JDeveloper compile error without detailed message
Hi all.
When compiling my application i get compiler error on one EO without detailed message. When i check and validate source in xml everything seems to be ok. Are there any settings to further investigate the problem. I'm using jDeveloper 11.1.2.0 developing ADF application.
Suggestions welcome.

If i open xml file, everything is colored with green.i cant comment on this statement. because am not using release2.
did you change anything .xml which you mentioned.?
how did you generated EntityImpl for the EO?

Hi,
In short: How to suppress compiler errors without excluding the object from the "Schema Compare" tool ??
A bit longer:
We have a SQL Server 2008 project in Visual Studio 2013 running SQL Server Data Tool.
An old database, with a lot of history in, has been imported into SSDT and there are many syntax errors preventing the project from compiling/running. An typical error is: "SQL70001: This statement is not recognized in this context".
Running the "faulty" scripts on the server, executes just fine. I understand that there are syntax errors and they should be rewritten, but it's not gonna happen just like that - it is a slow process over a long period of time.
I know it is possible to change Build Action to None, but that also exclude the object from appearing in the Schema Compare function/window.
So - how to ignore some compiler errors and still having the objects to appear when doing "Schema Compare" ??
Thank you in advance.Hi Steven,
Thanks for your comments.
Well, it sure does help in the future, but right now i would prefer the other way - to suppress some errors and still allow the scripts to build.
The thing is that if we "rewrite" the objects into create scripts, then we have a huge test job ahead of us + the database environments (PROD vs DEV and UAT) does not share the same AD or DB users and therefore grants is lost if dropping/creating
objects, right!
If you drop a object before creating it, the drop will also drop the roles and grants and since they don't share user table, the create will not be able to add the permissions again. There might be a solution to that, but it is going to be very complicated
for some newbies like us. We need something we can trust.

I copied the BPEL flow project to our Linux server, where I was successfully able to compile and deploy the flow using devprompt and Ant. So, the problem is with JDev on my PC, but I'm not sure why though.
I have rebooted my PC, shutdown any unnecessary apps, and the problem continues. Will see if the problem exists with other flows.

Compilation Error while trying to Deploy my Web Service
My main problem right now is that I can build my classes without error but when it is time to deploy the web service with Jdeveloper I am getting a compilation error without to get info about what is the error itself:
Started application : RTAService-RTAService-WS
Binding web application(s) to site default-web-site begins...

I don’t know where to look at for this issue. I don't get information about what compilation error it is.
I am using the embedded oc4J application server coming with Jdeveloper Studio Edition 10.1.3.1.0_NT_0610009.1404.3984.
I was able with the same configuration to deploy a very simple Web Service you have in your tutorials named GetDates

Thanks for your timeHi mythri.
Did you find a way out of this error? Could you share the solution with me? Because I am facing a problem that looks just like the one you had.

CIN Compilation error in MSVC 6.0
I am trying to generate a CIN for the following example C code (mult.c)
* CIN source file
#include "extcode.h"
CIN MgErr CINRun(float32 *A, float32 *B, float32 *AB);
CIN MgErr CINRun(float32 *A, float32 *B, float32 *AB) {
*AB = *A * *B;
return noErr;
and I get the following error during compilation in MSVC6
fatal error C1010: unexpected end of file while looking for precompiled header directive
Error executing cl.exe.
my preprocessor path in project settings is
c:\progra~1\nation~1\Labvie~1.1\cintools\
I tried the full path name. I also tried putting the extcode.h in the same directory of mult.c and then explicitly added extcode.h in the project but
keep on getting the same error message.
I will greatly appreciate any pointer to what I am doing incorrectly.
kushalKushal:
Regular line oriented languages use a two step process of first
compiling individual module (.c or .cpp) files into object files and
then second linking them, i.e. setting them up into a single
executable and filling in all the address offsets with real addresses.
Finally, if the program uses a run-time library (.DLL) this gets
linked in when the program executes but for this to happen, the
program has to know that it is going to import (DLLIMPORT) these
functions so it can know the function entry points.
You can select build, compile your to compile filename.cpp (or
filename.c) to determine if there are any compile errors without
having to build the whole executable and link all your compiled
objects instead of Build, Rebuild All.
This way you can separate the problem into either a compile or a link
problem. If it compiles with no errors, but rebuild all gives you
errors, then the problem is definitely a link problem. From your
description, it sounds to me like you are having a link problem
Your particular problem is with the precompiled header (.PCH) file
that Microsoft Visual C is using to link with when building your
project. Something is broken with that PCH file. The good news is
that you don't usually need to use PCH files. It's just an option
that Microsoft uses to let you recompile your code faster (because
they've already been compiled hence precompiled header.)
Try turning off the use precompiled headers option. This may fix your
problem. If not then you may need to turn them back on and try to
figure out what is broken with your PCH file (perhaps it doesn't
exist?)
To turn off using PCH's look under the Project menu under settings,
switch to the C/C++ tab and then select Precompiled Headers under the
Category drop down selector on the C/C++ tab and tell it that you
don't want to use PCH's.
I hope this has been helpful.

How to send back the soap fault message without details tag to the sender
Hello Expert,
Is it possible to send the soap fault message(fault String element value) without details tag as shown below to the sender in synchrounous scenario.
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soapenv:Body>
<soapenv:Fault>
<faultcode>soapenv:Client</faultcode>
<faultstring>autorizarComprobanteRequest.comprobanteCAERequest.arrayOtrosTributos.otroTributo(1).codigo - El Código de Tributo es obligatorio.</faultstring>
<detail></detail>
</soapenv:Fault>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
I have to send the faultstring element value in one of the element in response message back to sender? Is it possible using BPM?The above fault response does not have a fault payload (no detail element) and would result in a system error message.So how to handle this?
If yes .Please tell me the BPM design
faultstring value will be dynamic.
Thanks in advanceThanks Yzanagi,
I have gone through the index.htm file.
In my scenario that is RFC -PI-soap(using http(Axis) protocol).when the webservice provider is sending the soap fault as.
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soapenv:Body>
<soapenv:Fault>
<faultcode>soapenv:Client</faultcode>
<faultstring>autorizarComprobanteRequest.comprobanteCAERequest.numeroComprobante - El Número de Comprobante debe ser mayor o igual a 1</faultstring>
<detail></detail>
</soapenv:Fault>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
In PI sxmb_moni it is converting to the error (system not application error)as shown below when using receiver soap adapter with https(Axis) transport protocol and Message protocol:Axis.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
- <!-- Inbound Message
-->
- <SAP:Error SOAP:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="MESSAGE">GENERAL</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1></SAP:P1>
<SAP:P2></SAP:P2>
<SAP:P3></SAP:P3>
<SAP:P4></SAP:P4>
<SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: autorizarComprobanteRequest.comprobanteCAERequest.numeroComprobante - El Número de Comprobante debe ser mayor o igual a 1.</SAP:AdditionalText>
<SAP:Stack></SAP:Stack>
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
</SAP:Error>
As my requirement was (I have mentioned in my first question) that I want to pass
SAP:AdditionalText tag
value back to sender in one of the elements of response message payload or handle using fault message mapping if this error could be converted to application error and map to the RFC exception but unfortunately which is not possible even using AXIS adapter.
so other option to inform the sender RFC is mentioned here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/22/0425e0488911d189490000e829fbbd/content.htm
but while handling the SYSTEM_FAILURE exception from PI at sender in report program and displaying the msg variable ,I am not getting complete error message..It is getting truncated.Is there a limit to the no of character the msg variable contains which is set by system.Even if we declare msg variable with more length(for example char length 500) it is just displaying part of the error message from PI.
Any Idea to read complete system error message from PI in report program at RFC sender..
Kind Regards,

I am using AJAX for search functionality in our appication which involves ADF JSF,jspx pages in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0. When I compile the following code it compiles fine without error in jdk1.5 but gives compilation error in jdk1.4.2_15.
public List<String> autoCompleteFindUniqueNames(String searchString){
UniqueEmployeeNamesImpl hits = this.getUniqueEmployeeNames1();
hits.setNamedWhereClauseParam("searchPrefix",searchString.toUpperCase()+ "%");
hits.setRangeSize(5);
hits.executeQuery();
ArrayList resultset = new ArrayList((int)hits.getEstimatedRowCount());
for (Row row:hits.getAllRowsInRange()){
resultset.add((String)row.getAttribute("LastName"));
return resultset;
Compilation error giving on the line " for (Row row:hits.getAllRowsInRange()){ "
and it says " Error ; Expected "
Can somebody helpme out what should I change on this line in order to compile this ?
Thanks in advance,
RamFrank,
Thanks for your response. I removed <String> after LIST and it compiles. But the problem
is with the following iterator code which is giving error while compiling in jdk1.4.2_15. Trying to find out the equivalent iterator code of the following which is in jdk1.5
Row row:hits.getAllRowsInRange()
Thanks,

