IWork trial purchase to AppStore

Hi,
I downloaded the trial version of iWork '09 and purchased a serial number a while ago. Is there a way of getting iWork through the AppStore? I do not want only updates through the AppStore (I read somewhere that this is done anyway). But for e.g. a clean system install, I want the 3 apps themselves to be listed in the AppStore so I can redownload them if needed.

Apple or somebody else has stored an old version of the trial, install it, give in my reg number.
You dont need to do that-you already have an installer file of iWork and a registration code when you purchased, just keep a hold of both of those items, and back them up fon a separate disc for safety.
Whereas the programs stored in my AppStore account need only a click to be installed. Thats what I want for my legal iWork copy too.
Apple keep your purchase records for up to 18 months - enough time for you to back up the installer and registration details for any future installation.
After this time you are expected to purchase another download, these are the conditions for all Apple downloaded products.

The trial is up and it says enter serial or put in the install disk if you have bought it
I install my purchased product - no joy still get the trial expired and buy or enter serial number box
The box that i works comes in has a sticker on it with numbers and a barcode but nothing that represents the serial number my macs asking for whn i start numbers !

It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This has changed with Snow Leopard. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user..

Trouble converting iWorks trial to full version

Background: I have a macbook pro, upon which I installed iWorks trial many months ago. I've only just gor around to attempting to click on the links provided to buy the full version. I suspect I'm running into difficulties because I've notice that support for the iWorks trial was withdrawn in April. I'm seemingly unable to upgrade to full version and am only seeing options to purchase Pages, Numbers etc., separately.
Question/concern: My question is whether or not I should uninstall the trial version (which I don't yet know how to do) and start over, than attempt to download these individual products, as I'm not sure whether this will interfere with what's already on my MacBook Pro. Any advice about this appreciated.

Easiest way to uninstall iWork is to use Yvan's script
You cannot completely delete iWork by moving the iWork '09 folder to the Trash. Instead, use Yvan Koenig's script:
          •          Go to http://www.box.com/s/00qnssoyeq2xvc22ra4k
          •          Choose public_YK > for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items
          •          Click on uninstall iWork '09.zip, decompress it, open it in AppleScript Editor and click the Run button
Then you can buy and download the application from the Mac App Store, if you have MAcOs 10.6.6 or newer.

Did the iWork trial, bought numbers but can't export the work i did in the original version of works

i used the trial version of iworks & wrote ou a spreadshet in it. After the 30 days had elapsed, i bought the current version of numbers & have since tried to email / copy sections or the full spreadsheet that i originally produced & it is refusing to export the data & asking me to purchase iwork. i only wanted numbers in the 1st place, do i now have to purchase iwork (including numbers again) to get at my spreadsheet?

No. You have to remove all traces of the iWork trial—the iWork folder and its contents, and several supporting files created by the iWork applications (but not the files created by you).
The easiest method of doing that is to download and run the AppleScript "uninstall iWork '09", availavle from Yvan Koenig's Box account. Click the link, then click For_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items> uninstall iWork '09.zip.
After the file is downloaded, locate it and double click the icon to unpack the zip file.
Open the folder that appears and double click the uninstall file inside. It will open in the Scipt Editor.
Click Run to run the script and delete the iWork trial and supporting files.
You will likely have to download and reinstall the Numbers '09 file from the Mac app store. As you have already purchased it, that download will be free.

Will installing the iWork trial affect existing Keynote install?

I bought Keynote from the Mac App Store, but I would like to try Pages before buying. I have Office for Mac 2011 installed on my machine, but I have grown tired of Microsoft not supporting it as much as the Windows equivalent. Keynote seems to fairly compatible, so I want to see if Pages is the same way.
So my question is: Will installing the iWork trial from Apple's website (I really just want Pages) affect my existing Keynote installation that originated in the Mac App Store? I really don't want to lose the license.

You'll always be able to re-download your MacAppStore purchase if necessary, no matter what happens with the trial.
When the trial expires, you'll have to delete it and all the .plist files associated with it, or it will plague you. Yvan Koenig has written a script that makes it easy to clear the machine of the iWork trial, without affecting any documents you have written.
At that point, if you find that you don't have Keynote, don't worry, just go to the MAS and download again.

IWork 06 purchase info? (different from forget its' question)

I only activated the trial about a month ago and loved the iWork experience.
But when asked to buy the software (as the trial has expired) I am taken to an iWork 08 purchase page... I dont want 08, I want 06
Is it still possible to obtain a serial number? Or even ever use iWork 06 Ever again????

There are two reasons I think buying '06 instead of '08 is a huge mistake: 1) Pages' HTML export feature is worse than awful. The fact that you can create great-looking documents with Pages lulls you into the misguided belief that your export will actually retain that effort. In reality, you'll spend three hours futzing around with a document, go to export it, then realize you just wasted a significant portion of your life you could have spent learning Esperanto; and 2) You'll be missing out on all the cool new features, additional app (Numbers), and better performance of iWork '08.

Had to uninstall iWork trial since I bought the pages app and it wouldn't let me print or save. Now the app store says I have pages installed but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it. I'm not very computer savvy and am getting frustrated!

I did that - but now I can't figure out how to re-install the pages app!! The app store says it's installed, but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it. OK Apple has stuffed up the demo version upgrade process so the first thing you need to do is get rid of the demo.
That includes getting rid of the files in the system.
The instructions how to do that are here:
Note That where you see / that is the sequence of folders, each nested inside each other.
User/Library/Preferences the com.apple.iwork.Keynote.plist
Means the User (you, the little home icon, whatever you are called on your computer) then the Library folder inside that and then the Preferences folder inside that.
Lion initially hides the System folders from you so you have to go to the Finder > Menu > hold down the option key and click on GO > Library to see it.

You can search Google, eBay, Amazon, and Craigslist to find an old version of iWork for a PPC Mac. Probably needs to be iWork 6 or earlier.

Clearly the message hasn't trickled down to Adobe support. After purchasing Captivate, and trying to register now I'm locked out of my accoun entirely-- including all my files on Creative Cloud!! I just spent a the better part of two hours dealing with this exact same issue as the orginial poster (creative cloud login issues... likely due to an old email address floating around).
