Java 6, 10 produces a bug with overlapping images

Question

Hi,
I have a program which draws an image ontop of another image, using 6, 06 and 6, 07 it seems to work OK using 6, 10 it doesn't. I am not sure which version it stops working in though.
In 6, 06 and 6, 07 the image flashes but in 6, 10 it flashes for one second then disappears, dragging another window ontop of the image reveals it while you're dragging the window but it then disappears again.
This is the code:
gameGraphics.drawImage(aGraphics936, windowWidth / 2 - 127, 230, image);
public void drawImage(Graphics g, int x, int y, Image img) {
g.drawImage(img, x, y, this);
