Hi Mike,
Support for SAAJ was added in WLS 8.1, see:
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/webserv/interceptors.html#1058444
Can you try your code on the latest release?
Thanks,
Bruce

    Hello Gurus,
    Can you please help me with following issue--
    I have created a secured web service's client from netbeans 6.8.Then I made a jar file of it.Then I have integrated that jar in my ADF application's viewcontroller project .I have used the jar from backing bean of a jspx page.
    If I create a main method in the bean and call the service from inside main method then everything works fine but if i remove the main method and call the service from a button click of the jspx page then i get the following error.

    I ran into the same problem, using WebLogic 7.0, deploying a very simple web service
    derived from the hello world example from Web Services Developer's Pack 1.1.
    I tried removing META-INF/services/javax.xml.soap.MessageFactory from d:\WebLogic\weblogic700\server\lib\webservices.jar,
    that didn't help, I got the same stack trace. So I tried removing all META-INF/services/javax.xml.soap.MessageFactory
    entries from webservicesclient.jar, webserviceclient+ssl.jar and webserviceclient+ssl_pj.jar.
    That didn't help either.
    As a last resort, I tried not including any of the jwsdp supplied jars within
    my own application WAR, of course, that really didn't work since the web services
    end point expects a lot of classes from com.sun.xml.rpc.*
    I have to make my web service end point compatible with Tomcat, WebLogic and WebSphere.
    So, if I go with your first suggestion, "use WLS implementation of JAX-RPC",
    what do I have to do? Do I need to use WebLogic's servlet instead of Sun's?
    Thank you.

    You can either use WLS implementation of JAX-RPC or use
    the RI's impl of JAXM.
    For the former check out :
    http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs70/webserv/index.html
    and for the later:
    remove following entry from the weblogic jar file
    (webservices.jar or weblogic.jar)
    META-INF/services/javax.xml.soap.MessageFactory

  • Java.lang.Error: NIY

    I'm using WLS 8.1 SP2,
    I got java.lang.Error: NIY when I tried to call the getRoles() method of SOAPMessageContext in the handler class.
    Follow is a part of exception message
    java.lang.Error: NIY at weblogic.webservice.core.DefaultMessageContext.getRoles(DefaultMessageContext.java:56)
    Follow is a part of source code in the handler handleRequest method

    SOAPMessageContext messageContext = (SOAPMessageContext) mc;
    String roles[] = messageContext.getRoles();
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    The operating system is     Windows XP, Java is version 1.6.0_03 Sun Microsystems Inc.
    Today, I got another error report containing this error. They all seem to come from the same user. Given that the user is still using our product, I guess it doesn't happen every time. :) The error actually happens in a third party library that uses JNI, so it could also be possible that this library messes up something. Given that the error happens rather rarely and we haven't got much data, I guess it isn't worth investigating this further at the moment.

    Hi Binu,
    Unfortunately, deploying a web service created in WebLogic Workshop 8.1 to a WLS 9.1 server is unsupported.
    The only upgrade path available is to upgrade you 8.1 workshop webs services to a Workshop 9.2 web service and deploy to a workshop 9.2 server.
    You can do this with the current WLW 9.2 Beta.
    Also, this forum is primarily for the BEA Workshop Studio line of products. Please post all WLW 8.1 related questions only in the weblogic.developer.interest.workshop newsgroup at http://newsgroups.bea.com/bea/forum.jspa?forumID=2041&start=0

    from my experience, using weblogic jars can be a pain if the full install is not on the local box.
    Note that you dont have to 'install' it. Just copy the directory.
    Reason is that the jar files have manifests with relative classpaths.
    For an example of horror take a look at the weblogic.jar MANIFEST's classpath entry.

    we followed the README.txt instructions, and stop/start weblogic service before/after apply patch. Can anyone suggest a solution or Doc ID for helping us?
    thank you very much!

    Solutions: Bounce the applications and check the arguments if you can increase it.  It is due to memory issue
    You can set these values in CommEnv.sh (.cmd for windows) file located in the weblogic_home/common/bin directory.
    This gets applied to all the domains under that wls home.
    If you want to make the changes to specific domain then edit the SetDomainEnv.sh file located under the domain/bin directory.

  • Java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients.

