Jdeveloper lack of Reporting Feature

I am using JDeveloper 10G 3 which have no any reporting feature... Can Oracle provide integration between JDeveloper and Report Builder... OR is it easy to use Reporting services to deploy oracle reports.

Hi,
you are right that there is no integrated reporting. However, this is not an intention of JDeveloper.
You can add reporting in Java using BIPublisher of JasperReports. To call Oracle Reports, you can use the web URL access of Oracle Reports on the web .

Question on Interactive Report feature sorting

Hi,
I have about over 10,000 records and used the interactive report feature on Apex. For some reason, on the timestamp column, I tried to resort in the latest date and it only shows the latest date of last year and didn't show the latest date of 2010. I tried changing the timestamp column to sort by descending, and it doesn't show any latest date in 2010, only 2009.
Could this be an issue with the interactive report issue.

Hi,
If you have default 10,000 row limit in interactive report , sorting work only for that record set.
Increase rows that report show, or you can use ORDER BY in report select to get e.g. 10,000 latest row.

About the iPhone and it's "lack of basic features"

There are SO MANY rants going on in this discussing board about the iPhone lacking "basic features" of a cellphone. Here is my response to all of them at once. (I know this has nothing to do with user-to-user technical support, but the topic is discussed on here enough to warrant this post.)
Sure, I would like to be able to send texts messages to multiple contacts, I would love to be able to add my own ringtones, copy and paste, and picture message. Here's the deal, Apple didn't set out to create a product with those features, they didn't set out to create a product that is like all the others or that has all the best features that every other phone has. They started over. They didn't compare it to any other phone. They have said over and over that the iPhone is a completely new product from the ground up. Sure it includes some features that can be found in phones that came before it, but it's all done in a new way. It's not some super phone that combines the best of every smartphone out there. They were very open about this and listed EVERYTHING the phone was going to be capable of. No, they didn't tell you the things that it wouldn't do, that's not the angle they were taking when designing and marketing this product, no one does that. The iPhone does everything they said it would do and does it better than any other phone that has the same features. So how can anyone come on here a gripe about it lacking basic features? The features I listed above are features that someone else reading this may never need or want. Basic features to you are not going to be basic features to me. Basic features 3 years ago are not basic features today nor will they be in 3 years. There are no basic features when it comes to the iPhone, other then perhaps the phone part. When you set out to create a product from the ground up, you don't start with a list of features that need to be included. You start with a blank slate and build on that, from your own ideas, your own technology, not based on what anyone else is doing or what has been done in the past. This is what Apple has done, and they have been very clear about it from day one. So please, if you feel that the iPhone lacks the "basic features" on a cell phone, take it back so that someone else can have that phone and enjoy its "basic features," that are like no other phone before it.

Your posting should have went to the Apple.com feedback section instead of posting it here in the user to user forum, this goes back to doing research on what the iphone can and cannot do before making the purchase you have to remember this is just the first generation iphone just like there was a first generation ipod most likely they'll be enhancements coming up for the iphone i myself am happy with my iphone, how many cell phones out there have visual voicemail?

Issue in the Reporting feature of SAP BPC NW 7.0

I am facing an issue with respect to the Reporting feature in SAP BPC NW 7.0 version. I am supposed to generate a P&L report using the EVDRE function.
Issue-
In the report that I have generated, the system is retrieving only a subset of the broad-level P&L heads. e.g. while BPC is retrieving the EBITDA, EBIT and PAT figures, it is not retrieving the Depreciation, Interest and Tax figures in the report. All the members that are not getting displayed are members with ACCTYPE= 'EXP', while the ones getting displayed are members with ACCTYPE= 'INC'.
Even though the 'EXP' figures are not getting displayed, the amounts are getting deducted correctly. (i.e. even though Interest amount is not getting displayed in the report, the PBT figure being displayed is correctly calculated as PBT= EBIT-Interest).
Also, I am able to see the amount in Interest payments, if I drill to the base-member elements (G/Ls in my case)
Would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on what might be the probable issue.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I suppose, I was not very clear about my problem. The issue is with regards to the value for the Account-dimension members with ACCTYPE = 'EXP' and not with the members per se.
Setting the MemberSet Filter addresses the issue of getting particular Dimension members in the report. In my case, I am already seeing all the necessary members in my report (I have explicitly created a list of all the members I want to see in my report in the MemberSet parameter). However, I am not able to see any values for these members for any of the time periods (even though the values exist).
Also, I don't get any values for some of the INC items as well (e.g. OperationsIncome) inspite of the fact that the base member G/Ls under this account hold values.
Would appreciate any help towards resolving this issue.

