Jdeveloper deploy without ascontrol_admin role

Hi,
Can anyone suggest how I can enable the deployment of code via JDeveloper among various project groups without giving them an Id that has the ascontrol_admin role?
I want to used the capability of packaging, deployment etc.. of applications via JDev. but not enable them to login to enterprise manager (for example).
Thank you for any comments or suggestions.
M

Hi,
Option 1 for less frequent deployments:
===============================
why don't you let them create EAR files, upload them to a specific directory for which you set up a scheduled job that deploys the EAR files using the OC4J command line?
Option 2 for frequent deployments:
================================
If you need them to deploy directly then an option would be to provide a connection profile to import.
- Go to View --> Connection Navigator
- Select Application Server node and choose export Connections
- Select the connections to export
Have the developers doing the same except for that they import the exported connection. The password is encrypted and so tehy can't connect to OC4J directly

  • Pictures not loaded in a Web Page Composer site without admin role

    Hello!
    I have got an new problem concerning SAP Web Page Composer.
    I have created an new site with some paragraphs and some pictures. The problem is when I, with admin role, access this site I am able to see everything. When another user, without admin role, is trying to access this site he is able to see everything but the pictures. All paragraphs or linklists are displayed but the pictures are not available. When giving the user the admin role he also become able to see the pictures.
    I know it is a permisson problem but not know where I forgot to set the permissions to "every user". But I do not understand why this is only concerning the pictures and every other Web Page Composer element is displayed properly, although the pictures permissions set to the same as the other elements. When trying to access the pictures by the user without admin role NetWeaver is throwing following exception:

  • Use share located at server without SCCM roles

    Hi,
    The scenario is the following: sccm 2012 R2.
    2 servers: first one is the server where sccm was installed and is DP too. Second server only is DP.
    I need to deploy aditional software which source files are located at third server (without sccm roles).
    Problem: When creating additional packages, I use a share located at the third server, and distribute the content to the second server (only DP role), but the package never distribute to the DP (in the sccm console I get an
    error).
    The question is:
    It is possible to use source files located at a server without sccm roles?
    Thanks in advance!

    Source file access by the site server has nothing to do with the network access account.
    Yes, the computer account for the site server must have access to the UNC where the source files are located -- both NTFS and share permissions (as Jörgen mentioned) There's no need to make it a local admin.
    Note that the location of the source files has nothing to do with where the clients get those files from; clients always get source files from DPs.

  • How to develop and deploy multiple worker roles in single azure cloud services?

    I am Manikandan, From Myeasydocs.com.
    We have developed our application as web projects.  Now we are going to move to azure cloud services, i have successfully migrated our application in cloud services and it worked fine. I am having difficulties with back ground task. i have nearly 12
    schedule tasks in our applications. I need assist on creating multiple worker role creation and deployment.
    Is there is any site on explaining the worker role process in details?
    Thanks in advance .. !!

    Hi,
    In Worker role, Applications hosted within worker roles can run asynchronous, long-running or perpetual tasks independent of user interaction or input. It is a service component that is useful for generalized development, and may perform background processing
    for a web role. A worker role is frequently used for long-running tasks that are non-interactive, but you can host any type of workload.
    I suggest you to follow the below article which explains about Creating and Deploying of Web Roles and Worker Roles in Azure Cloud Service using Visual Studio.

    Hope this helps !

  • Deleting print drivers on Windows Server 2008 R2 without Print Role

    Hi,
    I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 with Citrix Xenapp for published desktops meaning that i need to add a number of different printers to the server for the various users. Unfortunately i have some printer drivers that i think are conflicting and want to remove
    these from the server.
    How can i do this without adding the Print and Document Services role? Without this role i don't believe i can access 'Print Management' in the same way that i would with a Windows 7 client and then remove the driver package.
    Is there another way that i can do this or should i be adding this role just to remove these drivers and then perhaps removing the role (if necessary), assuming that this is possible?
    Thanks for any help.

    add the tools for print management
    in elevated cmd window
    dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:Printing-AdminTools-Collection
    If you already have local shared prints on the server, add the role.  Adding the Role installs the tools and opens the File and print sharing firewall port which would have been achieved by adding a shared printer. You do not need to add the Print
    role to setup a machine as a print server, it's not a requirement.

  • Deploy different Web roles on different Operating Systems?

    The following roles are deployed to Windows Azure Cloud Services.
    Is it possible to deploy the ARR Role (see image) on Windows 2008 and the Web Role on Windows 2012?
    Or can you choose only one OS (osfamily) for all Roles?
    Best Regards, Simon de Kraa.

    hi,
    Sorry, I have misunderstood your meaning.
    Generally speaking, we could set our cloud service OS version in "ServiceConfiguration" node (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/ee758710.aspx ),like
    your tried. I suggest you could try this method. You could create two VHD, one is  win server 2012 image,and another is win server 2008 image. And then when you deployment, you could set your "OsImage
    " in your role (refer to
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/jj156212.aspx). Like this code in ServiceConfiguration node:
    <ServiceConfiguration …>
    <Role name="<role-name>" vmName="<vm-name>">
    <Instances count="<number-of-instances>" />
    <ConfigurationSettings>
    <Setting name="<setting-name>" value="<setting-value>" />
    </ConfigurationSettings>
    <Certificates>
    <Certificate name="<certificate-name>" thumbprint="<certificate-thumbprint>" thumbprintAlgorithm="<algorithm>" />
    </Certificates>
    <OsImage href="<vhd_image_name>" />
    </Role>
    </ServiceConfiguration>
    The method seems like complicated. But I guess it will meet you requirement.
    Please try it.
    Thanks.

