  • Error when Create Session Bean in JDeveloper

    Hi All,
I followed the steps in the SRDemo tutorial to create Session bean SRPublicFacade. I used Create Session Bean wizard. Step 1 was ok. Step 2 when it's supposed to show all the POJOs and all methods (from Queries) it hang there, and skipped to Step 3 and so on... As a result I had an empty Session Bean with only class name and no methods in it. I do have correct database connection, and I have another project with similar Session Bean sucessfully. I just don't know what happened to this project or the way I created session bean this time. Any conflict when create Session Bean to the same database or something(?) Anyone has any idea please let me know.
    Thank you very much,
    John

    Frank,
Yes, I compiled the project before building the session facade. I used JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0
The thing is I once created successfully the session facade in another project, like SRdemo. Now I would like to repeat that in another project say SRdemo2, then it went wrong. It skipped step 2 in the wizard and look like it cannot detect the tables and named queries.
    Thanks,
    John

  • Error When Creating BPA Server Connection in Jdeveloper

    Hi,
I am trying to explore the concept of BPA Suite. I have created a BPMN process and enabled the option 'Share Blueprint with' under SOA. But when i am trying to make a BPA Server Connection in JDeveloper it is showing error like 'Connection Failed'. I am using Local Repository. Could you please help me on this issue.
    Thanks,
    Anju

Yes, you can choose XE at installation time for the LOCAL database in BPA (ARIS). And, since you say you do connect from BPA before trying to connect from JDev, we know the database is up.
One more thing to check is that both are the same version (10.1.3.4, hopefully).
When do you see the connection failed during the setup? It is after you select "local server"? That is, can you see your BPA database (project) show in the drop down and you get the error when you enter the BPA credentials? Or, do you get the error selecting local server in the first place? If so, you should see if you can get a Database connection from JDev to the database on XE - it may be that JDev can't find the database for some reason (proxy settings perhaps).
    Heidi.

  • JDeveloper shows a fatal error when create Database or UML Diagrams

My Platform is Windows 7 x64 with JDeveloper 11.1.2.3
JDeveloper shows an error when I do this:
    1) Create a new Database Diagram.
    2) Create a Table in this Database Diagram.
    3) Delete the Database Diagram.
    4) Try to create a new Database Diagram again.
    5) JDeveloper shows a Fatal Error, and the ADF Model Project still to be corrupt after restart JDeveloper.
The same happens with UML diagrams.
Do you know any solution for that?
    Best Regards,

I found the reason of this error.
This error happens, if you store your ADF Application Project in a Network Drive, if you store your projects in local drives all works fine.
    Regards,

    HI
    In JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0,
    1. Click on the tab for the Connections navigator.
    2. Right click on Application Server and select New Application Server Connection.
    3. Enter a descriptive name for the new connection, and select the appropriate connection type from the drop down list. Click Next.
    4. Specify oc4jadmin for User Name, then enter the oc4jadmin password. Click Next.
    5. Select Single Instance for Connect To, then provide the host name where BPEL is installed, the OPMN port number, and the OC4J instance name (the default for 10.1.3.1 is oc4j_soa). Click Next.
    6. Click Test Connection. If you have been successful, you should see "Success!"
    7. Now, right click on Integration Server and select New Integration Server Connection.
    8. Specify a connection name and click Next.
    9. In the drop down list by Application Server, select the Application Server Connection you just created. Again, specify the host name where BPEL is installed and the port number. This port number will be the same that you specified for the Integration Server Connection to the home OC4J container. Click Next.
    10. Test the connection. You should see something like:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: OK
    ESB Server: OK
    11. Now, return to the Applications navigator, and try to redeploy your process using the Integration Server Connection just created. (It is possible that you will have to close JDeveloper and then reopen it for this to work.)

  • Error when trying to log in Jdeveloper

I am not using APPS user to create a DB Connection to JDeveloper and so i am receiving the following error:
    ORA-06550: line 1, Column 12: PLS:00201:identifier 'JDR_MDS_INTERNAL.GETREPOSITORYVERSION' must be declared
    Urgent: Getting 'JDR_MDS_INTERNAL.GETREPOSITORYVERSION' error
I would like to know based on the above thread link is there any limitation that we cannot create a DB Connection in JDEV unless we use APPS user ??
In companies where developers are restricted not to use APPS how can they use JDeveloper tool there ???
    Please advise...
    Edited by: user12011641 on Mar 28, 2013 7:52 AM

If you dont have APPS access on database, even you should not be allowed to make changes using Jdeveloper. Now Jdeveloper is used to create forms and business objects which would either query or update the tables. Not having access/grants would restrict you from doing anything in Jdeveloper (no query, no updates etc). This is one of the reasons, I think, due to which Jdeveloper doesn't allow to function without APPS user.

