JMS Timer into a Proxy or Business

Hello,
I have a JMS Queue and I wanna know if is possible to configure a proxy or business service to read the JMS Queue time by time, for example read the Queue each 5 minutes.
Is there any option in ESB to configure as a timer to read the Queue?
Thank you!

No I don't think there is such option. However you can define a delay when you post the message, before it get consummed.

    Hi
    I have one query regarding to the JMS-Queue/Topic.
    I am published the message to the JMS-Queue/Topic.

    I call this Business-service in proxy-service of Routing message was published successfully to thee Queue.
    I try to dequeue the message from that queue for this

    Issue is when I publish the message to Queue,the message is also found in the file  i.e C:temp. I don't now why  this come to the file.*
    Any suggestions

    Either I did not get an idea, but in your JMS proxy you are routing to File :)
    If you don't want file, why route to 2nd BS ?

  • Applying configuration on proxy- or business-service

    Hello! When i apply configuration on working proxy- or business-service with a lot of messages, then i can have trouble with http_500 code at ~1 second on OSB's cluster nodes. I just want to know how this work. Is OSB loses some messages from business service, or nothing receiving messages is lose and http_500 is only for new requests (like graceful restart)?

    (My opinion only though based on observation. I did not actually read the design papers on that).
    OSB artifacts are internally compiled into EJB applications. When configuration changes, old applications are unloaded, new ones loaded. In between you get 500 with a message saying something like "Configuration is in transition".
    My understanding the messages that are in-flight within the old applications are trying to complete while the unloading happens. Some will, some won't.
    Incoming messages coming during the unload-load gap get 500.
    Messages after the new EJB is loaded are processed successfully.
    If you must provide message deliver guarantees, you gotta go with persistent storage (JMS) and transactions.

    i downloaded an album on itunes using my new itouch; but it's only allowing me to put three songs at any one time into the music app...how can i get it to just move them all in there?

    hi philly, thanks for getting back to me, especially on such a busy day.
    I don't think that's quite the issue though. I bought an album and it appears in 'my purchases' within the itunes app. Yet, in order to listen to the music, i must use the 'music' app and in this application, there are only three tracks displayed at any one time from my downloaded album.
    I can 'download all' from the 'my purchases' section but that still doesn't help, it just keeps the last three tracks downloaded in the music app.
    I have the 'icloud' enabled and wondered if it had anything to do with that.
    i have successfully downloaded another full album totally into the music app, but this first album is causing me problems.

  • Dynamic timeout for OSB proxy or business services

    The scenario we got here is that we will have multiple synchronous webservices implemented as OSB proxy services. These proxies will then invoke a common "routing" proxy that will determine which other OSB proxy or business services (JMS Request/Response) to call and does the dynamic routing.
    I understand that you can set a timeout at the business service level how long to wait for a response (at least when using the JMS transport). The problem is we got the requirement that the timeout value would be dependent on the role of the caller invoking the frontend webservice (this is done via some kind of lookup to determine the appropriate timeout setting for the invocation).
    Is this possible? I can't seem to find anything exposed in the transport header that allows me to set a timeout value during runtime. This means that the frontend proxy will be waiting for a response depending on the business service timeout setting. Can we implement a timeout in this frontend proxy somehow?
    Stumped right now over this. Thanks in advance for helping out.

    Are there other reasons why you say it's not the most ideal way of development ?

    Versioning binary files is always a pain. You can't compare them, you can't merge them ... Another point, if you put your jar archive with OSB artifacts under version control, you will most probably face issue related to end of line styles (mac, unix, windows).
    However, the most important point is usability. I want to version .proxy and .biz services to see right in IDE that I changed something and I should check that in for the others. I don't want to risk that I forget something. And I also want to see what other users committed, what sources they work on ... You loose all of that by versioning jar file. I would never go this way.

  • Need Java API's to create OSB proxy and Business Services

    Hi All,
    I need to create OSB proxy and business services using Java API's. Does any one have reference to the OSB APIs??

