JMS to RFC without ccBPM ????

Hi all,
We have a scenario that uses the JMS Request/Reply towards the SAP R/3 4.6C (RFC), so we use the BPM to connect the JMS request (with correlation ID) to the sync RFC and then to the JMS Reply (pass the correlation ID), it works but <u><b>we have very bad performance</b></u>, does someone knows other ways to connect the JMS to RFC ?????
or maybe you have any idea regarding the performance ????
Regards,
Yaki

Hi,
>>>> it works but we have very bad performance,
there are so manz wazt that influence this that it
it hard to name all of them
you need to check which of the steps takes too much time send receive transform
and then decide what to do - new patch, change memory seetings, more memory, other parameters etc..
there realy is much you can do
btw
of course it's very good to use a stress test tool
to stimulate a much bigger number of messages then you have now...
the performance issues are those where the fun begins

michal

  • SOAP to Synch JMS(Websphere MQ) without BPM

    Hi
i  have created an interface for SOAP to Synch JMS (Websphere MQ)without BPM.
I have reffered the SAP Note 1086303 - XI JMS Adapter and IBM Websphere MQ (Que : 4).
Since JMS adapter is a Asynchronous adapter with EO & EOIO, how to proceed with this interface.
    I am  in PI 7.11 .....
    Sender : Soap Adapter
    Receiver : Created 2 JMS channels....1) Receiver(for Request Queue) 2) Sender(Response Queue)
I am testing through soap Ui....
Please let me know if someone has done this interface..
    Regards
    Reema

I have done the configuration using integrated configuration where sender is Portal & receiver is receiver JMS channel.
Not sure how it works in case of Integrated Configuration...may be you can first try with the normal procedure (including IE) and then check if the flow is working.
what should be the sender service portal or JMS MQ?
The sender would be the JMS service....the response soming from the JMS will be posted to the waiting response part of the original sender (in your case SOAP).

  • Send multiple records to rfc without using BPM

    Dear Experts,
Could you please help on the following scenario.
I need to send multiple customer master data records from a file  to rfc without using BPM.
The following is the mapping i am using
    source                                                 Target( RFC)
    ======                                          =============
    Tree             occurance   type           Tree occurance
    cust_mt        1..1
       customer     0..unbound -
    >          ztest_cust( rfc )  1..1
          cname     1..1             -
    >            cname   0..1
          cno          1..1            -
    >            cno       0..1
           bank           -
    >            bank    0..1
                                                                    item :  0..unbound
             code      -
    >                                   code   0..1
             name     -
    >                                    name  0..1
             location   -
    >                                      location 0..1
    1. Multiple banks possible for one customer
    2. Multiple customers possible in datafile from mdm
Problem 1:Only one customer record from file is being sent to RFC thouth many records are in the file, the second, third .. and so on records not being sent to rfc.
    Problem 2:
if add o.. unbound for the rfc occurance, <messages>,<message1> tags are getting added in message mapping, and no single customer record sent to rfc..
Your help is rewarded with good points.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks.
    sravya.

    Hi VJ,
Thank you for the immediate reply.
one more thing, when i tried to change the occurences of   ztest_cust( rfc) to 0..unbound,
I am not seeing the occurances updated in the imported rfc structure.
The following is the wsdl for rfc, could you please help me to add occurances 0..unbound.
    Thanks a lot.

  • JMS Adapter - RFC (Sync ) RFC Repsonse- JMS Adapter

    Hello,
We have 40K + messages coming in from a 3rd party system through JMS Adapter. We need to process the messages in R/3 using RFC (sync) adapter and send the response back to the 3rd party system   “with the messageID (CorrelationID)” using a JMS adapter.
Is there any procedure to do the same without BPM?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Peter,
Another easy way to decouple your process could be to send RFC data to R/3 asynchrounously (which means treat your function module as an asynch message interface, which is possible), and at the end of the inbound function module code invoke a "response function module" pointing at XI as RFC destination. This second flow will, of course, map to and write to JMS.
That should be little change to your code, right?
I've done the same story with ABAP proxies and it work perfectly.
    Let me know.
    Cheers,
    Alex

  • Issue with making multiple web service calls without ccBPM

    I have an issue -
Sync call from ECC -> check global param if EMPTY
-> if NOT EMPTY call Web service 1
                                         -> parse the return value
-> call Web Service 3 ( pass the value from global param in the SOAP header to WS3)
-> pass the return value back to ECC
-> if EMPTY call Web Service 2
                                        -> parse the return value
-> call Web Service 3 ( pass the value from WS2 in the SOAP header to WS3)
-> pass the return value back to ECC
Is it possible to design this scenario without using ccBPM? To start with, I can always read the global parameter but cannot find a way to read the response from WS1 or WS2 and pass it to WS3 without a ccBPM. Even if I use a ccBPM I still have the issue of passing the value (either global param or WS2 return val) in the SOAP Header to WS3.
If I open a S/A bridge, all the subsequent WS calls are converted to async calls. Not sure how that will work out.
For the last step, looks like I might have to manually build the data types without using the WSDL (XML SOAP envelope rather than a WSDL) to generate the Service Interface to prevent the Adapter from building the envelope. Is there any other way that I havent investigated?
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks
    Sridhar

  • Testing RFC without Executing RFC in SAP R/3

    Hi All,
Is it possible to test a sender RFC adapter to invoke Web service in SAP XI without executing RFC in R/3. I am facing problems when executing RFC in R/3. So would like to confirm that the other portion ie, from XI to Webservice is working fine. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thx
    Deno

    Hi Deno,
Just go in a stepwise manner and you will know here the error is.
    1. First execute RFC and see if it reaches SAP XI.
    2. Check in Transaction SXMB_MONI as to which step is going into error.
    3. If it's not reaching XI ythen there is problem with RFC destination or the RFC adapter config check that.

