JECS, JECX, JA1X & JA1Y Not appearing in Dev Client

Dear All,
My Basis consultant has installed Developement Server & applied all the patches.
But I could not able to see JECS, JECX, JA1X & JA1Y Condition types in both FI & SD Areas.
Whether we need to apply CIN related patches seperately?
Pls clarrify.

Flash [?] drive not appearing in /dev/disk/by-uuid

I'm not sure if "flash drive" is the correct term or not ... the filesystem I want to mount is on a Sansa c240 MP3 player (a refurbished unit I bought last week), which connects via USB. Now, I *can* mount the drive, and have been able to all along, but I would like to add a line in /etc/fstab, using the device name from /dev/disk/by-uuid, so I can mount the thing conveniently under my regular username. But the device is not listed in /dev/disk/by-uuid (I've checked many times over the last couple of days).
That's not how it started, though. When I first brought the thing home and plugged it in, it did appear in /dev/disk-by-uuid. But I ran into some difficulties, and in the course of trying to make the player play nice with Linux, I formatted the drive once or twice using the player's internal command--still no problem as long as I did that. But then, following somebody's recommendation, I ran mkfs.vfat on the partition under Linux ... and that seems to have coincided with the device's disappearing from /dev/disk/by-uuid.
Now, I gather that USB flash drives and such don't always have UUIDs, but this one apparently does:
# blkid /dev/sdc1
/dev/sdc1: LABEL="Sansa c240" UUID="CC07-5165" TYPE="vfat"
And, as you can see, the partition is definitely visible, and I can mount it as /dev/sd*1, and copy files to it. It also has an entry under /dev/disk/by-id, just not under /dev/disk/by-uuid. Any ideas why that might be, or what I can do about it?

Sorry for the necrobumping..but I have the same problem on a headless server running the 2.6.31 kernel, and not just with flashdrives but any usb storage: I see the uuid with blkid, yet they don't show up in /dev/disk/by-uuid/ . I can mount them with /dev/sd[a-z][0-9] but I rather use uuids in my mount-scripts. Is there any solution other than making the symlinks in /dev/desk/by-uuid myself?

solved it myself:
The cause was 'OPTIONS="last_rule"' that I added to some lines in a udev-rule file I made in /udev/rules.d/ for automounting usb drives based on the ones here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ude … SB_devices. After removing those parts both my udev rule gets executed and the links in /dev/disk/by-uuid are created when inserting a usb drive.

One of my folios does not appear in dev app

I'm testing a dev app prior to an R25 app update submission to Apple and a funny thing has come up: I can see all the previously published folios... except for one.
All the folios are published as Free/Public, all with the same Product ID, etc. When I launch the existing R22 app, I can see and download all the folios. It's only when I launch the R25 dev app that one particular folio is missing from the Library screen. It's neither the oldest nor the newest folio, nor does it employ any format that differs from the other folios.
Any idea why?

you said all with the same product IDs? I hope you mean all product ID's are unique for every folio because they have to be unless ofcourse its a rendition. Contact support or PM me the details for that account and I will take a look.

[SOLVED] USB storage devices do not appear as /dev/ block devices

Hello. I'm experiencing the exact same problem described in this thread and this thread
I'm running linux-ck-ivybridge. Both of these threads are marked solved but I don't get their solutions. Could someone help me understand what all this means? I think most of my confusion stems from the fact that most of these posts were made before the move to systemd, since they're referencing /etc config files that don't exist on my system anymore.

BPC NW - Action pane not appearing in excel client

Dears,
I am working with excel (2003 SP3) BPC 7 NW client on my laptop, remotely connected to a WDF server (windows vista).
I just cannot activate the BPC action pane from the etools menu. I have already tried under .xls , xlt and .xltm formats.
It seems the BPC macros are not correctly installed.
Could anybody kindly give me a solution please?

What version of SAP BPC NW are you using?
Windows vista is not supported before SP2 of SAP BPC 7.0 NW which will be released 13 March 2009.

Crystal Reports - Charts do not appear on reports in some cases

We have a few reports that include charts on them (created with Crystal 2008 Designer). These reports have run fine for quite a while but this morning we got a support call with a client reporting that though the reports process and appear correctly, the charts do not appear - instead the client can see a box where the charts should be - but no charts appear.
Wait... This has a curve ball...
The same client then ran our application on the SAME machine, but in a VM (virtual machine) on that machine, and now, the charts appear!
I can understand that if a machine is low on memory, charts might not appear - but then why when a VM is used on the same machine do charts suddenly appear?
Is there any way, any suggestion someone can offer by which I can 'trap' this situation in code, PRIOR to producing a report that is going to have a big blank spot where a chart normally appears?

