  • EM AS Control display problem in preconfigured OC4J of JDev 10.1.3.4.0

    I just downloaded JDeveloper Studio Edition for Windows 10.1.3.4.0 from TechNet, unzipped it and started it. I started the WebCenter preconfigured OC4J. From a browser I tried to access Application Server Control: http://localhost:6688/em. A page is displayed but it is obviously not formatted correctly. Stepping through the pages, something is clearly wrong. What did I do? How do I fix it?

    I guess this is a bug in JDev - I experienced it too in at least two installations. I hope Oracle fixes this soon - Peter Moskovits, any suggestions?

  • Can workshop consume portlet from preconfigured OC4J

    hi,
    i want to use remote portlet from workshop and consume portlet that i have deployed at preconfigurd oc4j. i developed portlet from jdev, and when i use portlet via jdev (using wsrp producer registration), i successfully display the portlet.
    the problem is when i try to use remote portlet from workshop, for wsdl i use wsrp v1 wsdl at preconfigured oc4j, i can connect with oc4j but at information number of available portlet is zero. i don't know where is wrong.
    is there any tips, advice or tutorial how to consume portlet at preconfigured oc4j in workshop? or it's impossible to do it...
    i'm still new with adf and weblogic workshop... hope anyone can help me ^^

    Yes via WSRP. By default (if you did not turn off) portal created in workshop 8.1 is a wsrp producer. you can access a portlet in the portal in a different web app as a remote portlet.
    Hope this helps

  • Migrating security settings from embedded oc4j to preconfigured oc4j

    Hi,
    I was able to configure security in my 11g TP3 ADF application, and run it successfully against embedded oc4j.
    Now, when I want to migrate this to preconfigured oc4j, I am getting ERROR:null.
    Please see the steps I follow:
    set CLASSPATH=C:/JDeveloper/j2ee/home/jazn.jar;C:/JDeveloper/BC4J/lib/adf-share-base.jar;C:/JDeveloper/j2ee/home/lib/security-api.jar;
    After that, I run the migration tool:
    java oracle.security.jazn.tools.JAZNMigrationTool -sr jazn.com -dr jazn.com -st xml -dt
    xml -sf "C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.0.22.47.96\o.j2ee\embedded-oc4j\config
    \system-jazn-data.xml" -df "C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\oracle.adfp.seededoc4j.11.1.1.0.
    0.071218.1800\j2ee\home\config\system-jazn-data.xml" -m policy
    This is because, as I mentioned in the earlier mail, the webcenter preconfigured oc4j's configurations are read from the directory :
    C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\oracle.adfp.seededoc4j.11.1.1.0.
    0.071218.1800\j2ee\home\config\system-jazn-data.xml
    and, the embedded oc4j's configuration is read from the directory :
    C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.0.22.47.96\o.j2ee\embedded-oc4j\config
    \system-jazn-data.xml
    However, when I run the migration tool, I get a message ERROR:null. Also, I dont have adfshare.jar, and instead, I have put adf-share-base.jar. Is there something I could be missing here ? Please advise.
    Best Regards,
    nattu

    Hi,
    Try enabling java logging to see what the exact error is. That might give you an idea of what the error could be..
    When I tried, I got the below error though I added jps-common.jar, which contains CredStoreResources, into the classpath
    java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find oracle.security.jps.internal.common.resources.credstore.CredStoreResources bundle

    P.S:check the destination file path. Are you sure that's correct. I believe It should be something like ""C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.0.22.47.96\o.adfp.seededoc4j.11.1.1.0.

  • About migrating security settings from embedded oc4j to preconfigured oc4j

    Hi,
    I was able to configure security in my 11g TP3 ADF application, and run it successfully against embedded oc4j.
    Now, when I want to migrate this to preconfigured oc4j, I am getting ERROR:null.
    Please see the steps I follow:
    set CLASSPATH=C:/JDeveloper/j2ee/home/jazn.jar;C:/JDeveloper/BC4J/lib/adf-share-base.jar;C:/JDeveloper/j2ee/home/lib/security-api.jar;
    After that, I run the migration tool:
    java oracle.security.jazn.tools.JAZNMigrationTool -sr jazn.com -dr jazn.com -st xml -dt
    xml -sf "C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.0.22.47.96\o.j2ee\embedded-oc4j\config
    \system-jazn-data.xml" -df "C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\oracle.adfp.seededoc4j.11.1.1.0.
    0.071218.1800\j2ee\home\config\system-jazn-data.xml" -m policy
    This is because, as I mentioned in the earlier mail, the webcenter preconfigured oc4j's configurations are read from the directory :
    C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\oracle.adfp.seededoc4j.11.1.1.0.
    0.071218.1800\j2ee\home\config\system-jazn-data.xml
    and, the embedded oc4j's configuration is read from the directory :
    C:\Documents and Settings\nneelaka\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.0.22.47.96\o.j2ee\embedded-oc4j\config
    \system-jazn-data.xml
    However, when I run the migration tool, I get a message ERROR:null. Also, I dont have adfshare.jar, and instead, I have put adf-share-base.jar. Is there something I could be missing here ? Please advise.
    Best Regards,

  • Preconfigured OC4J vs OAS 10g R3 for WebCenter

    I discovered that all the example WSRP portlets that are contained in the preconfigured OC4J in JDeveloper, are not contained in OAS 10gR3.
    Is there way to get all the ear files to deploy them on OAS?
    Or any other solution?

    Steve,
    The sample portlets are deployed to the Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.2, indeed. You can access the producer test page through:
    http://<host>:<port>/portletapp/infofor example:
    http://my.host.com:7778/portletapp/infoThe portlets are deployed to the OC4J_WebCenter instance.
    If you're interested in deploying the app separately, you find more information on the PDK downloads page on OTN.
    Hope this helps,
    Peter

  • Traffic light icon (start/stop preconfigured OC4J) in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3

    Searched the forums and couldn't find this previously posted. I installed the base J2EE Edition of JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 on Solaris and had the start/stop preconfigured OC4J (Traffic light) icons on the menu. When I installed the Windows Install J2EE Edition of JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 on a Windows 2000 machine and started up JDeveloper, the icons are not displayed in the icon menu. Does anyone know the reason for this?
    thanks,

    Don't know how to delete this post, so I will just reply to it. You can disregard this post. I inadvertently downloaded the J2EE version vice the Studio version. Sorry and thanks! rick

  • CMP Beans in JDev embedded OC4J

    Hello,
    I have to solve the following problem:
    We have a Project where a Session Bean calls CMP Entity Beans accessing an Oracle 9.2 database. When we start the Session Bean in the embedded OC4J of our JDev Ver. 9.0.5.1 the container starts to deploy but then it seems to stand still and nothing happens. The following message is displayed until we stop the server manually (After a more then an hour). But on an external OC4J Container it works fine. So how can we start this Bean in JDev? (Is there a way to start ear-files seperatly from JDev?)
    message:
    04/05/26 19:25:07 Auto-deploying - file:/D:/Projekte/transmedia/Entwicklung/db_mapping/classes/ (No previous deployment found)...

    We had a similar problem with a large number of CMPs. The solution was to allocate more memory to OC4J in the project settings under J2EE.
    Mine now looks like this
    ${java} ${jvm} -classpath ${oc4j.jar} -Xms512M -Xmx1024M
    ${memory.archive.flag} ${keep.alive.timeout.flag}
    ${oracle.dms.sensors.flag} ${oracle.jms.lock.flag}
    ${oc4j.main.class} -config ${server.xml}

  • Portlet items in JDev w/OC4J standalone result in 500 (nullPointer) errors.

    I am not sure if this belongs in the JDev or Portal discussion forums, so decided to start here.
    I loaded the Portal PDK extensions into JDev (1012) per instructions on OTN and was able to create an application with a default web template using the portal item in the ViewController object. When I went through the wizzard to create this, I accepted all the defaults and tried to run the generated xxxShowPage.jsp
    When I do, I get a 500 internal server error that seems to be caused by a null pointer... before I paste the error stack in here, I just wanted to be sure to announce that I am a newbie with all this and appologize for obvious mistakes... thanks for the help.. now, the error stack:

  • Jdev 11 OC4J with Java 1.4 dont work

    Hi everyone,
    I have Jdev 11and all my web application work fine with java 1.5, but if I use the java 1.4 the oc4j don't start. Why ?

    It is possible to run an application in the embedded runtime with JDK 1.4 after running with JDK 1.5 but there is some workarounds you will need to perform. You can see my comments at the end of the following thread. The error message is somewhat different, so you could be experiencing a different problem.
    Re: Unsupported major.minor version 49.0
    If you run your application once in the embedded server using JDK 1.5 you must follow these steps:
    Before switching from JDK 5.0 to JDK 1.4.2, you must remove all compiled application files from the OC4J instance:
    1. Stop the OC4J instance.
    2. Delete the ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/instance/application-deployments directory.
    Deleting this directory will cause the application files to be recompiled when OC4J is restarted with JDK 1.4.2.
    This info was included in the 10.1.3.0 release notes and continues to hold true in 11g.
    Switching Between JDK 1.5 and JDK 1.4 When Running Applications in Embedded Server (4737312,4747983)
    Users must be cognizant of the JDK version being used when running applications in the embedded server. This is especially true when switching between versions of the JDK and working with multiple JDeveloper projects with different JDK versions.
    By default the embedded server starts with JDK 1.5. Once the server has run with JDK 1.5, running a JDK 1.4 based project (Project Properties->Libraries -> J2SE Version) will require that users follow the steps documented in chapter 4 (OC4J runtime configuration) of the Oracle Containers for J2EE Configuration and Administration Guide.