    AFAIK it is proprietary.
    What I do in a similar situation is to form XML for the services, package them into JAR the same way as an import JAR is packaged (creating ExportInfo resource, ...) and deploy with standard WSLT script. Works for simplest services only (direct proxies mostly) but I can also form security, alerts, throttling etc etc etc -- all in one shot.
    Out of sheer interest, may I ask you a question? Why do you need to create OSB services from Java?

  • OSB: how to figure out the execution time of OSB proxy

    Trying to figure out how to determine the execution time taken for any given OSB proxy. Seems like the OSB built-in alerting facilities can display the average response time of all calls to a proxy but not individually. Is there a way to dig this out from the monitoring data being collected?

    Service monitoring which comes OOTB is supposed to be aggregated because in usual scenarios you dont need to see the processing time of a specific request. From a performance monitoring perspective the useful data usually is average processing time and minimum or maximum processing time for any request within the aggregation interval which is provided by OSB OOTB.
    Now, in some cases the business might want to track each request individually. So, for example they can track how long did it take to process a specific order. OSB does not provide this feature OOTB. There are multiple ways to get this implemented. Two of the most common ways are:
    1. Add a start and end time capturing in Proxy Services. You can use logging/reporting/publish to a DB etc to achieve this. But this is indeed intrusive and you will need to do this for every Proxy which needs to be monitored at every instance level. This is also a slight overhead in processing in itself.
    2. Use monitoring products which can monitor the WS invocations externally. This will mean more investment but definitely a much better solution. You can consider using different products from Oracle and other vendors based on your requirements, features of products and costs. A few examples are OWSM, Oracle EM, CA Wily etc.

I want to save the position , date and time of the stage with respect to zero.I want all these in one file, nd everytime I run it it should save to the same file, like this:
    2/12/03 16:04 13567

    Hi,
    I know the function "write to spreadsheet file.vi"
    can append the data
    to file. You can use the "concatenate strings" to display the date,
    time as well as data... Hope this help.

  • How do I insert textarea values one at a time into database?

    I have a a simple form:
    Select List - populated by a recordset that gets a list of technicians.   In this format:   Label - >  Tech name   Value - > Tech ID
    Textarea - To paste zip codes into that the tech services.    In this format:   12345,12346,12347,etc..
    When I want to submit the form, I want it to take all of those zip codes and insert them into the database as a single record each with the tech's id from the select list.
    The code I have is thus:
    $zipcodes = explode(",", $_POST['textarea']);
    $countZips = (count($zipcodes));
    if ((isset($_POST["MM_insert"])) && ($_POST["MM_insert"] == "form1")) {
    foreach($zipcodes as $key=>$value)
    while ($countZips >= 1) {
    $editFormAction = $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'];
    if (isset($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) {
      $editFormAction .= "?" . htmlentities($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']);
      $insertSQL = sprintf("INSERT INTO zip_zip (zip_code, tech_id) VALUES (%s, %s)",
                           GetSQLValueString($value, "int"),
                           GetSQLValueString($_POST['select'], "int"));
      mysql_select_db($database_localhost, $localhost);
      $Result1 = mysql_query($insertSQL, $localhost) or die(mysql_error());
              $countZips--;
    //Done value exists
    //Now moving to next page when done
              $insertGoTo = "index.php";
      if (isset($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) {
        $insertGoTo .= (strpos($insertGoTo, '?')) ? "&" : "?";
        $insertGoTo .= $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'];
      header(sprintf("Location: %s", $insertGoTo));
    //END
    The issue is - let's say I paste 105 zip codes into the text area.   It will insert the FIRST zip code 105 times into the database instead of inserting the 105 zip codes individually.
    Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?
    Thanks!

