Hi ,
I am getting below message in my JMS adapter.
"Sender Channel. Details: (No detail information set.)"
Status of adaper is green. What is the meaning of above statement?

What is the error detail in SMQ1,SMQ2?
Did you try to reprocess them from execute luws? try to change the status to recorded if possible.then execute again.

I am using a sender JMS adapter in XI to read a message from MQ. Can anyone tell me whether the message should be in any specific format like comma separated (csv) or text-tab delimited. I am wondering on what basis the system will split the message and map it to the source structure.

It doesnt work... i tried adding the ISO 8859 1 in the module and also tried setting the CCSID which is to 819.. for the ISO 8859 1.. bt i doesnt work
i dont understand why its behaving in such a manner but i really feel some silly mistake i am missing out a parameter or something...
I have created a txt file with 2 line only

DDDEEEFFF
And jst trying to pick up this file without any conversion ... kind of a JMS to File senario without any modules.. it still doesnt work..
i dnt think it is recognizing the new line which i have given.. or may be because the conversion modules are stripping out the new line characters
And i have not upgraded my system as well. its XI 7.0 SP 9

JMS Adapter Message Selector Problem...

I have set the following in the invoke before producing the message and dropping on the queue

On the receive side I have the message selector configured for the adapter as follows:

Where AdaptationRequest is the value for the Sender variable which will be used to filter the message. But this does not work. the messages are still not consumed. What could be the problem?

did you check the message selector section on

explains all the operators you can use and the correct syntax. Make a note of the case sensitivity.

Hi All,
I am stuck in a typical XI issue.......I have a scenario where my input to XI is IDoc and output is xml message going to IBM MQ.
The IDoc is sending some chineese character which is fine is SXMB_MONI Integration server and also fine in the payload of message monitoring, so feel the message is going fine from XI to MQ.
But the receiver EDI system which is picking the message from MQ queue says the chinese characters are getting corrupted. They say that you need to set the additional properties in MQ header data
JMS_IBM_MQMD_Format = MQFMT_NONE.
How do I do this in communication channel for jms adapter ? How to I set the MQ header data in jms communication channel ?

JMS adapter: Adapter specific message attributes

Hi,
I have a synchronous SOAP to JMS (MQ series) scenario where Im using sync/async bridge (without BPM).
I need to correlate the message being put on JMS queue (JMS receiver adapter) and the response (JMS sender adapter).
The standard receiver JMS adapter only allows the JMS correlation ID to be set to one of three different values (excluding NULL). 2 of these (reference and conversation ID) will be empty in my scenario, leaving me with only the XI message ID. This ID however exceeds the length of ie. the JMS correlation ID and thus isnt suitable for correlating anything using the field JMS Correlation ID.
NB: it is of no use to try and set the conversation ID at mapping time (using container object) since the changed value only is available during mapping execution.
Surely one way of setting the conversation ID would be to use an adapter module in SOAP sender, but this is not an option. Also the sender system will not provide one either.
Now the problem isnt setting the JMS correlation ID dynamically at runtime (this is achieved without trouble using the dynamic configuration API with the key DCJMSCorreleationID). The problem is to actually have XI correlate the request with the response.
Since the JMS collelation ID is smaller than the XI message ID and the conversation and reference ID isnt available, what I figure is that I need to find a MQ message property to use and then use the Set MSProperty to part instead this property surely needs to be large enough to contain the XI message ID.
So what I did was I looked in http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv6/v6r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.mq.amqwak.doc/js50938.htm
where a list of fields in the message descriptor is available figuring I can just use one of these. Looking through the list I notice the field MDRQ (Name of reply queue, 48-byte character string) should be able to hold the XI message ID. So I add MDQR in the Specify additional JMS message properties and set the Java Type to String and also enter this field in the Correlation Setting of the receiver JMS adapter.
Runtime:
When looking in MDT I see:
New JMS message will be correlated with the XI message. Correlation rule: XI_MESSAGEID, correlated property: JMS property MDRM, correlation value: 36158680-5a0c-11dc-8c14-000f203cd3c8
I looks like a success! No data is however set in the field when looking at messages being put on MQ.
If I increase the trace level of the JMS adapter I can see (in defaultTrace) the following:
Cannot read the switch setting for property name DCJMSStringProperty0, switch name dynConfigDCJMSStringProperty0. It is switched off.
What does this error mean?
I have of course clicked Use adapter Specific Message-Attributes and also the Specify additional. In other words everything look ok in configuration.
Since Ive also put a check mark in Fail if adapter specific message attributes is missing I can see that I successfully put a value (using dynamic conf. at mapping time) in the field... but still something isnt right the value of the property never reached MQ.
Now Ive tried with a couple of fields in the message descriptor from the previous URL. XI complains all the time.
Anybody got some ideas?

I have been asked like 'how can we handle breaked large messages in sender JMS adapter?'and lets say I am getting some messages as it is and some are breaked into small segements for the mesaages that are large....
do we need to use module,if so is there any standard module that we can use to hanlde this type of scenarios?

