Java VM Version & Date for JDev 3.0

Hi,
I skimmed through the document: "JDeveloper 3.0 Oracle Business
Components for Java Technical White Paper" and could not find out
which version of the VM 3.0 is going to support.
2 questions:
- 1: Which version of the JVM?
- 2: General availability date?
Thanks,
Frank

    Hi All,
    I need the following information:
    1.       What is the Java Runtime version required for SAP GUI version 6.2 for Windows (Platform Windows XP)?
    2.       And is there any problem if we use Java runtime version 1.6 on PC?
It would be great if anybody can provide the information on the above.

To run SAP GUI for WIndows -- Java isnt a pre-requisite nor is there any dependency for the same.

  • Java patched version in jnlp

hello.. I want to ensure that my app users work with a certain java version
I know the <j2se version="1.6+"/> tag in the jnlp file but... what if wanted to ensure a java patched version.. for example 1.6u35 ?
    greetings
    jedo

I think that can be done. See the resources link off this page. http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/javaws/developersguide/contents.html
I know this is the Java 7 docs, but do not think that is changed in 7.

  • Java 1.4.2_03 Windows: The configuration data for this product is corrupt.

Trying to install j2SE 1.4.2_03 JRE on a Windows system (exact version needed for a bussiness application) after all previous Java installations have been deleted and all Windows Registry Java related keys have been manually deleted with Regedit.exe.
The EXE installer works properly in other machines but in this one it stops after a few seconds with the following message:
"The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel".
The problem is related to the Windows install mechanism rather than the Java installer itself and likely caused by the manual Registry deletion.
The error code is 1610: ERROR_BAD_CONFIGURATION.
Reinstalling Windows didn't fix the problem.
Unable to recover the system to a previous state with the System Recovery Tool (Accesories/System Tools).
Other versions of Java installers fail the same way and show the same message.
I don't know how to contact "my support personnel" nor who they are.
I'd appreciate any help about this problem or what Java installers need within the Registry to work or a clue of any kind.

Sorry for the duplicated message. It's my first post and I messed up a little with the right section.
A new downloaded copy of the file or other versions of Java failed to install with the same error message.
I've learned there is a product ID in the registry that must be present for the installer to run. I'm searching for this "mysterious" product ID and how to set the right Windows XP Registry entry for the JSE 1.4.2_03 version.
I'm still not sure this will fix the problem.
    Thanks for replying.

  • Setting create date for versioned documents

    Hi,
I'm trying to explicitly set the create date for a versioned document (as in, the versions for the document), using the Content DB java API.
What I'm trying to do is basically this (pseudo-code):
    - Create an unversioned document (the folders do not have auto-version turned on) with the create date explicitly set. This works fine.
    - Make it versioned
    - Check it out, upload a new version with the create date set, check it back in
It is at the last step where I seem to have problems -- the act of checking a file back in seems to reset the create date to be the date of checkin rather than the date I set.
Is there any way of accomplishing what I'm trying to do?
    Thanks,
    Phill

    Hello,
why so complicated? You can do all in one ;)
    Check this out:
How to upload file to Conetent database and remain the creating date
In the end its like this:
    Item verTest = fileM.createDocument(
    new NamedValue[] {
    ClientUtils.newNamedValue(Attributes.CREATE_DATE, olddate)

  • Version Control for Oracle Reports and Java

    Hi
I have a Reports and Java development enviroment and I need version control for both. In JDeveloper there is only support for CVS and SVN. Does report have support for CVS and SVN?. What can I choose to offer Java and Reports version control?
    Regards,
    Néstor Boscán

    Hello,
You might find neXtep Designer helpful, depending on what you need. It is a free database development environment based on the concept of version control. You will work in a dedicated version control repository in which you can import any existing database through reverse synchronization. Once imported, you will gain control over the lifecycle of your database model all along your developments. The tool will generate SQL scripts resulting from the delta between any 2 versions, allowing you to automate SQL generation. It also provide a delivery mechanism and an installer program which can automate deployment of the changes on a target database.
The product is based on the Eclipse platform and provides features like graphical data model, dependency management, SQL clients, powerful SQL editors for stored code development and currently supports Oracle, MySql and PostgreSql. You will find more information here :
    http://www.nextep-softwares.com
Also have a look at the WIKI for more detailed information about the product, the concepts and the reasons why we created neXtep.
    Hope this helps,
    Christophe

  • Sentinel SDK support for Java JDK Version 7

    According to Oracle:
"Java SE 6 End of Public Updates
After February 2013, Oracle will no longer post updates of Java SE 6 to
its public download sites. Existing Java SE 6 downloads already posted
as of February 2013 will remain accessible in the Java Archive on Oracle
Technology Network. Developers and end-users are encouraged to update to
the most recent Java SE versions. "
When will the Sentinel SDK be compatible with Java 7?
There are security concerns with having out-of-date Java versions on
    systems.

I would consider it compatible as of right now. I've used it under
Java 7 reliably for the last 6-9 months, and have not run into any
problems with it to date. If you do run into any problems, feel
welcome to open an issue with NTS and we can look into it.

  • Release date for next version of Forms?

Has anyone heard of a release date for the next version of Forms (10.1.2.0.2 or whatever it will be)? I may be starting a major Forms project shortly and I'd like to use the most current version of Forms with the current Application Server.

We are looking at mid summer this year. Depending on your start times it may be as well starting on 10g (9.0.4) as there is a long support cycle for it.

  • Download SAP NetWeaver 2004 Java Trial Version for Windows

    Hi there,
I'm currently working on a project where I need to develop with EP 6.0. For testing my development I wanted to download the SAP NetWeaver 2004 Java Trial Version from
    [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d058ab2c-e206-2a10-47b7-c05df8a3ae76]
But the files doesn't seem to exist on the server anymore. Has anyone an idea where to find these download files?
    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi Parsman,
You only need SAPGui to logon to ABAP instance...
If you installed a Java Instance.. you need to logon using your browser... URL is in the manual.
    For the J2EE engine page,
    http://<hostname_with_fqdn>:500<instance_number>
    If there a portal installed,
    http://<hostname_with_fqdn>:500<instance_number>/irj/portal
All this info is contained in the installation guide.
    Regards
    Juan

  • Machine Specs for installing SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java Trial version.

    Hi,
can we install SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java Trial on windows x64 OS/machine or all the trail versions work only on 32 bit OS/machine?
I tried installing SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java Trial it on my laptop (Win XP 32 bit) and on a Server (Win 2003 server x64 bit), it failed.
Is SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java Trial version specifies any particular configuration on which it will work perfectly fine without any issues?
your help would be highly appreaciated.
    thanks,

    Only work with 32bits
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Java Trial Version System Requirements
