Can't access JAVA plug-in download site

I need a JAVA plug-in installed to complete a shipping transaction on eBay that I have already been charged for.
EBay window will not let me automatically install the plug-in so I click on the manual install choice & navigate to the JAVA Free Java download buttom page.

Clicking the button gets a "The connection was reset..." & I cannot install the plug-in.

I have successfuly done this.
Change the converted html as per the instructions to point to another page.
Here is an example of the new html page you need to create:

I think the suggestion by JimHdk is fair simple. Most Internet services providing email offer a way to access email via a browser like Safari instead of using the Mail app. You start Safari, got to the webmail webpage, enter a user name and password and are provided with a list of waiting emails. Can't access FTP server to download tftp.exe file

I am trying to update the firmware on my WRT54GS v5 router. I had no problem downloading the firmware, but can't access the FTP site for the TFTP.EXE file. It won't work in IE or Firefox. I can't get it through my router, or wireless thorugh my neighbor's router.
What should I try?

Snow Leopard (10.6) isn't available as a download.
You buy it at the Apple Store and it ships on a DVD. Software update brings it to 10.6.8 which includes the App Store where you can download Mavericks for free.

Thanks, but I tried that and was directed to set up a new password which I did. But, it still wouldn't let me go to my existing Gmail. I was asked to set up Gmail account. I also tried accessing my Gmail from Yahoo. Failed. Someone suggested setting up another Gmail address so that when you logged on it would ask you which Gmail to open. This didn't work and only made the problem worse. Google Help is no help. I guess the only way to access Gmail is with my iPad, but it just isn't right!

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Can't open Java Plug-in 1.3.1_01 control panel

Click on the Java Plug-in icon, my cursor turns into an hour glass for a few seconds, a javaw.exe process starts on my Windows2000 Pro Task Manager, but the Java Control Panel never appears.
Also click on other java icons and the same thing happens (a javaw.exe process starts but not window appears).
Same thing happens with 1.4.1_01.
Any ideas on what could cause this?

It looks like the download center is giving very slow response. I connected successfully with IE and a direct connection to the Internet, but it took almost 4 minutes. I am in San Francisco with a high speed line, so I should get quick response. I tried with Mozilla inside the Sun firewall, and it timed out without conecting to the download center. I am continuing to investigate.

I cannot access certain web-sites from my computer. I am connected to the 'net via UK broadband.
If I try to access www.eBay.co.uk or www.bankcardservices.co.uk (one of my credit-card's site) I get an error: "Safari cant open the page... because it couldnt establish a secure connection to the server"
I am using an Apple iMac G5 running OSX 10.4.2. I normally use Safari to browse but i get the same errors with Explorer...

Sorry, the error message above was from the credit card site.
Ebay gets this error: "Safari cant open the page http://www.ebay.co.uk/ because the network connection was reset, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. You might be able to open the page later."

Where can I get Java SE 6 download directly?

I've recently purchased iMac and just found out that I need to download Java SE 6 to run some programs that requires it. I don't have an internet access at home so, I need a direct download of Java SE 6 for Mac OS X Lion 10.8.2 and donwload it on my laptop instead. I'm new to this so I don't know any deeper about Java SE.

The answer of Lanny is correct. Always download software directly from the developer's website, in this case Apple's.

Can't Install Java Plug-in for Firefox

I'm running Firefox 0.9.2 on Windows 98, and I've tried to install the Java VM but when I download the installer it only gives me the ability to install it in IE, which already has Java working.
It's quite annoying since it means that whenever I want to visit a site with a Java I have to switch to IE, and of course the reason I installed Firefox was so I wouldn't have to.