Nope... Not video corruption... We finally figured it out...
Its the 12_0 runtime. Run it, and you dont see any charts, no errors, no warnings, just no charts - update to the 12_1 runtime and voila, charts are suddenly present.
Just to be sure we were not going nuts we uninstalled, reinstalled the 12_0 and no charts again - put in the 12_1 runtime and there they are again.
Problem solved.

CUPC softkey not appeared

I have a call manager 8.6 ,Unity Connection 8.6,Presence 8.5
Problem Description:

I have 2 issues
1-I am using CUPC client 8.5.6 and I added it as cisco client services framework ,the problem was the softkey not appeared on the client PC
2-Voice mail not appeared on CUPC client

Another common cause for Soft Phone not working is TFTP traffic being blocked.
From the local workstation you can perform the follwoing test:
Open Command prompt: Start -> Run -> cmd
tftp -i GET .cnf.xml
For example, if my TFTP Server is 10.0.0.1 and the CSF Device name is csftest, then the command to test tftp traffic from the workstation would be:
tftp -i 10.0.0.1 GET csftest.cnf.xml
If you get Connection Timed out, then disable any security software such as Windows Firewall or Anti Virus and then test again and now if it works, just add exception for "Cisco Unified Personal Communicator" and "Cisco Unified Client Services Framwork" processes and then enable the Security Softwares and re-launch CUPC.

Second Dev. Client not appearing in Project Task List

Hi,
While defining the CHARM Maintenance Project in systems tab is it necessary to add all the logical components ( I have 2 development clients 130 as workbench & 100 as customizing so i need to add two logical components) before clicking 'Create Task List' button.
I created the task for one logical component 130->330->720 first time & project defined successfully with consistency check.
Now when I am adding 2nd logical component 100->330->730 & created IMG Project. But If I go to 'Show Task List' I am not able to find 100 client under source system development. Means 100 client is not in the Task List of Project.
Is there any way to add the Dev Client 100 in Task List of the Project under Source Systems->Development System

Signature is not showing in Quality Server but appearing in Dev. Server

Hi Experts,
I have created a Sap-script in which I have given Signature using SE78, creating the file in .BMP format and then using Inclulde command in SAP_SCRIPT editor.
Later we have send that Script to the Quality Server where that Signature is not appearing. Could please anyone tell me the coz and soluation of it.
Early responses are most welcome.

Thanks Amit for neat and clean reply for this issue. Yes the problem was that this logo was not available in the Quality system and later I used SE78 and given the same name which was present in the Layout Include command.
Do I need to repeat the same step for Live Server also ?

In case of Factory sales, ECS values alone are not appearing in the sale order
and billing document even after maintaining excise rates in J1ID as 2% and condition
record as 100% for both JECS and JECX condition types, finally I checked with tax
code but still I am facing same problem. But same 2% values are appearing in J1IIN
screen.
Please help me out in solving this problem.

Ensure the following in your pricing procedure, for condition type JECS.
- The "From-To" step number should be the step number of JEX2.
- The Calculation Type should be 366
- For JEX2, Calculation Type 353 and Account Key EXD are maintained

Pictures not appearing in after upgrade to SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP7 Patch4

Hello,
Due to some issues in Advanced search we performed the service pack upgrade from SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP5 (with MDM 7.1.03.72) to SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP7 Patch4 ( MDM 7.1.04.146). With this new SP, the Pictures are not appearing anymore under the Hyperlink section anwhere in Catalog browser( Compare, Context view, Item details). With earlier SP pictures were appearing perfectly.
We have done like this:( refer earlier thread - Re: SRM MDM Catalog 3.0 Image display) thanks Sudhanshu, Jitesh and Mandeep for suggesting that solution!
Using the hyperlink field
type : rendered
MIME type : image type i.e. .jpg
URL : web URL
We had gone for this option because we dont want to store impages in MDM, and this worked perfoectly until new SP upgrade.
Any clues?

Hi Bala,
Nothing appears under the Hyperlink section in Catalog browser, though a valid link exists in Data Manager under Hyperlink as type-Rendered, MIME type as JPG and a valid URL.
I have searched Service Market place for this fix of this issue and found that SAP has improved the technology ( from Object Cache to Blob Cache) to display pictures/hyperlinks from SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP06 and MDM 7.1SP04 onwards. We were on SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP05 and MDM 7.1 SP03 before Dev upgrade.
Here are the notes for reference of others who get into same issue.
Note 1450593 - Implementation of BlobCache
This note states "MDM7.1 SP04 offers new image caching functionality called Blob Cache. The old functionality of Object Cache is replaced with the Blocb Cache mechanism in Catalog 3.0 SP06 P1"
Note 1505796 - Images not showing in SRM-MDM catalog (error in BlobCache)
This note talks about the issue in MDM API with Blob Cache. The Fix has been provided in SRM-MDM Catalog SP08 Patch 01.
But upgrade is not something that happens on the drop of a hat, we dont want to do another upgrade, I would like to know if there is a workaround.

