JMS-- DCJMSStringProperty2 and 1 ?

Hello together,
In the log viewer we have after SP 18 this error message:
Cannot read the switch setting for property name DCJMSStringProperty2, switch name dynConfigDCJMSStringProperty2. It is switched off.
Cannot read the switch setting for property name DCJMSStringProperty1, switch name dynConfigDCJMSStringProperty1. It is switched off.
I have checked the jms adapter, but I don’t find this properties.
Have you an idea?
Bye
Stefan

  • JMS proxy and XA connection factory

    Hi all,
I would like to ask you what is the best practice to adopt about the scenario described below.
A JMS proxy retrieves a message and processes it.
Any error could occurr during processing it and, in case of errors, the JMS proxy error handler publishes the message on ad hoc recovery destination D.
(later another app will check failed messages for fixing & republishing them into ALSB).
In that scenario we have the JMS proxy and the jms business service that, in case of errors, publishes on destination D.
Should the JMS proxy and the business service use both a XA connection factory in order to perform all the above steps in one transaction ?
Otherwise if the business service itself fails publishing on destination D, the message retrieved by the JMS proxy is lost and not re-delivered to the JMS proxy.
Or XA connection factory is not needed and could I use
Routing Options with exactly once or both are needed ?
    Thanks
    ferp

    Hi all,
I did some tests and follow what I've achieved.
    Scenario 1.
    - Precondition
-- A JMS proxy with XA factory + Error Destination (MyRecoveryQueue)
-- A business service BS with XA factory that publishes into MyOutboundQueue
-- No "exactly once" routing option used calling BS
-- an error is forced in the pipeline
    - Flow
-- proxy retrieves a message and try to publish it using BS
-- an error is forced in the pipeline:
--- transaction is rolled back, message redelivered to proxy
--- the message is posted to the error destination after all the retries failed
    Scenario 2.
    - Precondition
-- As 1. but no error is forced in the pipeline
-- the MyOutboundQueue destination queue is paused
    - Flow
-- proxy retrieves a message and try to publish it using BS
-- BS fails to publish it on MyOutboundQueue (because it is paused)
--- transaction is rolled back, message redelivered to proxy
--- the message is posted to the error destination after all the retries failed
    Scenario 2A.
    - Precondition
-- As 2. with MyOutboundQueue paused and resumed
    - Flow:
-- proxy retrieves a message and try to publish it using BS
-- BS fails to publish it on MyOutboundQueue (because it is paused)
--- transaction is rolled back, message redelivered to proxy
--- before all the retries failed the queue is resumed
--- BS succeeds to publish the message
    Scenario 3.
    - Precondition
-- A JMS proxy with NO XA factory + Error Destination
-- A business service BS with NO XA factory
-- No "exactly once" routing option used calling BS
-- an error is forced in the pipeline
    - Flow
-- proxy retrieves a message and try to publish it using BS
-- an error is forced in the pipeline:
--- transaction is NOT rolled back, message NOT redelivered to proxy
    -- so
--- no message delivered to MyOutboundQueue2 destination
--- no message delivered to MyRecoveryQueue2 destination
--- message consumed from MyQueue2 and now is lost!
To publish message into MyRecoveryQueue2 a proxy error handler has to be added and here added explicit publish to MyRecoveryQueue2.
But naturally in that case if in the proxy error handler, the explicit publish fails or any error occurrs no message is delivered to recovery queue.
So if I'm not using an XAFactory the message is auto-acknowledged as soon as it is read and I've to use XA factory if I want the message to be put back in the queue in case of errors and the retry to happen.
So both my proxy service and business service use an XA factory.

  • JMS Header: JMS Properties and Message Selector

    Hi all
I´m using a JMS Adapter to consume messages from a JMS queue (a JMS adapter which create the BPEL instance when a message arrives).
The process must select messages which meet certain criterias, so I´m using Message Selector to filter the messages and only pick up the ones who interest me (If click on the "help" button on JDeveloper Wizard in the page you define Message Selector, you can see an example on how doing this).
So how can I select messages using values placed on JMS Properties, in the Message Selector?
For example, I set in the JMS Header:
    JMSInboundHeadersAndProperties
    --------JMSInboundProperties
    ----------------Property
    -----------------------name = 'Country'
    -----------------------value = 'Brazil'
The JMSAdapter must consume only messages that "Country" = "Brazil".
    Thanks in advance.
    Menezes

    Yes
I am able to specify JMS Header and JMS Properties when producing a message. However I am not able to user "Message Selector" to filter messages based on JMS Properties information when consuming messages.
In the link you provide, there is an example on how to use Message Selector:
    # (a copy from the link)
    Message Selector
...for example, you can enter logic, such as:
    * JMSType = 'car' AND color = 'blue' AND weight > 2500
    * Country in ('UK', 'US', 'France')
I believe the example with "Country" is exactly what I need, but I can´t get it work.
I create the same example above, setting a property named "Country" in the JMSHeader, sending the message to a JMS Queue (BPEL Process #1) and try to comsume it on the Message Selector (BPEL Process#2), but JMSAdapter never consumes the message.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Can JMS topics and queues be clustered in a WLS 7.0 Cluster?

