JBO-25003: Applicaiton module instance Error

Hi Experts,
Currently i am facing the following challenging issue.
JBO-25003: Object application module name ApplicationModule is not found error.
Can anyone explain me what is actually causing this.
Here is the current project design,
1) we have application module and have view object instance and some object are huge hierarchy (have view links)
2) One bounded taskflow has multiple page fragments and there data binding pointing to the application module.
3) In between some times we are calling stored procedure and if that is the case we do call view object refresh(REFRESH_WITH_DB_ONLY_IF_UNCHANGED | REFRESH_CONTAINEES); and make sure the server model updates.
4) When i click the application module "commit" i am hitting the above error. ( it is not always; some times ; cannot find the solid test case too)
Hope you expert help me to spot the issue.
Thanks

I try to debug it. It seems the underlying error is
<DCErrorHandlerImpl> <reportException> oracle.jbo.TxnValException: JBO-27023: Failed to validate all rows in a transaction.
oracle.jbo.server.DBTransactionImpl.validate(DBTransactionImpl.java:4563)
oracle.adf.model.bc4j.DCJboDataControl.validate(DCJboDataControl.java:1595)
oracle.adf.model.binding.DCBindingContainer.validateReferredDataControls(DCBindingContainer.java:4418)
oracle.adf.model.binding.DCBindingContainer.validateInputValues(DCBindingContainer.java:4337)
oracle.adf.model.binding.DCBindingContainer.validate(DCBindingContainer.java:4269)
oracle.adf.controller.v2.lifecycle.PageLifecycleImpl.validateModelUpdates(PageLifecyc
But i don't know how to check the Entity row.
Any hint pls

    Any idea why this exception thrown ? Is this because of weblogic server connections cleanup or something to do with connections?  As per my understanding , JDBC connection will not be released when AM is active/managed mode.  Oracle Doc says
    " That application module instance holds onto the JDBC connection object that it acquired from the pool until the application module instance is removed from the application module pool."

    jbo.ampool.maxinactiveage is set to 20 min which means that If AM in the pool is inactive for 20 min then clean this AM in the next cycle (still that is not our case).  We also set jbo.recyclethreshold="50" means 50 AMs can exists in the pool with managed-state. We set these because of performance reasons.  As per my understanding, AM instance will be deleted (????) but in any action on the UI will pick up another instance of the AM because datacontrolframe is still valid in the session.  Do we have any best practice like jbo.ampool.maxinactiveage should be equal to session time out?. The error seems AM lost the underlying JDBC connection and somehow application is using that stale AM ?. what will be possible reason?.

  • Error Code JBO-25003

    Hi,
    Jdevloper Version used : 11.1.1.4.0
    Requirement: Creating dynamic ViewObject at runtime and Loading the data inthe tabe using for each statement. Dynamic ViewObject Creation will be based on the programmatic ViewObject used in the Screen. This dynamic ViewObject should get created on button action.
    Method: By Using "CreateViewObjectforDef", dynamic ViewObject getting created. Neccessary Iterator Entry for this vo is there in the page def.
    issue: While loading the screen, iam getting the error as JBO-25003 Saying that "Object DynamicVO of type View Object not found". but when clicking the neccessary for displaying this VO it is working. Sorting too working.
    if iam create dummy viewobject with this viewObject name before loading the screen, iam not getting this error. but sorting is not working. Error is getting displayed as "Attribute of type XXX is not found in the viewObject".
    Any solution would be appreciated.
    reg,
    bakkia

    The basic point here is that, when you run a page, as part of model initialization for the page, run time may tries to access the VO(execution will be deferred though). In your current implmn AM::findViewObject('DynamicHistoryVO') returns null which may result in the exception you are seeing.
    Two possibilities
    1. Decide a default History VO based on your business use case
    2. Defer the VO execution till user clicks on the History by moving the pop up content as a bounded task flow(use 'run as dialog' option to invoke task flow). Let the taskflow's init method build VO based on the input parameters

    Hi,
    Can you try to open perfmon and add above counters to see if they are there?
    In addition, please also try to manually create the collection rule of OpsMgr DW Synchronization Module object and check the performance counters.

  • JBO-25003 View Object Not Found

    Hi,
    I am facing a very strange issue. I have a VO defined in my application. I have 2 projects in my application. When i drag and drop one of the fields from this VO on to the pages in these projects, i dont see any issue in one of the projects. However, when i do the same on the other page, i am getting JBO-25003 error.
    When i delete this second project and rebuild from scratch and then drag and drop the VO, it is working fine. I cannot do this because i have lot of validations already built on this page.
    somehow the VO is not recognized on the second page and i dont see any issue with the way i am dropping the VO because when i rebuild the project freshly, its workign fine.
    Please help at the earliest.
    Thanks,
    Lakshmi.

