Java.sql.PreparedStatement.setArray( ) not found in J2SE v1.3.1?
Why do I get the error method setArray(int, Array) not found in interface java.sql.PreparedStatement? As per on-line documentation the method is available since version 1.2.
In JDeveloper help I have read that...
"JDeveloper uses J2SE definitions to describe an installed J2SE environment. This environment can be either a JRE (Java Runtime Engine) or an SDK. Note that if you are using a JRE, some features may not be available. Every JDeveloper project uses a J2SE definition to determine what version of the Java API to compile and run with."
Is my problem because my JDeveloper installation is using a JRE and not an SDK?
Sounds like a SQL problem. Not an expert in DB2 bu you might want to try INSERT INTO SESSION (col1name, col2name) VALUES (?,?);

It looks like the JCE file which you have downloaded is not the correct one. As you can see some jar files are missing. Check JCE files.
Check SAP Note 1240081 - "Java Cryptography Extension Jurisdiction Policy" files

SQL-text from java.sql.PreparedStatement ?
If I have a java.sql.PreparedStatement object,
is it somehow possible from that object to retrieve the last SQL-text statement that was executed or that it was associated with?I should add that if you're prepared to investigate "manually" then you can poke around in the driver as it does its thing using a debugger. You may well be able to find the string that way, but it's entirely dependent upon the driver implementation.
Note that because a prepared statement typically represents a compiled object on the server end of the connection, there's no absolute requirement for it to retain this information at all - an identifier value will do just as well! -
Java.sql.PreparedStatement#setUnicodeStream deprecated
Hi all!
The method setUnicodeStream of java.sql.PreparedStatement is set to deprecated without any comment since at least J2SE 1.3.1. Does anybody know what's the reason? Is there any alternative?
Thanks in advance
CarstenI've got a java.sql.date that I need to put into a
calendar object. I was planning to use
Calendar.set(date.getYear(), date.getMonth(),
date.getDay()) but these methods are all deprecated
now. Do I have to do date.toString() first, then
parse out each value? This seems like a waste to me.
btw - we use java.sql.date for our DB dates.What about Calendar.setTime(Date date)? -
SQL Error 130, not found in ERROR.SQL file.
Dear All,
While connecting my application with Oracle Release 9.2.0.8.0 I am having the following error message would any one help in this regard please?
SQL Error 130, not found in ERROR.SQL file
Thanks
GQHow is this connection being made?
Is it Oracle Forms, SQL*Plus, Java, .NET, JDBC etc?
The error message doesn't look like a standard ORA-XXXXX oracle error so I would suggest the message relates to the application trying to make the connection. -

Are you using wli process control?
That uses wsdl and could cause the issue.
I also saw couple of internal bugs CR264315 and CR288904 on the same issue on 9.2.
Since this is a wli issue could you post in the wli newsgroup to get more answers http://forums.bea.com/forum.jspa?forumID=2047 ?
Also you can open a BEA support case at http://support.bea.com and an wli support engineer would help you. Please refer to the Cr numbers above in your support case.

Java.rmi.RemoteException: newServlets not found
I am developing a java servlet using J2EE 1.4 RI.
I have developed a new application called newServlets.ear. This application has a web component named Servlet1. When I click on Tools, Deploy I get the following error:

The J2EE RI Verifier produces no failed tests or warnings.
I have no idea what is causing this. Each time this happens, the Command Prompt window that is running J2ee server displays the message:
Stop recieved
I have tried stopping and restarting both the j2ee server and deploytool, but this has not fixed the problem.
In my servlet, I would like to take information that has been entered into an HTML text field and add it to a MS Access database. I have the following code in my servlet to load the driver:
final String pathConnection="jdbc:odbc:"+dataBase;
con = null;
String driverName="sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver";
try{
try{
Class.forName(driverName);
System.out.println("OK");
catch (ClassNotFoundException e)
System.out.println(" ERROR : driver not found");
e.printStackTrace();
}//end inner try/catch
System.out.println("Drivers (DriverManager.getDrivers()) :");
con = DriverManager.getConnection(pathConnection, "", "");
}//end outer try block
catch (Exception e)
e.printStackTrace();
}//end outer catch
The following code is being used to enter the data into the database:
try {
stmt = con.prepareStatement(
"INSERT INTO User (emailAddress, passWord) VALUES (?, ?)");
stmt.setString(1, emAddress);
stmt.setString(2, passWord);
stmt.executeUpdate();
catch (SQLException e) {
System.err.println(e);

Is it possible that something in the code above is causing the problem??
Please help!!

