can anyone provide some sample code or some info on how to write a JMX client in java(stand alone java program) which invokes a method in JMX service(using jboss API's)

I recently had a similar problem, the PortableRemoteObject.narrow(...) is not implemented to cater for ejb3 in earlier versions of JBoss - including JBoss4.x. I deployed my ejb3 on JBoss5 and everything works well.
Another alternative is to use a standalone client...it worked well for me!

Programming Weblogic with jmx without using weblogic api?

I want to know if it is possible to program weblogic management service without
using weblogic api but just rely on standard JMX interface and methods.
Currently, I am relying on weblogic api weblogic.jndi.Environment and weblogic.management.MBeanHome
interface to get the context and access the MBean Server subsystem. Can I find
the equivalent using jmx?
My code is as follows:

env.setSecurityPrincipal(username);

It told me that I need to use weblogic.management.MBeanHome interface to get MBeanHome
and from there then I can only use jmx interface.
I presume it is not possible not to use weblogic.jar if I want to establish the
initial connection with Weblogic server?

How streaming an audio or video files from google drive using google api objective-c client?

I have implemented streaming an audio or video files by mpmovieplayer from Dropbox. For this purpose I am using Dropbox sdk. Audio or video files are playing with no problem from dropbox in my app.
But, I can not implement the same functionality from Google drive. I am using alternateLink,webcontentLink,EmbedLink,Exportlink that we get from google drive. But mpmovieplayer does not play audio or video. So how can get any link from google drive,by which i can streaming an audio or video file from google drive. I have listed all google drive files in a table view. I am using google api objective-c client. So please help me. Thanks in advance.

I understand that you're working on a way to help moving back files to google drive. Actually, I can copy / paste, but it always renames the files, so I end up with both a "copy of" and my original file.
could you save and overwite the original file when it already exists ? (perhaps an option in the settings) ?

Possible to have weblogic 9 client use weblogic 8 jmx server?

I have a client that i want to run in weblogic 9, but it needs to access mbeans remotely in weblogic 8 servers.
At first I got the folowing error, which could be fixed by setting -Djmx.serial.form=1.0
Caused by: java.io.InvalidClassException: javax.management.ObjectName; local class incompatible: stream classdesc serialVersionUID = -5467795090068647408, local class serialVersionUID = 1081892073854801359
But now I have problems with other classes
Caused by: java.rmi.UnmarshalException: failed to unmarshal class weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedUser; nested exception is: java.io.StreamCorruptedException

Hello. Interesting, I posted a separate post just today about the same StreamCorruptedException when calling a RemoteEJB. The EJB is hosted on WLS 8.1.5 running on JSE 1.4. The client is running on WLS 10.0 running on JSE 6.

Error -- Java code using OIM API to find no of users in OIM

I hav a requirement that I need to query OIM to find out the total no of active users in the system using a stand alone java program to determine some other process. So I have developed a simple java code but it fails in the below line
rset=userIntf.findAllUsers(map); -- It throws null pointer exception
I have tried with deleteUser() instead of findUsers() , still it throws the null pointer exception on the same line.I have checked the other posts in the forum but could not find out where is the mistake. Can u please suggest me??

Can I use external APIs to authenticate users?

I have been asked to develop a lightswitch application either as desktop client or HTML client. Now I am confused about the authentication
mechanism in LightSwitch, and it leads a question: Can I authenticate my users from an external website or application?
For the HTML client, I have been thinking that whether I could use external APIs like Facebook Login API to authenticate my users? If I could, the code should be JavaScript, then where should I put it, and how can I configure my LS application?
For the desktop client, same question, if I could identify my users by pulling some user information from an external website, what kind of code/Programming Language shall I use?

This is not supported out of the box.
For in-browser desktop applications, you can hack around this by setting up the social media credentials, then redirecting to your desktop application while passing the self-encrypted credentials. I explained this workaround in
this article.
I don't have enough production experience with HTML apps yet. However when you use Forms authentication, I suspect you can simply fill in the IPrincipal on the HttpContext.Current, then redirect to your HTML app, and the LightSwitch Forms Auth mechanism
would pick up your principal as valid credentials. I wish I had time to show you some code for this, would make a great blog post :/

What is your SBO version? I've seen several cases in which the login/connection procedure (both in the client and via DI API) has become much slower after upgrading to SBO 2005.
Do you experience the same slowness when connecting via DI API in a non-WebService setting?
I would not recommend using DI API in a web service context in the first place. DI Server would give you a much more robust, stable and scalable infrastructure to build upon.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create document set along with managed metadata fields.
The REST API does not currently support working with Managed Metadata or Taxonomy fields.
As a workaround, we can use the JavaScript Client Object Model.

IllegalStateException while invoking livecycle formserver using java api

I am new to livecycle formserver.when i am trying to invoke formserver using java api ,it is giving illegal state exception.My servlet application to invoke formserver is deployed in tomcat 5.o in one system and jboss with formserver is in anohter system.
I am using the following properties to connect formserver in another system.

Best practice for development using REST API - OData

Hi All, I am new to REST. I am a developer who works mostly in server-side code using Visual Studio. Now that Microsoft is advocating to write code using REST API instead of server-side code or client side object model, I am trying to use REST API.
I googled and most of the example shows to write a code and put it on Content Editor/Script Editor. How to organize code and deploy to the staging/production in this scenario? Is there any Best Practice or example around this?

If you are writing code in aspx or cs it does not mean that you need to deploy it in the SharePoint server, it could be any other application running from your remote server. What I mean it you can use C# & Rest API to connect to SharePoint server.
REST API in SharePoint 2013 provides the developers with a simple standardized method of retrieving information from SharePoint and it can be used from any technology that is capable of sending standard HTTP requests.
