Jar file: log file is not created!

Hi, I create a log file with these instructions:
//logger
          FileHandler fh = new FileHandler(LOG_FILE,true); //append mode
          fh.setFormatter(new SimpleFormatter());
          logger = Logger.getLogger(this.getClass().getName());
          logger.addHandler(fh);It works well as long I execute it normally, but when I create a .jar file and put this logger class inside logger file is not created..how come?

Hi, I create a log file with these instructions:The code extract creates a Logger object, sure, but does that mean it creates a log file? The log file creation could be deferred until the first usage of the logger...
It works well as long I execute it normally,Let's clarify: do you mean, when executing from your IDE, or when executing via a command line?
but when I create a .jar file and put this logger class inside logger file is not created..how come?Let's clarify: do you mean, when you execute the same code packaged in a jar file?
The most likely issue is configuration: apparently the various ways in which you run your program use different logging configurations.

    But during phase "Export the Database" the file migration_monitor_cmd.properties have not created.
    i have modified the file "export_monitor_cmd.properties" as per our setup but after it when
    i am executing the file "export_monitor.sh" it gives the below error.
    [root@repbkp EXP]# sh export_monitor.sh
    The dbms_type environment variable is not defined.
    This environment variable is needed to run this program.

  • How to check the contents of Control file, Log file & Parameter file

    Can anybody help me how i can check the contents of Control file, Log file & Parameter file.
    Arif

    OK ...
    Parameter file:
    It will normally be in the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directopry. It could be aan init{sid}.ora or a spfile{sid}.ora ... do not edit an SPFILE as yu could corrupt it.
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14231/create.htm#sthref434
    If it's an init{sid}.ora, use any editor to see the actual content.
    If it's a spfile{sid}.ora, use one of V$PARAMETER, V$PARAMETER2, V$SYSTEM_PARAMETER, V$SYSTEM_PARAMETER2 as aappropriate (read the Reference manual to get an idea about when each is appropriate)
    Control File:
    You should not edit a control file. It consists of many areas, as described here http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14220/physical.htm#i10135 and each are is interrogated by V$views as given in the reference manual. Quit the application.
    Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
    Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
    If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

  • Sender file adapter with FCC not creating last field

    Hi,
    I've got the following file:
    field1;field2;field3
    FCC is the following:
    Recordset streucture: ITEM,*
    ITEM.fieldSeparator     ;
    ITEM.endSeparator     'nl'
    ITEM.fieldNames FIELD1,FIELD2,FIELD3
    ignoreRecordsetName     true
    I expect to generate the following XML:
    <FIELD1>field1</FIELD1>
    <FIELD2>field2</FIELD2>
    <FIELD3>field3</FIELD3>
    That's working OK. The problem is when I receive a file with the FIELD3 empty. Example:
    field1;;
    I expect:
    <FIELD1>field1</FIELD1>
    </FIELD2>
    </FIELD3>
    But I get:
    <FIELD1>field1</FIELD1>
    </FIELD2>
    And this raises an error during the mapping because the FIELD3 is mandatory in the Data Type definition, even it's empty

    I expect:
    <FIELD1>field1</FIELD1>
    </FIELD2>
    </FIELD3>
    But I get:
    <FIELD1>field1</FIELD1>
    </FIELD2>
    use a mapwithdefault in your mapping so that it will always create an empty node if there was no value to be mapped to the target field.

    Hi Babu,
    Thanks a lot for your input.
    Actually My requirement is this its file to Multiple idoc scenarios.
    Here I am getting flat file HeaderDetails and LinItemdetails. its having Multiple Headerdetail then Line Item Details, I want to create idoc  for each HeaderDetail and all the Next LineItemdetails should go to that IDoc.  If we can find some solution then it will also  work for me.
    For ex.
    My source would be
    FIle_DT>
    < HeaderDetail1>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </ HeaderDetail>
    <Linietemdetails11>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </Linietemdetails11>
    <Linietemdetails12>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </Linietemdetails12>
    < HeaderDetail2>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </ HeaderDetail>
    <Linietemdetails21>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </Linietemdetails21>
    <Linietemdetails22>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </Linietemdetails22>
    < HeaderDetail3>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </ HeaderDetail>
    <Linietemdetails31>
    <Field1>
    <Field2>
    </Linietemdetails>
    </File_DT>
    I want target structure like this .
    <Idoc>
    <HeaderDetail1>
    <LineItemdetail11>
    <LineItemdetail12>
    <LineItemdetail13>
    </Idoc>
    <Idoc>
    <HeaderDetail2>
    <LineItemdetail21>
    <LineItemdetail22>
    <LineItemdetail23>
    </Idoc>
    <Idoc>
    <HeaderDetail3>
    <LineItemdetail31>
    </Idoc>
    If anyway you can help me how to go and how to do this grouping then it would be really great for me.

    and to add: you're not following SAPs suggestions according to the installation guide.
    > D:\usr\sap\ERP\SYS\exe\run/R3load.exe: version R6.20/V1.2
    Kernel 6.20 is out of support already for a long time. You should get an updated installation CD with a 6.40 kernel.
    > DbSl Trace: Database instance erp is running on PAO with ORACLE version 9.2.0.1.0 since 20100131
    9.2.0.1 was never supported. If you read the installation you will notice, that you should install the database plus the latest patchset plus the latest interim patches before you continue with the installation.

