JMS configuration problem log file

Hello,
My purpose is to send xml data from MQSeries to BW using XI. MQSereies is installed in XI server. For thah I am trying to configure JMS adpter for MQSeries in XI. I have successfully deployed the necessary external drivers using SDM. I have configured the sender channel with the following parameters.
Adapter type: JMS
Transport Protocol :WEBsphereMQ(non-JMS)
Message protocol :JMS1.x
Queue connection factory java class:com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory
Queue Java Class: com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueue
IP address: IP address of XI system.
Port: 1414
Queue manager name : MQ-manager-name_XI-system-name
Channel Name : reciever-channel-name_XI-system-name
JMS queue: postcard
Charecter set ID:
Transport/networkprotocol: TCP/IP
JMS-Compliant : WebsphereMQ(non-JMS)
But when I check it in adapter monitor JMS is shown as red.
<b>In default trace file I am getting the following error</b>

Can any one tell what could be the problem.
Regards,

Try the following :
1. Check if by any chance more than 1 Queue manager listeners have port number as 1414. Make sure all run on unique ports.
2. Instead of IP addreess in the adapter config., try using hostname.
3. Also check the website www.mqseries.net for this error

  • Log Configurator - Increase log file size from 10 mb to 20 mb

    Hi All,
    We have implemented custom logging in our implementation using custom Log Destinations and Locations.
    The log destination (inside log configurator service) we were using earlier had size of 10 mb for each file and the file count was 5.
    Now, as the log files are getting archived very soon we changed the log file size to 20 mb and file count as 5.
    After restarting server, the log viewer in NWA and within Visual Admin does not show updated logs. We have monitored this for sometime now so that new logs are written to the log files still the situation is same.
    Strangely, logs are getting updated at OS level in the log files but the entries are nto shown on Log Viewer in NWA or Visual Admin.
    Are there any restrictions on the log file size or any other parameter needs to be changed to make this work ?
    Looking forward for your inputs and suggestions.

  • How to configure log files in SQL 2012?

    I'm installing a SharePoint Solution and using Microsoft SQL 2012 and I have limited knowledge in installing SQL.  I simply run the wizard and create the DB for SharePoint.
    Is there any links/materials available demonstrating how to correctly configure the log files step by step in a specific partition during the SQL installation for SharePoint 2013?
    thanks,

    Hello,
    SQL Server database log files benefit from RAID 1 and RAID 10 configurations. RAID 10 is recommended for both data files and log files.
    To control de grow of transaction log files, please backup them regularly. The following article may explain you in detail why:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175495.aspx
    Monitor the growth of log files using Performance Monitor and the SQLServer:Databases --> Log Growths counter. Adjust the size of log files until Log Growths
    is constantly zero.
    Hope this helps.

  • Amount of bytes in log files

    Hi
    I want configure the log file to show the amount of bytes used for every person in apache tomcat
    How can i do this?

    Usually, this is due to a localization difference in the JVMs. When WLS boots, the .log file should show you some detailed information about the locale it is using, make sure that is consistent across the machines.

  • Bad date recorded by AccessServer in Audit Log File

    I have installed OAM and configure Audit Log File to AccessServer:
    Access System Configuration >> Access Server Configuration >> and put ON "Audit to File"

    How we can see in this lines the audit log is recording date in UTC, but a need this in the timezone setted in SO.
    How can do this (print date in audit log file with the same timezone setted by SO)??
    Thaks in advance,
    Julio

    I response myself.
    There is no way to set the Date/Time format to any other than UTC for the OAM component logs
    See note 742777.1 for deeph information.
    Julio.

  • Problem using file based JNDI with JMS Bridge, WL 6.1sp3

              I am trying to connect an MQ queue to a Weblogic JMS queue using the JMS bridge,
              WLS6.1sp3. I have the CR081404_61sp3.jar and CR081511_61sp3.jar patches.
              I am having trouble getting the bridge to look up the MQ queue in the file based
              JNDI. According to the log it is trying to use a weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
              instead of a com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory, which is what it is configured
              to use. I am getting the following error:

    CR081511_61sp3.jar patch should fix the problem. Make sure that the
              jar file is picked up. It should be put before other weblogic jar files.
              You should be able to tell if it is picked up by looking at the first
              couple of lines of your server log file.

  • Logging configuration problem

    Hi all
    I am working with JRun4. My problem is logging.
    logging mechanism can send messages to these destinations:
    1) The console screen
    2) The Log file.
    In both cases , logging information is obtained. but The console screen shows information which i print by System.out.println() , and The log file shows information which is Event generated. I want to store information in a file , which is given by System.out.printlln().
    I have done entries in jrun.xml as
    <service class="jrunx.logger.LoggerService" name="LoggerService">

  • I have one problem with Data Guard. My archive log files are not applied.

