Java "Syntax" should be a main button.

So I really like the idea of the new syntax and such, but I think it's annoying that 1.  I have to go to "advanced" reply to use "Java" syntax, and just having to click and scroll to it can be annoying(even though it takes 10 seconds.as it
ImO I loved being able to do {code}{code} as it was fast and easy, so something like that would be cool, or just having the little Java button on top.  Is tables really more important than Java Syntax on a Java forum?
Thanks for the forum!

For a radio button group called 'frequency' where the value binding is
1 - weekly
2 - bi-weekly
3 - monthly
4 - annual
you could add the following client-side JavaScript to the 'frequency' change event.
var frequency = form1.subform1.frequency.rawValue;
switch (frequency) {
case "1":
form1.subform1.annual.rawValue = form1.subform1.pay.rawValue * 52;
break;
case "2":
form1.subform1.annual.rawValue = form1.subform1.pay.rawValue * 26;
break;
case "3":
form1.subform1.annual.rawValue = form1.subform1.pay.rawValue * 12;
break;
case "4":
form1.subform1.annual.rawValue = form1.subform1.pay.rawValue * 1;
break;
default:
break;

    In general, classes with main method should be called from command prompt (that's the reason for main method). Remove the main method, put the class in a package and import the apckage in your jsp (java classes should not be in the location as jsps).
    When you import the package in jsp, then you can instantiate the class and use any of it's methods or call the statis methods directly:
    <%
    spServiceInd spsi = new spServiceInd();
    spsi.SubmitMsg();
    %>

  • Java platform and Java Deployment should be updated but there is no other version, always the warning to update but thats not possible

    Java Platform 7u9 and Java Deployment Kit plug-ins are yellow and asked to be updated.
    The problem is that there is no other version than I have already installed.
    Even if I try to instal this latest version again I've get the message that I already have the latest version.
    The same problem was with Flashplayer where I installed the latest version but three days Firefox asked to update the plugin.
    The last one is now ok but Java Platform and Java Deployment Kit is hopeless.
    Why it ask for an update if there is none?
    What should or can I do? I always be careful and patch my pc if necesserry.
    All my friends who are working with Firefox have the same problem.
    Can anybody tell me whats going on here?
    greetings, Mimi321

    Hi
    There is still an issue for me. When i check to see if add-ons are up to date it identifies "Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U9" as out-of-date and gives me an orange "Update" action. When i hit this it takes me to the Java website giving me "Recommended Version 7 Update 9". This is the one i've already got so i cannot get rid of the orange Update action buttons.
    Furthermore, if i try the link earlier in this thread to test to see which version of Java i should be using it says "Congratulations! You have the recommended Java installed (Version 7 Update 9)" so i'm not sure what this talk of version 7.10 is about?

  • Should we use main method in JCO

    1/
    Should we use main method in JCO.. Connections does not seem to be simple java programes... so why should we use them??? just for the sake of running the programme?
    2/ And the below mentiond programme.. there is nothing called Connect1. Still the that class is created ..
    do not you thik it has to be <b>TutorialConnect1</b> object and constructor,
    import com.sap.mw.jco.*;
    public class TutorialConnect1 extends Object {
       JCO.Client mConnection;
       public Connect1() {

                "<userid>", // userid
                "****", // password
                null, // language
                "<hostname>", // application server host name
                "00"); // system number
           mConnection.connect();
           System.out.println(mConnection.getAttributes());
           mConnection.disconnect();
        catch (Exception ex) {
          ex.printStackTrace();
          System.exit(1);
      public static void main (String args[]) {
        Connect1 app = new Connect1();

    Hi
    The main method is used in the learning stages to know how the program is executing.In real time scenarios we do not use the main method.If you use a main method it is just like a stand alone program to know the basics.
    In your program the class name and constructor name is different
    Make sure both are same or otherwise create an object with default constructor given by jvm and then call a method
    Thanks

  • Cancel- and main-button dynamically generated using JSP-pages

    Maybe a HOWTO for the Jdev-team.
    HOWTO get rid of the delete and main-button in your jsp-pages?
    Very simple!
    Go to the container_bottom.jsp page in your webapp/jsp-folder and delete the code for the cancel-button => now the user can render his own buttons by using a header.html, contents.jsp and footer.html for the jsp-pages.