  • Lockbox: Partial payment is not creating when processing Lockbox file

    Hello experts,
    I am processing the Lockbox EDI 823 file but it is not creating the partial payment instead of that it is creating the Residual. I already check my config OBAY and I have "Partial Payment" checked.
    MY business really doesnu2019t want to have original invoice cleared and create the new one in case of over/under payment outside the tolerance limit. Please let me know how I can resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Farooq

    Hi Hema,
    Is the SAP document is from the same company code, where the lockbox is configured or it is a different company code?
    If you have an user exit and if all the company codes having same document numbering, then the lockbox program may not able to pick up the correct invoice number, if you have the same invoice number in more than one company code. To my understanding, the lockbox program first tries to identify the customer based on MICR number and then see all the open invoice in that customer and if it finds a match it will apply or else it will post on account on that customer otherwise it will not process it.
    So, can you please check whether
    1. You have a valid MICR number in the customer master and if the same MICR number is available in the lockbox,  then the lockbox will identify customer and apply based on the invoice details available.
    2. If it is a new MICR number, then Lockbox program, should identify the customer through a SAP document, if there is a user exit, it will see whether that document is OPEN in any of the company codes and identifies the customer based on that.
    If any of these conflicts, then it may not able to process that check.
    Regards,
    Vijay

  • Libclntsh.so.1 file not created

    Slackware 3.6
    Using glibc2 as primary library
    When the install tries to create the database it can't find
    libclntsh.so.1 (or something like that). I did a find for this
    file and it is not created.
    I don't have networking set up because I'm using stand alone. I
    checked and LD_LIBRARY_PATH is created and exported correctly.
    Does anyone know what the problem might be?

    Have you checked you have libtcl[ver.no].so ? Its needed (at
    least on my system) to build the library during the install.
    (hint: try "locate libtcl")
    You'll need to visit www.scriptics.com or install from your
    distribution for this.

  • WebLogic 10.3.2.0 hanging at startup after "The server log file is opened."

    Hi,
    A WebLogic 10.3.2.0 server is hanging at startup. There are no error messages. The last command in the startup window is:
    "The server log file <log file dest> is opened. All server side log events will be written to this file."
    I think the next line should be:
    "Security initializing using security realm realm."
    Any ideas on what could be the issue? For instance what resources should be accessed at that point of time? There is sufficient space left on the (virtual machine) disk. The VM configured with 8GB memory. Could it be performance related still?

  • Implementation of file log

    I have a problem. I want to implement a file log, but I am not sure exactly how.
    The file log should be placed in a scrollpane and be updateable. If the program detects a new file, the file should appear in the log window. Each file shold be logged with filename, size etc. but also a small image representing the type of the file. It is also vital that the new files appears topmost in the file log. The file log should also not show more than a specified amount of files (about 100), older files should not appear in the log.
    Does anyone have some implementation advice for this? Table, Panels in a GridbagLayout, JEditorPane...?
    Thanks

    When you say "program detects a new file..." how exactly do you expect that two happen?
    There are two ways this can happen. One is that the OS notifies you when a new file is created/modified/deleted. As far as I know, java does not and without implementing some native code cannot receive updates like that. Number two is that you can periodically scan whatever directories you're interested in (or drive(s)) by calling File.list() on a File object that represents a directory and compare it to a copy you made earlier. In this case you've got to select things like what directories you're going to monitor, how often you're going to scan for changes, etc.

    here what we can do how reduced the log file size and how to control the log file size.
    please give me the answer  ASAP.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    In SQL Server, log truncation occurs automatically as follows:
    • Under the simple recovery model, after a checkpoint.
    • Under the full recovery model or bulk-logged recovery model, after a log backup, if a checkpoint has occurred since the previous backup.
    As Dan posted earlier, when we run the above code, we will get an integer value. The log_reuse_wait_desc value tells us why the transaction log space is not reused. You can refer to the article below to check the root cause.

  • Dynamic bad and Log file names!!

    Hi

    Hi
    I have the scenario like the data files would be passed as parameter to the mapping , and the mapping would have the premapping procedure which would change the file name in the external table definition. This works fine. But the one more issue I have is that, I would like to change the bad file,log file and discard file name also through this procedure. In other words, for each incoming data file I would like to create a bad ,log and disc file.So How do I accomplish in the present procedure which does the following alter table statement
    execute immediate 'alter table '||p_table_name||' location('''
    ||p_file_name||''')';
    Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Balaji
