Jdev Java Editor: API for 'compare with' option

Hi,
For a plug-in that I am working on, I would want to display the diff between two specified files. This is an existing feature in Jdev (10.1.3.3.0.3). Here is the navigation path for the existing feature.
a. Open an java source
b. Right click -> Compare with -> Other file
c. After choosing the file to compare with, the diff is shown in a different editor
Can you point api(if exists) to the diff editor to which I can specify the two files to compare in some sort of custom plugin.

    Am using gsm modem in my project previously my linux is 32bit with 32 bit jvm of sun that time there was no problem at the time of working with gsm modem port .But now am using 64bit linux then 32bit files are not supporting to communicate with gsm modem port .How can i get java communication api for unix 64bit ,64bit jvm of sun.please any body help me ...i am searching in sun/oracle also for downloading java communication files of 64bit jvm but i didn't get the link... i need bellow java communication api files.

About Java Communication API for Windows

I'm studying Serial Communication in university.
I'd like to know the reason why we can't downlaod Java Communication API for Windows.
I confirmed Comm for Linux and Soralis, but I can't find Comm for Win.
Please tell me the reason if someone know.

For no particular reason Sun stopped supporting the windows version
of that package. I use rxtx which happens to allow for much faster
communication too.
The interface is identical to Sun's version, just the package differs: "gnu.io".

Error in the latest Java comm api for Linux

installed latest Java comm api for Linux, tried test application for the Sun package:
$ java SimpleRead

The package was installed accordingly to "Java(tm) Communications API Linux Installation Instructions":

You can search the table that profiles options are saved,Using the application id in that table ,you have query it....

There should be a file called javadocs.jar in your portal installation directory. Either under SUNWps/sdk or SUNWps/export.

Java Imaging API for Displaying CGM IMAGES along with Hotspot on Applets

Are there any java imaging API's which displays the CGM Images on Applets? The CGM Image has Hotspot keys built in. So the Image displayed through Applet should also display the Hotspot keys.
Also any Event Handler API's when the hotspot key is clicked?
It would be great, if anyone can send any link regarding this subject

You may want to try the jcgm library, though it doesn't support hotspots yet.

Any CLDC/MIDP Api for interacting with phone? (eg. phonebook)

Hello.
I was going through the APIs for MIDP 1.0, and wasnt able to find any functions which I can use for interacting with the phone stuff. For example, some of the stuff that I would like to do is:
(1) Add contact info. to the phone book.
(2) Read the contacts info.
(3) Set an image as the screen saver / background image
(4) Set a new ringtone
(5) Access the Messages Inbox (and also the pictures stored).
I was hpoing someone could tell me which classes I should be looking at, or whether I am looking at the wrong API set.

Which file is used for "Open With" option to get desktop shortcut to open webpage

Adobe needs to develop an api for communicating with HTML Overlays & Indesign Objects

I'm a front-end developer who has been assigned the task of developing one of our client's DPS every month. While I praise Adobe for saving a dying a industry and giving non-developers simple GUI controls, they need to develop an api for communicating from HTML Overlays to Indesign MSOs and other objects.
I've had to do some intense animations/pages; which I in turn simply developed all in HTML5 and did an overlay. The time put into those pages could have been greatly reduced if their was a proper API in place to trigger different MSO and events. Is anybody at Adobe working on this? As DPS matures, and more developers are tasked with making folios it's imperative we have a proper way way to develop.

We had a page for embedded movies in a lightbox; the client said customers were complaining that the folios were too large and took too long to download. So we switched to youtube streaming page, but they wanted a poster and autoplay enabled. If you have ever programmed with mobile video, you'll know devices are extremely difficult to manipulate.
I had to do an html overlay with a bunch of transparent divs for hotspots and buttons. If I could have told Indesign to move different objects layer orders or go to a different MSO it would have saved me hours.
Doesn't DPS support localstorage? Couldn't you guys whip up a little api to trigger events via localstorage?
Off topic, another request:
- enable the safari webkit inspector for debugging connected ipads with folios that have html overlays; you guys don't fully support HTML5 or certain js events and it's extremely annoying and difficult to debug.

I am taking a JAVA programming course , and I would like to download a JAVA editing program for use on my home computer (Mac OS 10.5). I use TextPad at school, and I would like a similar program that can compile and run JAVA applications/applets.

If you use version 2.0 of the rxtx library then it provides a complete implementation of the javax.comm package.
Version 2.1 does not (its in the gnu.io namespace)

     Can I use IWDPDFDocument API in java program? I tried it but I am getting 'classnotfoundexception'.

may i know what service pack of SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio version are you using?
as the "IWDPDFDocument" is only available on SAP NetWeaver 2004S SPS 10 and above
and you just need to import either this two class
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.adobe.api
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.adobe.pdfdocument.api

Java API for working with Pivot Tables...?

Hi,
I want to create/modify an existing pivot table in an excel sheet. Is there any open source available to work on pivot tables.
I have seen few articles mentioning that POI supports updation of data, though the apache site says that it does not support working with pivot tables. I am able to copy an existing excel template with pivot table to a new excel using poi but am stuck with updating....

The JExcelAPI does not support working with pivot tables... I am still in search of an open source to work with pivot tables....
btw, we are able to update an existing pivot table using apache poi. But we need to change the data range of the pivot table during run time... Am stuck with this... Has anyone come across any open source to work with pivots???