    We tried the same thing you are trying to do and got
    very far, but it quickly became very complicated. We
    realized it was just simpler to use the screenflow as
    intended.
    By this I mean, if your parent form has 4 buttons
    (A,B, C and SUBMIT), you should design different
    paths in your screen flow for each button. so when a
    user clicks button A, the parent form submits back to
    Fuego engine, engine looks at screenflow and send
    them down the button A path to the Form A. When they
    hit submit on Form A, screenflow goes back to parent
    form.Hi, bcespinola:
    Our team finally decide use jsp with YUI (Yahoo User Interface Library) to achieve this design. Wish this could help you. All popup window would be replaced by Dialog of YUI. Thanks for your help.

  • Why the JavaFX syntax not closer to the Java syntax?

    I wonder why the JavaFX syntax is not closer to Java syntax than it is now?
    For example why
    public function myFunction(param: Integer): String[]
    is not simply
    public String[] myFunction(Integer param)
    After all in JavaFX there is also the word Java :)

    Somehow, I am more "shocked" by the usage of "script" name for JavaFX programs, since we don't really script an application (original sense of the word).It's certainly possible to have a long discussion about whether JavaFX Script is or is not a "scripting language". Unlike other scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript and Python come to mind, but there are many other possibilities) JavaFX Script is not interpreted directly nor is it dynamically typed. However, several features of the language do make JavaFX Script convenient for casual programming. For example, for simple programs it's not necessary to declare the types of variables, as they can (usually) be inferred by the compiler. Also, it's possible to code statements (really, expressions) "loose" in a plain file, without verbose class declarations. For example, "Hello, world!" in Java looks something like:
    public class Hello {
        public static void main() {
            System.out.println("Hello, world!");
    }whereas the equivalent in JavaFX Script is simply:
    println("Hello, world!")For larger JavaFX Script programs one usually has to add import lines and class declarations, which do tend to lead away from the "scripty" feel of the language. Nonetheless I find JavaFX Script considerably more concise than Java and, well, the authors wanted to call it a scripting language, so there it is.
    One other thing I learned recently is that to put something on the screen, it's not necessary to wrap your scene graph objects in a Stage and a Scene. If the last expression in the script is a Node, the runtime automatically provides a Stage and a Scene for you. So something like:
    import javafx.scene.paint.*;
    import javafx.scene.shape.*;
    Rectangle {
        x: 50 y: 30 width: 100 height: 40 fill: Color.DODGERBLUE
    }will work.

    My Main button on my iphone 4 for getting back to everything is not working, what should I do?

    You are referring to the Home button, right?
    1. Restart phone
    2. If still not working, there is a hardware problem. Take it to Apple or an Apple authorized service provider.

    You and your partner might have different browsers, different versions of the same browser, or most likely a fervent version of the PDF plug-in.
    See if just clicking on the Enter key sends the form in.

  • New improvement for Java syntax

    Hi developers
    I develop in java each day and the new project that I am envolved uses too much multithreading. So i thought that a litle improvement could be made on java syntax.
    When two threads uses the same class attribute we must synchronize the access to this.
    class myClass {
    private int myAtribute = 0;
    thread1: We must access the attribute synchronized....
    shynchronized (this) {
    myAttribute = 1;
    thread2: The same....
    synchronized (this) {
    myAttribute = 3;
    thread2: But if i don't care.... :-(
    myAttribute = 4;
    Ok, that is the problem.
    I thought to solve this the java language must give us the chance to declare attributes in the way...
    private synchronize int myAttribute = 0;
    to be only accesed by sinchronized methods or by synchronized blocks in order to force interpreter to check if any method access this attribute without being synchronized in compiling time.

    In your example, wouldn't the volatile keyword normally suffice?
    private volatile int myAttribute = 0;Graeme

  • Hello, my main button has stopped working .. how do I make it work again?

    Hello,
    my main button has stopped working.. how do I make it work again?
    thank you

    Try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.
    There's more to try but let's go a bit at a time.
