JDBC dynamic receiver configuration

hi experts,
i have about 20 datasources (databases). all of them use the same XI scenario. it means that on all databases the same work is done.
now there is a problem, i dont want to create 20 jdbc receiver channels for each database to handle my scenario,
is there a way to configure the jdbc receiver dynamically?
if yes, any how-to would really help me.
thanks in advance
chris

Database connection paramter is the mandatory for CC channel creating an is dependent on each CC creation.
So going with the standard would be easy and your question is more valid sending same structure to different DB.
But no option  as u wished.
Developing Adapter Module would be quite challening but Database ip should be produced from the Outbound Interface r any value mapping has to happen based upon some validation from Outbound Interface.
But doing all work around depends on u r interest an need intstead go for CC creation
SAP has give so i guess it would be very narrow in monitoring the CC individually in poiting out the error specific

  • SOAP Receiver : Dynamic URL configuration vs. TAuthKey capability

    Hello all,
    I plan to use dynamic URL configuration of web service URL in SOAP Receiver CC. I got an idea, which is more or less described on SDN already. But one thing bothers me a lot.
    In my scenario we talk about 10 and more WebServices' URLs to be called dynamically. The WS call will include also authorization username:passwd and it is expectable, that each WS will have different uname:passwd definition to be authorized with.
    I made a capability analysis of SOAP Receiver CC - tab Advanced - Authetication keys and there are prepared only 10 possibilities to define password for authentication key (which I'll handle to CC via TAuthKey parameter).
    In the help page http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/29/5bd93f130f9215e10000000a155106/frameset.htm there is a note regarding authentication key:
    If authentication is required for the receiver system, you can enter a password with confirmation for each key value. This means that you do not need to write passwords in the enhanced message header.
    So in other words there should be a way, how to send to CC even the password with other adapter-specific message attributes. (or maybe I miss the meaning of this comment, like the other way is to develope own module for CC and process additional attribs from enhanced message header)
    Does anyone have some experience with handling the authentication data in "enhanced message header" ?
    Thanx for you info in advance.
    Regards
    Tom

    Hi all,
    I got an idea that the solution could be to use "Enhanced receiver determination" and use a set of Services-CommChannels with special naming convention. With this (little bit complicated) scenarion I'll get a possibility to define more then one SOAP Receiver CC => I'll get more than 10 options to store the logon password.
    What do you think ?
    Points for ideas guaranteed.

  • Dynamic filename configuration via custom EJB

    Hi Experts,
                        We are doing a poc on whether we can do the dynamic filename configuration,i.e. set the file name dynamically in a custom EJB deployed on the server and called in the sender comm. channel of any J2EE based adapter.
    The requirement is for some interfaces, there is no mapping requirement other then setting the filename dynamically, which maybe based on a certain value of the input file or a specific portion of string in the payload.
    The custom EJB takes the namespace and attribute as input parameters along with other string manupulation parameters to determine the receiver file name. That is if we are using sender JMS adapter, we can have namespace = http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS and attribute as DCJMSMessageProperty1. The bean would read the value and perform the manipulation based on certain other input parameters and set the file.
    There is one particular bean : AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean but it does not allow us to manipulate the filename.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Sender JDBC to Receiver RFC scenario

    Hi All,
    I have to configure an scenario of sender JDBC to receiver RFC wherein SAP PI will be pulling data from third party database (Oracle).
    Since I am configuring such scenario of sender JDBC, I want help on every important key aspects/prerequisites of configuring sender JDBC adapter/channel. I want to understand about Database Connection, Processing Parameters, etc. details while configuring sender JDBC channel and their significance/relevance.
    Also I need guidelines about the source data structure (message type or external definition) to be used/created in ESR.
    How sender JDBC channel and receiver JDBC channel differs from each other?
    Please guide me on this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Patil