BED value not appearing in J1IIN

Currently I am into an implementation project and I am configuring CIN.My tax procedure is TAXINN. But after doing all the configuration, while doing J1IIN, BED value in invoice is not appearing in BED field (J1IIN Screen). However Edu Cess and Hr Edu Cess value is flowing properly in their respective field. I am using std condition for BED (JEXP) and I have already maintained this condition in Logistic General-Tax on Goods mov-IndiaBasic settingdetermination of excise duty--- maintain excise default.

Hi,
In this case if your BED condition type is in 'Percentage' then please check your settings for 'Maintain Excise Defaults'.
Here maintain your percentage BED condition type 'JEXP' in 'BED Per' column and maintain ' JEXT' which is a condition type for 'BED total' in the 'A/R BED cond' column.
If you maintain these settings your values for BED will flow in J1IIN, But provided you have mainatined 'JEXT' condition type in your pricing procedure.

External hard drive doesn't appear in /dev/sd*

My 7 month old external hard drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6822136471) doesn't seem to work anymore. It doesn't appear in /dev/sd* nor 'sudo lsusb'. It used to work fine. I've tried multiple usb ports, multiple computers, and multiple OS (linux and windows). Any ideas what I could try next? Are there any tools to diagnose the problem further?
My last resort options are
1) take the drive apart and plug it into a desktop computer (probably invalidates warranty)
2) pay for data recovery (it's a personal hard drive. i'm not sure if this is overkill or expensive)

Using a data recovery service might get a little expensive, it all depends on how important the data is and how much it will cost you to generate it again or replace it.
If the recovery job is simple as in just taking the disk out of the enclosure and copying the data to another disk then I guess it might not be too expensive. Some data recovery companies do provide a (free?) quote on how much it will cost you and others even state how much the more common data recovery tasks cost. If the data recovery company has an agreement with the disk manufacturer then the warranty will not be void and you can claim it and get a new disk.
If you plan to do it yourself be ready to make a full disk image and then copy your data out of the image (look into ddrescue and sparse disk images, works wonder if the disk is not too full), you don't know the cause of the controller failure and it might be that the hard disk is not in good shape too and will only live long enough to reliably extract all the data or do a full disk image a couple of times.

Request not appearing in QA Worklist

Hi,
We have a 3 system landscape and the QA approval procedure is configured. Any transport request that is created and released in the DEV box is automatically trnapsorted to the QA (batch program) and then gets appended to the QA worklist for the approval to be transported tot he PRD system.
We have a typical situation here - we got a transport request from a third party, we added that in the DEV queue and imported it there, then we forwarded the request to the QA box and it was imported by the regular batch program. But it does not appear in the QA worklist.
Can anyone help - how to get this in the QA worklist or is it that the 3rd party request cannot be added to the QA worlist.

Hi Ahmed, It seems that you have resolved the issue. If you did can i have a small clarification since am facing the same problem.
We have 3 system landscape and when the request is released from DEV system it does not appear in QA worklist, for which we need to manually import the request without approval from QA and the same exists in QUA system QA worklist once imported.
Do you know why the request is not displayed in DEV system for QA once released. Though we have batchjob running every 5 mins to import the TR we are manually importing the same since it doesnot appear in import queue of QUA as they were not approved my DEV QA worklist.
But in your case that was 3rd party request which is not appearing in QA worklist.
I hope everything will be fixed once the QA worklist for DEV is fixed.

Screenshots do not appear in topics in Robo7

My normal mode of work is to create topics in Word 2007, and then import them into RoboHelp 7. In most instances, my screenshots will appear when I view with the binoculars, but once I publish I just see a red X.
So, I now have to take a screenshot, save it, then insert the saved saved screenshot into the Robo document. This method always works.
I have never had any training, so I'm sure there is something wrong I am doing. For example, I've read where users save their screenshots in Robo, which I do not do.
We are now in the process of setting up a second Robo server, to allow one of our other businesses to maintain their own work on their own server. While running my system testing, I've noticed certain files do not appear. See screenshot below. Yet other screenshots appear without issue, and they were created the same way.
Any ideas of why this is happening and what I can do to resolve all instances in one fell swoop?