    #### Cannot run application adfm-new due to error deploying to DefaultServer.
    [Application adfm-new stopped and undeployed from Server Instance DefaultServer]

    Deployment issue is not specific to mobile - do you see the same deployment issue when trying to run this application using a desktop browser?
    This may be caused by Windows Firewall settings - please make sure there is no firewall software blocking localhost:port access - in this access it appears to be localhost:7102.
    Firewall issue can also prevent you from accessing the application from a mobile emulator - Windows Mobile emulator acts as its own network device, and needs to access the integrated WLS server in JDev through the network.
    Lastly, when testing in Windows Mobile emulator, please use the IP address of the machine you are running JDeveloper in the URL. Windows mobile emulator does not understand "localhost".

  • Jdeveloper deploying error: oracle.bpel.services.datacontrol.types.Number

    I have migrated a BPEL process from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.5. When deploying my migrated BPEL process from JDEVELOPER I get the following error:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.bpel.services.datacontrol.types.Number
    I found this: http://www.orastudy.com/oradoc/selfstu/fusion/integration.1111/e10226/appx_trouble.htm
    If you see the following error:
    Caused By:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
    oracle.bpel.services.datacontrol.ty
    pes.Number
    during deployment of a task form, then it is likely due to the missing shared library in weblogic.xml. Add the following element in weblogic.xml:
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>oracle.soa.worklist.w
    ebapp</library-name>
    <specification-version>11.1.1</spec
    ification-version>
    </library-ref>
    But, when I add this element in weblogic.xml, deployment fails with a new error:
    [Deployer:149193]Operation 'deploy' on application 'Reclamaciones' has failed on 'soa_server1'
    [Deployer:149034]An exception occurred for task [Deployer:149026]deploy application Reclamaciones on soa_server1.: Failed to load webapp: 'oracle.soa.worklist.webapp'.
    Weblogic Server Exception: weblogic.application.ModuleException: Failed to load webapp: 'oracle.soa.worklist.webapp'
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.taglib.region.RichDeclarativeComponentTag
    See server logs or server console for more details.
    weblogic.application.ModuleException: Failed to load webapp: 'oracle.soa.worklist.webapp'
    Taskflow deployment failed to deploy to server. oracle.jdeveloper.deploy.DeployException: Remote deployment failed
    #### Deployment incomplete. ####
    I would appreciate any help from you .
    Thanks in advance

  • Using Semantic Logging out of Proc, want to log current Deployment Id and Role Id in SLABLogsTable as it does itself in WADWindowsEventLogsTable.

    In our application, we are implementing SLAB Out of Proc. I want to log current Deployment Id and Role Id in SLABLogsTable as it does itself in WADWindowsEventLogsTable.
    I can do this by adding custom parameters in payload but then I need to pass them in each and every event raised.
    But in WADWindowsEventLogsTable, deployement Id , Role , Role Instance are logged on its own.
    How do I get those for event raised by my application.

    Hi,
    Per my understanding, if you want to leverage the automatic DeploymentId and Role data logging for WADWindowsEventLogsTable, you could try something like:
    Trace.TraceError("Messages");
    EventLog.WriteEntry("MySource","Messages",EventLogEntryType.Error);
    Which mentioned in
    http://weblogs.asp.net/jdanforth/how-to-do-custom-event-logging-and-trace-writing-in-azure. If you mean you don't want to repeat coding the implementation to achieve/pass the DeploymentId and Role data every time you call
    this.WriteEvent(101, txt, deploymentId, roleId); from my experience since deployment ID and role data are constant, you can write a helper method:
    WriteEventHelper(int code, string text)
        // You can also get the value of DeploymentId/Role via
    RoleEnvironment Properties
        this.WriteEvent(code, text, deploymentId, roleId);
    then whenever you want to write logs, you call this helper method intead of calling WriteEvent directly.
    Best Regards,

  • Identifying users without DEFAULT ROLE ALL

    I want to query the database catalog to identify users who have been defined without DEFAULT ROLE ALL. Unfortunately I do not see anything in DBA_USERS that would tell me this.
    I suppose I could run DBMS_METADATA.EXTRACT_DDL to generate scripts for all users, and examine the output, but I would like something more direct.
    Thanks,
    Mike Tefft

    DBA_ROLE_PRIVS will tell me if there are any non-default roles. But it will not tell me if the user has been set for DEFAULT ROLE ALL.
