  • Protecting J2ee source code

    hi
    How I can protect my source code from a decompilation in a J2ee
    environment. I search a effective means for protecting the source code,
    and that is not a handicap in term of performances.
    I must to crypted the source code or to use an obfuscator (which is most
    effective)?
    regards

    In a J2EE environment, obfuscating your code should make sense only if you're a library or components developer, and you have to supply class files to your clients and don't want them to be able to reverse-engineer.
    If you do not supply libraries, your code is on the server, and you shouldn't need to obfuscate anything.
    Of course, if some intruder gets access to your server machine, the above does not hold anymore. However, I suspect that you'll have much bigger worries in this case than the mere possibility of the intruder decompiling your code....

  • How to download SUN J2EE source codes?

    Especially those Java source codes under the javax.ejb package.

    All the source code for both the javax.ejb API and the reference implementation itself are freely
    available through the Glassfish project. You can find more information here :

    How to get the source code of an HTML page in Text file Through J2EE?

    Huh? If you want something like your browser's "view source" command, simply use a URLConnection and read in the data from the URL in question. If the HTML page is instead locally on your machine, use a FileInputStream. There's no magic invovled either way.

    JLundan,
    I want to thank you for responding to the thread I started on the forum at java.sun.com. Your solution to my problem of needing to print the code of the html pages that the file I included generates was just what I was looking for. However, I have some further questions to ask, if you don't mind. To clarify my task I should say that your rephrasing of the problem is accurate: "You wan't to display the contents of the HTML file that the web server produces in response of client's request?"
    Yes, this is what I need to do, but also it needs to display the source code of that html file that the server produces in response to the client's request. Also, in this case, I am the client requesting that the server return some html file, and I'm not sure where the server is. But the webserver.java file that I shared on the forum is on my local machine. I was wondering if I could modify this webserver.java file at my home so that any html file the server returns to me would automatically display the source code. This is a school project of mine and I am stuck on this one thing here.
    Further, where would I put the "foo.html" file so it can be written to?
    FileOuputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("foo.html");
    fos.write(bytes);
    fos.close();
    Thanks so much for your help. I look forward to your response, at your convenience.
    Regards

  • Unable to depoly Web Serivce for the source code written in other editors

    Hi all,
    I am planning to implement webservice with the following code. But I am facing few problems with this can some body help me with this.
    The code looks like this AND IS NOT WRITTEN IN Jdeveloper BUT EDITPLUS
    package package1;
    public class Sum
    public int getSum(int a, int b)
              return a+b;
    package package2;
    public class Sub
    public int getSub(int a, int b)
              return a-b;
    package package3;
    import package1.*;
    import package2.*;
    public class Mul implements TestInterface
         Sum sm = new Sum();
         Sub sb = new Sub();
    public int getMul(int a, int b)
              return sm.getSum(a,b)*sb.getSub(a,b);
    public static void main(String [] args)
              Mul ml = new Mul();
              System.out.println(“The result of (3+6)*(3-6) is “+ ml.getMul(3,6));
    package package3;
    interface TestInterface extends java.rmi.Remote;
         public int getMul(int a, int b) throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
    I have written this in editplus. Not in Jdeveloper.
    Now I want publish getMul() as web service using Jdeveloper.
    I have created a new application work space. And from File-->New
    I have choose project from existing source and imported “package3”.
    At this stage it was unable to find the class files Sum and Sub so I placed Sum.class and Sub.class in Appliction1-Project1-classes-
    Now the Mul class did not have any errors and it compiled fine. When run it gave the correct output.
    Using the web service wizard I was able to generate wsdl file , deployment descriptors etc.
    The problem I was facing was form this stage when I am trying to deploy it on to a standalone oc4j server it is not able generate the WebServices.war file and hence is not deployed on to the server.
    With the same code written in Jdeveloper everything is working fine.
    My doubts are
    1)     why is it not able to generate WebService.war file?
    2)     It is giving some ClassNotFound exception during the deployment. But when compiled and run its giving the correct output.
    3)     Even when everything was written from within the Jdevelper it did not include Sum.calss and Sub.class in WebSevice.war. Is there any way we could mention during its (WebService.war) generation , the class files to be Included.
    The other issue is how to add an existing source code to already existing project. In my case Once I have imported package3 I also want to import package2 and package1 in different steps.
    I thank in advance for helping me.
    Raja Vamshi k Gopu

    Can you tell us what you mean by correct type of project?
    You can start with an empty project. Then, you have to create an "EAR file" deployment profile (New Gallery / General / Deployment Profiles).
    So when I deploy a J2SE module onto oc4j server should I specify the class path? If so where ? How can I solve this problem?
    Once you deploy your code into oc4j, it becomes a J2EE application. You don't need to deal with the classpath - just make sure that all the required code is included in your .war file. To do so, check the list of classes packaged under the deployement properties dialog.
    Can you send me the links of few articles where I can learn more about these kind of stuff?
    If you want to assemble applications without to use JDeveloper wizard, you have another option: using the WebServiceAssembler tool that is par of the oc4j bits will help you to do this from a command line promt, and will handle the J2EE packaging aspect for you.
    See online documentation (10.1.2): http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_04/web.htm
    In the "Developer's Guide", chapter 9 is about "Web Services Tools"
    For JDeveloper J2EE samples, you can start by looking at the OBE: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_as_1012/j2ee/index.html
    Hope this helps,
    Eric

  • Where to get the source code of the owa_cookie.send procedure?

