JDBC sender adapter polling data more than once within one polling interval

Hi,
Our sender communciation channel is polling data twice in one polling interval, hence triggering the corresponding BPM twice.
The polling interval for the channel is set to 30 mins.
We dont have an update query and use <test> instead. Currently there is no provision to use an update query in the source system.
Intermitently the polling happens within an interval of few milliseconds, because of which we are in doubt whether the use of Update query will solve our problem
Additionaly in the BPM, we have one channel which deletes the data from source system after the processing is complete by the BPM, but the second BPM is getting triggered before the deletion step is being executed in the first BPM.
Please Advise how we can stop the channel from polling data twice.

Please ty to set an advanced mode option in the table(for sender
channel configurations) as follows:
Key name is "clusterSyncMode" and its values are either "scheduler" or
"none".(both are without quotes and case-sensitive)
Default value is "scheduler", this means it prevents 2
messages being generated regardless of 2 server nodes. This is true,
even if you do not add anything in advanced options table.
Also are more information about this parameter of file adapter, what
is the same for jdbc:

Archiving same data more than once due to overlapping variant values

Hi all,
i had accidently run 2 archiving jobs on the same data. For instance, job 1 was archiving for company code IN ( where the company code was from IN00 till ZZ00), which was the unwanted job. The second archive job archived data from IN99 till INZZ ( not the whole IN company code ).
These 2 jobs failed due to log fulll ( the data was too huge to be archived), however when i expand the jobs in the failed SARA session, the archive files has up to 100 MB size.
Below are some of the problems which will incur if we archive the same data more than once ( which i found from my online search )
- some archiving objects require that data only exists once in the archive therefore duplicate data can lead to erroneous results in the totals of archived data
- Archiving the data again will affect checksum. Checksum normally conducted before and after archiving process and its purpose is to validate whether the same file contents exist in the newly created archive files as compare the original data.
Could anyone advice me on how to overcome this multiple archiving on the same data issue. Apart from above stated impact, what are the other problems of multiple archiving on same data?
The failed archived sessions are currently in "Incomplete Archiving Session" and in 1 week time they will be deleted by archive delete jobs and will be moved to "Completed Archive Session". I highly appreciate if anyone could help

There are several issues here. In this case it seems pretty clear cut that you did not want the first variant to be executed. Hopefully none of the deletions have taken place for this archive run.
In cases where you have overlapping selection criteria and some of the deletions have been processed you can be in a very difficult situation. The best advise that I have would be to check your archive info structure CATALOG definition and make sure that both the archive file and the offset fields are set to DISPLAY fields and not KEY fields.
If your file and offset are key fields then when you use the archive info structure you would pull up more than one copy of the archived document.
Example: FI document 12345 was archived and deleted in archive run 1 and archive run 2.
The search for the archive info structure when the file and offset are keys fields would return two results.
12345 from run 1
12345 from run 2
If the CATALOG has the file and offset as display only fields you would only return one result
12345 from (whichever deletion file was processed first)
The second deletion process would have a warning message in the job log that not all records were inserted.
Please note that any direct access of the data archive file that bypasses the archive info structure and goes directly to the data archiving files would still show two documents and not a single document.

Ftp Adapter getting invoked more than once

So after analysing this log file, i created
the appropriate drives and folders... as the
import statement doesn't see them.
E:\ORADATA G:\ORDATA etc...
And i started to [b]IMPORT ONE MORE TIME. with:

Filtering a recordset more than once on one page?

Although I'm a relative noob to php I'm ok to create recordsets and display them on a page and other more compicated recordsets using DW CS4 I'm strangely stumped how to do the following (although i'm sure i've done this already before!):
As an example, say I have a page 'pens.php' and have created a recordset 'rsPens' that displays all pens from the database in a repeating region that displays as follows:
Available Pens
blue pen
red pen
yellow pen
green pen ...etc
How do I create a clickable link (either text, radio button, drop down list etc) that can filter any of the colours to display only one colour pen like this:

red pen
I'm thinking the url would look something like this: www.mysite.com/pens.php?pencolour=red but not sure how to edit the recordset. I think the answer will probably amaze me with it's simplicity but I've frazzled more than a safe amount of brain cells already and don't have many left!!

If you use an isset section in your php code to check for the color selection and a link directing the form action to your php code page that sets the value via a $_POST for your color selection, would this not do what you wish?

I have scenario where the JDBC adapter has to read the data once every month. now how would JDBC adapter know that it has to select data which has been updated after last months select only and not the old data?

in the sender JDBC adapter you give the select statement as well as update statement.
what you do is that once you select the data from data base you use an update query to set a flag to false,so that you dont select that data again next time.