Can you please confirm if you are using SharePoint Foundation or SharePoint Server Enterprise version ?
As with SharePoint Foundation Audit Log is not available, you can check below links -

1> Web Intelligence XI 3.0 introduces Smart Measures to delegate aggregation to the database.
2> New querying functions are available in XI Release 3 are:
a> Optional Prompt: Allows you to define a prompt as optional when building a query. The SQL generated for the query depends on how the report user responds or declines to respond to the prompt.
b> The Explicit empty string: Allows the report user to retrieve rows that have an empty value with the explicit empty string in a list of values.
c> Delegated LOV Search: Allows you to delegate the search for values in a LOV to the database. This feature prevents the LOV from being automatically loaded and the user from refreshing it. The user can perform a search for a pattern in the database. This feature restricts the data set returned and limits the load time to one acceptable to the user.
For example, when using an optional prompt, you can prevent the LOV from loading automatically because you are not sure the report user wants to respond to the prompt. This can save the user some time.
d> Percentage Rank: Enhances the existing u201CRanku201D query filter that bases the ranking on the top or the bottom of a given measure. The Percentage rank allows you to rank a percentage of the dimension volume, sliced (or not), on a second dimension.
The ranking is performed at the database level and is database specific. This feature is only available in the Java Report Panel Query view.
e> Query Sampling: Allows you to define random, seeded sampling in the query. The sampling is performed at the database and is database-specific.
This is different from the maximum number of rows retrieved option at the microcube level.
The formula functions can be divided into functions that allow Web Intelligence to close the gap with Desktop Intelligence, and formula enhancements.
3> Functions that close the gap with Desktop Intelligence are:
a> Forcemerge: When applied to a measure, this allows Web Intelligence to take into account for calculation merge dimensions even when they are not provided explicitly in the context of the calculation.
Forcemerge is similar to the Desktop Intelligence Multi cube function. It provides Web Intelligence with a calculation capability for synchronized data equal to that of Desktop Intelligence.
b> DataproviderType: Differentiates between personal data providers and universe data providers.

I downloaded a sample code, Forms and Reports Feature/Benefit Demo, from OTN sample code site. During the installation it says that my system (NT 4.0 Workstation with Oracle8 Server Release 8.0.6) does not have Oracle WebDB Listener. Where can I download it? Can I install it on a NT workstation (not a web server)? If not, is there other way to make that demo working? Thanks.

Bug report / Feature enhancement request.

I'm actually quite surprised that this nees to be reported as a problem.
Why is it that the "World Clock" widget used in the dashboard doesn't have, built in, the time zone "GMT"?
Yes, I can add it myself using the instructions on the net but it just seems so wierd that it's not in there to begin with.
So, please, take this as a bug report/feature enhancement request to correct this oversight.

Reporting feature --- Impl. project to template comparison

- how much does an implementation project inherits from the template project and how much is defined locally?

Please try the following:
(1) SOLAR_EVAL
(2) Analysis -> Project -> Business Blueprint -> Administration -> General Status Analysis
(3) In the selection screen, please do the following
      (a) Name of the Implementation Project (not the Template Project)
      (b) Under 'Display Project Structure', choose 'Display Completely'
      (c) Browse the screen down, under 'Global Attribute' select 'Display Global Attribute' checkbox
(4) Execute
This should present a structure which has ALL elements of the Blueprint Structure alongside the Global Attributes duly shown.
However, if the Global Attributes at a higher level had not been 'passed down' - either by mistake or by design, that column would have blank values for various rows.
So long as the 'Global Attribute' had been passed down to all levels or was carefully selected at each level in Template Project, this analysis would help you know and identify the rows that have this column with 'blank value', and thus locally introduced in Implementation Project.
Though it isn't as slick a way as you may have looked forward to hearing, this is the only straight report that I can think of now.
If I get any other ideas, will update this thread at a later date

No GRC reporting is provided for AE 5.2, however like Asok pointed out, there is BI content deliverd for AE 5.3.

I would like to know where I can find documentation about the "Advanced Monitoring and Report" feature on ACS server version 5.1.0.44-3. I would like find information about the installation, benefit of this feature, and how to use advanced monitoring and report feature.

In ACS 5.0 there was a separate licensed feature that enabled additional monitoring and troubleshooting features such as alarms, thresholds and additonal reports. In ACS 5.1 this functionality is included by default as part of the base product

I have 3 ORACLE HOMES on my machine.
OraHome81 - contains the Oracle database server (ver 8.1.7.0.0)
d2k_home - contains Developer 2000 suite. Currently, I have only installed Oracle Forms 6.0.8.13.0 in this home
repository_home - contains the Oracle repository client.
I have installed Oracle Reports 6.0.8.11.3 component of the Repository Client Installation in RESPOSITORY_HOME on my machine. However, the Repository Reports feature in the RON (Repository Object Navigator) is still disabled.
