JavaFX Applet with User having JavaFX

So I have built a JavaFX applet. It's a simple graph of an xml file. I have it embbed nicely on a webpage, but I am having an issue running it on random computers that may not have JavaFX and that I can't installe javaFX on(school computers, company computers etc.)
Is there a way to have a JavaFX applet on a website, and not require the user to have JavaFX?

A JavaFX applet deployed in a browser must have Java, a JavaFX runtime, a browser and the JavaFX browser plugin installed.
If the computers don't have Java or JavaFX installed, then (as long as the system will meets the minimum requirements for the runtime), the JavaFX applet deployment toolkit will provide instructions to the user for installing the right version of Java or JavaFX on their machine to run your application. The user must follow these instructions to be able to use your application. Further information is available here: http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/deployment/deployment_toolkit.htm
If the user of the computer is unable (or does not want to) install software on the machine, e.g. the machine is in a library and the user does not have administration rights for software installs on the machine, then the user will be unable to use your application on that machine.

I have a user who has folders being created in their account without their interaction. There are no filter rules in place and junk mail is turned off. One of the folders was named Junk and
set up as a subfolder in the inbox and that was where internal email was being sent. Other folders s a problem on our Exchange server but don't know where to look. Any advice?

Does the issue happen in OWA? Please check whether their is any Inbox rule setting there. And the folder may be created by other users who have related permission to this mailbox or folder. Please check it.

Launching a JWS-based applet with dynamic parameters

Hi all,
is it possibile to return a jnlp content for an applet with session-related parameters in a dynamic manner through cgi?
I've got a cgi program which authenticates the user and, after some forms, launches an applet passing some parameters to it (a "userid" and others user-specific).
This works, but now I'd like to use JWS.
So From:
cgi --> html applet with user-specific parms --> browser
I'd need something like:
cgi --> jnlp with html applet with user-specific parms --> browser
Any idea?

Write the cgi in a way that it does not only check the user permissions but that also, if successful, prints out a html page that includes a link to a freshly generated jnlp file, generated by that cgi script just after authorization was
successful.
You can put command line args in a jnlp, so generate those parts of the jnlp according to your demands.

1.You may have 2 applets and 2 html files. One applet with one html file may stay at a client PC and run on this PC, and the other applet with the other html file may stay at a server PC and run on this PC. In this case, all the applets are run locally.
2.Could applets works with sockets, RMI and J2EE?

The scenario you paint doesn't quite make sense. The "server PC" wouldn't be running an applet, normally, since applets are by definition in a web browser page, and most likely involve user interaction, and "server processes" generally are done without user interaction.
The security rules around applets are that -- by default -- applets can connect with sockets ONLY to the server from whence the applet was loaded. RMI uses sockets (J2EE is too broad a spec) and hence RMI calls would also be limited to the server from whence the applet was loaded. Within that limitation, an applet could open all the sockets it wants, so long as they are all on the server from whence the applet was loaded.
If you want two applets on two different systems to communicate with each other, the simplest way is to have them rendevous through a server process on the server(s) from whence each applet was loaded. Maybe it's PC-a <-> server-a <-> server-b <-> PC-b ...? Or maybe PC-a and PC-b both are talking to the same server.
The limitation is rooted in the security subsystem. You can specify a policy file and override anything in the security subsystem. That does mean signing the applet and then cajoling the user into agreeing to grant greater levels of security than the default. In such a case you can open sockets more broadly and then PC-a could talk directly to PC-b without going through any servers.

Basically the OS is telling you that it has lost the ability to write data to the printer. This would typically be caused by some sort of corruption in the CUPS printing system.
The first thing I would try is Restting the print system and re-adding the printer.
To do this open System Preferences and then Open Print & Fax. Then <control> click or right click on the blank space around the list of printers on the left hand side. You should see a pop up menu and the option to Reset print system.
Once you select that the OS will restore the CUPS printing system to all the original default settings. Thsi will of course erase all of your print queues.
Once that is done I would reboot the Macintosh and the printer. Then go back to System Preferences--> Print & Fax and then re-add the printer.