We are installing a weblogic 7.0 cluster with 1 admin server and 2 managed

need to configure JMS. Has any one implemented JMS in WLS 7 clustered

I'm currently working on a project with WLS 7 here at work, involving
the implementation of BEA's JMS Cluster. So far, I really haven't had
              many hiccups.

At least in WLS 7, the biggest thing that stands out is the lack of
automatic failover. Also, Message Paging -- make sure you configure
paging high/low thresholds. Or, if you don't wish for it to occur but
can't stop the server (very common these days with SLAs), set that
byte/message high threshold to a very large number (correct me if I'm
wrong, but I believe BEA recommends 2^63 -1).
              "Karim Ali" <[email protected]> wrote:
              >> Can JMS topics and queues be clustered?
Well, since Topics and Queues are extensions of the
javax.jms.Destination interface, the answer is: Yes!
(SIDE NOTE: most people usually refer to them as a [JMS] "destination"
-- it avoids a lot of conceptual baggage and plus, less typing!)
You'll probably want to see this section of BEA's e-docs:

U have to select the JMS provider for the JMS adapter under Transport Protocol.
The selection of JMS provider could be according to ur cost estimation.

  • 1 "simple" JMS topic and 2 cluster elements with OSB

    Hi,
I have 1 simple jms topic (not distributed, not on migratable target) and cluster with 2 members - OSB as main application. My OSB proxy service reads from this topic and saves data to file.
The problem is that reading from topic appears twice - once by each cluster member. How to configure topic or proxy service for only one reading?

Title: New Service-Oriented Architecture Patterns with Enterprise Grid Messaging
Abstract: Messaging systems are essential in enabling the flexibility and loosely coupled nature of a service-oriented architecture (SOA). Oracle WebLogic Java Message Service (JMS) includes new pub-sub capabilities that make architectures more adaptable, allowing message producers to be ignorant of who is the consumer of a message or how many consumers there are. It also enables easy scale out and dynamic adaptability through clustering and message-driven bean (MDB) enhancements, all while still guaranteeing strict message ordering. This session will outline new JMS capabilities and show how they enable new designs with Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Service Bus.

  • What is the association between JMS Server and JMS Module in weblogic 10?

    Hi,
I have a created a ConnectionFactory, Queue, Topic under JMS Modules in Weblogic Server 10 using admin console.
And I have created a JMS Server and Targetted to the current running server (Admin Server).
But when I run the Queue Sender program it is unable to LookUP the jndi which I gave for Queue.
    queue = (Queue) initialContext.lookup("jndi_queue");
    Exception:
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve 'jndi_queue'.
But I configured this jndi name when I create the Queue in JMS Module in Weblogic Server 10.
How JMS Module and JMS server are associated.
My Doubt is if i have several JMS Modules and only one JMS Server created then how does the JMS Server identifies which Queue/Topic belongs to which JMS Module????
    Please advice.
    Thanks....

    Hi,
Once you have JMS servers configured:
Step 1: Target the JMS configuration module to the cluster that will host the destination, or, if not using clustering, target the module to the individual WL server that will host the JMS server.
Step 2: Configure a "subdeployment" for the module and set it to reference the exact JMS server(s) that will host the destination. If you're using a distributed desitnation, you can specify multiple JMS servers, if you're using a regular destination, only specify a single destination.
Step 3: Create a destination resource in the module, and set its subdeployment to the subdeployment you specified in step 1 (the console calls this "advanced targeting"). As a best practice avoid the "default targeting" option for the resource - always choose subdeployment (advanced) targeting.
For more information, reference the "best practices" chapter of the JMS configuration guide:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/e13738/best_practice.htm#CACJCGHG
I also I highly recommend the JMS chapter of the book "Professional Oracle WebLogic".
    Hope this helps,
    Tom

  • JMS Session and Container Managed Tx

              Hello,
We have encountered the following problem:
              1) A Transaction was initiaited by the Container on EJB1.a() ("Required"-in CMT)
              2) a topic jms session was initiated by: cSession = connection.createTopicSession(
              false, TopicSession.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE );
              3) When I rollback the tx, all but the jms sendings roolback. Meaning the jms
session was not a part of the tx.
How do I relate between a jms session and a container transaction. Do I necessarily
have to use user transaction to solve this problem?

