JEditorPane in JDialog only updating in response to mouse clicks?

Hi all,
I'm having a bit of trouble with a program I'm writing. I've got a subclass of JDialog (done with Forte) with a JEditorPane and a JTextField. The JTextField works perfectly, but the only way I can get the JEditorPane to update is using a mouseClickHandler. I've tried other methods, all inside the event handling thread, but nothing works. Could someone explain this behaviour please?

Thank you for your response. I tried both to check the focus and to consume the event. But I had to learn that labels are not able to catch the focus. I also was not able to consume an appropriate event of the combobox. So I finally solved the problem by extending JButton and implementing ActionListener. Thus my labels are actually buttons but I changed their appearance and behaviour so one cannot distinguish them from labels.

Response to mouse click by combo box list and underlying clickable label

Hello,
we developed a label responding to a mouse click by opening and thereby displaying an associated help text. The label extends a project specific hierarchy of labels and thus implements MouseListener, of course. Now we encountered a strange problem: It occurs when a combo box is placed above such a label in a panel. By clicking the combo box a selective list drops down and covers the label. As soon as a mouse click is performed on a list item directly covering (i.e., right in front of) the clickable label not only this item is selected but the help screen associated with the underlying label is displayed, too. So the mouse click is processed twice: as proposed by the combo box and unwantedly by the label. This behaviour could not be reproduced on other components being placed below a combobox. So the label itself seems to be the cause but we cannot imagine what could exactly be the reason for this double reaction. Perhaps anyone heard of something like that?
We are currently working with IBM Visual Age for Java 2.0 (Java version 1.1.8 with the according Swing version). The clickable label reflectively calls methods of a model to determine whether help is available and if so later on to open this help text.

Two JDialogs are getting open on single mouse click in MAC

Updating control values without mouse clicking elsewhere on screen

I have an application where I want to update the values in text and numeric controls without clicking elsewhere on the screen to the accept values. I haven't run accross this issue in the past because I have always had a stop button, which acts to accept the values. But with this application, I am using an Event Structure to monitor the front panel close (red X) to close the VI. I was thinking I could add another event to monitor if the mouse moves, if so then I could use a property node to accept values in the text and numeric controls. But what property node? Any other ideas?

use the event for the specific control---> value change. It will tell you when the user clicks out of the control. If you want to know AS they are changing it, then you can set the control to synchronous display from the context advanced menu.

The leftmost item in a blog doesn't response to mouse click.

In this blog, hantudunia.blogspot.com, I tried to click an item on the leftmost "Histeria" tab, but no finger pointer appear, but adjacent item to the right is clickable. When I used Internet Explorer, all items are clickable. Is this Firefox problem?

Hmm... I noticed if I moved the mouse pointer slowly along the bar there were live and dead spots on the left side of the menu. To see what was there, I right-clicked the dead spot and chose Inspect Element (Q) from the menu.
It turns out to be a widget for Google advertising that seems to have a fixed position, so depending on your window size and zoom level, it may block something different. (See attached screen shot).
Traditionally, Internet Explorer lets you click through a transparent element, so that could explain why this is not an issue in IE.
As a temporary workaround, you can use zoom (Ctrl+ and Ctrl-) to move items around in relation to the unclickable area. To attack it more permanently you could use either:
* An add-on like [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/remove-it-permanently/ Remove It Permanently] (I haven't used this for a long time)
* A custom style rule (we could help with writing the rule and explaining how to install it)

le and supposed that it was a bug fix release for his version - because the v17 ov18 number is not often displayed. It is usually just 2014 CC.

The problem is I can only update the software on one of the three iPhones – the primary phone I used to setup the iTunes acct. What is the best solution to manage these devices for software updates, apps? This is probably a common problem with families wanting to share apps and music without realizing the issues created by this approach. As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works. Hopefully, someone out there can help me?? Please?

You have two versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages v5.2.2 in /Applications
Pages ’09 v4 in /Applications/iWork ’09
When you open a Pages ’09 document in the default Pages v5.2.2, it is converted to the latter exclusive, new document format, and is not directly backwards compatible with Pages ’09. You would have to use Export To > Pages ’09 in Pages v5.2.2.
If Pages ’09 is running, with/without an open window — double-clicking a Pages v5.2.2 formatted document, or attempting to open said document with the Pages ’09 document chooser, will generate the dialog you saw. It really means you cannot open this newer document format with your older version of Pages. There is nothing to download, because the cause of this dialog is simply having Pages v5.2.2 installed.
You can open actual Pages ’09 documents:
Right-click, Open with > Pages (4.3)
Via Pages ’09 document chooser
Drag/drop Pages ’09 document on the Pages ’09 Dock icon
Pages ’09 File > Open…
Pages ’09 File > Open Recent >

So what happened to the phone during the process? It should have gone black and restarted a couple of times and there would have been a white progress bar as the update installed. Sounds to me like you've downloaded the update file but not actually installed it. The quickest way to see version of the software is installed is to go to Settings-General-About and check Version.

Why does my iPod touch 2g only update to 4.2.1 and my newest version of iTunes doesn't show previous purchases?

I had my iPod updated to 4.3.3 onces then after backing it up in iTunes some of my apps I purchased were missing and it only let me update to 4.2.1. I have the newest version of iTunes just updated a couple minutes ago.

The iPod touch 2nd gen can only update to iOS 4.2.1. Hardware restrictions prevent it from updating any farther.

I have created an infoobject (IO) which is a very simple version of 0material, let's call it Znewmat --> Znewmat has material type and trademark as attributes, those two fields are available in 2 different datasources :
- 0MATERIAL_ATTR for material type (field MTART)
- 0MAT_SALES_ATTR for trademark (field MVGR2)
When loading my new IO from 0MATERIAL_ATTR I use a filter (at DTP level) to get only a few material types (I get something like 1000 records),
here is my issue : when I load from 0MAT_SALES_ATTR the field "material type" is not available to keep the same filter as for 0MATERIAL_ATTR and existing records are updated with the trademark, but I also get 5000 records I don't need, and my master data is "polluated" with useless lines.
*and my question : is there a way while performing the second loading to ONLY UPDATE EXISTING RECORDS AND NOT ADD ANY
NEW RECORDS ? (i didn't find anything in main options of my DTP)*
(I'd like to avoid the solution to update the 0MAT_SALES_ATTR datasource to add the missing field)

loop at source_package.
p_ind = sy-tabix.
read table i_mat with key material = source_package-material.
if sy-subrc ne 0.
delete i_mat index p_ind.
endif.
this way you'll only update records that have previously been loaded by 0MATERIAL_ATTR DS
loading sequence:
first load ZNEWMAT from 0MATERIAL_ATTR. then activate ZNEWMAT. then load 0MAT_SALES_ATTR to ZNEWMAT.

How can we make this message gone or why is the system updating only in CO Area Currency.

ERPi Loading only updated data from GL

We are sseing the Pros and Cons of using ERPi.
I read a doc erpi_admin_11121501.pdf, in which the appendix D talks about loading data and metadat from any source.
So my queries are
1. I will have a source mapping to the EBS suite and load the metadata and data directly from GL to Hyperion application. This is the normal process followed which has drill back and write back facilities.
2. I would also like to have a flat file as a source for adhoc loadings. Like, if i want to load only particular data which got updated in GL and not the entire data.
Will this be accomplished?
Having two source mappings.
Would like to know the Pros and Cons of doing so

Or is there any method to load only updated values using the GL(EBS system) as source.
