JMX/RMI and Automatic Code Downloading

There is a brief discussion of automatic code downloading in the JMX Best Practices document (http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/core/mntr-mgmt/javamanagement/best-practices.jsp#mozTocId348704), but not enough to actually implement it.
Would someone be kind enough to point me to some documentation on the subject, and/or maybe provide a few pointers?

If you want to know more about RMI dynamic code downloading have a look at the following link:

You should also know that you can supply a ClassLoader to both the JMXConnectorServer and JMXConnector at instantiation time in the environment map. This ClassLoader will be used by the JMX connectors to serialize/deserialize the method parameters and return values when getting and setting attributes, or invoking operations on a given MBean.
If you want to know more about how classloading works within the JMX connectors have a look at Chapter 13 "Connectors" in the JMX 1.4 specification:

If you're trying to do anything with native code, then you should be familiar with JNI API, windows or not.
Check out the JNI tutorials on this site and i'm sure they'll provide you with JNI tutorials and samples.

Working with Templates and Automatic Code Changes

I am working in DW CS6.
I am creating a new page based on a template and when DW creates the new page, it is automatically changing the paths to the links to .css and .js files. These changes are breaking the template. Is there a way to keep the auto-changes from occurring?
BTW - All the pages were created with a different template and I was able to modify the pages and apply this template to those pages without a problem. All is beautiful.

Always set site links to "Document" unless you NEED "Site Root". If you don't know whether you need them, then you don't need them. When you understand that you need them and why you need them, then you can use "Site Root"!

Downloads disappear from list immediately and automatically when download completed

Everytime a download completes it disappears from list automatically

Are you using Firefox 3.6 or Firefox 4?? Your "More system details..." link shows that you have turned off storing of history using a Firefox 4 preference (places.history.enabled), but your post says Firefox 3.6.17.
Anyway, the general history setting affects not only site URLs, but also downloads. To treat them separately, go to
Tools > Options > Privacy
and change to Custom history settings. Does that solve it?

Custom Snippet and automatic code

How can I add my own custom snippets?
Also, how can I modify the text that is put out automatically by Raptor when creating say for example a package or trigger.
So my custom automatic text for a new package will have my format and also the comments section.

Is the upgrade to 4.2 free and automatic?

I'm upgrading from a company-built PC that has a history of crashing to a custom BOXX workstation at the end of the month and will be running Windows 7. I've read on some of the forums that CS4.1 has some issues with Win7 and I'm wondering if the upgrade to 4.2 will be free and automatic via downloadable updates, or if I should wait to purchase my copy of CS4 until after they release 4.2? (I'm currently using CS3).

In the past point releases have always been free. What Adobe decides this time is a question to ask them. Anyway, the 4.2 release is expected shortly, my guess is within weeks after Win7 has been officially released.

I don't know exactly what they said b/c they are nolonger on my screen. It said something to the effect of "incomplete dowload, there was an eror during the dowload of *Song*".
The songs purchased were showing in my purchased list with an "exclamation point" by them, which I believe indicates the download was incomplete. I restarted iTunes and the songs are no longer on my "Purchased list".
I was still charged after restarting iTunes

RMI and JMX

Hello,
we are having problems trying to stop an RMI Server.
We activate the options for JMX in the startup of Tomcat for JDK 1.5.0_04.
all of this works fine, we can access remote with the JConsole without any problem. But when we stop the tomcat, it stops well, but a process of the RMI server remains in the system and the only way to stop is with a killall command.
Somebody knows what its happend?? We have tried in windows and there it works fine, no RMI process or similar remains, it only happens in Linux.

RMI-IIOP, C++ and mobile code

Hi,
I'd like to know whether it is possible to use RMI-IIOP [1] to connect a Java component to a C++ component on a remote end and use "mobile code" [2]. In other words, a C++ client connects to a remote Java component, downloads a class file and executes it locally. On the flip side, a C++ component uploads a class file to a Java end for remote execution.
I see much discussion about the value of RMI-IIOP for connecting Java and C++ components but I see little value for this if you lose the "mobile code" capability. What are the advantages of using RMI vs RMI-IIOP vs "web services"? Am I missing something?

Family share and automatic downloads

I recently upgraded all my family to iOS 8 and wanted to try and set each one an iCloud account, there are several things that doesn't work with family share and I wanted to make sure that it's not cause I dont k ow how to activate them.
1. iTunes match is not working on the family devices, only on my account
2. I can't use the icloud storage I have to backup other family devices
3. I can't set up auto download of app so I could get my kids new games and they will automatically be downloaded to their iPads
if you know how to make those issues work I would be really happy!

why you don't sync with itunes (on mac or pc) with deleting all at first? turn off syncing music, apply, then turn it on again

Creative Cloud Installation Failed Download Error - Error Type -7 and Error Code - 401

I subscribed to Creative Cloud in December 2012 and have been trying to install the applications, but the "Installation Failed" through the Adobe Application Manager. (see screenshot)
Here is a line from my log file:
01/08/13 11:08:48:346 | [WARN] | | ASU | PDApp | DownloadError | | | 6120 | Download Error has come with GDE Error type - -7 and error code - 401
I tried searching for the same error code in the "knowledge base" but couldn't locate any.
I am on a Windows 7 (x64) machine. I also have CS5.5 installed.
Anyone have this problem? Please help or point me in the right direction if you can. Thanks!

   I tried the above steps, with no luck. I have admin rights on both laptop and desktop I'm trying to install to. I have updated my AAM on both machines with no issue (when using the direct link above). But when I click the 'Try' link to download an application, it shows the scrolling status bar for a few seconds, then "Installation Failed" 'Download error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support. (-7)'   Retry only produces same results.
Both machines are running Win 7 Pro - SP1 64bit
     (laptop - 16 GB RAM & Core i7-2760QM 2.40 GHz processor)
     (desktop - 8 GB RAM & Xeon W3520 2.67GHz processor)
I am running in a corporate setting with I'm sure all sorts of Firewall protection etc...
I'm planning on asking for a CC membership, but wanted to check out the new features first....

Yes, the old album art view is gone, bu you can see the album art for a song that's playing by clicking on the art image and it will open a bigger view.

Please select all open PO according to the following conditions - select if the PO satisfies any one of the below conditions:
1) Open Quantity is less than 10% of total quantity
2) Delivery date is more than 3 months in the past
3) Delivery completed indicator is set and delivery date is more than 6 months in the past.
Then a manual decision is required. Best is to develop a report which will display the list and user can select and block from the report itself.
Also, the 10%, 3 months, etc values are depending on the customer. You may want to modify these as suitable.
