JEditorPane & HTML button tag

Hi,
I have a program the renders some HTML pages inside JEditorPanes. Everything seems to be rendered correctly, with the exception of the <button> tags. Buttons are not displayed, but in there place is an odd text field with the word "button" in it, surrounded by something of an arrow.
Has anyone seen this? A work around? I tried using the <input> of type button, but that just didn't display. Thank you.

You are correct. In terms of buttons, HTML 3.2 only supported type=submit, not type=button. I changed my code to this older(tho also still implemented in 4.0) format. Seems to work now, thanks a lot!
Unfortunately though, the type=submit does not have the attribute "disabled" which is what I needed to do.

I've been struggling to find a way to create a jsf command button that will render as a <button>. The reason I want to do this is so that I can include content inside my button, as the html <button> tag allows. Is there a way to do this, or is this in plan? I am currently using jsf 1.2.

Hi,
I've been working on a small class which will render out HTML. There's a few examples on the web, all of which read an HTML file from a URL. JEditorPane works fine for that use, but when I try to specify HTML content as a string the page doesn't get displayed correctly. It's a bit hard to describe but basically if you specify a document as type text/html it tries to generate it's own <html>, <body> tags etc and leaves yours out. If you do happen to specify your own then it just ignores your page content.
I need to do it that way as the HTML doesn't exist at a URL, only in memory. Does anyone know of a workaround or has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm developing the application using JDK 1.4.0 under Win2k.

Yeah that's pretty much exactly what I'm doing, although it's pulling the HTML content from the database first.

As you can see, it's being altered by the application and has had the <head> tags added. In my application it's doing even more, stripping everything inside of the <body> tags.
I've found the reason though...it doesn't seem to like a meta tag.

Use a html:button as a Link ???

i work on a little projekt with JSP(structs) and my JSP knowledge is not good :/
My Problem is that i have a page with Links <html:link> but i want to use buttons as Link.
<html:button property="test" ....> Testbutton </html:button>
i create an action (Test.do) that open a new site but where do i write this action in die Tag ???
onclick will not work :(

i have tried with this, it's works fine... but when i click on the next page ( i mean 2 or 3 page etc ) the content of <html:option> are erasing (deleting).. i wanted those terms wht i have selected in the 1st page to remain in <html:option> when i click on 2 nd page also...

how to do this? In the DOM inspector i'm getting the options, but when see the source HTML there are no <html:options>.. when click on the 2 page link the terms which are in <html:option> are not going to the "Action" class .. :(

Problem with html:select or html:options tags using struts,jsp and tomcat

I'm updating a Struts-Project to a new layout and therefore rework all jsp Sites.
I'm also using a new Folder-Structure and update therefore my struts-config file.
My Problem now is:
Till now, we had a select-field with a code like this:

The problem now is, that whenever I use any <html:xy> tag, the tomcat server I use can not show the page, he shows just the headers of the template, but not the
content.-jsp-File where the form would be in. He stops right in the middle of the html page, when he notices the <html:xy> tags.
And the funny thing is, that he has no problem to show a page when there is a <html:errors> within it? Why could this be? the struts-html.tld File is well included and teh Tomcat Server shows no exceptions.

Insert an HTML Table tag as a value in a Tree Table

Hi helper,
Can I insert an HTML Table tag inside a TreeTable (Hierarchical data) using AdvancedDataGrid as a value?
I need to create a Tree table in flex and I have beside normal int values some cells that need to show a certain images in an HTML Table I will create.
Is it possible?

HTML Button use an image instead of Text

I have an HTML button in its own region called A_BUTTON, its current Button display attributes are
sytle: HTML Button
Attributes: name="A" class="where_clause_button"
what it does is i use a dynamic action based off the where_clause_button jquery selector and use javascript to update a hidden field. I would now like to use the Oracle Logo for example as the image of the button instead of using a text label for it. I tried adding to the Attributes src="http://www.oracleimg.com/admin/images/ocom/hp/oralogo_small.gif". When i run it the button still works the same as before but without the image and retains its Text Label, in this case its A.
the html it generates is for the button during runtime is:

How do i retain the functionality of this button but make it an image button?

It works for every struts specific tag like <html:text titleKey="help.rmc.name"/> or <html:checkbox titleKey="help.rmc.name"/> except for <html:select> tag which is used for creating combo box or list box. But this tag contains the titleKey attribute.

How to Suppress HTML Button on WCC Check-in Page

Hi,
On the WCC checkin page there is an HTML button. When I attempt to add an asset to DAM, and click the HTML button before initial check-in I get this error
Unable to execute service DC_CACHE_CHECKIN_NEW and function checkDocRules.
The error was caused by an internally generated issue. The error has been logged.
Is there a way to suppress the HTML button? I really have no use for it. Or is this a settings error on me WCC server?

It's not the function isn't developed. It's just that every object on the front panel has a corresponding object on the block diagram. Attached is an example of how to do it with two buttons.
By the way, if you've run out of room on your panel, it probably means your interface is too crowded. If that is so, I suggest you add more pages to the tab to make your interface more clear.

How to specify HTML meta tags?

I'm trying to get a portal to always have the following an HTML meta tag in the head of the generated HTML:
<meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOFOLLOW" />
I haven't seen any documentation about doing this in particular, but looking at some of the XML schema (*.xsd) files in various weblogic-specific jars, it seems like maybe the following would work in the <netuix:head> tag of the .portal configuration file for the portal:
<netuix:head>
<netuix:meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOFOLLOW" />
</netuix:head>
However, this does not seem to work.
Also, I've checked the skin.properties file to see if there are any comments about how to specify meta tags, but there aren't any.

Turns out there are a number of ways to do this. A BEA consultant recommended modifying the "head.jsp" for the portal's skin.
Alternatively, it dawned on me that all I had to do was put the meta tags in a jsp and use that jsp in the head area of the .portal file. For example:

Using the new HTML 5 tags

I can't get the new HTML5 tags section, header and footer to work on my page. When I change the divs to section it totally screws up the page rendering.I added the appropriate CSS to my style sheet. What do I do?

A link would be 100 times better.
But The main question is are you editing the layouts through the admin editor? If so it will change html5 tags because it is only XHTML compliant. Do not use the editor for markup, only content.
Either code it and upload it through SFTP or use the develop tab if you see it (Partner only) in the top ribbon.
In terms of the code you posted, there are no html 5 tags like section etc in there as far as I can see.

HTML button in the eMail notification sent by Workflow

I have a workflow which send eMail notification to the users. I want to add 2 HTML buttons for approve and reject on this email notification.
For this I have embedded the following HTML snippet in the advanced properties (Message Body) of the email action in the workflow -

However when the user receives the mail, the buttons appear as plain text. Moreover the images are also missing.
Am I missing any specific configuration? Is there anything more that needs to be done to render a HTML button and images in an email generated from a workflow?
I would appreciate, if anyone could please help me resolve this issue.

Anyhoo, you are correct. A Task is used. I checked in SWI1 and the task associated with the mail is TS90000101. (not a ws) Does this help at all?
In the Business Process, it is the part where the system informs a Training coordinator that a training request by an employee have been approved by his/her manager.
Do I still check the FM below or are there any other way given the info above?

How can I put a "selected" attribute in the <html:option> tag in STRUTS? In regular HTML, I can say:

But I can't use the "selected" key word in the STRUTS tag:
