Which transport protocol is most efficient in JMS adaptor and why..???
U have to select the JMS provider for the JMS adapter under Transport Protocol.
The selection of JMS provider could be according to ur cost estimation.

Does anybody know which compiler genrates the most efficient code? Jikes or javac? Or are there others more powerfull? If anybody has any information please submit a link to some benchmark test. I have tried both compilers, and I think that Jikes is compiling clearly faster, but does that mean that it is sloppy or doesn't it mean anything.

It's not so much the comiler but rather the jvm that is responsible for speed issues.
Of course if the compiler generates crappy bytecodes it doesn't help. But finally the jvm does the optimizing and running...

Firefox 6.0 is the current version.
Get what denoted in what properties link.
You can get the version number in Help -> About Firefox,
and in '''about:support''' typed into the Location bar, and you can use JavaScript to list the user agent -- javascript:navigator.userAgent
I'm not aware of any version of Firefox from Fx 2 on up to Fx 6 where "AVG Safe" is not a problem. Crashes aren't the only failures caused.

• Which one of these two drives would you recommend and why

Hello,
I am planning on adding an external HD to be used with Time Machine.
I was looking at a WD My Book Studio LX 2 TB FireWire 800, then I saw another WD - 2 TB My Book Studio II.
While the first look very nice and sleek with its aluminum case, and judging by WD website, offers more features, the second one seem to be faster (7200 rpm vs 5400 rpm) and it also offers 5 years of warranty compared with only 3.
I am not a computer geek, therefore I am throwing the question here: which one should I buy and why? Do I really need that RAID technology?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Regards,
Loerincz

IMHO, you want neither. I've heard enough bad things about WD drives on these forums that I wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole. Try [Other World Computing|http://www.macsales.com>. They've got quality stuff.
As for RAID, you probably don't need that. RAID is a way to make multiple separate drives act like one larger drive, but that's major overkill for most home backup needs.

• Which is better? Photoshop CS6 or Elements? And why?

Wife is an avid photographer and likes to be able to fix photos, make collages. Confused on which is better, Photoshop CS6 (and what is Extended?) or Elements? What are the pros and cons of each? Thank you for your time.

• Most efficient way to open a new TextEdit doc at a specific place

Suppose I've navigated in the Finder to some deep dark location in the folder hierarchy... I want a new text file titled "notes" in this folder, i.e. to this path.
Assuming TextEdit is already open, what is the most efficient way of creating and begin adding text to a new TextEdit file in that location?
Tried this: Maybe the usual Save dialog is aware of the current folder, so I can choose "New Document" in TextEdit's Dock icon pulldown, and then choose that path when I do File --> Save, choose the Save dialog's expanded view, and pull down the Where: selection. Nope. The current path is not there.
Tried this: Keeping an empty TextEdit document named untitled on my desktop. Drag-copying that to the current folder. Rename the file to "notes", open it, and start editing That works, except it is clumsy.
Is there a better way?
Please forgive me if I'm missing something incredibly obvious.

The problem with that is a new file has nothing in it.
If you save a dummy file on the desktop someplace or use a real file in each of your locations, you could right click and duplicate it, then doubleclick to open it in the program of choice.
Another option would to be to create a AppleScript that took the current open windows pathname and create and save a Textfile there.
You save the app in the Dock and only have to click on it once, it automatically quits when mission accomplished.

• Is there any way to send IDOC in one line through JMS Adaptor?

Hi Frnds,
I have an issue with JMS adaptor and it is as folllow:
I configured JMS sender Communicaiton Channel and its working fine but client wants header and item records in one line with out any lines in between these records. Is it possible to send Header and Item records in one line through JMS Sender?
Thanks
Rajeev.

Rajeev,
The XSL is generally created via an XML development tool and then imported to the design as an Imported Archive. Then in your Interface Mapping select a mapping program of type XSL and choose your XSL mapping.
FYI - Here is a simplified version of Michals blog.
I have created cdata.xml as input.

<aa>
<bb>1</bb>
<cc>1</cc>
<cc>2</cc>
<cc>3</cc>
</aa>
The XSL mapping program cdata.xsl

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:template match="/">
<inside>

<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"></xsl:text>
<xsl:copy-of select="aa"/>
<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">]]</xsl:text>
<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">></xsl:text>

</inside>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
And the result

<inside><aa><bb>1</bb><cc>1</cc><cc>2</cc><cc>3</cc></aa></inside>
The strikethrough is an interpretation of the forum editor.
The actual result is square bracket <aa><bb>1</bb><cc>1</cc><cc>2</cc><cc>3</cc></aa> square bracket
Using the above code you can test this and see for yourself
The idea would to pass the single string to JMS.
This should get you over the line. Also refer to XI / PI help to clarify XSL mapping.

Mike

• Missing AQ and JMS Transport protocols

Hi,
It seems that after a Purge the AQ and JMS transport protocols have disappeared from the user interface. I recall something similar happened with the SFTP protocol a few patches ago. That could be solved by running $ORACLE_HOME/jdk/bin/java oracle.tip.seed.SFTPSeedDriver. Can something similar be done for the AQ and JMS transport protocols?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
the patch number is 7556011.
It is possible that it is as you say and something went wrong during patching. I assumed it was deleted because of the Purge since the AQ and JMS were missing similar to the SFTP case described earlier. When comparing the transport protocols with another installation (with the same patch level and that has not had any purges done) only these two protocols were missing. Worth noting is that the SFTP and TCP transport protocols are still visible in the GUI.

• Most Efficient Adapter

Hi All,
I am interested to know that for example if we are asked to transfer data in below scenarios which adapters are most efficient and why.
ECC to Third Party system
Third Party to Third Party system
Third Party to ECC system
Say you have the choice to choose which Third Party system you would recommend to the client for most efficient data transfer and why would that be? From all the standard SAP adapters like File or SFTP or SOAP or JMS or JDBC. I do understand that business need would come up as the first criteria but if are solely responsible for suggesting the client which is the best option. Transfer data from DB using JDBC or simple File transfer or SFTP or via web using SOAP adapater. Also do mention your reason for such suggestion.
Regards,
Shaibayan

Hi,
Check with your third party system ,what protocol it supports .
Some only supports FTP if they have file server installed in there machine .If the third party system is outside your BLAN then you need to make sure ports open b/w your machine and third machine to communicate .We do have FTP/SFTP/FTPS flavors in file transfer .
If they want to insert into there db then you can propose for JDBC/SOAP.
If they want to communicate from web then propose HTTP/HTTPS
If they have JMS queues/Topics go with JMS
When comes to SAP ECC it supports IDoc/RFC/Proxy
give 1st preference to Proxy for async scenarios,if you have standard IDoc then go with IDoc.If you have huge payload go with proxy.
//ly for synchronous scenarios go with proxy first,if insisted for rfc then go with that.
Frankly speakings many factors will impact on coming to conclusion .Discussions with end systems/business req narrow down the options.
Regards
Venkat