    I have one problem with Data Guard. My archive log files are not applied. However I have received all archive log files to my physical Standby db
    I have created a Physical Standby database on Oracle 10gR2 (Windows XP professional). Primary database is on another computer.
    In Enterprise Manager on Primary database it looks ok. I get the following message “Data Guard status Normal”
    But as I wrote above ”the archive log files are not applied”
    After I created the Physical Standby database, I have also done:
    1. I connected to the Physical Standby database instance.
    CONNECT SYS/SYS@luda AS SYSDBA
    2. I started the Oracle instance at the Physical Standby database without mounting the database.
    STARTUP NOMOUNT PFILE=C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\database\initluda.ora
    3. I mounted the Physical Standby database:
    ALTER DATABASE MOUNT STANDBY DATABASE
    4. I started redo apply on Physical Standby database
    alter database recover managed standby database disconnect from session
    5. I switched the log files on Physical Standby database
    alter system switch logfile
    6. I verified the redo data was received and archived on Physical Standby database

    Please help me!!!!

    Hi,
    After several tries my redo logs are applied now. I think in my case it had to do with the tnsnames.ora. At this moment I have both database in both tnsnames.ora files using the SID and not the SERVICE_NAME.
    Now I want to use DGMGRL. Adding a configuration and a stand-by database is working fine, but when I try to enable the configuration DGMGRL gives no feedback and it looks like it is hanging. The log, although says that it succeeded.
    In another session 'show configuration' results in the following, confirming that the enable succeeded.
    DGMGRL> show configuration
    Configuration
    Name: avhtest
    Enabled: YES
    Protection Mode: MaxPerformance
    Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED
    Databases:
    avhtest - Primary database
    avhtestls53 - Physical standby database
    Current status for "avhtest":
    Warning: ORA-16610: command 'ENABLE CONFIGURATION' in progress
    It there anybody that experienced the same problem and/or knows the solution to this?
    With kind regards,
    Martin Schaap

  • Log file cleaning problem

    Hi,
    I'm evaluating Berkeley DB Java Edition for my application, and I have the following code:
    public class JETest {
         private Environment env;
         private Database myDb;
         public JETest() throws DatabaseException {
              EnvironmentConfig envConfig = new EnvironmentConfig();
              envConfig.setAllowCreate(true);
              envConfig.setTransactional(false);
              envConfig.setCachePercent(1);
              env = new Environment(new File("/tmp/test2"),envConfig);
              DatabaseConfig dbConfig = new DatabaseConfig();
              dbConfig.setDeferredWrite(true);
              dbConfig.setAllowCreate(true);
              dbConfig.setTransactional(false);
              myDb = env.openDatabase(null, "testing", dbConfig);
         public void cleanup() throws Exception {
              myDb.close();
              env.close();
         private void insertDelete() throws DatabaseException {
              int keyGen = Integer.MIN_VALUE;
              byte[] key = new byte[4];
              byte[] data = new byte[1024];
              ByteBuffer buff = ByteBuffer.wrap(key);
              for (int i=0;i<20000;i++) {
                   buff.rewind();
                   buff.putInt(keyGen++);
                   myDb.put(null, new DatabaseEntry(key), new DatabaseEntry(data));
              int count = 0;
              System.out.println("done inserting");
              keyGen = Integer.MIN_VALUE;
    OperationStatus status;
              for (int i=0;i<20000; i++) {
                   buff.rewind();
                   buff.putInt(keyGen++);
                   count++;
                   status = myDb.delete(null, new DatabaseEntry(key));
    if (status != OperationStatus.SUCCESS) {
                        System.out.println("Delete failed.");
              System.out.println("called delete "+count+" times");
              env.sync();
         public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
              JETest test = new JETest();
              test.insertDelete();
              test.cleanup();
    After running the above, I expected that the log file utilization be 0%, because I delete each and every record in the database. The status returned by the delete() method was OperationStatus.SUCCESS for all the invocations.
    I ran the DbSpace utility, and this is what I found:
    $ java -cp je-3.2.13/lib/je-3.2.13.jar com.sleepycat.je.util.DbSpace -h /tmp/test2 -d
    File Size (KB) % Used
    00000000 9765 99
    00000001 3236 99
    TOTALS 13001 99
    Obviously, the cleaner thread won't clean log files that are 99% used.
    I did expect the logs to be completely empty, though. What is going on here?
    Thanks,
    Lior