    We have some web services that run under OC4J 10.1.3.4. We have various JEE 'client' apps (JSF, servlets etc.) that use these web services. These JEE apps also run under OC4J.
    We started a migration project from oc4j to weblogic 10.3.2. In phase 1 we want to move these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic. In phase 2 we want to move the web services themselves to weblogic with adjustments to the JEE 'client' apps as needed.
    However we ran into an issue during this phase 1. Deploying these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic results in an error like this:
    java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients. If you are attempting to run an OC4J 10.1.3 JAX-RPC client in WLS, please see the Web Service Migration Guide for instructions.
    We are including Oracle web services client libraries (http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/1013/wsclient_extended.zip) in these JEE 'client' apps's war files because weblogic does not have them.
    What part of Web Service Migration Guide is the above error message talking about? Do we have to re-generate the client side proxies for all these web services using weblogic's clientgen task in 'JAXRPC' mode? Many of these web services are doc/literal jax-rpc web services. Or does the migration guide recommend we migrate the web services first to weblogic? Any other specific information on working around this error message would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    I had the same issue but I just managed to fix it. You must upgrade and/or regenerate you proxy. This creates new classes (possibily in a new package) that you must use in your code. I had this error because the classes directory was not clean after the rebuild and the old classes (in the old package) were still present, so the compilation was successful with the old classes. So clean your classes directories, regenerate your proxy and use the new classes in your code.

    Sylvain

    The class the error message is referring to is defined with a SWC that my project links to. However, I've even tried to define a class with that same name (and location) within my project and it still fails to find it.
    Why am I able to Project->Clean and run this project within the desktop AIR player (or on the device in debug mode) but unable to export it as a release build?
    I have found a couple of threads mentioning a similar error but none of them have been marked as resolved.

    At this point I feel I am talking to myself, but I will share my work-around in case it helps another who may stumble across this post.
    In my particular case, both my main AIR application and my ANE wrapper library were referencing the same external Flex library (same revision). Both projects had the library linkage set to merge. Changing the linkage to "External" on one of the 2 libraries (it doesn't seem to matter which) and leaving the other as "Merged into code" enabled the export to complete without the bizarre "Unable to find named traits" error.

    This is my installation secuence
    1. Downloaded jdk 1.3.1 tarball for linux from www.java.sun.com & installed according
    with instrucctions.
    2. changed JAVA_HOME from /usr/lib/jre1.2.2/ to /usr/lib/jdk1.3.1/ in the startWebLogic
    script
    trying it I get:
    "Green threads support not available
    Could not create the Java virtual machine."
    3. changed JAVA_OPTIONS from -green to -native
    After that i got the error subject of this message (please see below)

    Thanks because JDK 1.3 is not supported with WLS 5.1. See:
    http://www.weblogic.com/platforms/index.html
    However, WLS 6.0 supports JDK 1.3 since the JDK is already bundled with WLS
    6.0.

  • Java.lang.error Undefined operation name CreateStore

    I was trying to call a WS client using a UI application. However upon calling the client, I hit this issue.
    Caused by: java.lang.Error: Undefined operation name CreateStore
    at client.inventory.webservice.ReferenceUim.getReferenceHTTPPort
    at client.inventory.ui.util.WSCaller.getReferencePort
    at caller.ui.inventorygroup.delegate.Delegate.assignStockWS
    at caller.ui.inventorygroup.delegate.Delegate.assignStock
    at caller.ui.inventorygroup.bean.Results.assignStock
    By the looks of it can be seen that the error was caused becaused the operation "CreateStore" not exists in my client. However:
    It does exists
    I did not call "CreateStore" from the UI instead I was calling "AssignStock" operation as you can see from the error trace.
    Both operations are present in my WSDL.
    <wsdl:operation name="AssignStock">
    <wsdl:input message="invws:AssignStock"/>
    <wsdl:output message="invws:AssignStock"/>
    <wsdl:fault name="InventoryFault" message="invws:InventoryFault"/>
    </wsdl:operation>
    <wsdl:operation name="CreateStore">
    <wsdl:documentation>This operation is used to create store </wsdl:documentation>
    <wsdl:input message="invws:CreateStoreRequest" />
    <wsdl:output message="invws:CreateStoreResponse" />
    <wsdl:fault name="InventoryFault" message="invws:InventoryFault" />
    </wsdl:operation>
    Can help please to advise what was wrong on this case? Please let me know if I did not post enough information.
