JMS properties supported in the JMS Service?

Hello,
We are trying to send some JMS properties using the JMS Service and are not having any luck. Specifically, we need to set a JMSType...it appeared that customHeaders in the JMSMessageType (jms.xsd) should facilitate this, however, the properties we send in the name/value pair part of the customHeader in the jmsMessage is not getting through to the recieving side (neither a bpel jms listener nor a pojo listener). This suggests that perhaps this is not supported in the current version??
Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for the help.
Cheers,
Dustin

Nope, im using the inbuilt JMS queues that come coupled with the deveopler install of the process manager... I can see the header variables when i dont try to use correlation but when i correlate them the header variables on the receive are empty!
I've also had a bash at trying to get native correlation to work with the JMS adapter but not having much (any!) luck... Any chance you have some resources for that?
Cheers
Ian

  • Message uses a character set that is not supported by the internet service

    Does any one have any advice on how to fix this problem?
    E-mails sent from my iphone 3G periodically arrive in an unreadable form at the recipient. The body of the e-mail has been replaced with the message "This message uses a character set that is not supported by the internet service...." The problem e-mails also include an attachment that contains an unformatted text file containing the original message surrounded by what appears to be lots of formatting data that is displayed as gibberish.
    This occurs sometimes, but not always, even with the same recipients. I am sending e-mail through a G-mail account that is configured on the iphone using IMAP. I have tried the gmail account to use the two available formatting options for mail, but neither fixes the problem.
    I have also upgraded to 2.01 and restored a few times without impact.

    Hi,
    I got somewhat similar problem with special charecters(German umlaud ,,..).
    I create a file with java having special charecters in it. Now if I open this file I am able to view the special charecters in it.But If I attach this file send it using following code then receiver can not see the umlaud charecters in it.They get replaced by _ or ?
    MimeBodyPart mbp2 = new MimeBodyPart();
    FileDataSource fds = new FileDataSource(fileName);
    mbp2.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(fds));
    mbp2.setFileName(output.getName());
    Multipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
    mp.addBodyPart(mbp2);
    msg.setContent(mp);
    Transport.send(msg);
    From you message it looks like you are able to send the mail attachment correctly(by preserving special charecters).
    Can you tell me what might be wrong in my code.
    I appriciate your efforts in advance.

  • How the JMS client detect if the JMS server is still running?

    I have a JMS server running on Weblogic and a JMS client running as a standalone application on my local machine. I ran into the problem that if the JMS server is down for a period of time and then get re-started, the JMS client will lose its connection to the server. Since JMS client is just passively listening to the topic it subscribes, it will have no information about the status of the JMS server. Therefore it will not be able to receive any new message if the JMS server is restarted.
    I wonder if there is a way I can have the JMS client automatically detect if the connection to the server is lost or reset. I tried to use a while loop in JMS client that does a JNDI loopup every minute to check if the JMS server is up. But if the WL server is down, the JMS client will just catch an exception and crash.

    Hi,
    You should use an exception listener that allows a client to be notified of a problem asynchronously. As your client only consumes messages, it would have no other way to learn that its connection has failed.
    Hence, you should implement the interface ExceptionListener (let says MyExceptionListener) and define your reconnection logic in the method onException(JMSException exception). MyExceptionListener has to be registered with your connection with the method:
    public void setExceptionListener(ExceptionListener listener) throws JMSException
    Hope it helps,

    it possible to achieve using JMS adapter or not?? what is the alternative solution ??
    Regards,

    Hi RSR,
    JMS is the better way to connect sonic MQ.below iam attaching you few points while using JMS.
    1.for the JMS adapter an external driver is needed (java archive)
    2.this archive is provided by the respective provider of the queuing system
    3.the driver has to be deployed via SDM , see XI configuration guide for details
    4.Routing rules and sender has to be specified as for any other channel in the directory
        object model
    5.the message header information is determined from the appropriate sender
       agreement for the communication channel
    6.the communication channel defined must be used in exactly one sender agreement
    7.at least the interface name and the sender service must be qualified in the
        sender agreement ,other fields are optional
    Depending on the transport protocol selected, specify the following :
    8.For Sonic MQ JMS Provider :
    ·        Java class QueueConnectionFactory
    ·        Java class queue
    ·        IP address or server name
    ·        Server port
    ·        JMS queue
    9.JNDI JMS Provider Lookup
    ·        JNDI name of QueueConnectionFactory
    ·        JNDI name of JMS queue
    ·        Name of JNDI Initial Context Factory
    ·        Address of JNDI server
    ·        JNDI users
    ·        JNDI password with confirmation
    10.
    For WebSphereMQ (MQ Series) JMS Provider
    ·        Java class QueueConnectionFactory
    ·        Java class queue
    ·        IP address or server name
    ·        Queue manager name
    ·        Channel name
    ·        JMS queue
    ·        Character set for non-ASCll names
    ·        Transport/network protocol
    ·        Target client
    11.
    JMS Provider Administered Objects via File
       File name of serialized object QueueConnectionFactory
       File name of serialized object Queue