Missing message in JMS adapter sender

Hi,
we have a synchronous interface with a JMS adapter. The scenario is:
ECC 5.0 -> XI -> MQSeries -> XI -> ECC 5.0
We put the message in the queue MQ correctly and we get the response message. I can see this in the adapter monitoring in RuntimeWorkbench. But from this moment the message is missing. I can't see anything in the bpm monitoring (SXMB_MONI_BPE). The bpm stops in workitem receive but doesn't return any error.
I don't know how to see where we lose the message and why.

Hi,
Can you see your message in SXMB_MONI? Is your BPM is in running state in sxmb_moni?
You can double click on "PE" in sxmb_moni. It will take you to the Workflow display. Then click on button Technical details,which will show you all steps and if you expand all branches..you should be able to see your error / exception message in case if any.
Please check n let us know the result.

JMS Adapter - Queue Message Loss

Hi Folks,
I am working on MQ - to - File Scenario, working fine. But some Cases message is fail in SMQ1 & SMQ2, I am not able to re-process that message because of that messages are System Error.
So My Problem was, Once JMS Adapter is pick the Data from MQ, no more data in MQ, some cases message is fail, We can't re-process that message, So i dont want to lose that data.
How can i recover that MQ Data...

JMS Adapter Maximum Message Size Restriction and Impact

Hi ,
We have business requirements,where the Maximum message size that needs
to be sent or received from around 25 to 30MB usig JMS XI channels.
But, "Note 856346 - J2EE JMS Adapter: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)"
specifies as below,
2.12)What are the message size restrictions in 640/700 release and also
710 releases?
Answer: The maximum message size for 640/700 releases is "10MB"
Please let us know,
1) If you see any issues with JMS XI Adapter handling 30MB messages in
Production systems.
2) If 30MB is huge, what is the maximum permissible message size
greater than 10MB as break point.

If message size beyond 10MB then the message wont come to SXMB_MONI itself.....may be even in CC monitoring there may not be an entry....you mentioned Production Systems.....did you checked in Dev? The behavior wont change from Dev to Prod.

10MB itself is the limit...anything above that wont be processed.

Restrict message volume through JMS adapter (not individual message size)

Hi, does anyone know of a way to restrict the flow of messages through a JMS adapter? For example, If I wanted to only allow up to 1000 messages to be sent in an hour to a particular system. The rest should just be queued in the Adapter Engine until the next hour begins in order to smooth out the load on the recieving system.
I know this is poor design but there is a system that is getting overwhelmed and cannot be easily changed right away. I'd like a way to control this from the middleware using standard PI (no ccBPM).
Any ideas?

I'm going to assume there is nothing specific we can do in the SAP JMS adapter to control the flow, and look to a solution in the queueing software like you suggested or the 3rd party application.

JMS adapter transaction. Rollback message to queue.

A have question about jms adapter transaction. My composite application has 3 steps : JMS adapter (listener), mediator, WS adapter. JMS adapter listen queue push message to mediator, mediator invoke web service. If ws not available (server down), mediator try recovery 5 times. After 5 times, reject message from queue. I wont rollback message to queue. I saw examples with JMS + BPEL, but it not help me. Anybody can help me.

Hi,
You don’t need to catch a mediator fault – you can let it rollback to the JMS Queue and let the Queue do the retries.
To get the retries working, log in to the weblogic console and navigate to JMS Modules -> Your Module -> Your Queue -> Configuration -> Delivery Failure
Here you will find options for Redelivery Limit. Set this to the number of retries you need.
Then navigate to the connection factory you want and set the redelivery delay.
This should get your desired behaviour, but once the message has failed it will be discarded. If you prefer to put it on an error queue you can create an error queue, and in the original queue’s, goto Delivery Failure, change the expireation policy and set the Error Destination to be your error queue.

JMS is the better way to connect sonic MQ.below iam attaching you few points while using JMS.
1.for the JMS adapter an external driver is needed (java archive)
2.this archive is provided by the respective provider of the queuing system
3.the driver has to be deployed via SDM , see XI configuration guide for details
4.Routing rules and sender has to be specified as for any other channel in the directory
    object model
5.the message header information is determined from the appropriate sender
   agreement for the communication channel
6.the communication channel defined must be used in exactly one sender agreement
7.at least the interface name and the sender service must be qualified in the
    sender agreement ,other fields are optional
Depending on the transport protocol selected, specify the following :

and the ascii data in this message needs to be converted into XML format.
JMS Adapter is picking this message from MQ and posting it to XI.
Also there is an adapter module develped for this conversion and it is working fine for most of the messages, but it failing for this above message.
Can you please help me out in this issue and how to test that adapter module.

put brek points in ur adapter module and then run ur scenario and debug. this is how u test ur adapter module.
this will also help u to see why is it running for certain msgs n failin for others. at different steps/points check the value for variables etc while debugging.
Also put some statements to write audit log entries in ur code for module. this will also help in debugging.