I have a query regarding JRE 1.4.2_03. What does it have, which makes it differ from JRE 1.4.1_02 ? Actually, I am asking this question, because I have a signed JApplet where, user's select a file displayed in client JApplet's JTable and stores it to the specified location on his/her local drive. The JApplet runs perfectly well running in IE 6.0 with JRE 1.4.1_02. But, gives error on IE 6.0 with JRE 1.4.2_03.
Any help regarding the same will be helpful...
I tried a Signed applet with no GUI in it which runs well on JRE 1.4.2_03.
Both the applets are signed with jdk1.1.6.

How to create the file on a location where user having rights?

I have requirement, in my application a lot program thatcreating a report in a file and it is written into a user location. Now it specified directly like ( c:\ or d:\......).
The problem is that the user doesn't have rights to access that directories. What i suggest or feel i want to create that particular reports on a location where the end user having rights.
Basically in Windows system %userprofiles% having right to do anyting. Suppose the OS installed in C: the %userprofiles% c:\documents and settings\username or D: then D:\Document and settings\username.
How to achieve this please help me.

The best practice would be to create the file in My Documents for the current connected user to the windows.
Unfortunately, you did not mention your forms version. In older version like 6.x there is function in d2kwutil library called Read_Registry in win_api_environment section and in latest versions the same function availble in webutil library with client_ name.
So, you can read the registery for current connected user by using the above mentioned function from the following path of registry.
My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
There is an entry called Personal. Read the path from that entry at runtime while generating/saving file to the client's location and save the file into that path.

Not able to run the job with user id - is

Hello experts,
We have problem.
Every day we run the job.
( the job contians two programs called ZTIBCOPRG and J_5HJSTP )).
I would like to know why the above job is running with the user ID TIBCOADM. Because this user has German settings for the size conversion in program ZTIBCOPRG and we are having some issues.
We changed the user to TIBCOUSA and the job would not run.
We have changed the user back to TIBCOADM. It is running.
KINDLY HELP ME WITH YOUR VALUABLE inputs. YOUR HELP WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
I have checked for both users in AGR_USERS table.
The AGR_USERS is the old user and have many roles compared to userid TIBCOUSA.
WHERE WE NEED TO SEE . IS it authorisation problem or the other user with whom unable to run the job ?
or is this the error in the program ZTIBCOPRG which is not able to do size conversion and causing some issues.

after running the job with user id TIBCOUSA, it should be in cancelled state as per your comments.
you just select the cancelled job and type JDBG in command box and enter it takes you to Debug mode.
There you may get some information where it is failing.

App-V 5.0 SP2 RDS Client with hotfix 2 breaks frequently on Windows 2012R2 with User Profile Disks enabled

Hi All,
I am at my wit's end trying to troubleshoot this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
We are having serious stability issues with App-V 5.0 SP2 RDS in our environment with User Profile Disks enabled.
We have applied the latest hotfix but the issues persist.
The main problems are:
1. Periodically the client seems to become corrupted and all applications stop working for all users. All applications including the official Microsoft Office 2013 ones - not just our packages.
The symptoms are the same as if I change the App-V Client Service account to run under a user account instead of SYSTEM, so it suggests a file access issue. The log files also hint at this, and one of there errors is similar to this:
The virtual application 'C:\Users\rds.user9\AppData\Local\Microsoft\AppV\Client\Integration\A3EF9C01-C0E9-4AC5-B21F-DB9B1D2F700C\Root\Mindjet\MindManager 14\MindManager.exe' could not be started because the
App-V Subsystem 'Virtual Filesystem' could not be initialized. {error: 0x6740090A-0x20003}
Once this problem occurs the only way I have found to fix it is to either completely remove and reinstall the client, or (perhaps this is the big clue) rename the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppV\MAV\Configuration\Volumes , unpublish
an application, then republish said application.
I don't even think it matters which application gets published. The point seems to be that this 'Volumes' key gets rewritten.
I am highly suspicious that our issues are caused by User Profile disks in our RDS environment, as when I disable them on our staging collection all of these issues seem to disappear.
I have made sure all of the servers have permissions on the share (folder and share permissions). It doesn't seem to make a difference.
2. Some application fail completely with User Profile Disks enabled. If we switch the setting from "Store all settings and data on the user profile disk" to "Store Only the following folders" there seems to be some improvement,
in that at least one application that fails on the other setting starts to work.
3. We have already set that NTFS 8 dot 3 reg fix some time ago.
SOS!
We have gone live this week (not my call) and this is having disasterous consequences. :(

I did try this a while ago without success, although it may be worth revisiting with SP2 applied.
I have left this client now.
I left them a Powershell script that deletes HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppV\MAV\Configuration\Volumes
and triggers an Unpublish/Publish of an application we have deployed to all of the servers.
This seems to work, but a fix would be better than a workaround.
Not really my problem now though - I did my best.