    Hello,
    We are facing the exact same issue. We're using JDev 11.1.1.5.0. We can reproduce it:
    - Create an Entity based on a table, accept all defaults
    - Create a View based on that entity, select all attributes, accept all defaults
    - Add View to Application Module
    - Create a new page
    - Drag and drop newly created View Instance to the page
    - Run the page
    In JDev, everything works as expected: BC Tester runs perfectly, page shows table with correct columns, page definition is linked correctly, View Instance is linked correctly... Yet when we run the page, we get a "oracle.jbo.NoObjException: JBO-25003: Object NewTestVO of type View Object is not found." error.
    This is pretty annoying as we can't start from scratch and we have no idea what is causing this error.
    Any help is appreciated!
    Stijn.

  • Application pool unable to check out application module instance in TOMCAT!

    Hi,
    I am able to run my bc4j application (WITH jsp CLIENTS) in JDEVELOPER just fine. But when I deploy it to TOMCAT, it gives me an error :
    "oracle.jbo.common.ampool.ApplicationPoolException: JBO-3003: The application pool WoopsBC4J.WoopsBC4JModule, failed to check out an application module instance"
    Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
    I have successfully deployed the sample ONLINEORDERS application to TOMCAT without any problem but this application somehow refuses to work.
    Is there anyone who encountered similar problems?
    Regards

    This is a deployment problem. You either do not have all the JARS/JSPs/properties files deployed onto the webserver or they are not found in the classpath (wrapper classpath for apache).
    Since this is very webserver specific it is difficult to be more specific.

    Hi !
    I am working with OA framework 9i ARU4 (11.5.10 RUP4) and tried to run /oracle/apps/cs/charges/newreport/webui/ChargesReportPG from JDeveloper. I've copied $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/cs to myclasses and $CS_TOP/mds to myprojects according to guidelines. after that I have created an OA Workspace with an OA Project and added the page to the project. The project I have updated with a valid connection and a valid dbc file (I have already tested these with the tutorial project in the toolbox Workspace). The user i've used is the same I used to run the tutorial project... (is that right?). The only thing that is in the project is the page since I wanted to run the satandard page first... I wanted to test some personalizations and I thought I didn't need add packages to the project in that case...
    When I run the seeded page I get following error stack. It is in swedish because we the customer runs with swedish translations:

    Hola Federico!
    Suerte!

    Hi Federico!
    This is the answer to your question about what is missing in server.xml file:
    Well, I cannot tell what is missing in your version of that file but if you list the files in the "server" folder and review the contents of server.xml file you may see that the folder has files like SomeNameVO.xml, SomeNameAM.xml, SomeNameImp.class, someNameVL.xml, etc.
    server.xml file in its turn should have listed as "containee" entries all these objects that you find in server.xml (not .class or .java that is) in order to list the correct content of the BC package.
    If you see that some object (listed in the folder) is not included in your version of server.xml file, put it there while JDeveloper is closed and try again opening your workspace/project after editing server.xml file.
    Good luck!

  • Alert subscription data source module encountered errors while running

    Hello All,
    After I configured subscriptions with many monitors, error alerts appear at SCOM(scom 2012 r2) console in active alert page.
    I googled it and found some topics at TechNet but I could not figure it out. Alert description is shown below
    Alert subscription data source module encountered errors while running: Alert subscription data source module was unable to find alerts that match the subscription because of database errors.
    The following error(s) were encountered:
    Exception Message: The incoming request has too many parameters. The server supports a maximum of 2100 parameters. Reduce the number of parameters and resend the request.
    One or more workflows were affected by this.

     Any idea?
    Thanks

    As I understand, this issue occurs and remains after I configure a subscription with too many rules and/or monitors( i.e al available rule and/or monitor of a management pack).
    After I had deleted those subscription with many rule/monitor, this issue was resolved.
    Any idea?

    Hi,    We recently started getting these errors a couple times a day.   There are 12 of them in total.     We also have exactly 12 subscriptions.   Does this indicate some db issue causing all of these
    to fail?

  • One Application Module Instance Per User

    Hi, I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2 with ADF BC.
    I have an application with a single root application module. I have my JDBC data source set up to enable identity based connection pooling so that a database connection is created with the current user's credentials.
    Basically, I would like an application module pool such that a single application module instance exists for each user in the system. If a user logs into the system, a new app module should be instantiated for him (tied to his db credentials). If the user makes a new request and his app module has been removed from the pool for inactivity, a new app module should be instantiated even if others already exist in the pool for other users. If the user is already logged into the system and tries to login again in another browser window, I would like to check if an app module already exists in the pool for the user and re-use that one instead of instantiating a new one.
    I don't want to set jbo.doconnectionpooling=true because I want the app module instance to keep its cached data.
    Is this possible? If so, how could I configure the application module to make this work?