This is 100% wrong. Making a session transacted specifically causes JMS
to ignore any existing transaction in favor the session's internal transaction,
as required by the JMS specification. You need to use a connection
that specifically checks for JTA (user) transactions. Either use an
              XAConnection
or use a connection factory with the "user transactions enabled" flag set.
              There are number of transaction
questions answered in the FAQ, they should point you in the right
              direction:
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/faq/jms.html

  • J2EE client mapping in WL6 - continued : jms queues and topics

How can one use "generic" (i.e. "java:comp/env/jms/myQueue") names in client
code for jms queues and topics,
    since neither application-client.xml nor WL's myjarname.runtime.xml
    have elements for them ?
I mean, jms managed objects are not env-entries (application-client.dtd
specifies that only primitive wrapper types can be valid env-entry-value)
nor resources (which I understand are all connection factories, for jdbc,
    jms or mail ...).
    In my ejb-jar.xml I use the resource-env-ref element :
    <resource-env-ref>
    <resource-env-ref-name>jms/CreationErrorQueue</resource-env-ref-name>
    <resource-env-ref-type>javax.jms.Queue</resource-env-ref-type>
    </resource-env-ref>
which can be mapped in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml
    <resource-env-description>
    <res-env-ref-name>jms/CreationErrorQueue</res-env-ref-name>
    <jndi-name>jms.aregon.CreationErrorQueue</jndi-name>
    </resource-env-description>
but I don't know how to map the jndi of such objects in a client
    application.

    Hi Sachin --
In the 10.1.3.1 release, a set of new commands have been added to admin_client.jar to support the command line creation of JMS resources:
-addJMSConnectionFactory -domain <domain> -jndiLocation <jndiLocation> [options]
    -removeJMSConnectionFactory -jndiLocation <jndiLocation>
    -getJMSConnectionFactories
-addDestination -domain <domain> -name <name> -jndiLocation <jndiLocation> [options]
    -removeDestination -name <name> [options]
    -getDestinations
You can read about it in the doc:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b28950/adminclient.htm#CHDDFJJA

  • Esb parallel processing problems with jms adapter and bpel

    Hi,
I have esb project which dequeues from a jms adapter and then the esb router calls a bpel process. This bpel process takes about 10 seconds. The first step this bpel does is to return true ( to the client) to the esb router so the ESB thinks he is ready. This does not work.
Now if I use in the esb router asyn routing rule to the bpel ws then the esb dequeus all the messages from the queue. All the esb entries are green. But the esb starts one for one the bpel process and then updates the esb entry with a new start time ( very strange) .
If I use a sync routing rule then it dequeues and call the bpel process one for one.
How I can parallel proces the jms messages ,because I have 2 quad cores cpu's . Async routing rules looks like the solution.
How can the esb detects the bpel is still running even with the first action in bpel is to return true. I expected when the esb retrieves true from the bpel ws it ends the current esb entry and goes on with the next. So the total esb time takes a few seconds and not so long as the last the bpel proces finishes.
And why is he updating the starting time.
    Thanks Edwin

does not work. I am not sure if it can ever work, if you reply and then still proceed with your BPEL process.
Here is something I would like to suggest:
Can you try ESB -- (sync) --> BPEL, where BPEL process itself is Async. In that case, esb will consume all the messages very fast and BPEL will get that message and put in Delivery Queue and reply back to ESB. Now BPEL will process them simultaniously based Receiver/Worker threads defined in your env.

  • I want to use ODI to read XML messages from JMS queue and then process it..

I want to use oracle ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) to read XML messages from JMS queue and then process it.. i also want to process and validate the data in it....
Could anyone please tell me the steps to achieve the same. I tried some ways which i got on OTN, but not able to implement it exactly...
As i m very new to ODI, it will be great if you provide detailed steps..
Thanks in advance for your help....

    Hi,
Were you able to do it? We are facing this same issue now and, despite the fact the docs say otherwise, it does not seem to be a trivial task.
    TIA,

  • JMS producer and consumer as Web service?

Q:WSI17-Does Weblogic support JMS producers and consumers as Web service? And could
    it be Topic or Queue?

A<WSI-17> The message style web services can be producers, consumers or both. Additionally,
both Point to Point (Queue) and Publish/Subscribe (Topic) domains are supported.
    See the documentation at http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs61/webServices/develop.html#1031913.