  • JDeveloper link to MS SQL Server database MDS errors

The database connection to the SQL server can be successfully created and used (after putting the sqljdbc4.jar file into the project's path). Then when I try to use that db connection for a SOA-MDS connection, the "Messages" tab in JDev displays the following error:
WARNING: Error reading db partitions for connection name Connection1. Reason : MDS-00003: error connecting to the database
Unable to start the Universal Connection Pool: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: Error during pool creation in Universal Connection Pool Manager MBean: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: Error during pool creation in Universal Connection Pool Manager: java.sql.SQLException: Invalid Universal Connection Pool configuration: java.sql.SQLException: Unable to create factory class instance with provided factory class name: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerXADataSource
To get around this error, I explicitly added the sqljdbc4.jar file to the classpath by doing the following:
In the jar “C:\Oracle\Middleware_2\jdeveloper\jdev\extensions\oracle.mds.dt.jar”, need to modify the META-INF/extension.xml to include the classpath:
    <classpath>C:/Oracle/Middleware/jdeveloper/lib/sqljdbc4.jar</classpath>
Once this is done, then I can successfully create the SOA-MDS connection. I can also explore the MDS connection and see the names of available resources. However, the problem then comes again when a resource is actually chosen to be referenced in a composite. When choosing the resource or when trying to build after choosing the resource, an error is displayed that is the same as the original (reference above).
I tried following both of the workarounds located in the following link, but it does fix the error when attempting to use MDS resources. http://efreedom.com/Question/1-5805190/JDeveloper-DB-Based-MDS-Connection-Issue
It seems to me like JDeveloper uses multiple different class paths when doing different actions (creating DB link, creating MDS connection, using MDS resources, compiling projects that use MDS resources, etc.).
Please let me know if you know how to use an MDS that is based in a Microsoft SQL Server DB.
    Ben

I found a different way to implement the database connection that is used by the SOA-MDS connection. Instead of using the microsoft provided sqljdbc4.jar for the SQLServerDriver, I setup the db connection to instead use the Weblogic provided wlsqlserver.jar. I no longer need any of the workarounds mentioned previously and everything appears to be working. I can navigate the MDS resources as well as viewing and choosing to use them in the composites.
As a side note, any user that is used for the DB connection for MDS connections must have the SOA_MDS (or DEV_MDS, depending on the setup) schema as its default (Jdev assumes the user’s default schema and thus doesn’t define the whole path). Also, the user must have select and execute privileges on the SOA_MDS schema (direct or role-based) as it needs to query tables and execute stored procs.

  • Error when opening view object in Jdeveloper

    Hi,
EBS version is 11.5.10 RUP4. JDeveloper version is 9.0.3, Business Component Version is 9.0.3.13.93.
We need to modify a custom view object that has been extended from a standard VO. We do not have the original Java file of the custom VO, only its classes VOImpl and VORowImpl. As such, this should not be a problem: instead of modifying the custom VO we could extend it.
    The problem:
When trying to update/extend the custom VO we get an error:
Copy operation failed, some edits may not be cancellable
    Expected name instead of <.
    Exception in oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException
Tracing back the problem we got this same error when OPENING the original VO. The original VO is oracle.apps.asn.opportunity.server.OpptySearchVO
Any idea how we can solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Radu

    Radu,
What kind of change you are trying to do, If you are try to change only the query without adding any parameter, you can open the VO.xml in a text file and change it.
One more way is, create a new VO substitution with the same name, and extend the VO, then Copy the VOImpl and VORowImpl code into your new files and use it.
What is the Jdeveloper Version 9.0.3 or 9.0.3.5
What is the Build version for the Jdeveloper.
    Thanks.
    With Regards,
    Kali.

    What I'am doing wrong?

I don't know what is happening with Jdeveloper ?!?!
I have tryed the same example at home with Jdeveloper 11.1.1.0.0 Build JDEVADF_MAIN.DROP5_GENERIC_071218.2321.4796
    All works fine.....
What you think could be wrong (in my first post)? Why I have received the error? and why the same project works on other computer?
can someone reply to my post?

  • My JDeveloper doesnt provide the list of classes or methods when editing?

My JDeveloper doesnt provide the list of classes or methods when editing? This option I can use to autocomplete. For example when I want to code the following code line:
    system.out.printlin("Hello World");
The editor doesnt give me the list of the classes when I write system. and doesnt give me the list of methods when I write out.
My complete code is very simple and it is as follow
    package mypackage1;
    public class Hello
public static void main (String[] args)
    system.out.println("Hello World");
When I compile this code, the following error I got: Error(6,16): Identifier out not found
Kindly advise me how can I solve this problem..
    Regards,

    System.out
    not:
    system.out