    Hi Frank. Thank you for the reply.
    I tried using two browsers. The behavior of each page is very much different when being opened individually. Its like the two pages is sharing the same iterator / data and / or entity object. These two pages were opened to see if one is dependent upon the other. But when I test the same scenario on a different computer, everything works out fine.
    Is there a way for me to verify if the sessions are different? and if they are different, is there a way to verify if the application module created a new instance for the other session?

  • JBO-25200: Application module is not connected to a database

    Using JDev 9.0.3.
    I am receiving the following error when running my app through JDevloper's embedded OC4J:
    JBO-25200: Application module is not connected to a database.
    The error is happening when I execute the following line(s) of code:
    // holds the ViewObject RowSet
    RowSet accessTypeRS = PersonalInfoForm.getAccessTypeRS();
    if (accessTypeRS != null) {
    if (accessTypeRS.getEstimatedRowCount() > 0) {
    accessTypeRS.setRangeSize(-1);
    I receive the error when trying to execute the setRangeSize method. However, several prior attempts caused the error at the line above (getEstimatedRowCount)
    I am using connection pooling with a datasource and I'm retrieving an application module through the app module pool.
    jbo.doconnectionpooling is set to true.
    Disconnect ApplicationModule upon release is checked.
    Any ideas on why and how this is happening?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Please post test steps using the BC4J tester or a test script that illustrates the issue against a simple table. Otherwise, it is extremeley difficult to debug/diagnose the issue on this forum.
    I have not seen this issue in any of the automated unit test scripts that exercise the ApplicationModule pooling.
    Thanks,

  • Device instance error, vista can't see media card

    hello,
    I have a pearl 8110, with desktop 6 and vista.  After upgrading to version 6 I get this device instance error and specifically can't load any media onto the memory card via usb.
    USB\VID_0FCA&PID_8001\5&3100FCC1&0&5
    been through the forums for months tracking this down on how to clear it.  Downloaded the calfix.exe program as that was the only clue that related to the 8001 error, ran it and nothing, did not work.  Fix was for versions 4.7 to ver 5.
    I can sync, load and upgrade BB software without any problems, tried two different memory card manufacturers, formatted card, pulled battery so many time don't ask me to do it again.  mass storage mode is on, but software keeps telling me to turn it on even though its already on, been on since day one!  Everything works via bluetooth, pictures, video, mp3, but windows just can't see the memory card.
    Also went through the computer management to loocate the drive, but no luck?
    Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix?

    Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
    Are you attempting the format or looking at the Media Card from the BB WHILE you are plugged to the USB?
    Unplug and try it all again.

  • Accessing application module instances directly from the AMPool

    Hi!
    I´m want to create an Application Module Pool Monitor, actually I need to know how many fetched rows an Application Module instance has.
    I made a jsp, that do the following:
    ApplicationPool pool = (ApplicationPool)poolMgr.getResourcePool(poolname);
    int instanceCount = pool.getInstanceCount();
    for (int i = 0; i < instanceCount; i++){
    ApplicationModule am = pool.getInstance(i);
    and then works with the am instances, calculating the rows that each VO has fetched.
    Now, It is not yet clear to me if, when I use "pool.getInstance(i)",
    I'm locking the instance that is being use by another session (an user session), or trying to get a lock,
    and possibly creating a deadlock. Or the AMPool administrates the lock and I don´t need to worry about it.
    Thank in advance, and sorry for my bad english!
    (i forgot to mention, I´m using adf - bc 10.1.2 )

    Sure, we are having RAM problems, sometimes, and for reasons that are still unclear, a process begins to consume memory.
    What we need rigth now, is a tool that tell us how many rows in memory has each user, and which ViewObject is creating them. The idea is to make some kind of monitor that shows that, the AM that each user has, an the state of their VOs.
    I used the JSP in this page as a reference:
    http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2004/05/10/gettingApplicationModulePoolStatisticsToAidWithSizeTuning.html
    I´m not trying to create a new AM management mechanism, simply a tool that shows the status of the application (and perhaps allows me, for instance, to clear the cache of a VO that has to many rows fetched).
    In my JSP I obtain an instance of the AMs using "pool.getInstance(i)", and access then the associated VOs. But I don´t know if accesing the AMs this way could create problems with users that have an AM assigned to them, for example, a deadlock.
    Thanks!
