JButton with invisible border
Hi experts,
I would like to have an 'invisible button' that only shows the button text and have that text become 'bold' when rolled over. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

hopiyou can add an actionListener (like mouseEntered, mouseExited) and use the setFont("fontname", Font.BOLD, dim); method.

Table cell with invisible border?
Hi,
I am trying to get table-cells with e.g. the right
border missing (invisible). I am using the
following XSL-FO to get this:
<fo:table-cell border="solid black 1px" border-right-width="0px" border-collapse="collapse" number-columns-spanned="1">
This works fine with four different
XSL-FO engines, but XMLP shows
the right border. Is there a work around
or different approach to get invisible
borders?

I am using an RTF template, but was not able to get
what I need with the standard functionality available
in the RTF template. To work around this, I have
imported a stylesheet to create the FO for the table
directly. I try to append to this mail:
- code in the RTF template
- XML sample data
- stylesheet imported from RTF template
- the generated FO (small table, 4 colums, 7 rows, plus headers)
I could also provide a stylesheet to create a complete,
self containing FO and a correct PDF output, but may
direct mail would be better for this.

I simply want a button to show an icon without having any space around that icon. For some reason, the button always has a border around the icon that I cannot get rid of. I have tried setting the button's border to EmptyBorder and setMargin to 0,0,0,0 and other things but the border is alway there. When I mouse click on the button, I can click on space outside of the icon and still have a button event which is not what I want. Any ideas?
This code worked for me. I just went negative on the spacing.

Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while print
Hi All,
I am using 9.3.1 version of hyperion planning were Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while printing with the option "print all object", Only the data grid is coming in the print. If I use "print screen" it is coming with border/logo/heading but it gives a screenshot of the report, that won't cater out need.
So please suggest us with a resolution to have border, logo and heading, while using Print all object.

In scripts when you will see print preview the logo will be not shown up with clarity.Take the print out of the document and check whether logo is printing up with clarity.

How do I print multiple photos on one page with a border around each? I've gone the contact sheet route and adjusted the number of columns but there's only outer margins and very little white space between the photos down the middle of the page.
Ok, now I feel stupid! I always thought I was printing 6 x 4 but now I realise I can't have done!!
The photos that I used to print are approx. 5.2" x 4" (i.e. 4 fitted nicely on a page & I had to cut the boarder off).
I guess I just need to play with different sizes under the 'custom' option in order to get the biggest possible picture!

I am using Crystal 11 over a Citrix connection. I have two pie charts in the report footer section, with one partially overlapping the other one. I have it set up to show the pie of each chart, but only one legend. When I print to two different local printers, the top-layered chart prints a border even though the border setting is set to none. If I make the lower-layered chart the top chart, then IT prints with a border and the other one no longer has a border. If I export the report as a .PDF and then print the .PDF, both charts print without a border as they should. If I export as a Crystal Report and then print it using the Crystal Reports installed on my hard drive, both charts again print correctly.
I've tried putting a white border around the chart, but that didn't help. If I put a non-white border around the chart, that border surrounds the border that shouldn't be appearing. I've searched the web and this newsgroup, but haven't found any references to this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.I guess I should have played with it a little bit longer. While I wouldn't say it's working as designed there is a workaround. I went into Chart -> Format Background... (which can also be accessed via right-clicking the chart). The border was set to transparent, but the fill foreground color was set to white. When I made the foreground color transparent as well, then the border disappeared when printing. I'm not sure why a white background with a transparent border was making the border appear, but I am now getting the desired results.
Hopefully someone else will gain from this if they have a similar problem. -

When create the image icon, it need the path of the icon file, what is the relative path of image in jbuilder?

if your current class is Test and you image file is in the same directory called cat.gif then do the following
button.setIcon(new ImageIcon(Test.class.getResource("cat.gif")));
this should work
if you image file is in the previous directory you just type in "../cat.gif" and if you have a image directory reltaive then you put in "images/cat.gif"

HT2506 OS X Preview: Insert a white box with no border?
Hello, I have a PDF document in Preview (OS X Lion), and I'm trying to insert a "whiteout" area--basically a white box with no border or shadow. However, no matter what I do, I can't seem to create an annotation rectangle without some kind of border showing up. Actually, it looks more like a shadow than a border. Am I missing something? Is this possible with Preview?

The only decent solution seems to be the free app Skitch. Reveiws are 100% negative on the latest version, which has been stripped of features (Adobe, again?), but you can still get the older versions at http://www.oldapps.com/mac/skitch_for_mac.php I use version 1.0.12, which works with Mountain Lion.
There's also GIMP, which is a powerful program but has a learning curve like the Matterhorn. -
In the Toolbar I have a JButtons. I created the JButtons with Icons.
When I click on a button it is putting a dotted line right around the Icon. How can I get rid of that? Thanks.You're talking about the focus rectangle. If memory serves in the SwingSet demo there's an entire panel devoted to buttons and such. You can find something there to help you. The toggle in the example is labeled "Paint Focus", and it does what you want.

Black window with white border and cursor location - how do I get rid of it?
I must have inadvertently hit some key or combo of keys and now I have an oblong black window with white border that is annoyingly telling me what the cursor is over and where I can go/ what I can do from there.

It must return true if the coordinates are inside the polygon and false otherwise.