    Hi Amit,
    First of all you should read the sap.help documentation:
    Configuring the Sender JDBC Adapter - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library
    Configuring the Receiver JDBC Adapter - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library
    Later, you can read Rajs's blog to advance concepts and perfomance JDBC Receiver scenarios best practices part-1
    Finally, search the other blogs and documents in the SCN.
    How sender JDBC channel and receiver JDBC channel differs from each other?
    JDBC sender always does a poll to a DB table (with join some tables) in wich table you will need a field checkbox to mark the registers read, and the the receiver JDBC you can do a typical SQL construction like SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, etc. Both cases need the JDBC DB driver installed (check the SAP notes for this, also you can find some examples in the SCN:http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/8000cffc-6b92-2d10-3493-f2ac1399242f?quicklink=index&…  PI/XI: deploy a JMS/JDBC driver without JSPM? ).

  • Dynamic Receiver file name in AS2 adapter

    Hi Experts,
    How to get dynamic receiver file name in AS2 adapter. We need receiver file name same as of sender file name.
    We tried selecting dynamic attributes file name but we are getting followin error in CC.
    Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: com.seeburger.xi.connector.queue.TaskBuildException: Mandatory attribute dtAS2FileName is not present in XI message., Mandatory attribute dtAS2FileName is not present in XI message.
    Thanks,
    Hari

    hi hari,
    You can't do it manually. As both adapter are in different context.
    You can go with UDF to slove ur problem.
    Just extract the input file name using Dynamic configuration
    Store that in some variable.
    Use same name in the dynamic file name in AS2 receiver. Below code might be useful.
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://seeburger.com/xi/common/dtAS2FileName", "DYNFILENAME");
    conf.put(key,strfilename);
    Thanks

  • Dynamic Receiver Agreements

    Hi,
    I have a situation where I have a message mapping that populates a JDBC insert statement.  Basically this is just a message interface that gets sent through to a JDBC receiver adaptor.
    Now, there are multiple databases sitting on the WAN.  This message interface could be sent through to any of the the multiple databases.  So the only difference in the receiver agreement would be the actual communication channel being used (i.e. the communication channel created for each of the different databases).
    Now at the time of the message mapping, I know which communication channel to use.  Would I be able to change the communication channel being used in the 1 receiver agreement, to which ever communication channel I want?
    This would then allow me to have multiple communication channels (1 for each of the databases), but only have 1 receiver agreement.
    Thanks,
    Miguel

    The cardinality of Receiver Comm Channel and Receiver agreement is 1:1
    So for every Comm channel you have created for Receiver , You should create as many as Receiver Agreement.
    But Dynamic Receiver can be identified by using either Conditional Receiver Determination or Enhanced Receiver Determination.

  • JDBC Dynamic Credential with proxy users

    Hi
    We've developed an application with Business Components and it's been working very well. We're using JDBC Dynamic Credential like explain the document (How to Support JDBC Dynamic Credentials - http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/10g/dynamicjdbchowto.html). Now we want to use proxy users with JDBC Dynamic Credentials. How can we
    user proxy users with JDBC Credentials? What classes or parameters we need to change?
    I've been tested proxy users a lot, but in simple java classes, I don't know where to set some parameters in business components, for example, where can I set the following parameters?:
    OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXY_USER_NAME
    OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXYTYPE_USER_NAME
    Thanks in advance
    Liceth