  • File-To-RFC without using BPM

    hey guys
is a File-To-RFC scenario possible without using BPM? i have gone through the blog by Arpit Seth ( /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit ) but it uses BPM.
i am new to XI and not very comfortable with BPM.
please let me know if BPM is the only way out or are there some other methods too.
Also under what circumstances one should use BPM?
    thanx in advance.
    aamir suhail

    Hi,
it's a standard non BPM scenario
(you can find many weblogs like this)
the only different thing is the RFC signature import
    (inside repository)
and the use of different channels (file and RFC)
you can find many examples in my XI FAQ
    (document section)

  • SOAP-PI-File scenario: synchronous file pickup possible without ccBPM?

    Hi,
is it possible that I pick up a file synchronous without usage of ccBPM? What I'd like to achieve: I'd like to send a filename in the body of a SOAP request. Depending on that filename, I'd like to collect that file on the filesystem and send it back as the message body of the SOAP response. From my understanding, the receiver file adapter can just write files. In my scenario, I'd need the receiver file adapter for picking up a file (which is normally a sender file adapter).
Anybody with a good hint how to achieve something like that?
    Best regards
    Holger

    Hi colleagues,
I am facing a similar requirement.
Provide file content via synchronous Webservice (trigger)
Webservice (sender) <-> PI <-> File (receiver)
Is there a possibilty to use File/FTP Adapter, which is normally asynchronous by default in such a scenario e.g. by using a SAP adapter module.
Or are there any other standard PI functions to meet this requirement.
Otherwise a specific Webservice have to be created which will read the file and return it´s content within the webservice response. Do you see a possibility to deploy such a service on the PI Java server?
Due to development effort I would prefer a standard function instead of creation of specific Webservice.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
    Best regards,
    Jochen

  • Choosing Receiver Interface (IDoc or RFC) without using BPM

    Hi,
We have a scenario wherein the receiver interface (either IDoc or RFC) must be dynamically determined at runtime based on the source message. I've tried using Multi-Mapping but this did not work since IDoc and RFC interfaces are not on the same Adapter Engine.
How do I configure this scenario without using BPM?
    Thanks,
    Francis

    Hi,
    >That was my first solution but it did not work since it seems that conditions only work for determining the Operation Mapping to use for the same Receiver interfaces.
not true - not only Operation Mapping but also receiver agreement
    so the receiver's channel
    >I was misled into thinking that we could use it to dynamically determine the receiver interface.
but you can do it over there
intrface determination can be used for pseudo receiver determination too
so you can have one interface that either goes to one
channel or the other (within the same receiver)

    Hello,
According to this thread, Sender SOAP adapter without authentication
appending the username/password in the URL only work for adapters that lie on the ABAP stack. If you want, you can try using the URL in the Propose URL when generating the WSDL.
To completely remove user authentication for SOAP Adapter, read Bhavesh's reply in the thread below
Re: SOAP User ID/Password  - Authoraization
Note that by doing so, all username/password authentication will be removed for all scenarios that use SOAP Adapter.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • How to PI call R/3 RFC without BPM.

    Hi Expert.
Why PI direct call RFC probably is not a possibility of doing without BPM.
It makes RFC of separate way, it calling it is made Report program where there is a possibility of doing.
Different adapter where it becomes direct call, RFC piece bay occupational calling there probably is not a possibility of doing.

Krishna Moorthy P, Thank you so much your answer.
    I add question.
    My scenario is very simple.
Case 1. File to RFC to JDBC Scenario. (Sync)
Using BPM. PI call File adatper, and PI call RFC Function, and RFC return data send to PI to JDBC.
Case 2. QRFC to JDBC Scenario.(Async)
Using se37 for back job. So, Back job Function send to PI to JDBC.
In this two case, to what kind of is the efficiency better.
<b>I think that case 2 is performance better case1.</b>
It isn't like that? Krishna Moorthy P

  • Installing JMS 3.6 without JRE and JDK

I'm looking for a way to install JMS only, without installing the new versions of JRE and JDK. The application I'm working on works with JRE 1.5.0_02 only, and there is no plan to change that in the near future, however we want to upgrade to JMS 3.6 to be able to use the new imqPingInterval.

Are you shure you have included the jre PATH (not CLASSPATH) in your PATH variable?
Assuming you're working in a Linux (or unix) environmet, check the PATH: it should contain /usr/local/jdk1.3.1_01/jre/bin.
I'm not sure this is really the answer, but there's no damage on trying it! :-)

  • Calling an RFC without the code being present on the destination system

    Hi All,
    Here is my problem.
I want to execute a piece of code on a system from a program currently running on another system,
get the data and return back.
E.G. I am having a subroutine on development system. Let's say there is a select query inside the subroutine to get PARTNER from BUT000 based on certain parameters. The program should call an RFC get the data for the select query from the Production system and return the result back to the development system.
Please note : Here, I don't want to write the same piece of code on the production system.
<b>Is there any function module for the same or any idea on how to go about it.</b>