    Lior,
    With the default heap size (64m) I was able to reproduce the problem you're seeing. I think I understand what's happening.
    First see this note in the javadoc for setDeferredWrite:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/je/java/com/sleepycat/je/DatabaseConfig.html#setDeferredWrite(boolean)
    Note that although deferred write databases can page to disk if the cache is not large enough to hold the databases, they are much more efficient if the database remains in memory. See the JE FAQ on the Oracle Technology Network site for information on how to estimate the cache size needed by a given database. In the current implementation, a deferred write database which is synced or pages to the disk may also add additional log cleaner overhead to the environment. See the je.deferredWrite.temp property in <JEHOME>/example.properties for tuning information on how to ameliorate this cost.
    The statement above about "additional log cleaner overhead" is not quite accurate. Specifically, we do not currently keep track of obsolete information about DW (Deferred Write) databases. We are considering improvements in this area.
    Your test has brought out this issue to an extreme degree because of the very small cache size, and the fact that you delete all records. Most usage of DW that we see involves a bulk data load (no deletes), or deletes performed in memory so the record never goes to disk at all. With the tiny cache in your test, the records do go to disk before they are deleted.
    You can avoid this situation in a couple of different ways:
    1) Use a larger cache. If you insert and delete before calling sync, the inserted records will never be written to disk.
    2) If this is a temporary database (no durability is required), then you can set the je.deferredWrite.temp configuration parameter mentioned above. Setting this to true enables accurate utilization tracking for a DW database, for the case where durability is not required.
    # If true, assume that deferred write database will never be
    # used after an environment is closed. This permits a more efficient
    # form of logging of deferred write objects that overflow to disk
    # through cache eviction or Database.sync() and reduces log cleaner
    # overhead.
    # je.deferredWrite.temp=false
    # (mutable at run time: false)
    Will either of these options work for your application?

  • Managing and configuring log files for Oracle 9ias

    Hi all,
    I'm wondering where I can find documentation on managing and configuring log files like:
    ORACLE_HOME/admin/ sid/*dump/* ORACLE_HOME/assistants/opca/install.log ORACLE_HOME/webcache/logs/*
    ORACLE_HOME/dcm/logs/*
    ORACLE_HOME/ldap/log/*

    ORACLE_HOME/sysman/log/*
    ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/ OC4J_instance/log/*/* ORACLE_HOME/config/schemaload.log ORACLE_HOME/config/useinfratool.log
    because I didn't find anything in document like:
    Oracle9 i Application Server
    Administrators Guide
    Release 2 (9.0.2)
    May 2002
    Part No. A92171-02
    So, if anyone has any idea...
    Thanks in advance

    Does anyone know how or if it is possible to send the stdout and/or stderr to the log4j type of logging? I already capture the stdout and stderr to the flat file. But I would like to timestamp every line to compare and diagnose problems with each application that encounters problems. Each web app is using log4j to their own application log4j log file. When they encounter errors or resource draining problems, I would like to see the container logs and see what was occuring inside the container at around that same time.
    Any ideas?

    I figured out what my problem was here. The Windows user that the portal processes run as is the user who writes the log files. In this case, this user is a local user to the portal server and not a Windows domain user. This means that the user does not have access to write to the shared drive.
    We had two options as to what we could do here. The first would be to change the user that's running the portal to a user that could write to that shared drive. The second option would be to have the portal write the log files locally on the portal server and then have a script run as a domain user on that server sometime in the day and copy the files to the shared drive. We are going with the second option.

  • Problem with logging in log files.

    HI,
    Our's is a client/server application.
    In our application there are so many clients.
    They each have separate page(web page).
    When a client download any file from their site it logs(client name, time, file name etc.) into a common log file(access.log) and a client specific log file(access.client_name).
    Logging in common file(access.log) is performing well.
    Logging in client specific log file works for some clients and don't work for some clients.
    For example there is a client called 'candy'.
    Some times it logs in the log file, access.candy
    some times it don't log.
    Tell me wht is the problem.
    If you want more information regarding my problem, I will send.
    Please give me some solution.
    Thank you.............

    Third Party Client: ((__null) != m_lock && 0 == (*__error())) Can't create semaphore lock
    There seems to be something wrong with a handling (m_lock = method of lock) of semaphore mechanism-- It appears to be a program issue, which is either on your local machine or a remote Web site' page(s).
    'semaphore' Apple definition (quotation from ADC) :
    A programming technique for coordinating activities in which multiple processes compete for the same kernel resources. Semaphores are commonly used to share a common memory space and to share access to files. Semaphores are one of the techniques for interprocess communication in BSD.
    In short, it is a flag to terminate a task/thread efficiently without fail prior to another task/thread starts-- a synchronization mechanism among cooperating threads/tasks. (You might need to have some understanding of the basic concepts of locks and semaphores.)
    I would test any suspect applications to uninstall temporarily to see if the erratic events are displayed on Console. Perhaps, vlc player?