I am trying to boot the application server, but the operation fails with the error message:

I installed the database with the setup program and come to think of it, I don't think you can specify whether to create a system or demo database. So I probably didn't install a demo, which is what I wanted. I also ran the SQRs and everything showed the database was correct, so I thought I did it right.
If I could install a demo with the setup program, I would do that because I think I could run through it pretty quickly having done it once. I've read in this forum and other places that it's much better to install the db manually, so maybe I'll just do that.

Java 7: Problems launching applets with jars on "file://" location

We are experiencing a problem when updating our client's JRE from Java6 U 21 up to Java7 U 55.
We have developed an Applet which is composed by several JAR files. Some of those JARs must be stored in local drive, and the JAR with the main Java class is stored on server.
Let's supose we have a similar scenario like this:

The code of test.html:

This code works fine on Java 6 and Applet is correctly loaded.
However, with Java 7 a security exception is raised when trying to load JAR files from "file:///" location during Applet launch:
java.lang.SecurityException: Permission denied: file:/C:/foo.jar
    at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2Manager._loadJarFiles(Unknown Source)
We have tried several tests using a java.policy file which grants all possible permisions:
grant codeBase "file:/C:/foo.jar" {
    permission java.security.AllPermission;
grant {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
We also tried to low Java's security level to "MEDIUM", with no success.
We finally only managed to run the Applet if we explicity disable the "Next-Generation Plugin" with Internet Explorer 8. However, that's not a suitable solution, and still does not work with Mozilla family browsers.
Eventhought with Mozilla browsers is still not working.
Is there any restrictions in Java 7 that prevents to read jars from being loaded from local drive when launching Applets?

I had read the whole message before posting mine. It's not the same problem. I'm able to run the sample signed applet always having the jar in the same location than the HTML page serving the applet via JNLP:

However, the security exception raises when trying to read that jar from local drive:

I have even tried to decompile JNLP2Manager class, without seeing anything useful on that loadJarFiles method
The only way I managed to avoid the problem is unchecking the New Generation Plugin and running the Applet with IE. Not a suitable solution for me at all..

How to know that User having Authorizations to which Tcodes?

How can I Find that an User having the authorization to which transations?
SUIM will show me the all transation where the user having authorizations.
But my requirment is, say i will enter 10 T-Codes, then the program should check these T-Codes against with SUIM and show me the result of these 10 T-Codes which the user having the permission.
Is there any standard program to do this? or I need to write a custom program?

I dont think there is any way through which you can give a list of t-codes and the system will come up with whether the user has authorization to exexute some or all of them or not.
The best way as per me is to goto suim-> transactions->executable for users.
Give the user name and download the list of transactions in an excel file . And finally apply v-lookup with your list of tcodes.

Problem when making new connection with user "sys"

How to make an applet load user-defined package?

How to have an applet load user-defined package?
I have packages in their own directories, and the applet compiles and links with them, by use of CLASSPATH env variable. But when it comes time to run, it ignores that and does not know where the classes (in the packages) are.
If I don't use packages and put all code in one directory, runs fine. If I use an application, I can link with and load my packages.
I know applets can't use things like CLASSPATH for security reasons, but still, they should be able to be compiled out of several packages, why do I have to put all code together??

OK, for reference for future newbies, here's the answer:
use CODEBASE attribute in your html file (if on Windows server, don't use drive letter but relative path to .html file, Unix style, and put all your .class files beneath that, for example, in your .html file

Would it be good if we call that applet only once and modify the applet to show 3 panels?

what matters most is how u want to have ur web page ...
if you have 3 different applets then you can place them in a position according to ur wish ...
if it is one then all of them will be together ...