    I want to know where you get the source code of the owa_cookie.send procedure? I can only get the header of this package from ...\RDBMS\ADMIN\pubcook.sql. Could you paste the whole source code here and then I can modify it to set the 'httponly' attribute? I also have a problem that after changing the package, how to use the package I changed? Does it still a system package here? Or it has been changed to an user-defined package in database and I need to execute the package on the database for the web server?
    Thank you!

  • Retrieve already deployed webdynpro for java source code from portal server

    HI ,
       We have webdynpro for java apllication already deployed on the J2EE server.  We found the ear file related to this application.  But I am not able to make any changes to the ear file in NWDS as it cannot be directly imported into NWDS.  We do not have NWDI for software logistics and the resource who built the WDJ application has left the company.  Is there any way that I can retrieve the complete source code of the application from the portal.  I need to make some changes to Webdynpro component and its view.  I have worked with basis team to retrieve the ear file from portal server.  But I could not make any progress just with the ear file.  Thank you for your help in advance
    Regards,
    KMM.

    You are probably breaking some license agreement by de-compiling the content of the 'war' files. Why not ask the people who provided the 'war' file if you could have the source and build system.

  • Java EE 5 Tutorial case study source code is AWOL

    I'm new to Java EE and am using the tutorial to bring myself up to speed. I have downloaded the file that contains all of the source code for the tutorial (by clicking the "Download" link from any page in the tutorial), but have noticed that the file does not contain the code for the case studies (chapters 37 and 38). Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the code for the case studies?
    Thanks!

    Nevermind!
    For some reason, clicking on the link to download the tutorial file while at work resulted in getting a previous version of the file (j2ee-5_0-beta-doc-tutorial.zip) that does not contain the case study code. When I downloaded the file at home, I got a file (javaee-5-doc-tutorial-1.0.zip) that contains the case study code.

  • Check out ESS source code

    Hi Experts,
    EP7.0 SP11 ESS1.0 ERP2005, NW2004s.
    NWDI is installed successfully and two tracks are created according to the NWDI cookbook for ESS. Development configuration is imported into NWDS. Here our NWDI DEV  system is used as local J2EE engine in NWDS for local test purposes.
    I also created a project under <b>InActive DCs</b> views in NWDS. In the web dynpro perspective I could see the source of the applications (ex. DC ess~ben). I have read in the forums to check out the source code. Here I do not see any option to check out!! where will I see the option?
    when a new project is created in Inactive Dcs view, it should ask for creating an activity, but this did not happen!! should i create a activity in DTR perspective?
    it seems to me i can make the changes in the inactive dcs and then activate them later and deploy into local j2ee engine (here NWDI DEV) for test purposes. Is it ok?
    Regards!

    Hi,
    WebDynpro should automatically check-out source files if you want to modify something.
    If you are not asked for an activity: Or you logged on? You didn't accitdentally check the checkbox "keep local for now" when creating a new DC? Or do you have an activity that is marked as default activity so the NWDS automatically added the files to that activity without an explicit dialog?
    Making changes, activating them later and deploying locally built (inactive) deployables into a local/test J2EE engine does make perfect sense to me. You are testing before you commit your changes and publish them to you colleagues (to switch language a bit). Sounds OK to me.
    Regards,
    Marc

  • Get the source code of CO -  WDCOApproval & NotificationCOwithAttachment

    HI, SDN Experts.
    I am trying to extend the functionality of the following standard GP Callable Objects, which are type of Web Dynpro applications (implementing GP interface) and library class:
    Text: Approval callable object
    Description: Approve or reject input data of the callable object
    Web Dynpro Component: com.sap.caf.eu.gp.ui.wdco.approval.WDCOApproval
    Web Dynpro Application: sap.com/cafeugpuiwdco
    And:
    Container Type:   Library
    Container:   cafeugp~actions
    Implementation Class Name:
    Implementation Name: Notification
    Implementation Description: Sends a notification to process contributors
    Where can I get the source code or the DC of these two components?
    Thanks for advise,
    KC

    AFAIK, you cannot get the source code of these DCs as they are a part of pre-delivered SAP standard content. However, you can find the WAR file corresponding to the DC that contains the WDCOApproval component under:
    \usr\sap\<Inst Name>\J<Inst No>\j2ee\cluster\apps\sap.com\cafeugpuiwdco\servlet_jsp\webdynpro\resources\sap.com\cafeugpuiwdco
    if you are using CE 7.1
    If required you may de-compile the class files corresponding to WDCOApprovalView.java, WDCOApproval.java, WDCOApprovalInterfaceCfg.java, WebDynproCOInterfaceView.java, WDCOApprovalInterface.java to understand how this component works.

  • Where to download Java Source Code of Libraries?

    I tried to look on to Downloads and Search but can't find it.
    Thank you very much in advance.

  • Lost the webdynpro application source code

    Hi Experts,
    We have some webdynpro applications. Presently running in Portal server.  One of the application is giving the error. we need to fix that issue. Since we don't have any NWDI system, One of  the application source code got corrupted, Kindly let me know is there any we can retrieve the  source from the deployed application or .ear file from Portal.
    Regards
    Vijay

    Hi Guru,
    I think it is not possible to get the whole project structure.
    But you can get the java files of your local DC project by logging into your portal using the url http://host_name:5000/nwa.
    Navigate to Analysis ->Configuration ->J2EE Configuration Browser . Click on Local System Node ->apps->sap.com. Under sap.com(or the domain you have defined namespace) you can find a u2018src.zipu2019 file. In this u2018srcu2019 folder you can find the java files.
    If the error has occurred in your project while modifying particular webdynpro file, then you can get the previous version of the file(file before the error occurred) by navigating to C:\Documents\SAP\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.resources\.history location in you local system. In history folder you can find all the versions of the webdynpro file which you were modifying till now.
    Thanks,
    Shilpa
