JBoss 4.0.4 GA and Axis 2.0

Dear all,
Does Axis 2.0 support Jboss 4.0.4 GA?
I have a wsdl importing a xsd file.
I tried wstools of JBoss 4.0.4 GA, wscompile of JWSDP utility to generate both the server and client side interface and its implementations but am having problems creating the interfaces as required.
Has anyone worked on xsd having simpletype which has restriction element?

Well...Axis Data binding, doesnt support the extenstion or restriction of Simple Elements. One would say, ADB doesnt implement all of the XML schema, rather it is 80-20 implementation...

    Hi,
I am using jboss 4.2, java5.0 and Fedora Linux Enterprise Version 4.0 with kernel 2.6 and NPTL 2.3.4
I am using open source network chart generation API provided by geosoft ( http://geosoft.no/graphics/). This API generates chart into swing window.
I wrote the code to change this swing window into web browser compatible jpeg image. I used thread to generate the image. It is working fine, for one user and no other processes running on the application.
ISSUE:- When more than 5 users hit the application at the same time, some images get generated, some donot, there is no fixed trend to this image generation process.
I analyzed CPU timing, it is using 100% CPU and after the images are generated / not generated, the CU usage goes down to zero.
When I used the same code with Linux 9.0 (kernel 2.4, NPTL 0.6), rest remain the same, it is working perfectly fine with more than 10 users, with all images being generated within 30 secs
Can somebody help me out to figure out whether it is a kernel issue / NPTL issue? Does it have something to do with thread processing?

  • Client application and axis communication

Hello all, here is my problem.
I used axis to generated webservices stubs and skeletons from wsdl. I deployed the webservices using TomCat.
Now I want to make a client application (CA) that can invoke the deployed services (no problem for that), but also get callback or event notification.
I'm beginner in axis and TomCat. Is there a way for my CA and axis to share the same context? Is there a notion of object references in axis or Tomcat?
    Thanks

  • JDK 1.5 and Axis 1.2.1 Issue

I am facing the following problem with JRE 1.5.0_5 runtime and Axis 1.2.1 when running an application compiled with JDK 1.4.2_04
When the very first class from Axis is accessed within the application, an exception is thrown as below:
class "org.apache.axis.utils.Messages"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package
However when using JRE 1.4.2_04 runtime this problem doesnt occur. Using "jarsigner" the jars were verified successfully.
    Please help.

One should not fiddle with sun.* classes and there should be no need for this either. What do you exactly need?

  • How to use JMS with tomcat and Axis

    Hello
I'm new in ii, so i'm still a little bit lost. I have been implementing web services with tomcat and Axis. However, these services are synchronous and I would like that some services were asynchronous.
I've been reading about the topic and I've found that JMS is a good solution for it. I have already downloaded JMS in my computer but now I don't know what else to do. I've been trying to run the SimpleQueueSender.java example but I get the error:
JNDI API lookup failed: javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name in environment or system property, or as an applet parameter, or in an application resource file: java.naming.factory.initial
But I have attached all .jar from F:\Sun\MessageQueue\lib
In addition to this, for my first webservices I used the Java2WSDL, WSDL2Java and AdminClient (axis tool) to create my web services bindings, stubs and skeletons and to deploy the web service on the server. Do I have to use them now with JMS? or now the deployment must be performed in a different way?
    Thank you in advanced,

The error means that you have to specify the type and location of your jndi store. You could create a jndi.properties file and put two properties in it:
    java.naming.provider.url=file\\\:////var/jndi
    java.naming.factory.initial=com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory
for a file based jndi store. Then you have to make sure your jndi.properties file is in your CLASSPATH. Then you have to use something like imqadmin to create your jndi store and store in it your administrative objects like Queues and QueueConnectionFactories.

  • BIP11g chart formatting font size at Title Llabel and Axis

We have recently migrated from 10g to 11g,
and we noticed that after migration the graphs have many differences.
specially with the font size at Title , label and axis.
Even though we have specified font size , it always seems to take its own font size.
Some times the font are very very small.
We also tried autoLayout="AL_NEVER" but it also dont work,
not only that the with autoLayout="AL_NEVER, the graph moves very close to the title.
How can we force the font size right for Title , label and axis.
    Thanks,

    Hi Nickleback,
There is a function to manage the Word and Excell Legend Font Size:

  • Third Party API with Tomcat and Axis

I'm experimenting with creating web services in Java. I'm using tomcat and axis for this. I have successfully created and deployed some basic web services and now I want to create one using a 3rd party API. I follow the same exact procedure and when I deploy the service I check my list of deployed services through the axis page, but all my services have disappearred. Commenting out all 3rd party related methods does successfully deploy the service. Is there anything special/extra I have to do to get 3rd Party classes to function correctly in a web service?
    Thanks in advance

what kind of third party API are using ?

If you're using Tomcat, JARs in the /common/lib directory are available to all applications deployed on that instance of Tomcat.
I prefer putting them in the WEB-INF/lib of my web app, even if that means duplication. That way my app doesn't depend on having the server set up a certain way. I deploy them as a WAR file with everything they need enclosed within,no more and no less. They're completely portable to any servlet/J2EE engine that way.