    Ok, so all of that mysql stuff just needs to be ran once until the connection is closed.  I didn't know that.  That probably makes it run better too.
    Ok, so here is what that code looks like now.  There are a few additions because it turns out I also have to check to make sure the zip code is in a state that the tech is licensed in.  : (  I have a question about how to do that because it is different.  Do I need to post a new question or is better to ask here since my stuff is usually in left field?
    Any way here is my code now.  I think it is much better, right?
    //Start
    //This is my recordset to get the last tech added
    mysql_select_db($database_localhost, $localhost);
    $query_getTechs = "SELECT * FROM zip_tech ORDER BY tech_id DESC";
    $getTechs = mysql_query($query_getTechs, $localhost) or die(mysql_error());
    $row_getTechs = mysql_fetch_assoc($getTechs);
    $totalRows_getTechs = mysql_num_rows($getTechs);
    //This is where I'm getting all zip codes that are serviceable by stupid regulations
    mysql_select_db($database_localhost, $localhost);
    $query_Recordset1 = "SELECT zip_code, state_prefix FROM zip_code";
    $Recordset1 = mysql_query($query_Recordset1, $localhost) or die(mysql_error());
    $row_Recordset1 = mysql_fetch_assoc($Recordset1);
    $totalRows_Recordset1 = mysql_num_rows($Recordset1);
    //ARRAYS
    $results = array();
    $states = array();
    do {
      $results[] = $row_Recordset1['zip_code'];
      $states[] = $row_Recordset1['state_prefix'];
    } while ($row_Recordset1 = mysql_fetch_assoc($Recordset1));
    //Check if form is filled out
    if ((isset($_POST["MM_insert"])) && ($_POST["MM_insert"] == "form1")) {
    //If so, explode textarea values into an array or something
    $zipcodes = explode(",", $_POST['textarea']);
    //MySQL Stuff
    mysql_select_db($database_localhost, $localhost);
    $editFormAction = $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'];
    if (isset($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) {
    $editFormAction .= "?" . htmlentities($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']);
    //my loop to go through each zip code one by one
    foreach($zipcodes as $value)
    //Let's see if the value from the textarea is in our $results array from above
    if (in_array($value, $results)){
    //If it is in the array - then insert it into the database with the tech id
      $insertSQL = sprintf("INSERT INTO zip_zip (zip_code, tech_id) VALUES (%s, %s)",

  • How to put date&time into a variable from a database?

    In an Oracle table, myDateColumn is 2002-06-25 17:40:55. I can't put it into a variable.
    java.text.SimpleDateFormat dF=new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss");
    rs=stmt.executeQuery("select myDateColumn from myTable");
    rs.next()
    System.out.println(rs.getString(1)); // 2002-06-25 17:40:55 is output
    java.util.Date myDate=rs.getDate(1);
    out.println(dF.format(myDate)); // 25/06/2002 00:00:00 is output
    java.util.Date myDate=rs.getTime(1);
    out.println(dF.format(myDate)); // 01/01/1970 17:40:55 is output
    My question is: How should I put this date (both date and time) into a variable, myDate?

    There are three JDBC types relating to time:
    1] The JDBC DATE type represents a date consisting of day, month, and year. The corresponding SQL DATE type is defined in SQL-92, but it is implemented by only a subset of the major databases. Some databases offer alternative SQL types that support similar semantics.
    2] The JDBC TIME type represents a time consisting of hours, minutes, and seconds. The corresponding SQL TIME type is defined in SQL-92, but it is implemented by only a subset of the major databases. As with DATE, some databases offer alternative SQL types that support similar semantics.
    3] The JDBC TIMESTAMP type represents DATE plus TIME plus a nanosecond field. The corresponding SQL TIMESTAMP type is defined in SQL-92, but it is implemented by only a very small number of databases.
    In ur case pls use:
    java.sql.Timestamp
    good luck !

  • Insert a value of type Date/Time into a database

    I am trying to insert a value of type date time into an access database. What is the format needed to insert the date/time.
    Thanks,
    -Amos

    I had all kinds of problems getting a datetime inserted into a SQl Server DB. Probably similar so this is what I do:
    String date = new String("01/01/97 12:00:00");
    stmt.setObject(1, date);
    I tried using TimeStamp's but found I got an occasional Fractional Truncation exception back from the driver. Never had a problem inserting a String using the setObject() method though.
    Hope this helps