I have a weird problem that adding a serverListerner component on jspx page causes compilation error:
The class of the deferred-methods return type "{0}" can not be found.
No property editor found for the bean "javax.el.MethodExpression"
If I remove serverListener (to pass compilation) and then add it again in run-time, it works normally (the backing bean method is being triggered correctly, including passing params, etc).
It is happening only on the current project, but when I make a test case it works normally. I suspect it has something with the project settings, but I couldn't find the cause regarding that the project has advanced and there are so many differences to be able to do simple comparison.
Does anyone know what could be the reason for af:serverListener to break compilation, please?
... from jspx page...
<af:resource type="javascript">
function aaa(event) {
var esrc = event.getSource();
AdfCustomEvent.queue(esrc, "bbb", {fvalue : "TEST"},true);
event.cancel();
</af:resource>
<af:inputText label="Label 1" id="it1">
<af:clientListener method="aaa" type="click"/>
<af:serverListener type="bbb" method="#{backing_bean.onClick}"/>
</af:inputText>
... from BB ...
public void onClick(ClientEvent clientEvent) {
String message = (String) clientEvent.getParameters().get("fvalue");
System.out.println(message);
}Hi,
Try like this
<trh:script>clientListenerMethoName= function(event) {
var source = event.getSource();
AdfCustomEvent.queue( source, "serVerListenerType", {}, false); }
</trh:script>
Next :
<af:clientListener method="clientListenerMethoName" type="click"/>
<af:serverListener type="serVerListenerType" method="#{beanName.methodName}"/>

The error message in excel 2003 : "compile error in hidden module AutoExecNew" could be caused by Adobe Acroate add ins, thats waht microsoft told me.I use windows xp service pack3.I have got reader newest version and photoshop 6.0. With this and also with an older reader version I got the error message when opening excel. what can I do?
Best regards RayIf you have Adobe Reader, you (probably) don't have Adobe Acrobat, a
commercial ($$) product. 5.0 is a very old release.
But you can check if the files are there anyway from long ago. See

BPEL Compilation Error: Load of wsdl "with Message part element undefined..
Hi Friends,
I am getting following error while compiling my BPEL process:
Error: Load of wsdl "FTPWrite.wsdl with Message part element undefined in wsdl [file:/D:/MyData/_MyProjects/052_Amazon_MetadataInterface/001_SVN/002_Intl/trunc/MetadataInterfaceIntl_2013Apr15_WorkingCode/MetadataInterface_Intl/MetadataInterface_Intl.wsdl] part name = reply type = {http://com.fox.metadata/MetadataInterfaceIntl/MetadataInterface_Intl/types}processResponse" failed
However the reply message is already defined in the MetadataInterface_Intl.wsdlas shown below:

Surprisingly, this same code was compiling file last week and now I have no clue why I am getting this error. Can someone please shade some light on this issue?
Thanks,
Sachin.Hello
I have had the same problem in Oracle BPM and solved it using the following steps:
1- In your application navigator window, expand the project that contains the business rule.
2- In the SOA Content, double click on your wsdl file.
3- When the file opens, select the schema view from the bottom of the page.
4- In the schema view, expand all the schema nodes and check if you see any values in red. If you see one, that value has probably caused the error and you should correct it using the property inspector window.
In my case, the schema location value was set to a wrong path, so I changed it and the error resolved.
Also, some error that appear as warning in the rule editor will show as compile error later, such as input types not being used and such, so those must be resolved before compiling.
Hope that was helpful
good luck -
Printing Error without message
In trying to print a basic document, I'm getting an error message without any message:
InDesign 5, OSX 10.6.x. Since there's no message, I'm not sure where to start
thanks
AProblem solved, it was a bad font, of all things. I was using Gentium 1.02 in the document, and changing that for Geneva made the error go away. I was able to download a newer version of Gentium and swap it in, and all continues to work. It would have been nice to get a real error from ID but at least the problem is solved