  • About jdbc and axis

    hello..!
I want to learn webservices using java and MySql. can anybody tell me how can I set up jdbc connection in my w/s? I am using tomcat and axis.
    Thank you.

Axis and JDBC aren't really related technologies. Learn how to write a JDBC program. Learn how to write an Axis program. Er... that's it.

Thanks Steve for response. But I don't see anything that could help me out in that blog.
I think it's a bug or something similar.becasue te application y deployed without problems and I can see the index page that Axis generates. If I put my ear file into another container like tomcat or resin, the applications runs without any problem.

  • WebLogic Server 8.1 and Axis 1.2: LinkageError qname?

I am trying to run Axis 1.2 inside WebLogic. It runs fine on JBoss, but I am getting strange errors in WebLogic 8.1 SP6.
Happyaxis validation seems to be ok, but as soon as a WSDL needs to be generated I get the following exception: weblogic LinkageError loader constraints violated when linking javax.xml.namespace.QName
I made sure that all the libraries are there and these are loaded from the lib folder of the WAR. One library in specific, qname.jar (that is related to the exception), was additionaly mentioned in the classpath before all other libraries but the exception still occurred.
Is this problem familiar to someone?

I too have had problems using WebLogic Builder to add the WebLogic Deployment Descriptors.
I some places there are typos, others lack of Resource Reference Envionment tabs under Resources.
Other times I have generated and saved the deployment descriptors, only to have them recreated the next time I go into WebLogic Builder again.
Using the "Refresh Module" removes many of the CMP Fields and Primary Key fields in Persistence for some reason.
Basically, WebLogic Builder is very unfriendly in porting jAppServer2004.

  • Setting the title font and axis labels in a graph created with the Report Generation Toolkit

I'm using the LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office to generate Excel worksheets containing plots. Unfortunately, the default font size used in the plots is huge (see attached worksheet). I was able to use Excel Set Graph Font.vi to reduce the size of the axis labels, but there does not appear to be a function to do this to the title and legend. In addition, there does not appear to be a function to set the axis text labels. Before I write my own, has NI released additional functions to perform these tasks?

    Hello Zeidan
The graph title and legend font sizes can be changed by accessing a low level VI (Excel_Insert_Chart.vi) that is part of the excelsub.llb that is located at (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\vi.lib\addons\_office). This VI is called dynamically from within the Excel Insert Graph.vi and it uses VI server technology to access the Excel exposed properties. Attached to this post is an image of the block diagram of this VI after I have modified it to set the font sizes of the title and legend to 15. The circles in the image represent what I had to add to accomplish this.

  • LabVIEW 2009 3D Plot has no Loose Fit property and Axis AutoScale does not function at run time ?

I cannot find a Loose Fit property for the new 3D plots (waterfall, ribbon) in LV 2009.  As a result, my data range of 1402 to 1407 ends up on a Z axis range of 1400 to 1500 and looks like a flat line.
The Z Active Axis properties Range Maximum and Range Minimum can be used to set the range but the Z Axis Autoscale property had to be changed to False using either the front panel Plot Properties at edit time or using the Range Auto Scale property at run time on the block diagram.  It could not be changed at run time by popping up on either the plot border or on the Color Palette.
In edit mode, R-clicking on the Color Palette's AutoScale Z did not make that property toggle or stick and did not change its function.
At run time, there are two AutoScale Z selections shown.  One along with the X and Y scales and another by itselfat the bottom.  Again, clicking the one that is part of the X and Y axis did not make its setting stick and did not have an effect.  What does happen though is that the other AutoScale Z shown at the bottom of the Color Pallete popup does toggle its state.  But clicking on the AutoScale Z shown at the bottom does not toggle its state.
The grey border region of the plot area contains at run time, popup setting for X,Y and Z AutoScale that likewise have no effect.
    Or am I missingsomething ?

    Steve,
you should be able to successfully change the scales based on the min and max values as long as you explicitly turn off autoscale. In your program, I just right-clicked the  Range Auto Scale property selected "change to write", then made a control so that I could set the value myself. Clean up the broken wires, and the program runs like it's supposed to - resetting it's scale range:
is this the result you wanted?

  • Problem may be with saaj.jar and AXIS,WAS,WSAD

    Hi,
I have successfully developed and deployed an EJB using WSAD 5.1.2's WebSphere 5.0 Test Environment. I have even able to access the EJB using UTC(Universal Test Client) in WSAD and by launching the j2ee client module using
    WebSphere lauchClient program.
Basically I have below directory structure:
    a.ear
    --|-----axis.war
    -----------|------ lib
--------------------|--- all axis related jars are here
--|-----demoEjb.jar (has java jar dependencies set to axis.war\lib jars
I have now exposed this ejb as web service using AXIS 1.2 RC2 deployed as web module inside WSAD. This web service is properly exposed as web service as I can see it and access its wsdl when I access axis web services.
Now I have written a standalone-outside-wsad web service client that uses AXIS stubs and when I try to consume to this ejb web service I am getting below error.

    Yes :-)
At the ear level, set the Classloader mode to PARENT_FIRST and WAR classloader policy to APPLICATION. At the axis web module level, set the Classloader mode to PARENT_LAST