Does iCloud save my data more than once when i back it up?

Apple states that it keeps up to 3 backups. Your camera roll photos are stored in your backup, but can't be viewed unless you restore the backup to your phone. You may have other data taking up the space in your account, such as email, app data, the data you sync with your iCloud account (contacts, calendars, reminders, notes, etc.), etc.

JDBC Sender Adapter Threads and DB connections

I have got a few questions regarding the behaviour of the JDBC sender adapter.
Suppose I have configured a short polling intervall of 10 seconds. On the first poll a message is processed. How does the JDBC sender adapter behave when there is a second poll after 10 seconds and data is available? Does it wait until the first poll has been processed completely or does it start a second thread processing a second message in parallel? If the latter is true, would a second database connection be retrieved or would both threads share one database connection? What would happen if a large number of unprocessed threads were waiting?

hi heiko,
whether the first thread is successful or not automatically a new thread is created after the polling interval.if the previous thread is accessing a data the database would lock that one for theat thread so until the lock is released the other thread has to wait for it.so you can see the thread waiting in SAP WEb GUI.There you can see a green indicator on the status column corresponding to the service.
so a new service is created after the pollling interval irrespective of the pevious service's result and it waits in the queue till its resource is otained.
configuring sender jdbc to poll a databe is not an advisable one that too this short polling interval.this will increase the queue length and obviously cause performance issues...........

Terminating Event Getting triggered more than once

Hi All,
I am facing a very peculiar problem in PR release workflow(item wise release, business object BUS2009).
One of the requirements of the workflow is to send a mail to PR initiator once it is rejected by any of the approvers(4, in my case). The event associated with the cancellation of the workflow is REJECTION_START.
The problem is that this event is being triggered more than once. One thing that i have observed is that if eg. second level of approver cancels it, the event is triggered twice. Likewise if third level of approver cancels it, it is being triggered thrice. Which leads to sending of 2 and 3 mails respectively to the PR initiators mailbox.
Why is this happening? Ideally, only one event should have been triggered, and the triggering of the event should have been independent of PR approver's level. I am at my wits end regarding this.
Any suggestions in this regard will be highly appreciated

If you check for 2nd level rejjection two release Code is associated so it triggers 2 times and same for 3rd level approval.
I think you have to put some sort of filter using FM SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_OBJECT
in the attribute portion of yopur custom BO.
The attribjute will check this FM and if it has entries that means already a Workflow has been triggered it should set the flag as X.
Make use of this attribute in defining the start condition of this task thru
SWB_COND.

Triggering workflow more than once during wait hrs

Dear All,
We have implemented two Z (ZAPFI_INV, & ZFI_INV_PARK) workflows for FI
park invoice. ZFI_INV_PARK is the query workflow and ZAPFI_INV is the
approval workflow.
Both workflow start with checking whether if image (i.e. FI invoice) is
attached with the document or not. If the image is not attached, the
workflow will wait 3 hrs for the image attachment. If the image gets
attached within 3 hrs, workflow will move further for approval or query
process.
But if the same document is "parked" or "save-as-completed" more than
once within the waiting time frame of 3 hrs, then more than one
workflow process starts & resulting same WI more than once in the useru2019s inbox.
Kindy advice.

Is it possible to put the Validation at Application Level (rather that doing changes in Workflows as they are working correctly)?
May be you can log the Invoices in ZTABLE when they are parked and Flag them as marked once processing is complete.

I need pick up some data from a Oracle 8.1 Database but I don't want to use a polling from a JDBC Sender Adapter. Because this impact the XI performance and we use several BPM's.
Any Ideas?

from SP19 you should be able to use
a scheduler with jdbc adapter but till then
you need to use some other solutions
maybe you can use a BPM which can be scheduled
(by any interface) and inside use receiver jdbc
adapter to do a select
or you can start the adapter manually whenever necessary....

Timed out while sending ... message may be send more than once

Hi,
I regular have complaints from some clients receiving my emails 10 -15 times in their mailbox.
When checking the maillog I always see : timed out while sending ... message may be send more than once. See below
Problem can happen at any time, even when there is just 1 person connected to the server, so I rule out overload.
95% of mails send arrive without problem.
When looking the dns mx info of these clients I am having problem with, all have multiple (round-robin ?) mx-hosts (eg mx.mailprotect.be).
Is someone else having these problems ?

It means that Cyrus IMAP is not responding or ready to deliver mail (at least temporarily). Most likely reason is that there are too many connections/users.