    Hi Frank, thanks again
    Now we are using JDBC Credentials(like explain the paper http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/10g/dynamicjdbchowto.html), every user connects to the application with a diferent database user and password, then at database level the administrator can see diferents usernames (not the same user). Every application user correspond to a database user, relation one to one. The application works fine with that configuration. But, now for performance we want to change our application to use proxy users, I read that with proxy users redirectec to a single user, then the pooling connections are well reused, and at database level you have diferent usernames. Our principal goal is use pooling (for performance) and see diferent usernames at database level, this for facilitate administration tasks and auditory .
    We want that the application user autenticate with proxy users (username and password) but we have some problems because we don't know where specify that we're using proxy users. (The parameters OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXY_USER_NAME
    OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXYTYPE_USER_NAME).
    We want open our connections with the following code:
    OracleOCIConnectionPool ods = new OracleOCIConnectionPool();
    ods.setURL("jdbc:oracle:oci:@"+tnsAlias);
    ods.setUser("user_application");
    ods.setPassword("oracle");
    java.util.Properties prop = new java.util.Properties();
    prop.setProperty(OracleOCIConnectionPool.CONNPOOL_MIN_LIMIT,"3");
    prop.setProperty(OracleOCIConnectionPool.CONNPOOL_MAX_LIMIT,"20");
    prop.setProperty(OracleOCIConnectionPool.CONNPOOL_INCREMENT,"1");
    ods.setPoolConfig(prop);
    java.util.Properties userNameProp = new java.util.Properties();
    userNameProp.setProperty(OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXY_USER_NAME,"Mark/123");
    Connection conn = ods.getProxyConnection(OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXYTYPE_USER_NAME,userNameProp);
    with other user
    userNameProp.setProperty(OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXY_USER_NAME,"Marty/123d");
    Connection conn = ods.getProxyConnection(OracleOCIConnectionPool.PROXYTYPE_USER_NAME,userNameProp);
    Thanks in advance

  • How to get a dynamic receiver determination based on a table an SAP PI ABAP Stack

    Hello folks,
    currently I get stuck dealing with a problem about the receiver determination. Let me first describe the Problem: We are using to different SAP ERP- backend system in our test enviroment. But only of this systems is marked as current "actuall" test system. Every once in a while we need to switch between these two systems and mark the other one as the actual test system.
    This is the point were it get's a little bit time consuming for me: We have about 50 interfaces were I need to change the receiver from test system A to test system B or vice versa. So I thought about creating a more dynamic way to determine the actual test system:
    Therefore I have created a table on the ABAP stack of our PI (7.31 double stack) with just one field that holds the current test system. Now I would like to create a dynamic receiver determination where I call the RFC-function RFC_READ_TABLE. But how can I acess a table from the grapchical mapping of the pi which is stored on the PI?
    Is there mybe another fundamental way to retrieve the actuall test system within the mapping?

    You can go for enhanced receiver determination, where in you can determine the receiver system using a graphical mapping.
    Now in that graphical mapping, use the standard function " RFC Look up" and make a call to bapi and get the actual receiver system.

  • Dynamic receiver Determination for Sync Scenario??

    Hello Experts,
      I have a SOAP -> Xi -> R3 sync scenario i,e, R3 to send back response to SOAP client.
    Also I need the Dynamic receiver determination.
    When I try to create the Interface Mapping, I get the error:
    "Interface modi are different. "
    Source interface MI_My_sync_iface is synchronous.
    Target interface  ReceiverDetermination | http://sap.com/xi/XI/System is asynchronous
    I coud find few threads on forum related to this but i think there is no clear solution provided.
    I do not wanna use BPM.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Appropriate point will be awarded.

    > So when I try to define a interface Mapping using a Sync interface as Source and Async interface as target, XI does not allow me to do so.
    You are getting this error because in Interface mapping when you use sync source then it generates request and response tab so if at target side if you put anync interface then definetly it will go into error. You have to make both the interfaces as sync.
    BTW, after getting the message in R3, how are processing the message? Are you using sync proxy??
    You can solve the problem by creating one additional message interface of type inbound-asyn. Use this additional Message interfce in your Interface Determination. And create additional Receiver Agreement to deliver the message to it's destination.
    Note: When you careate additional Interface Determination then you have to chose the response message interface (Sync message interface which returns the response from R3) as a source.

  • Dynamic Receiver Determination using Soap header

    Hi ,
       I am trying to use a field in SOAP Header to determine the receivers dynamically.
    1, Using XPATH gives me only values in the Payload and not the SOAP header. Is it possible to pull the value from the SOAP header to the payload and then do dynamic receiver determination.
    2. Using Context Object is it possible to transfer the value of the field in SOAP header to variable header Xheadername1 and then use it to determine the receiver. I am having problems in passing the value of the field in soap header to XHeadername1.
    Any help is appreciated and points will be awarded.