  • Sales order is not taking shipping transit lead time into consideration

    Hi,
    We have following scenario -
    1. Sales order is created in AT organization.
    2. There is no onhand in any of the organizations including AT.
    3. The scheduled ship date for sales order comes as order creation date + item lead time = 15-Sep-2011.
    3. PO for sufficient quantity is available at UK org with need-by date as 01-Jun-2011.
    5. Post processing item lead time for this item is 1 day.
    4. intransit shipment is setup between UK and AT.
    5. Shipment Transit lead times are also set up at 3 days between locations of UK and AT.
    6. ASCP plan is run.
    7. Sales Order is unscheduled and rescheduled via API MSC_ATP_PUB, which takes the ATP details from UK (based on the sourcing rules). The sheduled ship date comes as 02-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + 1 day of post processing).
    8. Expectation is that API should also take transit lead time into consideration while calculating the ATP dates and hence the Expectation is that scheduled ship date should come as 05-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + Transit lead time + 1 day of post processing).
    Please let me know
    a. if this is standard functionality of oracle or not.
    b. if this is standard functionality then what setups are missing required for the same to be achieved.
    UAT is held up for this issue. Please help urgently.
    Regards.

    Oracle is supposed to take the in-transit time into consideration.
    Are you running a constrained plan or an unconstrained one?
    Make sure you defined the inter-org network as described in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A60725_05/html/comnls/us/inv/shipne01.htm.
    or go to Inventory > Setup > Organization > Inter-Location Transit Times and enter it there.

  • Insert current date and time into Oracle date type field

    I have a JDBC current date and time insert into Oracle 9i that almost works. It submits the current date and a fixed time into the Oracle date type field. I am using Tomcat 6.0.20.
    For example if I insert the data at 7:24:04 PM on Feb 16, 2010 it will insert as: 16-Feb-2010 12:00:00 AM
    The date part works but the time always shows 12:00:00 AM no matter what date or time the data is inserted.
    Here is what I have for my JDBC inserts and I also tried something with DateFormat:
    PreparedStatement ps; Date mydate = new Date(new java.util.Date().getTime()); //insert statement here.... stmt.setDate(1,mydate);
    I also tried:
    PreparedStatement ps; java.sql.Timestamp mydate = new java.sql.Timestamp(new java.util.Date().getTime()); SimpleDateFormat fmt = new SimpleDateFormat(.... //insert statement here.... ps.setTimestamp(1,fmt.format(mydate));
    Both keep submitting the date into Oracle as 16-Feb-2010 12:00:00 AM
    Anyway to get the current date and time? For example if I insert the data at 7:24.04 pm today it should show as 16-Feb-2010 07:24.04 PM in Oracle.

  • Receive CSV attachment via Mail Adapter and process into ABAP proxy

    Hi,
    I have the following scenario:
    1. Receive e-mail with CSV attachment
    2. Process through Mail adapter (KeepAttachments = Yes in order to retain the CSV attachment)
    3. Receive into ABAP proxy (with CSV attachment)
    The next step is to read the attachment in the ABAP proxy and process the CSV attachment data into CRM.
    The CSV attachment contains the data I wish to process - the body of the e-mail will not contain this information.
    The problem I have is reading the attachment data in the proxy - not sure of the methods/class to call - anyone got any ideas ?
    Another question is this the best way to do this and process the CSV attachment data ?
    I know I could use the PayloadSwapBean to switch the payload to the attachment but then I am stumped with how the attachment is processed through PI 7.1 - how do you transform the CSV format payload into XML so PI will be able to process it through mapping.
    Either option is viable - an answer to either question would be great.
    1. How do you read the attachment data in an inbound ABAP proxy ?
    2. How do you transform the CSV attachment data after the PayloadSwapBean from CSV to XML ?
    Kind regards
    Colin.

    Hi Colin
    As you are not interested in processing the body of email. Swap the payload to the attachment using the PayloadSwapBean
    Change the content from CSV to XML using MessageTransformBean. Now pass this information to Proxy. You dont need to deal with attachments in proxy.
    It is not possible to read attachment in server proxy because the class and interface you create will not have data type which can refer to an attachment processing interface in ABAP.
    Thanks
    Gaurav