I'm having a similar problem trying to deploy an EJB on the j2ee 1.4 ri. It appears to be some sort of JMX problem. I suspect it has something to do with having a wrong value somewhere in the sun-j2ee-ri.xml descriptor, but I haven't figured it out yet. If you have, can you let me know what you did to fix it?

A few questions:
- What OS is Siebel running on?
- What version of the Siebel connector are you using?
- Which libdnd.so file are you using?
- What's the contents of your dnd.parms file?
thanks,

Java.lang.AssertionError: WSDL not found
Hi,
I am trying to run a process project in my Weblogic server. However, the deploy is failing with a "java.lang.AssertionError: WSDL not found in the class file" error message. But my process does not contain any WSDL file, nor uses any external webservices at all. It uses RPC to connect to a mainframe program. The class where the RPC definition resides is packed in a jar file, and the references are correct.
The environment is Workshop 9.2.1.
Does anyone have any clue about this issue? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

I've been attempting to develop test classes using the PowerMock and Mockito mock frameworks
I've developed the tests in Eclipse in windows XP (64 bit) and the tests run to completion with passes
One of the classes being tested references the joda-time-1.4.jar and this jar contains the resource org/joda/time/tz/data/ZoneInfoMap
I then attempted to migrate the development to running the unit tests in a Windows XP command prompt launched by Maven 2 (mvn)
I get test errors, but the nature of the error depends where I set my JAVA_HOME
a) if I set my JAVA_HOME to a standard Sun JDK (C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.5.0_21), then I get the resource not found error for one test only - here is an extract from the exception:
Running com.visaeu.rcs.application.cas.parser.RCSInternalTCR8HelperTest

b) if I set my JAVA_HOME to an IBM JDK (C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\SDP70\jdk), then I get NoClassDefFoundError for any test that attempts to create a mock - here is an extract from the exception:
testBindSampleData(com.visaeu.rcs.application.cas.parser.RCSInternalTCR8HelperTest) Time elapsed: 0 sec <<< ERROR!

Finally, running the tests on a unix host under the AIX OS launched with Maven 2 (mvn), I get the Resource not found: "org/joda/time/tz/data/ZoneInfoMap" error
None of these errors occur when running the tests in Eclipse, so there must be a different environment
I've not been able to track it down, so if anyone can throw any light or offer a solution, that would be much appreciated

Java.sql.SQLException: Could not generate the DTD because..
I am trying to reverse an XML file and running into the following exception:
java.sql.SQLException: Could not generate the DTD because the file could not be created. Verify that you have write permission in the directory.
I have permission to the directory, so I suspect something else is causing this. I saw in another thread that file name length sometimes caused this. I tried that approach and it did not help.
I am trying to get data from an oracle table and put it in an XML file using an interface.
I have my interface set to use an oracle source table and an XML target. My LKM is SQL to SQL and my IKM is SQL Control Append. I have staging area different from target set.
My model (for the XML file) has technology set to XML, uses the SnpsXML jdbc driver and I use the following parameters in my file path: f, d, s, dp. This tests successfully.
I am trying reverse the xml file using standard reverse.
I am running this on a remote agent.
I am using ODI 10.1.3.5.5
Thank you for any help you can provide me.
Edited by: user13279807 on Oct 19, 2010 11:44 AMThe exact error message I recieved was the following:
The Technology or the Driver used does not support Reverse Engineering.
java.sql.SQLException: Could not generate the DTD because the file could not be created. Verify that you have write permission in the directory.
Details:
java.sql.SQLException: Could not generate the DTD because the file could not be created. Verify that you have write permission in the directory.