  • Dynamic receiver determination for synchron interface

    Hello everybody,
    I want to use dynamic receiver determination for a synchron scenario.
    The problem is, that the interface 'ReceiverDetermination' (http://sap.com/xi/XI/System SAP BASIS 7.00) is a asynchron interface.
    This leads to an error when activating the Interface-Mapping (synch source Interface -> asynch destination Interface ReceiverDetermination)
    Is there a way to use the dynamic receiver determination for synchron interface?
    Thanks a lot,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
    I guess your scenario is not possible ASIS, since XI doesn't support 1:n for sync interfaces (and even if your mapping condition reduces it to 1:1, actually it is still 1:n, since your receiver list is unbounded).
    Theoretically, you could make it work with BPM, though.
    But I've never worked with a Receiver Determination Step reading from an enhanced receiver determination in ID (though there should be no problems).
    Use sync async bridge, then use receiver determination step to obtain the receiver from an enhanced Receiver Determination. Pay attention that this enhanced receiver determination is a dummy one, using a mapping from your async abstract interface to the ReceiverDetermination interface. Once your mapping has determined the receiver, the enhanced receiver determination will return that receiver to the Receiver Determination step in the BPM. Then use this receiver in the sync send step (in mode receiver from receiver list, not from context).
    The receiver determination of the actual sync send step may be a standard one, with the several receivers there (even if there are several there, at the moment of the sending, only one will be used).
    Maybe it will work, maybe not.
    Just try it.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • WLC DHCP Settings - Under Dynamic Interface configuration

    Hi Guys,
    If I have a dynamic interface that is connected to a subnet where the router interfaces have DHCP servers configured under the helper address commands, do I need to configure the DHCP fields under the dynamic interface configuration?
    I have helper address configured on the connected routers AND these fields configured with the same DHCP servers.
    Just wondering if I can take the IPs out of the WLC configuration?
    Many thx indeed,
    Ken

    Ken, the DHCP address under the dynamic interface, is the address the WLC will unicast the DHCP request to when a client tries to use that interface. Under normal operation this address is needed. There is a way to get the WLC to bridge the packet to the wire so that it is a broadcast instead of a unicast packet. CLI command is config dhcp proxy disable.
    But I do believe that even if you issue the CLI command, the software wants the DHCP address listed under the dynamic interface.

    Steve

  • [SOLVED]JDBC Dynamic credentials problem

    Hello everyone. I have been trying to implement Steve Muench example 14 about JDBC Dynamic Credentials on my own web app., I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2 and JSF/ADF.
    The thing is that the JDBC dynamic credential works well but when I enter a non-existant username/password the login.jsp page sends me to the main.jsp page and in the table that I have placed there (in the main.jsp page) it shows "Access Denied". Is there any way to tell the app. to redirect the users to the login.jsp page if they try to acces other parts of the app. and they are not logged in???, or is it thay I am missing something from the Steve Muench's example???
    I have been cheking the "DynamicJDBCBindingFilter.java" code and, if I understand correctly ('cause I consider myself a newbe), the "super.doFilter(request, response,chain)" is suppoused to throw an exception if the authentication fails and the "catch" code then sends the user to the login.jsp page... but for some reason this doesn't work!!!
    Can anybody help me on this one please?
    Thanks.

    Hi Frank, thanks for your response. That same idea crossed my mind but the thing is that the line "super.doFilter(request, response,chain);" is supouseded to throw an exception if it fails to do its job but for some reason it does not... I have placed a "System.out.printline("XXX");" line inmediatly after the "catch" statement to see if an exception is thrown but apparently it doesn't, so I can't set a flag if I don't know for sure if the process ended well (or wrong).
    I think I'll clear my mind for 1 hour and start all over again... maybe I am missing something...