  • PasswordSync Configuration - JMS Properties Settings

    Hi,
    I am basically trying to install and configure the password Sync process on a Windows 2000 Domain controller to interact with Sun IdM 6.0.
    I had installed the .NET 1.1 framework required for a Windows 2000 Domain Controller and PasswdSync. Now when I am trying to configure the PasswordSync, I am not sure what values should be entered against the "java.naming.factory.initial" and "java.naming.provider.url" properties under the JMS Properties tab of the PasswordSync configuration wizard. Also, I would appreciate if any one of you could throw some light on JMS Settings as well. I have set-up the JMS server and created a connection factory required before trying to configure.

    Send a request to the server somehow, so that the server is aware of this. AJAX may be very useful in this if you want to do this asynchronously.
    its very urgently This is irrelevant information. That's your problem. We don't care less or more. Some users here will even refuse to help you if you're putting pressure.

  • How to start the jms service?

    I have installed the oracle9ias on linux 7.2. I start the EM web manager, and start other component in the component list. and I found that the 9127 port not open.
    how can i start the jms service. the rmi port is already open.
    thanks in advance.

    Hello Xiaofeng,
    The 9127 port is only used by the standalone OC4J J2EE Container (i.e. when you run OC4J outside of Oracle9iAS). When you run OC4J as part of Oracle9iAS, the JMS port is allocated by OPMN (Oracle Process Manager and Notification Server) dynamically that's why you don't see anything on 9127, if you go to the EM Web Manager, click on Server Properties of your OC4J instance, you should be able to see a configuration parameter that specifies the range of JMS port, OPMN will use a port number in the range for the JMS server. When you start Oracle9iAS (with embedded OC4J), the JMS server will start automatically.
    Another thing to point out is that the JMS service in OC4J is a light-weight, memory based messaging server and it doesn't support persistence. If you want to deploy production JMS application, please use OracleJMS instead, which is based on Oracle Database Advanced Queuing, in that case, you start the JMS service by starting the database.
    Regards,
    Chen.

  • Does web service support all the properties in the standalone BI console?

    Hi,
    Currently I am using BI web service API to get the report and its parameters and so on. But I find that the object definition in the web service can't be full defined to match the properties in the console UI. For exaple, ReportDefinition object there is no description property, so I can't get the desc by the ReportDefinition object (By now I don't know how to get it). Another sample is, there is no Parameter object defined in the web service, only ParamNameValue object, so I can't get the default value for the parameter defined in the console UI.
    Is there any solution for me?

    After tracking the HTTP traffic, I found that the WL70 server is not issuing any
    cookie. I have configured all the parameters for tracking session in the web application,

    there is some other configuration for the server?

  • Is the JMS adapter on the J2se supported for productive use?

    Hello ,
    I am in a big confusion whether to go with simple J2SE AE for my JMS scenario or to install the J2EE AE.
    Is there any consequences or problems or difference in using the JMS scenario in J2SE AE and J2EE AE?
    It is purely for Production purpose. Whether it is supported to use J2SE AE for configuring JMS scenario in
    production systems?

    Apologize since this post is in the webservice forum as well but since it is related to jms as well i put it here as well.
    I have a web service that is using JMS (@WLJmsTransport Web Service over the JMS transport)
    and everything seems to be ok BUt i do not know how to use this if the JMS is secured .
    By Adding security on JMS queue what other things i need to do in order for the webservice to access the queue ?
    (where i specify the credentials ?)
    @WebService(serviceName = "ASyncService", targetNamespace = "http://axyz.org/notification/v1", endpointInterface = "

    @WLJmsTransport(contextPath = "notify", serviceUri = "async_event", portName = "ASyncServicePort", queue = "events", connectionFactory = "cnfct_receiver")
    Thank you !

    The annotation you gave is for accessing the webservice but in this case it seems the webservice has to access a secured jms
    However having your response lead me to @RunAs which solved my problem.
    Very hard to find this information.
    Thank you very much for your answer !

    The above is the jrockit crash dump file..
    I am using the JMS Wrapper Connection Poooling provided by Weblogic. When i use Jmeter and do the load testing for around 10 users, the server gets crashed.
    I doubt something is going wrong with the Weblogic JMS Connection Pooling, please help me..

    The problem doesn't look like it has anything to do with wappers per se. The stack indicates that the JVM died when the persistent store tried to invoke a standard Java synchronize operation. JVM crashes need to be analyzed by a JVM expert, so I second the suggestion to solicit help from JVM experts and/or filing a case with customer support. In the mean-time, you can probably work-around the issue by either (A) ensuring you have a recent version of the JVM installed, or (B) temporarily switching to the Sun JVM.
