after is BT Moderator or somebody from BT to tell me how to resolve the matter.
They have effectively broken their contract with me as they have just discontinued a service that I took out their service for and if that is gone I certainly have not problem in solving it by moving with my feet.
My colleague has lost two years of emails and after 4 useless and "attempted buck passing" phone calls with their agents in India the only solution now is to be back at the beginning with the UK Team.
There is a nasty smell about BT and its move and all the problems we are all having.......

  • Iweb ok for small business website???

Hi all : ) I have no html experience and was considering paying a pro to make me a website for my business project. Then I heard about Iweb: quick and easy, perfect! I got the program and been messing with it and it is a snap. However, I can't seem to come up with anything that makes me go WOW! Perhaps it due to my lack of creativity, experience, or limitations of the program, I am not sure.
So my question is do you think Iweb is appropriate for developing a professional looking website, and if so, where could I find some examples of business sites that were produced with Iweb? Or, should I go in another direction?
    Thanks!

PayPal is a great way to integrate secure payments into an iWeb site. That's the payment method that's used on http://iWebFAQ.com/PayPal. Adding PayPal to your iWeb site requires html file editing of your after Publishing. Fortunately there are many resources that will help you learn to integrate Paypal into your site. http://iWebUserSites.com is a comprehensive list of sites created with iWeb. Search through iWebUserSites.com and see what kind of business techniques/designs are included there.
    Good Luck :^)
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.

  • Iweb and yahoo hosting setup questions

using iweb to create my page, trying to upload to my yahoo host service and can't get anything but a 404 file not found message. i've published to another folder, uploaded the index.html file and included graphic file and still get nothing. any advice would be much appreciated. thanks in advance!

My only other question is - am I to delete the files yahoo created in my directory, leaving only my own uploaded files?
There should be no need to do that.
when i type in my site name it goes to a directory, and if i click on the folder i uploaded it looks all good.
Seeing the directory instead of your site right away normally means you did not upload the index.html file which iweb created alongside the folder which has the name you gave your site inside the iweb app.
